A second princess. Another key to the treasure. And a cruel king desperate to squelch the growing rebellion.
Raised in an isolated abbey, Lady Maribel desires nothing more than to become a nun and continue practicing her healing arts. She’s carefree and happy with her life…until a visitor comes to the abbey and reveals her true identity as one of the lost princesses.
When he was a young boy, Edmund Chambers helplessly watched King Ethelwulf murder his family. Edmund escaped and has lived in the abbey ever since, uniquely trained to work with wild animals. Secretly, he loves Maribel and desperately hopes she doesn’t complete her holy order vows.
When King Ethelwulf’s army arrives at the abbey to capture Maribel, she flees with Edmund across the desolate Highlands in an attempt to reach Adelaide’s rebel army. Edmund can no longer hide his love, but can Maribel give up her dreams of becoming a nun to love him in return?

Okay so wow. I wasn't sure if I would like this one as much as the first. I mean how could I? I loved the first. I wasn't sure if I would like Edmund and Maribel as much as I did Christopher and Adelaide which is always the danger of series like this. I thought this would be the slow story of the series that I would have to suffer through...
Yup I readily admit it. I WAS WRONG.
I loved this book a bajillion times more than the first OH MY GOSH WHERE DO I EVEN START WITH ALL OF THE LOVING????
THERE WAS A LABYRINTH WITH BOOBY TRAPS!!!!
Can we take a moment to freak out over that fact. Y'all are probably all aware of how much I adore labyrinths AND booby traps but if not allow me to take a second to say ASDFGHJKL
So this world is technically medieval, but Hedlund does add in some things that are slightly more on the fantasy side so... we have people able to speak the language of animals, giant spiders, A FLIPPING DRAGON (I mean I believe that dragons existed but STILL). AND THIS FANTASY LOVER WAS 100% ON BOARD WITH ALL OF THAT.
Okay so we have the Fera Augmen which is flipping cool and Edmund's relationship with his animals was amazing. Actually everything about Edmund was amazing he was strong and dedicated but in his own way. This kid was crazy smart and loyal. He was usually pretty taciturn but knew how to joke around and just... can I have my own Edmund I promise I would treat him better than Maribel did. (but can we please have a moment of silence for this brother trapped in the friend zone?)
Maribel was all right, I mostly enjoyed her but sometimes I wanted to slap her over the head. Edmund did need to learn how to say no to her every now and then XD
But boy did I ship them. For some reason best friends to lovers is one of my favorite tropes. Not gonna lie. And seeing people overcome the friendzone always makes me extremely happy XD
I did a thing again...
AND THE NEXT BOOK. THE NEXT BOOK. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! I HONESTLY DON'T KNOW HOW I AM GOING TO WAIT I NEED IT NOW. PLLLEEEEAAAASSSSEEEE
I apologize if this review makes absolutely zero sense. I stayed up WAY too late last night to finish it and I am basically running on caffeine and feels.
I was provided a ARC from the author, all opinions, however are my own.
"If we let worry control us, we shall never accomplish anything."
Maribel and her escort have plenty of reason to worry; their lives are in danger, their futures are in jeopardy, and they have embarked upon a journey that many would never attempt. . . . . but Edmund Chambers would risk anything, including his own life, to ensure Maribel's safety. After all, she is one of the lost princesses of Mercia, and he has secretly loved her since childhood. Maribel, on the other hand cherishes Edmund's friendship, but is determined to take her holy vows in order to become a nun. She's convinced that her abilities as a physician would never be socially acceptable any other way; but as their journey continues Maribel begins to wonder if her aspirations are worth losing her relationship with Edmund.
Facing death has a way of narrowing down one's choices, and in this lovely continuation of "The Lost Princesses" series, Maribel and Edmund both discover what true love really means; sacrificing the best of one's self, only to discover that it can reappear stronger than ever before, wrapped securely beside the heart of another and tightly fastened together within God's will.
This series keeps getting better! The author draws the reader in immediately and I felt like the characters really came to life. There is quite a bit of adventure in this one with hidden passages, caves, mazes, dangerous creatures, and as always the king's soldiers on their heels. Poor Edmund has quite the unrequited love for Maribel, and it was sweet to see her become aware of his deeper feelings and have her own awaken as well. She's a bit stubborn with her thinking that her only path is to be a healer and nothing else, but fortunately her sister the queen helps open her eyes and opportunities. Maribel is full of compassion for those she helps and she's easy to like, even when she is being a little frustrating ;) I felt satisfied with this story as a part of the whole, and eagerly anticipate the final book in the series!
(I received a complimentary copy of the book; all opinions in this review are my own)
I am loving this series!! This is another great piece of a growing story. I loved Edmund's animal connections and how they played a large part in the events. Edmund's devotion to Maribel is the sweetest. This book felt more fantasy like than the others, which wasn't my favorite, but that's just me. I can't wait to read the next story!!
Edmund was so sweet and so awesome!! Him being a Fera Agmen was such a cool touch! His love and devotion towards Maribel even when she didn't first receive it was so sweet and admirable. Him and Maribel were a beautiful couple and one of my new favorites!
This book had several surprising twists and turns as well as tense action! What I thought was going to be my least in the series turned out to be super amazing! It's a must read!!
Ooh, I really enjoyed this! Foremost was a delightful story and a wonderful continuation of The Lost Princesses medieval romance series. Friends to lovers is one of my absolute favorite romance tropes, and Foremost did it so well. It’s currently my favorite in the series.
This was such a lovely story about the journey and adventures Maribel, one of the secret lost princesses, embarks on along with her friend, Edmund, who’s secretly loved her since childhood and has vowed to protect her with his life. Along the way they encounter all sorts of obstacles as the king’s men pursue them—most notably their descent into a labyrinth full of booby traps and a dragon—experience a lot of growth, draw closer to God, and fall in love. It was both a thrilling adventure and an adorable romance.
I absolutely fell in love with Edmund. He was so sweet, loyal, patient, intelligent, and had the most fascinating ability to communicate with animals, which added a wonderful element to this delightful story. He was the perfect hero whose love and undying devotion for Maribel was so sweet, deep, and unconditional, even when he didn’t believe his feelings would ever be requited. I loved watching Maribel gradually realize not only his feelings but that her own for him were deeper than that of a friend.
I really liked Maribel as well. She had such a good heart, incredible compassion, and admirable aspirations to be a nun and healer. Although she stubbornly clung to that path as the only future she could possibly have for a bit too long, I did love her growth as she discovers not only other opportunities for herself, but that she’s able to find a path that allows all her aspirations to come true, including being with dear Edmund. I also loved the message that accompanied her growth—of taking our God-given gifts and using them the way He intended.
The romance was not only incredibly sweet, but the faith message was utterly beautiful and woven seamlessly throughout the story. I loved how both Maribel and Edmund learn that God will take their individual desires to accomplish His plan and work everything out in the wonderful way only He can; the plans we have for ourselves pale in comparison with the perfect plan that God has for our lives. So beautiful.
Overall, Foremost was a lovely and romantic medieval adventure, definitely one of my favorites by Jody Hedlund. I’m eager for the final installment in this fun series.
“God had indeed answered our prayers in a way we'd never been able to envision on our own.”
This was a good sequel. I normally don't read series because of repetition in style or characters or the second book is just filler and the last book is just fighting. This was the second sisters story and it was a fun one. I like a travel adventure where they are being chased. Not sure why that is a favorite troupe of mine it just is. This had a sweet feel to it with lots of good danger. You learn a little more about the treasure and you get a nice romance. I enjoyed it. I am pretty excited to start the next. I can already see what is coming and I am pretty happy about it. This is more of a young adult feel. My daughters are going to love it.
“Only when I’d let go of my selfish ambitions and been willing to embrace His greater plans, had I found true contentment.”
The Lost Princesses series just keeps getting better. And each princess’ journey is unique as are the princesses themselves and their heroes. The series should be read in order though. The prequel sets the stage well and each consecutive book spurs the overarching theme and plot forward with intricate details, beautifully crafted characters, and plenty of action and suspense. Jody Hedlund is a master storyteller and her gift in weaving YA medieval fairytales is a true gem to behold. If you enjoy medieval fairytales, you will absolutely love this book and the entire series!
This book focuses on Maribel, the older of the twins, who has been raised by nuns and aspires to be a nun-physician (healer). She’s stubborn like her older sister Constance Adalaide but is also impulsive, more tender-hearted, and compassionate. Edmund is an orphan of noble blood who has grown up with Maribel in the convent and has always loved her. Taught to be an animal trainer and a soldier, he’s the perfect guardian for Maribel with his intelligence, patience, and undying devotion but is a very different kind of hero, certainly different from Lance and Christopher whom we’ve met from the previous books. In the midst of trying to locate the clues to King Solomon’s treasure, they battle monsters, a confusing and deadly underground labyrinth, men sent by the evil king, and a terrible disease even as they battle their feelings for each other. It’s a fast-paced adventure ride a bit reminiscent of an Indiana Jones movie, filled with wonder, excitement, anticipation, innocent first love, and firmly grounded faith. I can’t wait to meet Emmeline in the next book, for it promises a very interesting twist to a main theme running throughout the series!
I received a copy of the book from the author and publisher and was under no obligation to post a positive review. All comments and opinions are solely my own.
Foremost is book two in Jody Hedlund's The Lost Princess series. This book centers on the oldest of the twin princesses, Maribel and her childhood friend and protector, Edmund. Each chapter is told in the first person of either Maribel or Edmund. Princess Maribel was raised by nuns in a convent hidden in a cave. There were three orphans who had lost their parents in king Ethelwulf's massacre of supporters of the former King. Maribel, Edmund and Charlotte. Maribel doesn't have any idea she is one of the lost princesses or that she has a twin. Then Sister Katherine pays an unannounced visit to the cave and tells Maribel her true identity. From that time on life isn't the same. Maribel and Edmund must leave the convent immediately. Wicked King Ethelwuff has sent his ruthless captain of the guards to find her and bring her back to Mercia to force her to marry his son. Maribel and Edmund escape the convent and go in search of clues to help them find King Solomon's hidden treasure. Will they be successful in their search for the treasures. Can they avoid the wicked king's knights and make it to Norland where Maribel's older sister Queen Constance Adelaide now lives? This story is action packed and filled with twist and turns and unpredictable situations. They must travel in the winter and the going isn't easy as they travel over snow and harsh weather conditions. There is physical attraction that grows between the two main characters as they flee from their pursuers. Though no sex is in the story there is kissing . If you have already read the prequel Always and the first book of the series Evermore, you will want to read Foremost. All readers of medieval Christian Fiction will enjoy this entire series. I highly recommend it to you. I downloaded a Kindle version ebook copy from Amazon. I was not asked to do a favorable review. All opinions shared here are my own.
'God had indeed answered our prayer in a way we'd never been able to envision on our own.'
This quote reminded me of Ephesians 3:20 because God is able to do more than we can even dare to dream of.
I am a Jody Hedlund fan and I absolutely love her medieval stories! I personally think this is her forte, too! She brings us book two in her Lost Princesses series, telling the tale of Maribel, one of the twin princesses who was spirited away by a loyal servant when the evil King Ethelwulf took over the castle and murdered her parents. Maribel has been hidden in a convent high in the mountains and has no idea of her identity. She was taught the healing arts from an old nun and she herself has every intention of taking the vows and tending the sick and injured. But the sudden appearance of the old Sister Katherine changes her life completely. Now, her dear friend Edmund must take her away to join her older sister to join forces to fight the evil king and help find her remaining twin.
I loved this very much! Hedlund tells a medieval tale so well that this reader was captivated and stayed up quite late to finish this book. I highly recommend not only this book but the series.
*My thanks to the author and publisher for a preview copy of this book. The opinions expressed here are entirely my own.
I was so excited to read this and I sure wasn't disappointed!! Too bad I couldn't give more stars than 5. This certainly does deserve it! Better than any young adult book I've read before! The action, characters and the plot oh my! I so enjoyed this book!! I stayed up most of the night reading this and it was so worth it!! Edmund and Maribel are just awesome! I hated to say goodbye to them. Here's a favorite quote "God has indeed answered our prayers in a way we can never imagine". Folks this os so very true!! God Will answer our prayers just maybe not as we'd like or right when we want Him to. But He does answer. Maribel was special and had a special talent. Edmund had told her to use her gift the way God had intended. I'm looking forward to the next one!! Emmaline still has a story. I'm ready for her too. These ladies can certainly surprise us! I won't writing a very long review but sometimes I can't help myself. I don't want to give anything away but y'all this book!! Now I'm going to have to add these to my shelf when my husband gets paid again. These are truly Jodys best work. My thanks to the author for a copy of this book. NO compensations were received and all opinions are my own.
Wow! Jody Hedlund has outdone herself with this one! Each book in this series just keeps getting better and better! Maribel was a very likable character and Edmund was a great hero. I loved them! I enjoyed all the adventure. This whole story was so unique! I didn’t want to stop reading! This is a book that you will want to read in one sitting if you can!
I was given a complimentary copy of this ebook from the author, but was not required to write a review. The thoughts and comments are my own.
A true GEM 💎! I am stinking loving this series. This second book I enjoyed even more than the first. Maribel wants to be a nun and is a healer (way cool). She is blind to the fact that Edmund, a childhood friend, has always loved her. I can’t remember the last book I read with that storyline, so I really enjoyed seeing her realize her deeper feelings for him. Edmund is a very heroic, sweet, & patient male lead... plus, who doesn’t love a man that can talk to animals?!😉
Also, this book has great action scenes! I’m someone who cares more about relational/romance in books, but this author makes even me, someone who normally could not care less, interested in the fight scenes and adventure of it all! I can’t wait to read the third book, this series is stellar.🔥
This was as I've come to expect from Jody Hedlund. I wanted to see where this story arc went, and that's saying something since I've been know to stop mid-series and just stop caring. Lol.
Safe, amazing H, friends-to-more romance, no OP drama whatsoever, and some action, this was a nice way to spend the day.
Maribel grew up in a convent, dreaming of taking her vows and using her skills as a healer to be a blessing to others. The news that she is the second of the lost princesses change everything and she and her faithful friend, Edmund are swept into a battle for their very lives and the fate of the kingdom. But will the growing feelings between her and Edmund mean giving up her calling as a healer?
Maribel is passionate about helping others with her medical skills, she has learned all she can at the convent, and has aided many with her skills. She feels strongly about her calling, and selflessly puts herself at risk in order to help others. I admired her love for others, even her enemies.
Edmund and Maribel were raised together by the nuns, orphaned when Ethelwulf took the throne. Edmund was trained by an Elite Guard, as well as a Fera Agmen who can communicate with animals. Edmund is a brave, selfless, and willing to die for Maribel. Over the years he has come to see her as more than a friend. I admired how he respected her ambitions even at the cost of his heart.
There is plenty of action, as well as good dialogue and interaction between the main characters. I liked how this book focuses more on their quest for Solomon's treasure, drawing them ever closer to regaining their kingdom. I thought it interesting how this installment in the series incorporated more fantasy elements like the marvelous and fearsome creatures encountered and Edmund's ability to communicate so clearly with animals. One of my favorite things was the chemistry between Maribel and Edmund, taunt with tension, filled with hope, and unconditional.
Overall, a stunning installment in Ms. Hedlund's latest series, it brings the princesses one step closer to reclaiming their father's throne. Maribel is strong willed, compassionate, and a strong leader in a more supporting sense than her sister, yet still unafraid to stand up for what is right. I can't wait to see what will happen next and how Emmeline's story will tie them all together!
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Wow, just wow. This book was so great. After reading Christopher and Adelaide’s story, I was so excited to read the next sister’s story. Maribel and Edmund’s adventure did not disappoint. Can I just say one thing to all the men out there? Learn to say no. Sometimes it is better to disappoint than risk the necks of those you love! Edmund still needed to learn that lesson. Like he seriously needs to work on it. Other than that, Edmund was super lovable. His way with all the animals made me jealous. I wish I could be a Fera Augmen like him! Maribel was a wonderful leading lady. Her want for adventure is totally understandable. But like I said, Edmund just needs to say no sometimes. The only thing I can say is that it seems very impossible for Maribel to want so much adventure but want to take her vows to become a nun at the same time. I was confused by this matter because once you take your vows you can not have any of that adventure. So her want for both seemed unreasonable. The plot…oh my…I can not wait for the next book! What is going to happen in the next and final story? I am so excited to see what happens. I don’t want to give away the plot, but I will say one last thing. You will love this book. So read it! You will not regret it. The cover is gorgeous. 5 stars to the cover artist. The background, the dress is all just so beautiful. As for the novel itself can you guess how many stars I’ll give it? Of course, 5 stars!
Oh, the adventure! Foremost is jam packed with it! There are gigantic spiders, a labyrinth filled with death traps and protected by a creature that reminded me a bit of an R.O.U.S. (Princess Bride shout out!), a mysterious map, and evil soldiers intent on capturing Maribel. Plus, there's a sweet, slow-burning romance between Princess Maribel and her best friend Edmund.
In addition to the adventure and romance, Foremost is also about finding and embracing purpose and learning to trust God when what He's asking seems impossible. As Maribel grapples with what her newly discovered royalty means for her plans of becoming a nun, Edmund contemplates a future of loving Maribel from afar. Neither has any idea how God will take their individual desires to accomplish His plan, and I loved seeing how everything worked out.
I've been enjoying the Lost Princesses series, and Foremost is my favorite installment so far! I can't wait to see what comes next (and it looks like it will involve a marriage of convenience, so I'm all in). This series is perfect for both teen readers and those who left their teen years behind long ago.
Disclosure of material connection: I received a complimentary copy of this novel. I was not required to write a positive review, and the opinions expressed are my own.
This epic tale of three hidden princesses (and the fellas who love them) continues with action, exploration, and fantastical creatures. Themes of seeking, introspection, and faith make Foremost in particular an excellent fit for the young adult audience (and nostalgic young-at-heart readers as well)!
Although the mama bear in me growled and fussed at the main characters for their failure to follow specific instructions, I’m well acquainted with the notoriously poor judgment of young people (from experience and observation). Rather than becoming annoyed with the hero and especially the heroine for this troublesome habit, I found myself sincerely blessing their hearts and cheering them on in their journey. Like many of us, they eventually learn and mature through their experiences.
Although I’m not usually a fan of fantasy, I enjoyed the inclusion of a few mythical creatures and found one character’s ability to communicate with animals to be a fascinating and entertaining concept. I am eagerly anticipating the conclusion of The Lost Princesses series and wholeheartedly rooting for the rightful heirs of Mercia!
I borrowed this title through the Kindle Unlimited program. The opinions expressed are my own.
Princess Maribel grew up in hiding in a convent, It is now time for her to learn of her identity and move towards her responsibility to help her sisters gain control of the throne. She carries one of the three keys needed to open the treasure that will help them succeed. Her journey north is difficult and filled with horror and desperation. Maribel wanted to become a nun and devote her life to being a healer. One dream she will have to give up and the other will come true. Which will it be? On to book three in the trilogy.
A wonderful second book in the Lost Princesses series! I enjoyed this story even more than the first book. Filled with adventure, drama, and sweet romance, this story kept me turning pages, eagerly awaiting what would happen next. I can't wait to read book 3!
Maribel's only memories are of life within the isolated abbey hidden away in the Highlands away from the eyes of all save those who call it home. She is anticipating the day when she can take her vows and become a nun. Her healing skills are a gift from God and only as a nun will she be allowed to treat those in need. She knows that she along with her two best friends Edmund and Colette were orphans of noble families that were slaughtered when King Ethelwulf invaded Mercia.
But Maribel's world is shaken when a visitor arrives declaring that she is one of the Lost Princesses of Mercia. Worse she is being hunted by King Ethelwulf's Elite Guard in an attempt to secure his hold upon Mercia forever. Maribel is determined to reunite with the sisters she never knew she had but she isn't willing to give up her desire to take her vows.
Time is against them and all too soon Maribel and her appointed protector Edmund are on the run from Ethelwulf's troops. Can the pair stay ahead of their enemy and make their way to Norland and the presence of Queen Adelaide Constance?
Maribel's protector Edmund Chambers has loved Maribel as long as he's known her though he knows she sees him as just a friend or perhaps a brother. And he is willing to do anything to keep her safe even if it costs him his life! And to get this Lost Princess away from the clutches of Ethelwulf he just might pay it.
Foremost is the second book in the Lost Princesses series and it is just as good if not better than the first book Evermore. Now you absolutely must read the prequel novella Always and Evermore before starting Foremost. The books must be read in order to fully enjoy the series and to understand what exactly is taking place. And seriously they will look great on your bookshelf lined up together.
Those familiar with Jody Hedlund's YA books will enjoy this latest offering that offers enough twists and teases to capture the reader's attention from cover to cover. And the ending gives just enough of a hint of what is to come that the reader will be anticipating book 3 which is releasing at the end of October 2019.
I was provided a complimentary copy of this book with no expectations but that I provide my honest opinion - all thoughts expressed are my own.
Jody Hedlund's Lost Princess series continues with the story of Maribel, who was raised in an isolated convent alongside a few other orphaned children. Never knowing she was the daughter of the late King Francis, Maribel has trained in the art of an apothecary and loves using herbs to heal others. Because it is acceptable for nuns to practice medicine, Maribel is almost counting down the days until she is old enough to take vows and fulfill the dreams of her heart.
Edmund grew up alongside Maribel, and while she views him as brother, he certainly sees her as more than a sister. He would never ask her to give up her desire to become a nun, and he aches at having to hide his feelings. A skillful Fera Agmen, Edmund can communicate with most animals and call on them for help in various circumstances.
When an old nun stumbles to the abbey and tells Maribel of her true identity, she also tasks Edmund with transporting the young princess to the nearby country of Norland to meet her elder sister, the Crown Princess Adelaide, whom we met in Evermore. Plans quickly go awry and Edmund and Maribel are forced to rely on each other as they face an array of foes, both two-legged, four-legged, and even eight-legged. (Note: People with arachnophobia may wish to avoid this title!)
One of the highlights of this book is Edmund's Fera Agmen skill. I enjoyed reading about his interaction with the various kinds of animals. He and Maribel also have very strong character journeys.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys fairy tales or medieval YA fiction. As long as they don't mind spiders. 😉
I received my copy of the book from the author. All opinions in this review are my own.
Raised in an isolated abbey, Lady Maribel desires nothing more than to become a nun and continue practicing her healing arts. She knows nothing outside her cloistered world but she has all the friends she needs in the nuns, their protector Wade, and her fellow orphans Edmund and Collette. Sure she feels trapped sometimes and longs for a little adventure, but she does intend to take her vows and settle into life as a nun.
Adventure finds her with the arrival of an unexpected visitor who reveals Maribel's true identity as one of the three lost princesses. With wicked King Ethelwulf's soldiers hunting her, Maribel must leave the abbey and travel to join her sister, Queen Adelaide Constance. Edmund goes with her as her protector, hoping and praying she won't discover that he loves her as far more than an adopted sister. He will not stand in the way of her dreams to become a nun and a healer, no matter what it costs him.
Of course, we all know how these kinds of stories go so it comes as no surprise that romance ensues in spite of Edmund's best efforts to keep a secret everyone but Maribel already knows. There's also plenty of adventure along the way, with attacks by giant spiders, travels through a deadly labyrinth, and perils from pursuit and pestilence.
This is the third book in new fairy tale series from Jody Hedlund. This one moves farther into fantasy territory than the first two, adding some lovely fairly tale elements that I really enjoyed. I was not a big fan of Maribel's character, but that was more a matter of personal preference. She's well-written and does have some interesting character development.
The tease at the end of “Foremost” that sets up the final book in this series has me eager to read “Hereafter.” I'm pretty sure it will be my favorite of the Lost Princess books.
My thanks to Northern Lights Press and Jody Hedlund for an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.
This is the second full-length novel in the Lost Princesses series. Due to the books building on each other, I highly recommend reading them in order, starting with the prequel novella for the most enjoyment.
Maribel is a unique princess, having had the opportunity in hiding to learn something she would likely have not been able to in the palace: medicine. She wants to continue to pursue her passion, but can see only one limited way to do so in her society, as a nun. I could relate to her struggles in this; often I lock into one particular method of accomplishing a goal and become blind to another way God may want to work in my life or in others.
Edmund is a truly heroic character, but I loved that he also wasn’t perfect. He has a bit of a temper and a desire for revenge that puts him in danger at times. However, this is overshadowed by his capacity to love without return, unselfishly and completely. Even before Maribel notices his devotion, it was beautiful to read.
This book struck me as the most intense in the series so far; perhaps that is because the series itself is further along, or maybe it’s simply that several of my own nightmares play out before me on the page. This installment had me gasping and drawing attention from my family as I jumped in my chair or squeaked in surprise. I was certainly engaged in the story!
I highly recommend this book for young adult readers, especially those who enjoy adventurous stories. I know my teen daughter can’t wait to read this series, but she also doesn’t know she’ll be getting her own copy for her birthday, so she’ll just have to wait. Exciting and fast-paced, this latest Hedlund novel should not be missed and I look forward to the final book’s upcoming release.
I received a review copy of this book from the author but was under no obligation to post a positive review. The opinions expressed are both honest and my own.
