When four mountain mercenaries found me in a dirty wedding dress, deep into several shots of tequila and with mascara stains under my eyes, they had a few questions. Like WTH? When they learned about the a-holes who used me in their quest to get ahead—who lied, stole, and tossed me aside like a piece of human garbage, they set out to exact revenge. Those people, who exploited me and preyed on my innocence, should have just killed me because now they’re going to pay, thanks to my men. My enemies became theirs. My shame became theirs. My body became theirs. And my heart became theirs. I got back what was mine, and then some. Think revenge with four hot mountain mercenaries is fun? You’re damn right it is.
This naughty, over-the-top romance includes 4 hulking mountain men with checkered pasts and doubtful futures, claiming the one woman they can’t live without. If you love outrageous stories with tough-as-nails ex-military dudes, this is the book for you.
>>Please note: books in this series can be read in any order. Enjoy!<<

Dear Reader: I’m USA TODAY bestselling contemporary romance author Mika Lane, and am all about bringing you sexy, sassy stories with imperfect heroines and the bad-a*s dudes they bring to their knees. And I have a special love for romance with multiple guys because why should we have to settle for just one hunky man?
Please join my Insider Group and be the first to hear about giveaways, sales, pre-orders, ARCs, and most importantly, a free sexy short story: http://mikalane.com/join-mailing-list/. Writing has been a passion of mine since, well, forever (my first book was The Day I Ate the Milkyway, a true fourth-grade masterpiece). These days, steamy romance, both dark and funny, gives purpose to my days and nights as I create worlds and characters who defy the imagination. I live in magical Northern California with my own handsome alpha dude, sometimes known as Mr. Mika Lane, and two devilish cats named Chuck and Murray. These three males also defy my imagination from time to time.
A lover of shiny things, I've been known to try new recipes on unsuspecting friends, find hiding places so I can read undisturbed, and spend my last dollar on a plane ticket somewhere.
I'll always promise you a hot, sexy romp and some version of a modern-day happily ever after.
Alessia almost made the biggest mistake of her life, well she'd already kind of made the first one. Being on a reality TV show, really wasn't all it's cut out to be and she certainly didn't expect to come out on top. Now a friend slipped her a wedding present of sorts that sends her fleeing the wedding. Left on her own with only the hideous gown on her back and some cash in her ridiculous looking purse she is being tormented by a couple of jerks at this small town tavern.
Dash is heading back to Savage Mountain from a conference of 'hackers' in Los Vegas. He needed real food instead of snack so he stopped at this small town tavern where the waitress and the bartender didn't seem to care that their patrons were harassing a woman. Of course he can't just leave her there.
Now Dash doesn't live alone on Savage Mountain, he lives there with three other guys and they do contract security type work. The mountain is the perfect place for them because it's secure and out of the way. Since Alissia has no place to go, Dash continues his journey home, with her.
Ah the tangled web! The producer of the show trying to reach the missing bride, her best friend who is plain old worried and lots of other drama weaves it's way through the pages.
Lots of heat initiated by the sweet Alessia and the cutest little puppy she adopts.
Fast-paced, fun, and some vindication for the crap Alessia had to put up with her co-host and the producer.
why oh why do I keep trying to read these reverse harem books? I am on a quest to find a realistic way of a menage actually playing out, but alas it did not happen for me in this book. And then there is the heroine the B#$h seriously got on my last nerve I cannot believe she actually gave a sh*t about any of the guys, I mean she runs off without so much as a thank you note, then they rescue her then she runs off again and ruins everything. I did so many eye rolls I gave myself a headache.... if I pick up one of these books again somebody shoot me.

I like Mike's Savage Mountain Men series. This book had an interesting few changes in the stories twists. I kinda wish though that each story changed the men's various roles in the series... Maybe rescuing a lady on one of their top secret missions.... Or a new recruit in the private security team... I kinda felt this story was a bit less finished, but it was still good.
Ms. Mika Lane has released another example of her incredible talent and creativity with, The Prize. This book centers around Alessia, a recent reality star run away. Yep, she left her would be Husband; Montgomery, at the alter and for a very good reason. This is the best decision she's made in years. Running away, with no destination in mind, she finds herself, still in her wedding dress, at a bar, surrounded by men who are determined to hassle her. Being rescued by a complete stranger, Dash, and accompanying him home, is the second greatest decision. In the light of day; Alessia is overwhelmed with each of these delicious looking roommates.
Dash may of saved her but together, each of these secretive men; Dash, Forrest, Turk & Remy are going to heal her and give her the happily ever after that she deserves. Follow along as these five fight for what is right, as well as Alessia's heart. It might be unconventional to some, however, for these five, it is perfection. Ms. Lane has published another impeccable release, with a riveting storyline, for us to enjoy. Very Impressive Release.
I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader's copy of The Prize in exchange for my honest and voluntarily given opinion and I highly recommend reading this book as well as anything written by Ms. Lane.
I can not wait to see what is next from this brilliant Author.
Alessia was whisked away from her car rental job to a reality dating show where America fell in love with her. So did the leading man. But when she discovered it was all a lie she took off, only to be rescued drunk still in her wedding dress by a man passing through. When she wakes up next, she discovers she's at his secret mountain home where he lives with his 3 best friends. After a few run-ins, a couple of botched escape attempts, and a mission to recover her pay, Alessia knows that one groom could have never made her as happy as her mountain men.
This book, like the series, follows the formula for a quick, over the top, insta-lust romance. Former military, now mercenary men. Dangerous, secretive life. One adorable sweet man, one gruff nasty/misunderstood man, two middlemen. This one added a dog. I loved Alessia's back story but I didn't like her lack of sense. I also thought there was too little development in the guy's characters. I felt like we didn't know one guy at all and another just barely. These stories entertain because there is a quick connection with the characters and they are hot. This one misses the mark.
Poor Alessia is not having a good day at all when she finds out that the man she is supposed to marry is cheating on her the day of the wedding. Things go from bad to worse when she leaves and is threatened by those that run the show where she met said groom-to-be. Enter some super hot mountain men and you have the makings for a steamy romance book. I enjoyed this book quite a bit and cannot wait to see what Mika Lane comes up with next.
A sexy, fun quick read with some action tied in too. Alesia receives a gift on her wedding day that will only begin to reveal the deception she has been believing for truth. After being on a dating show, and leaving the groom at the altar she ends up with 4 mountain men. They have secrets that could put her life in danger. Alesia has too much fight in her to take everything lying down. I enjoyed this story.
I absolutely loved this book. I adore RH fiction, but even so to appreciate it, the book has to have a real plot, good characters and not just be based on erotica. This one is fantastic. I loved all of the characters, the special ops side being mixed with reality tv was excellent and lead to some seriously hilarious moments.
Mika Lane did it again. Love Savage Mountain. And all the guys that call it home. When Aleesia gets picked to be on a reality show, little did she know it would lead her to the 4 guys that would change her life .
Title: The Prize Author: Mika Lane Format: Audio Narrator: Laurie West Genre: Romance, runaway bride, reality TV, suspense, mercenary, military Standalone: yes Part of a Series: book 4 of 4 in the Savage Mountain Men series POV: Alessia, Dash, Forest, Turk, Remy Steam Level: hot 4/5
The Prize is Book 4 of 4 in the Savage Mountain Men series. All books are standalone with no interconnected characters. The Prize was fun, especially with their cabin being in a remote and secret location and the suspense of Alessia being on reality TV. The guys were fun, especially with Dash’s computer skills. I liked the epilogue and how one of guy’s story was in the road to being mended. Overall The Prize was a lot of fun but I liked some of the earlier books better. But if you want a quick, steamy listen that’s also rather funny at times then check out The Prize.
I listened to this in the Savage Mountain Men Collection box set that I got for free from Audiobooks Unleashed. This is my honest and voluntary review.
Alessia runs away from her wedding when she finds out that the groom has been having an affair. While drinking her sorrows away at a bar in her wedding dress, she manages to find her way to Savage Mountain and four men that reside there. She has to deal with the fallout of leaving the wedding while also trying to not fall for any of her four temporary housemates. Will she want to go back to her life or stay with the men that prove to be more than loyal to each other?
I think this was the better of the four books. Less cheesy and I feel like the story was better developed. The characters also seemed more developed.
Again, the ending wraps everything up nicely and you get that happily ever after.
No depth to the characters. A lot of chapters on the back story and very little about the *ahem* climax. MFMMM, but not enough excitement between the characters to be anything interesting. Reverse harem seems like it would be more about the guys worshipping her, not just her pleasing them together, but that wasn't the case. Narrator was OK. 1.15%
I've enjoyed this series but had a hard time connecting with Alessia. She seemed pretty weak and for someone who is up on tv shows, it seemed a little far fetched that she wouldn't know what special ops or a mission are. Loved the alpha males.
Sometimes I just need a quick but smoking hot read and this book provided me with that! I enjoyed the story and the characters. Normally I don't read a lot of RH stories but I'm finding with this author, I'm loving them.
Although I have enjoyed the Savage Mountain series, this was my least favorite book. The story felt a bit rushed and Alessia really came across as an airhead. I can’t believe in this day and age, people believe reality television is not scripted in some way! Aside from that, the male characters were not fully developed - which I would have liked. As serious as their work is supposed to be (and the security of the mountain to be “better than Fort Knox”) they had an awful lot of easy breaches (the cameramen, Alessia walking off the mountain and also stumbling across their compound during a top secret call) that just didn’t make sense. The epilogue was almost a cliffhanger - which I really didn’t like. I wanted to like this book. I was really looking forward to reading it, but it just didn’t work for me. I got hooked on Mika Lane’s contemporary reverse harem books and have followed her since then. I recommend those books for this genre before I would suggest this series.
When Alessia (the MFC in this book) signed up to a TV dating show shes hoping for a little bit of fun and a little bit of money too. Things dont work out how shes plans them though and she ends up running from problems that decision gives her. Straight into the waiting arms (quite literally!) of four hot and secretive men - Dash, Turk, Remy and Forrest. Not all of them want the distraction of having her stay with them. Ive enjoyed all the books in The savage mountain series so far and this book is no different. Great stories (if a little short), Hot men, fiesty women and of course a little bit of sex so whats not to like? An enjoyable read
