It’s just been a treat reading more about astrophysics and the universe with my small mate. He heard a lot more words about the universe, and I learned things too. This books is enthusiastically and authoritatively voiced, pitched perfectly at a young readership, and oozes joy at the wonder of space. It’s beautifully illustrated, and the bite size stories are perfect for budding scientists. I look forward to returning to this again and again with my small mate.

This 200-page non-fiction book presents Astrophysics for children and their parents. It presents the earth, solar system, extrasolar space, the Milky Way and the Universe.
The language is simple and accessible for Middle Grade and older readers. The vocabulary reflects the topics but is well explained. An interesting introductory scientific book examining our world.
I enjoyed the ease of reading about astrophysics.

Why in the world, on the earth and in the sky? All the questions are answered in this extremely reader-friendly book by Lisa Harvey-Smith, an astrophysicist by training.

I’ve really enjoyed flipping through this book and learning all the key facts I need to know about our amazing galaxy.

Surely, plenty enough for me and every of my knowledge-hungry young readers to brag about supernova and supermassive black holes 😯😆📚

I love the format that non fiction writers are using to assist kids to explore the many areas of fascination in the world. The images with the easy language, teaching technical words and theory in an easy to understand format. Loved it and will definitely be finding myself looking to the sky with more understanding and a whole load more curiosity!

I wish I had come across this book when I was a child! Yet I immensely enjoyed it even now when I'm an adult. It presents fundamental knowledge about our Universe in a very clear and plain language. The narrator (Angourie Rice) couldn't be better. Highly recommend reading it to your child before they grow up!

This was a really well written engaging book - for middle-grade readers. I didn't agree with the Big Bang Theory as the basis for creation - I thought that perhaps a wider view point could have been explored.

I was first intrigued by this book when I read that an actual astrophysicist wrote it. An educational adventure that indeed transports readers through the night sky. A book that is suitable for children and adults a like, it was a fun way to explore the solar system, the universe and learn scientific facts about the sky and surrounding planets. With special thanks to Melbourne University Press for sending me a copy for review.
