The Void is a self-help book that talks about various emotions and the results of the same. Unlike most books of this genre, The void categories each topic separately and also recommends a few things that we can easily incorporate in our lifestyle. Reading this book felt like a journey because as you begin the book there is a whirlwind of emotions; anger, frustration, hatred, sorrow, disappointments and so on but by the end of final page, you'll have definitely found a wide range of tips on how to overcome a problem.

There was this phrase in the book, which goes like "Stop treating your stomach like a trashcan." This is my opinion, is a well said statement, describing the overriding impact of unhealthy habits and behaviors.

I like the way this book is formatted. At the end of each chapter, there is a blank space where the reader can freely express his or her thoughts on that particular subject that was addressed in the chapter. I always assumed that writing a self-help book is quite laborious as there are so many factors that the author needs to keep the focus on. Such as the tone - it shouldn't be commanding rather a suggestive and subtle approach works best, lucid writing style, well-defined objectives, crisp motivations, etc. The Void definitely ticked all the aforementioned criteria.

I would recommend this to all the readers.

It’s a short read that can be read in few hours. It belongs to self help genre but it’s quite different than regular self help books. It focuses on our mental peace or inner happiness. Initially it has been explained with example of Ranjit, who is an addict. Each chapter in the books focuses on our development considering psychological aspects such as anger, hitting rock bottom, feeling helpless, etc. Generally I have read all the books which belongs to self help genre focused on how to be reach or be great or achievements etc. But this one actually focuses on mental well being. Like happiness is more important than achieving materialistic things and this can truly help to everyone who are seeking help. Nowadays depression and mental health is major concern. And very few can identify and able to get help. This book is based on psychological aspect. Like how one feels when he is addicted or feel empty. Which all things or the exercises that might help the person. The book has empty spaces for exercises after each chapter. We can ise that as journal or a diary. Every concept have been explained well with well fitted examples. I liked inclusion of tables and examples. That way it is easily understandable. The language of the book is lucid. That way everyone can easily pick that up. Overall good one. Recommended from my side.

This book mainly talks about how much loneliness can harm our mental health and how it is sometimes difficult for others to open up in such times.

A person goes through an emotional rollercoaster when he is alone and has no one to rely upon, the toughest time one can face.
The author has very beautifully expressed the sorrow and how can one overcome that.
This is not a book which talks about basic things that one needs to do to fight depression but instead, it takes you on a journey.
Loved the book a lot. I highly recommend it to people who feel they are lost in life and are not able to find a direction in life.
Thank You Rohit Sethi for writing this book, much needed.

The Void by Rohit Sethi is a beautiful narrative of self-realization and one's own discovery. The author is a famous fitness icon and model who always fought back to achieve the true meaning of his life, is a true inspiration himself.

This is not an essay for motivation or inspiration to achieve success. It only conveys one message: it is okay to be wrong, you are always going in the right direction.

I always liked to read this kind of life essays. They provide good learning experiences for me. Our whole environment is filled with success stories. Our books, our media, our present, all are boasting about success. But this little space here tells you about struggles, pressure, depression, pain and anger. It tells you about the emotions felt by the mass majority of people out there. This is raw, this is an essay of struggle, not a success.

A large part of this book talks about understanding and overcoming pain and anger. One is a disguise of the other. Perhaps the single most important concept that everybody cares about. Someone who experienced every little bit of pain and rose from that anger to a calm self has a rational account of this experience. This makes the book an admirable read.

The book is written like a diary which is talking to a second person. First, he penned down his experience, then his learning and at last his small resolutions to change the root cause. Every chapter follows this trend. Apart from the prose, I really liked the quotes included in the end, especially the quotes from Oscar Wilde.

'Smile and love yourself and your body for the way it is and don't try to make it into something that others want it to be!' - Rohit Sethi
'The Void' is a self help book written by Rohit Sethi.
Its narrated with a perspective of a boy called Ranjit who's an addict in recovery and shares all his life experiences about all the topics from addiction to depression, happiness to sorrows, pain to fear and what not! He also talks on how to overcome depression, anger by being aware, accepting things and staying happy which inturn helps in knowing self-worth.
We often feel empty and low and really need to be uplifted and the book completely manages to help us fill that emptiness that 'VOID.'
Every chapter in the book was impactful.
I liked the way author has narrated every chapter briefly without unnecessary stretching of any of the topics.
The book also teaches about self love and self developmental habits such as meditation, exercise and healthy lifestyle.
For me it was an accesible self- help read which will have an impact forever.
It depicts the various ways to tackle with hardships and negativity. It truly motivates you from inside. What I loved the most is format of this book, there are blank pages at the end of every chapter where you can pour your heart out and write about your opinions and thoughts, agreements and disagreements! Isn't that interesting?
Not just that but there are incredibly inspiring quotes in the book as well as at the end of the book.

I personally feel that the awareness about these topics is a need of an hour.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and
highly recommend the book to each and everyone of you.

Every single person at some or the other time in his or her life has gone through a phase where he or she seems that nothing is working for them and wants to give up. They feel 'void' inside them.
These voids can lead to depression, anxiety and loneliness. Some people don't take these issues seriously as they feel it will pass away with time. Isn't it so ? It's not !!Depression , anxiety can hamper the mental health of a person to such an extent that it may even sometimes cost a person his or her life. Depression, loneliness, mental health are issues which need open end discussion.

The Void is a self help book where the author talks about these issues,he even points out how one can overcome them by being happy, by being aware and creating awareness, by mediation and self honesty.Book even quotes important aspects like pain, love and controlling anger.
Book is written in a very simple and easy language, and everyone can grasp it. Author had very easily simplified the topic for a reader which includes positivity in oneself. Examples, simple explanations and life experiences quoted do leave a positive imprint on the minds of readers. All the points are straight forward which made me think at some points.
Book is represented in a very unique way, there are pages left blank after each chapter to note down points. The last part has quotes by famous personalities. It was a good read for me. Chapters are short and writing style is smooth.Book is full of positivity and motivation, I would recommend this one!!

So I have always been concerned about how few things effect you very much and we never really pay attention to it until it is very late.

An issue as such in this era is the "Mental Health". We never really feel anything is troubling or wrong with our mental health because nobody talks about it. The fear of being tagged with names scares everyone of us.

In this fast life, we have stopped taking care of our physical self, so the point of taking care of mental health is left far behind even though the cases are getting increased and severe. So with all this comes the fear, ambiguity of what to be done next as no one talks about it and there is no immediate solution.

That's why I really love this book because it makes you aware of the situation that you might encounter and it also helps you through it. So even if you aren't a person suffering it still gives you an idea about it so you can be compassionate about it with others and also to be aware that it can happen yo anyone.

Also, the biggest thing is helping and guiding through this time is much more needed which is provided by this book as we realize it really late that there might be an issue bothering us.

I'm really grateful to have read this book and I would recommend this book to all the people, specially to the 18-30 years of age because that is the time where we really transfer into and adult and things might go haywire.

Title: Your Guide

I don't feel helpless anymore because God has been kind enough to provide me the right kind of help: Rohit Sethi

No matter what we are confronting, no matter what will happen, no matter how people react. If there anything, that matters, is you. In my perspective, this is the learning or a descriptive message from the book for knowing oneself. Actually, not for knowing rather awakening. In the hustle-bustle of life, in judgement by world and in other turbulences, we are lost somewhere; where we know that we are something but didn't know what we are. Stop looking up for anything because your happiness, sorrow, anger and even your problem lies within you. You just need to fetch all those mechanisms which can weigh your awareness.
The best thing about the book is that author left space after every chapter to write thoughts and views about the related chapter. Every chapter has its uniqueness. Inclusion of quotes makes the ideas more beautiful. Language is simple but usage of phrasal verbs and Idioms makes it spellbound. To make all this vivid, I like to promulgate that it's not a story, novel or any kind of tale book. It's a collection of ideas which is striving to replenish you with your betterment. It's solely attenuation is you.

The Void

by Sethi Rohit

The book describes self help genre in a new and subtle perspective dealing with daily life emotions including "nothingness". As the name is evident of the deeds the book must portray, but the reader would somewhere find a mystical touch to it. The voids of our life are so prominent and if not taken care of, they can persistently lead to depression and anxiety and thereby causing troubled mental health. The book brushes up those emotions with expressions of meditations, sweating and other fruitful techniques.

Some of the things which could have evidently different is the enhancement of language and addition of subtle humour to it thereby producing a progeny of the domain. The frivolity of looks sometime matter and in this light, the book cover could have been more creative. Nonetheless, the book is definitely conceptualised well with the thought provoking creation. The book is recommended for those who wish to read self help which especially deals with the darkness of our emotions.

BOOK NAME: The Void
AUTHOR: Rohit Sethi
GENRE: Self-help
PUBLISHER: Blue rose
FORMAT: E- book

According to me, a self-help book not only helps the reader, but it is also a means to help the one writing it. There are some voids in your life and no person living or no materialistic things can fill it. But, accepting yourself and the life you are living is the only way to live peacefully.

The author very beautifully explains how one negative emotion leads to another in a vicious circle, and how hitting the rock bottom is a true sign of your hard work and a harbinger of upcoming positivity.
He says, Do not try to do the right things, just don't do the wrong ones. Because, very often we have seen that in doing something right, we end messing it up.
The blank page at the end of every chapter is presented for the author's interaction with readers which compels us to think further and further about the higher purpose of our existence.
The last few pages are dedicated to some quotes of great philosophers, among which, my favourite is:
I THINK, THEREFORE I AM by Rène Descartes
A short read, with a simple language and inspiring mind

I love self-development books! well, that makes me a bit more critical when I am reading one as I tend to look for more new content that authors are not giving nowadays.
But this books I can say does have some fascinating content.
The moment I read the blurb I wanted to read it, though the title or the cover does not grasp attention, it just happened that I read the blurb and got interested in reading it.
It is a book that talks about loneliness, the difficult times, and many situations that we may face in our life.
It is a readable and easy read, it is also important for nonfiction to be relatable as if it is of no use to the reader then there is no sense in reading it.
The relatable content and the fascinating topic, plus useful information make me feel good about this book.
Well it is possible that you might have read something similar and you wish to skip some content but that is totally fine, as there were some parts in the book which made me feel bored so I just skipped that part, but in doing that you must know what you are skipping.
Overall, a book of relatable and problem-solving content.

I really love to read Self-help books. The Void by the author Rohit Sethi is a Self Help book. Many times we feel empty in our life. This book focusses on that emptiness. It is divided into different chapters. The author has discussed about how we can cope with this emptiness, learn to live with it, or fill it with long lasting solutions such as awareness, self-honesty, meditation and the importance of sweating.

This book explains beautifully what goes on inside the human soul. While reading this book, I was feeling so positive. It uplifted and motivated my soul. It changed my perspective towards life and gave a new meaning to it. This book has given me a ray of hope that every difficult situation can be overcome so we should not lose our faith. Really a great book by the author. I am looking forward for more Self-help books from the author.

At the end of the book, there are some great quotes by different people. My favourite among them is "Life must be understood backward. But it must be lived forward".

The Void is a self-help book written by Rohit Sethi which concentrates on topics like anger, frustration, finding happiness, need of spirituality in life, love, anxiety, finding your true self and the need of motivation or purpose in your life. Void means emptiness. The author through the eyes of the character Ranjit shares his outlook on the above topics.

All the topics are separated under different subheading and at the end of each chapter the author leaves a blank page for the readers to evaluate their own view points. By the end, their are some motivational quotes by some of the famous philosophers of all time. The chapters in this book are not lengthy so, no over stretching of topics. Every issues in this book is discussed briefly stressing only on the significance of the theme.

This book definitely has a positive spirit in it. And during this time of such distressing environment, this kind of book is much needed. I enjoyed the writing style and the whole format of this book. Overall it's a must read.

This book is a very unique self hell book and I quite enjoyed reading it. It deals with mental health in a very delicate and peaceful manner without thrusting the author's opinion on the reader which by means is an indication of a good book. After each chapter there are blank pages left for your opinion, so I suggest buy a paperback for this. The way Anger is shown in the book is very unique and user friendly( fear being the primary driver) especially with the honesty of the reader. There is a table of Projected Image and Truse self which helped me the most. The importance of having a purpose in life no matter what your age is, is the most enlightening part of the book. The book has famous quotes from scholars like Socrates and writers like Oscar Wilde too.
Written in a very lucid language this book is extremely accessible and this review is coming from someone who runs away the moment she sees the self help or non fiction aisle at a book store. So I definitely recommend you to check this book out.

The void, just as the title suggests , it talks about the void, the emptiness or the unfulfilled feeling that we feel.

Broken into chapters with deal with apt titles that address the same, the book gives a lot of information about how we should be aware and honest, the first step we need to move ahead. I also like the view where he addresses anger as fear in disguise and what we need to tackle the anger that we feel.

Also he strikes a chord when he says that it's not important to do the right things, just don't do the wrong ones. A profound view of seeing an emotion as a temporary feeling and not dwelling on a passing emotion.

As the book has a very casual narrative and not a preachy tone, it's easy to read, accept and analyse. The author has given a few pages after each chapter four us to ponder on the views and the ending consists of some great quotes by great philosophers .

A self help book that is an easy read and one that doesn't beat around the bush, just gives you the information for you to process!

This is one of the most relatable self help book I have ever read. I am not much into self help books but this one really made me feel like I took a good decision picking up the book.
Depression, anxiety and all these type of feelings are very much common in today's era. It's very difficult to cope with these emotions and one always needs a support during these times. Ones who don't get enough support tend to feel very lonely and end up being depressed. The best part of the book is that the author has included his own emotions and presented us with his experiences and discoveries. Though the chapters are small it left an impact on me. He has also talked about various addictions we may come across like drugs, alcohol and many more.
I would specially like to highlight the titles of each chapter and also the quotes written in the book which are awesome. The book must be read by more and more people as things like depression is becoming common in today's life.
I would like to say that go for it without even thinking twice. You won't be disappointed.

“The only thing more exhausting than being depressed is pretending that you’re not.”
I think this quote defines our society well and Rohit Sethi, challenged this thinking.
The author perfectly understands what it is like going through depression and how it feels to have anxiety attacks and panic attacks, in real. It didn’t seem made up and the experiences seemed very real.
I felt the helplessness that he felt and how it pushed him towards loneliness. It isn’t something that one can easily overcome.

The book has lessons that in real life, no one wants to share or talk about. People treat depression as a weakness and seldom take medications or treatments for it and in worse cases ignore it. I feel someone who is going through depression must read this book because it has almost all the right ways to tackle depression.
Talk about physical, emotional and spiritual, it has all of it. I like how the author has considered all the approaches and written the book. Shows how well researched he is.

The Void taught me a lot of things, but most importantly it taught me to love my body and take care of myself even when I am in the worst of times because everyone leaves, it’s only you who stays with you till the end. You need to take care of yourself.

I am very thankful to that. I have been through some very difficult times in life and there seem to be no solution to the problems in my life but then one of my friend sent this book to me and it definitely changed my perspective abut life.

I realised that God never gives you more than what you can handle or tolerate. Depression and anxiety are real and if you are in such a state you should reach out for help. This book became my support system and it changed my life in many ways. I am a better person now, physically and mentally. I got in touch with my spiritual self also through this book and that really calmed my mind. It wasn’t easy and it isn’t something that happens in a day or so, it takes time and you need to be patient with yourself, but the results are guaranteed.

Thank you for giving us these mantras of life.

Title: The Void

Category: Self Help

Author: Rohit Sethi

I am not someone who reads self-help book, but this one is a game changer. I always thought of self-help book as sad and unhelpful but every thought of mine changed the minute I picked up this book. It is inspiring and very raw. The truth unaltered, the way it should be. It is very rare when people actually share their live stories and teach us a lesson through that, and Rohit Sethi did that here. It was an experience to read this book.

This book focused mainly on loneliness, how much loneliness can eat a person on the inside. No one talks about mental health these days and actually no one has the time, but this book described everything in detail. What problems one is going through, how do they tackle from it and how can one overcome it in the right way?

It’s not like a regular self-help book, it is actually like talking to a friend, and them giving you a perfect solution.

'The Void' written by Rohit Sethi is a self-help book.
The author wrote this book by giving his own example.
The book talks about how to deal with your emotions, challenging situation, mental health, peace and remove negativity from your life.
What to do in order to deal with your emotions like: Be honest and aware with yourself
Practice humility and gratitude
Don't try to do the right things, just don't do the wrong ones and
Don't hold on to any emotion etc.
The book teaches you the importance of awareness, self-honesty, meditation and sweating.
The language is easy to understand.
The author very well explained each concept.
The tables and the blank page is given for writing your opinion are good.
At the end of the book, there are some quotes from different personalities.
The book is a short read, you can finish this book in a single sitting.
Highly recommend to everyone.

I honestly have never read any book from this genre. When my friend suggested this book to me I was kind of skeptical at first. However after reading this book my thoughts completely changed.
This book written by Rohit Sethi talks about his journey of self realisation. He talks about how he discovered himself and his passions. This book is a very short read and it took me a few hours to finish it. It talks about mental peace and happiness which is missing in majority of the population today. Each emotion is beautifully explored by the author in separate chapters.
This book also teaches us, that it is okay to be imperfect or it’s okay if you can’t face the tough challenges life throws at you. There were some exercises also to help the reader understand himself/herself better. Personally, I really enjoyed reading this book. If you are looking for a book to help you discover who you are or help you understand yourself better, then this book is for you.

The title itself gives away the gist of this book. As it says, “The Void” is one such book which talks about sensitive issues like depression, anxiety, performance pressure, and the greed to make it big in life, but when reality starts to sink in, a person feels all these emotions deeply which might impact his or her mental and spiritual well being.
This book by Author Rohit, through an example of the life choices of a person helps to give out a social message about how one can keep calm and stay composed even in the worst of times. How small victories lead a way to bigger ones and many such deep hidden truths of life. Which we actually tend to ignore when we’re in difficult situations.

I thoroughly enjoyed the book as it is based on self motivation and it also gave me the much needed drive during covid times. I’d recommend it to all readers out there!

The Void is a self-help and motivational book. It has helped me in some of my difficult times.
This is not just a book but a package. It talks about everything, from the creation of void in our lives to trying to fill that with external means, the definition of happiness, and how can one fill the void spiritually.

I mean this book has 15 chapters and every chapter is a big life lesson in my opinion. I loved it so much and it taught me things that I never had imagined.

I have never read a book so moving, and life changing, to be honest.
I personally loved the chapter where he talked about “Not trying to do the right thing but to do the wrong thing”, sounds interesting right? I was always this curious when I first read the title page and God, this book made me so happy.

I even suggested this book to some of my friends also.

The void by the Rohit Sethi is a motivational and self help book. The book is divided into various chapters. Every chapter is small in length powerful enough to leave an impact. The book has covered everything from 'On addiction and one's struggle to fill the void with drugs, alcohol and sex' to 'How spirituality can actually fill the void'.
