For Michigan girl Morgan Delaney, moving to Arizona for a three-month job shouldn’t be that big a deal—except for one small detail. Her new boss happens to be Gabe, the older brother of her best friend since childhood. And while she’s sure that he still sees her as that pimply, flat-chested friend of his annoying little sister, she’s had a raging crush on him since the moment she first laid eyes on him. What could such a gorgeous, successful man like him possibly see in her now?
Seeing her again is like a dream come true…
Gabe Matthews should have felt like he had it all—a nice home, his own graphic design company, and the attention of beautiful women—but when Morgan walks back into his life after nine years, all he can seem to think about is her. She’s beautiful, whip-smart, and sweet—a lethal combination—but even if he wasn’t her boss, what hope for a relationship could they have with her heading back to Michigan in three months?
A romance like nothing they’ve dreamed…
Both know they must push aside their feelings, but while their heads have decided to keep things professional, their hearts might already be chasing the dream…
Chasing the Dream is the third volume of Sweet Escapes, a series of sexy, standalone vacation romances.
With each book Susan Coventry writes it is always better then the last one. She knows how to draw you in and keep you there. I have read and loved all of her books and always look forward to the next one.
Morgan was Gabe's sister's best friend and Morgan has had a crush on Gabe for as long as she can remember. Now she lives in Michigan and his family lives in Arizona. It has been awhile since they have seen each other and his sister, Maria, has talked Morgan into coming to Arizona to work temporarily for Gabe.
When Gabe and Morgan see each other after all this time, all their old feelings come flooding back. Seeing as they now work together they cannot do anything about it. He is her boss and it would not be appropriate. As time goes on it becomes harder and harder to hold their feelings in check. Now I cannot tell you anymore as I do not want to spoil it for you. You just have to read the book to find out if and how they get their happy ever after. I read this book in one sitting and really hated for it to end. I loved every minute of it!
What a great end to the Sweet Escapes series! I absolutely love Morgan and Gabe. I loved that they were indirect friends at first since Morgan's best friend Maria is Gabe's sister.
When Morgan arrived in Arizona to work for Gabe, I love that they both immediately felt the spark but they both were determined to ignore it. I love finally seeing them realize that they are perfect for each other and go forward to "Chasing the Dream".
I absolutely love all of Susan's books and this book and series was AMAZING! If you haven't read Susan, make sure you do. I love ALL of her books.
A good read. Friends to lovers type story. Unrequited love ❤️ come to pass. Characters are relatable and you fall in love with them cheering on their love and obstacles!
Sooooooo boring. Their behavior came across very high school. The phrase "We shouldn't " or "Its not a good idea " was repeated constantly. I could not feel any chemistry with Gabe and Morgan.
