Wow, what a fabulous new series from Jordan Ford. Definitely one of the best YA romance authors that hooks you and pulls at your heartstrings and plays with your emotions

In this novel, we read and learn about the lives of 3 different people, Harper, Tane and Stacey. Each are all different but after a horrible incident they are connected by one thing, pain.
Some are emotional pain, while others are on grief and anger. Some wish to forget, while others wish to pretend

Reading the POV of these 3 people really opens up to me what they are thinking and experiencing. Some of what they were facing really hits close to home but it’s a journey that keeps you reading and wanting to find out what happens

Will they find the peace and happiness they all deserve? Or will it end terrible for all of them?
Find out what their future lies in this series, it has you hooked and you love every page and emotion that comes your way

Anxiously waiting to read what comes next for our beloved characters

Received a copy from the author herself, for an honest review, thank you!

A new YA contemporary romance series by a new to me author. It was one of those "Kindle Unlimited made me do it" kinda one-clicks. A good one, too. One of the best YA storylines I've read in quite a while. There's a ton of angst, but it is soothed some by really funny and witty banter. If you're looking for sizzling and steamy sex on display, you won't find it here. But you will find a lot of heated glances, hormones running amuck amid some hot make-out scenes and several fiery kisses that make dreams come true.

A group of diversified and wonderful characters who've all been hurt, abused and are lost in grief and sadness. I loved the dynamics between all the characters, not just the two focused mainly on in this first book. From the rugged and handsome hunks of the country to the sassy, adorable and pretty city girls, you'll get a solid introduction to the characters who will carry through to the end of this seven book series (the last book to be released in April 2020). Hopefully, the rest of the series will be on par with this first book. I'm definitely moving on to the next.

A heartbreaking tearjerker -- but triumphant.

I received a free copy from the author and voluntarily reviewed it

Wow what a read! This one was both heartwarming and heartbreaking. I've been excited about this series since the author first mentioned the concept and now that it's finally here I was so excited and also a bit afraid it wouldn't live up to the expectations in my head. But it did, it was such a great read.

City Girl vs Country Boy follows the story of a group of teenagers. It's quite the unique set-up. There are three families and when the parents of two of those families die all the kids end up at the same place, at the house of the only parent of those families that still lives, Beck. Beck has had his own troubles and is already taking care of Tane (not his biological son) and now has Harper and her two siblings from one of those families and Stacey and her twin Bianca from the other family to take care of too. This book has the point of views of Harper, Tane and Stacey. Harper and Tane are each others love interests and then there's Stacey's point of view too, so you basically have a point of view of each of those three families. I really liked the multiple point of views.

This book was quite the emotional ride and quite sad at times, but there's also this hopefully tone and I want to see all these character get a good life after all they've been gone through. Their lives all get uprooted. And they're all trying to deal with that and somehow continue with their life and find a new place. It's sad to have these 5 teens who all lost their parents. And then Tane who lives with Beck and now suddenly has to get used to 5 orphaned girls living there too, one of which he's attracted to.

I liked reading about all of the characters, while we only get the point of view of three of them, we see quite a bit of the others too. They all have their own personality and was easy to remember who was who. They don't always make the best decisions, but it all felt very realistic with how they all struggle.

At times this book doesn't really feel like a romance yet, although the set-up for Harper and Tane's romance takes place, I don't think it fully blossoms until later in the series. I do like the set-up for their romance, the mutual attraction they have and with the inconvenient timing and Harper having a plan it takes a while for them to even acknowledge the attraction. There is some flirting and some sweet scenes later in the book. They do seem good for each other and I am curious to see how things will develop.

Harper has to take care of her younger siblings, I liked how she took care of them and genuinely seem to care, but it also felt very much like a way for her not to deal or think about what happened by staying busy. She has all these burdens on her shoulders now and she's struggling and then late at the book when she finally does show some cracks and Tane is there for her, that was great. She also struggles with the plans she made and how she wants to stick with them, but at the same time everything is different now. And the scene at the end where Beck has this talk with all of them, almost had me in tears. It's so sad to have all these regrets and all these families torn apart.

And while there is quite a bit of sadness and struggles, that's not all that the books about. It was quite the addictive read. I wanted to read more about these characters, see how they were doing and how they were dealing. And also how they're making a new home here. This book also shows very strongly how different people deal in different ways with grief. From Willow who turned mute, Oscar who got lost in his computer. Stacey who acted like nothing was wrong, Bianca who struggled and then Harper who tried to keep it all together. And even Beck who tries to be strong for them all and he seemed like a great parent, but he also wasn't perfect, which made him more realistic. And he had lost two of his best friends. Tane has his own struggles with his mom leaving and he isn't sure how to handle their relationship now.

One of the things I dislike was the focus on the temporary nature of the whole thing, for some reason those things always trouble me a bit. I wish Harper and her siblings would stay at the house with Beck instead of being set on going back to their home and for a long while I wasn't sure what would actually happen. That tension or uncertainty made me feel uneasy a bit as I didn't want her to leave, but in the end I liked how things ended up at the end of this book and in a way that made sense for the characters.

I loved the farm setting and the New Zealand setting. There is something quite idyllic about the farm and how the author brings it alive with all these descriptions. It seemed like a wonderful place. I haven't read many books set in New Zealand yet, so it was fun to have this book take place there. Although most of the book takes place at the farm, there were still these little things that made the New Zealand setting be felt too.

To summarize: This book was sad and hopefully, heartbreaking and heartwarming. I had a great time reading it and I just wanted to keep reading and see how the characters were doing. The three different point of views really worked here. It was fun to have the romance between between Harper and Tane and then Stacey's point of view which showed more of that family and how she was dealing. It almost doesn't quite feel like a romance yet as this is very much the set-up still, but I liked the few sweet scenes between Tane and Harper, they seemed like a good match for one another. Stacey also has a bit of her own romance going on. I liked following these characters and felt so bad for how their lives changes and seeing how they dealt with the grief. I did like seeing them slowly find a bit of their place here. They are all interesting characters to read about and I liked how we got a good feel for all of them, even the ones whose point of view we don't get. The farm made for a great setting and it sounded like a great place. I also liked that the book takes place at new Zealand. All in all this was an awesome start of this new series and I am looking forward to see how things develop over the course of the series.

**Read for Jordan Ford's Summer Reading Challenge 2020. Prompt 12. A Melissa Pearl or Jordan Ford novel**

Twins Stacey and Bianca have just lost their parents in a car accident while on holiday with their best friends, as good as family. The same accident that took Harper, Willow and Oscar's parents. All these 5 have now is each other, their appointed guardian Beck, and his son Tane. (miss me with the "he's not his biological or adopted son" stuff)

- set in New Zealand
- recently orphaned siblings from 2 different families
- parents were all friends, but actually Found Family friends
- city kids meet countryside
- twin sisters*
- there's some diversity
- comes with a "kiwi dictionary" with words/expressions the reader may not know
- 7 people in a country house
- SAVE WATER
- selective mutism
- family drama
- dealing with grief
- lots of angst
- slow burn
- Beck is a sad teddy bear who only looks gruff
- some descriptions of poc's skin used food words, and one's nickname is Tim-Tam which left me uncomfortable, no matter if you tell me the character herself isn't offended

*(I may start putting these sorts of things in reviews to help with reading prompts, because they would certainly have helped me)

This series is going to be a winner for me, the first one had me glued to my kindle. A tragedy changed the lives of these young teens, would it hold them together or tear them apart? Harper had Uni plans, life plans not mothering plans yet. Will she find love instead, her heart is already broken? I was holding back the tears reading this book. A fantastic read, can't wait for the rest of the series.

City Girl vs Country Boy is the first book in the Forever Love series, and we start with tragedy. Harper speaks to her mum only half an hour or so before they have a head-on collision that changes the lives of so many.

Written mainly from Harper and Tane's point of view, but also with some from Stacey, this book was a delight to read, whilst also being very emotional. Harper is trying so hard to hold it together for everyone else and yet is in desperate need herself. Tane can see the struggles she is having and tries to help out in whatever way he can.

As for Stacey and Bianca, I can't wait for their book(s). I have no idea if they will be intertwined or separate, but either way... Stacey is dealing with her loss in the only way she knows how, the same as Bianca. Unfortunately, this is in two very different ways, and so their love for each other gets lost in the mix. I really hope they sort it out, and I want Stacey to be happy. I just can't see it happening without some painful self-realisations. As for Bianca, she deserves someone who puts her first, and hopefully, we've got a hint over just who that might be.

Excellently written as expected, with no editing or grammatical errors that disrupted my reading. This was a gripping book that will definitely leave you wanting more. Highly recommended by me.

* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. *

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC and I am so happy to be one of the first to read this amazing new YA series. It was emotional from the get go and I was already grabbing for the tissues by the end of the first chapter. The realism was so honest and brutal and you felt like you were living the tragic loss along with these orphaned teenagers.

This was so much more than a country boy meets city girl teen romance. It's the first in a new series that sets the scene for what's to come. There are various POV chapters from both Harper and Tane, who are clearly attracted to one another, however their romance is not at the forefront as they are trying to deal with the lifestyle change that had been thrust upon them. At the core of this story is the true bonds of friendship and love.

I can't wait to see where this series goes, I have already become attached to these characters and am so invested to see where their new journey takes them.

*I have received this book in exchange for an honest review!*

Wow, the feels. This book was so full of so many feelings that they assaulted my senses. I don't even know how to compute. I don't ever want to find myself into this kind of situation, it would totally break me.
It was beautifully written from 3POVs and they completed each other so well that it took nothing away from the story, it actually added so many angles.
I can't divulge much because I don't want to spoil things for you but prepare yourself for quite a ride.
I can't wait for the next book in the series and see where things will go from here. This didn't end in a cliffhanger per se but it left me wanting more. The curiosity is amplified because I have formed attachments with these amazing characters and now their faith matters to me.
Thank you for this book although it was a tough read.

Tragedy mars their beginning but this land, it heals. Harper believes in the power of a plan. Her plan is to go to uni with her best friends, study business, and enjoy her life. But a horrible car accident leaves her, her siblings, and her pseudo-cousins orphaned. Their parents' best friend is assigned guardianship over the entire lot of them and they all head to his rural cattle farm. There Beck and his stepson Tane do their best to welcome and comfort the grieving kids. Beck and Tane both came to the farm as young, angry boys. They understand the power of this land. Tane is attracted to the city girl and admires her strength and grace. He wants nothing more than to help her through her pain. As Harper struggles with her life's changes, the responsibility she now has for her younger sister and brother, she grows closer to the strong, steady Tane. But she's a city girl and uni is in her future; her plans do not include a country boy. Sometimes, though, life interferes with our plans.

I have always enjoyed Jordan Ford. Her characters are always likable and relatable. Her books are easy to fall into and while you may shed a few tears, you know that there's a happy ending coming. I believe this series signals a new maturity with her writing. The emotions provoked in this book were powerful and all-consuming at times. This book captured me in a way that her other books haven't (as enjoyable as they are). These characters face a real-life tragedy. Their worst fears are realized and they don't always respond in the best ways. They lash out, they act selfishly, they search for means to escape the pain, they let fear rule them. They are 100% authentic. I couldn't have loved them more than I did. This was an emotional smorgasbord. I was heartbroken and hopeful, frustrated and understanding. Harper and Tane are wonderful. They belong together. I don't think we have met the best Stacey yet and I think I will love Bianca when we really get time with her. Above all, I fell in love with Beck. He's a man of few words nursing his own broken heart, but even though his heart may have jagged edges, it is gold. He's wise in the ways that matter.

Finally, the last character that needs to be discussed is the land of NZ. The land must hold a power over its people. Its native beauty, its rawness are commanding. This land has a way of soothing broken souls, building spirits. It seems ot absorb pain and anger and bring peace. This particular farm, this antiquated house now housing a fragile group of people has withstood tragedy before. I see this house becoming their home. They have lost so much; their lives, their planned futures, their loved ones. Here they will find themselves. They will discover a new future. They will make a new family and possibly find a forever love. I can't wait for more.

I really enjoyed this story! It is very well written and drew me in from beginning to end. These characters really grab you by the heartstrings early on and still have a hold on mine. This book is not complete. We follow multiple characters and the story does not end on a cliffhanger exactly, but not everything is resolved. Where we are left off was at the end of a stage, with a new set of circumstances upcoming that everyone will have to deal with. It was a good stopping place, even if all I wanted was more and to see what happens next. This story deals with heartbreak and grieving for loved ones. I thought that this story handled the topic very well and it definitely touched my heart. These kids have lost their parents and have to find a way to move forward and through it. I really liked getting to follow the different characters and the details that we got in this story. I can't wait for the next book and am super excited for this series. Once I started reading it, I did not want to put it down and was not ready for it to end (even though I understood the stopping place).
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
I listened to the audio book for the second read and absolutely loved it! The narrator did a fantastic job with all of the characters and emotions in this story! The characters sound different from each other which really brings their personalities to life. I loved getting to hear the accent and the pronunciation that they would actually use. It was a really awesome addition to the book.

Harper is a city girl, she has a plan and she is sticking to it, and at eighteen years old she believes she has it all figured out. Her parents are on vacation when a tragic accident takes their lives and the lives of her parents closest friends. Harper, her siblings, Willow and Oscar, as well as their "cousins", Stacey and Bianca are suddenly orphans. Beckett Connell, a man their father's called brother, is their guardian. They all remember him from when they were much younger, so Uncle Beck is not a stranger to them, but he lives on a farm far from the city where they grew up. While Beck has a large home, these city kids will have to make some adjustments to living on a farm in the middle of nowhere, and to Tane, a young man Beck considers his son.

Harper and Tane are quickly attracted to each other, but Harper has a plan and se is determined to stay the course with no deviations . While Tane is slightly younger than Harper, he is very mature for his age and he will realize that he will have to let Harper set the pace of their relationship. These are all beautifully well written, compelling, and unique characters that will have you crying with them over their loss, but will also give you some laughs. This book begins with a tragedy, and follows the lives of all of the people that are affected by a senseless accident. Laughter and tears, it has a little romance, I think it is probably very accurate narration of the reactions of the youngsters to their loss, and their new lives. Fantastic book, I loved it!

I received an ARC for a honest review. I have to say that Jordan Ford is one of my favorite authors and her books always get me a warm and hearty vibe. So City girl vs Country boy is set in New Zeland so some of the words were new to me specially because my native language isn’t English. But as always her stories are so well written that I literally devoured this. In this first book of this series we meet three families tied by loving laces that comes from the past. You read from three POW Harper, Tane and Stacey. The story starts with a terrible situation that impacts significantly in this three families and takes 5 kids to a life changing scenario.
So after this overwhelming tragedy Beck finds himself with not only one teenager under his roof but 5 more with all the chaos that this new settlement brings to his life. You have hilarious situations specially when Harper realizes she isn’t in the city anymore. The quarrels are very amusing and certainly reflects reality. This books is the perfect preface to this series so you can meet this characters and the way they face their lives after the disaster that changed their fates.
This is a beautiful story with characters so well depicted and such a lovely view of a devastating situation that brings five kids to a safe haven. This is the perfect beginning to this new Jordan Ford’s series that I strongly recommend to read.

description

City Girl vs Country Boy is the first installment in Jordan Ford's brand new series, Forever Love and this phenomenally talented author delivers an emotionally captivating tale that will pull on all of your heartstrings. Trust me when I tell you that tissues are a MUST while reading this story...seriously keep a box or two close by.

This story was beautifully heartbreaking and gave a sense of hope that things would get better as time went on. Harper and Tane were an adorable couple and I adored the sweet moments they shared with one another. These two seemed like a match and I really enjoyed the slow build up towards their relationship, even if the chemistry between them was unmistakable. Their story might be a little light on the romance, but it was the perfect introduction into this new series that teaches us somethings, like looking back at the good memories and forgetting the pain surrounding loss.

I am definitely looking forward to getting my hands on the next book in the Forever Love series. I have no doubt that Broken Girl vs. Fix-It Boy will only add to my excitement for this series!

Jordan always writes such great books. This one is full of emotion. Right off the bat you are hit with a very tragic moment. From there you are taken on a journey that will lead you on a path of adventure, heart ache and dealing with losing the people you love the most. Harper is the oldest in the group she is the one that deals with everything and tries the hardest to make everything work. She has her sister Willow and brother Ozzy who both aren't handling things well at all. Then there is Stacey and Bianca who are twins. These two end up fighting and losing each other but can Uncle Beck who they all end up living with save them all? This was a well written enjoyable storyline of loss, surviving and family. I loved it from beginning to end and cant wait to read the next one in the series. My favorite character would have to be Harper. No matter how hard she tries to stick to the plan she has something ends up derailing it. Then Tran walks into her life and changes things even more. But will it be for the better? She is a strong person who takes on everyone else grief so she doesn't have to deal with her own. She is strong and stubborn. Just a character you can easily enjoy reading about. I feel that this is going to be a great series.

I was privileged enough to receive an advanced reader copy of this book from the author for a voluntary and honest review.
You know that elusive book hangover we all long for? Jordan delivers that and so much more with City Girl vs Country Boy.
City Girl vs Country Boy consumed me from the very first chapter and it did not let me go until I finished the last page. The characters were brilliant, and the plot created a brilliant story. The well written story line and the well developed characters hooked me from the very first page! The only problem i had were all the native NZ terms. (And that is probably because I'm in the US.) I did not understand them and that took away some of the enjoyment of reading this story. Otherwise a good beginning to a new series.

I really liked the story. Wouldn't say that it's my favorite work by Jordan, but its a good read. I found that the development of the story was a little slow. And I felt that a lot of details were missing, but since there's another book coming up, I'm hoping those details will be explained in it.
I liked most of the characters, and didn't like Stacey much, although at the end I started liking her a bit more. I didn't like her crush, I feel like something is going on with this dude.
Overall, I recommend this book. It's a light read for a cozy, lazy weekend.
Can't wait for what's going to happen in the next book.

A terrible accident. Five kids without family. Life will never be the same. A pact of forever love will be the answer. Beck, lost his wife and twins and in his grief he also lost his two best friends. But now he has to face the pact they made as a teen and take care of their families and Tane, his step son. An amazing story about live, love not matter what and forgiveness. You will laugh, cry and feel all the raw emotions the characters go trough and will beg Jordan Ford to write the second book ASAP.

Oh! Where do I even start...Let’s see-in this book, you have characters who have suffered tremendous loss that changes everything they have ever known. I have been not so patiently waiting for this book to release since the author first started talking about it and now the time has come where I can share it with you.

When tragedy strikes and three families become one, some major changes take place. After losing their parents in a car crash Harper and her two siblings along with Stacey and her twin Bianca end up going to live with their “uncle” Beck and Tane, who is living with Beck since his mother’s indiscretions. Beck and the kids’ fathers where all best friends growing up and made a pact that if something ever happened to any one of them, the remaining family would take care of their children/family.

Everyone deals with grief differently, and in this story that holds true, as Harper’s sister becomes mute and her brother gets lost in the online world and develops anger issues. Stacey and Bianca, who used to be super close, let past mistakes come between them.

Beck, even though he is still dealing with his own trauma, does what any good person would do and takes the kids in and helps them through the difficult time as best as he can, which turns out to be really good for Harper’s brother. When things blow up with the kids, Beck takes all of them out to sit around a fire and finally tells them the story of how the guys all became friends and what happened in the past. He ends in telling them they are all welcome to stay with him for as long as they need and no one has to leave.

Harper, who is 18 and about to start college, has to make a tough choice of choosing between continuing to live with Beck and have help, or take her younger siblings back home to their house and become a single parent/college student.

It is told from Harper, Tane and Stacey’s pov. Where getting back to who they used to be and friendship is more of the forefront instead of a romance but you can feel the pull between Harper and Tane. I wouldn’t say it ends on a cliffhanger per-say, but the story is continued in book 2 Broken Girl vs Fix-it Boy which comes out in October.

The author informs you in the beginning that it is based in New Zealand, so some of the wording might be a little different than what you are used to but I have to tell you that I loved seeing a different part of the world.

I received this as an ARC for my honest and voluntary review.

Heartrending and unimaginable. Three best friends, a tragedy, distance, misunderstanding, and another tragedy. Three families within a close knit group of friends suffering the most heartbreaking experience ever that have to learn how to not only breathe through that, but adjust to a new way of life.

Beck never expected to not have the opportunity to fix things with his friends, and he definitely did not expect their faith in him to look after things when tragedy strikes again. After the loss of his family, Beck buries himself in running the farm with his step son when he hears the news of the loss of his best friends and "brothers". Soon after, he learns that he is still named the guardian of their children. For Harper and the rest of the kids, losing their parents at this stage of their lives is something that was never a possibility so when hit with the reality, their world is shattered. Forced to make a decision on either staying on the farm, moving back home alone, living with an estranged grandparent, going to a new school, staying together as a group with others that are more like distant family members - known but not dear, living together on a farm and what all that entails is just a little too much when they haven't gotten past accepting and grieving.

There is so much going on. All of the characters to get to know, the emotions that seesaw from anger, fear, grief, and confusion. Then there is Tane, Beck's stepson. Already dealing with his own issues, he not only needs to adjust to the changes on the farm but also help the others as needed. His attraction to Harper complicates things. This first story was so sad but hopeful. Losses such as these are always nearly impossible to fathom much less feel like you can survive, but having somewhere to go and someone to help lessens some of those hurts. And Beck needs this as much as they do and slowly starts to get there along with the kids. I cannot wait for the next book as things are just getting started and I can foresee quite a few issues still pending with this group.

>Book Review – City Girl vs. Country Boy
>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 1st in the Forever Love series and ends in a cliffhanger. This book has a lot of characters whose lives all intersect. The story sets up the continuing plot, so the romance aspect is slow to arrive. There is a lot of loss in this book. The characters have to learn how to survive their losses. Family is not only blood relations and this story hammers that fact home as the teens all have to look to Beck as more than just their guardian. Harper is one of the main characters in this story. She learns to let go of her rigid plans and not fight fate.
>Tane is the sweetest boy, almost too much so. He is super helpful and has an insight into what Harper needs. Their love story is G rated, but the chemistry is off the charts. Stacey ‘s character is hard to like. She is very self-centered and shallow at first. She really evolves by the end of the story, but I still had a bad taste in my mouth from her previous behavior. Her romance is more PG rated.
>I felt the way the loss of parents was portrayed was as realistic as it could be. The reactions of the younger kids, Oscar and Willow, seem to be true to the situation. I actual gave up speaking during a trauma in my life and could really relate to Willow. This book is appropriate for a young adult (17+) audience. I wish more was settled in the story, but all of the set-up was needed. I am giving this book 5 stars.

This is a sweet story that starts with a tragedy and really brings you to tears as everyone deals with what has happened. A young man who has had to learn how to grow up without his father, but with a father-figure, Beck. Tane works on a farm and is the typical "country boy", cows and all. But when all these girls land at the farm due to a horrible tragedy that struck them all, what will happen? Will he be able to cope with their snotty attitudes at times, or will he become completely unglued?

For me, this story really touched my heart and I loved every part of it. As the girls' journey goes on, taking care of things that only adults usually have to deal with, I followed them along and thought about what I would have done and felt if this would have happened to me. Would I have the same attitude as Bianca? As Stacey? Would I look at a boy like Tane in the same way as he is looking at me? Would I be able to handle knowing a man like Beck, who I haven't seen in years, is now responsible for me?

I enjoyed this story but I wasn’t expecting it to be such a tearjerker. I was crying even before the 5th chapter started.
I felt so bad for these kids and almost wasn’t expecting this to happen. I felt that there was almost to much description in this story and not enough dialogue. It seemed like I was skimming over paragraphs sometimes waiting for someone to talk or something to happen.
Becks is such a great guy to stand by these kids and take them under his wing. He’s also crazy considering how much of a load he has now but thankfully they are almost all adults and can take care of themselves.
I really liked Harper and Tane. I think I like Harper the most. I’m not really sure how I feel about Stacy and Bianca. I felt bad for Stacy though and another thing she had to go through. I like the chemistry between Harper and Tane and hope things will work out. I’m glad we get to see more of them in the second one and hopefully things work out better for the rest of the kids.
I’m wondering what’s going to happen with Stacy also and this new guy. They seemed to have fallen for each other a little fast and I feel like something is going to happen. I’m glad Harper decided to stay and I’m hoping Willow decides to talk more.

This is the beginning of another fantastic Jordan Ford's series.
When a traffic accident leaves Harper, Willow, Oscar, Stacey and Bianca orphaned, they are sent to live with Becket Connell, a man their fathers called brother, in the New Zealand countryside.
As they try to adjust to the new reality of their lives, Tane, who has decided to continue living with Beckett after his mother's betrayal, also needs to adapt to the new reality.
Harper wants to stick to her plans, but things don't go exactly as expected, while Stacey and Bianca need to work so their relationship doesn't collapse. Oscar must learn to deal with his frustrations, and Willow must learn to express herself again.
Over time they will adjust to their new life, but when it comes the time for Harper and her brothers leave for their old home, they will have a difficult decision to make.
I loved the story, the characters and everything they faced in their relationships and their personal pursuit. I'm anxious to know what will happen to these characters.
I highly recommend reading.

Jordan Ford is an amazing writer, who manages to create new, fresh characters with every series she writes. This story is based in the writer's home country of New Zealand, and it is refreshing to have such a lovely story told in our very own land.

I love Harper. She's a beautiful soul, dedicated to her family. So like her mother in wanting what is best for her siblings, and like her father in her dedication to her goals in life.

Tane, a country boy with his broken family, is a lovely guy, so empathetic, friendly, all round good guy, with his own heartache.

The attraction is clearly visible for all to see, but Harper has goals and plans and being with Tane would just complicate those, while Tane just wants to ease the burden and let her know that he is there for her, not matter what her goals and plans are.

There are tears of laughter in this book, but also tears for the tragedies that come too. A beautiful story of how a family isn't just those who you were born with, sometimes they are the friends around you too.

City Girl VS Country Boy is a ya contemporary romance set in New Zealand, told in multi pov and the first novel in this series ends with a sort of cliffy as the lovestory continues into book two. I love the writing style and how this innovative novel is scripted. The wording includes New Zealand lingo creating a realistic effect. The narrative is swirling with unexpected twists. Character's are compelling with complex personalities. A beautiful deep seeded novel that is exceptional with heart-rending moments. Absolutely love this new series.
Looking forward to reading the next novel in The Forever Love Series.

In the after math of the tragic death of their parents we find Stacey and Bianca
Twins on a family visit to NZ from their home in China. siblings Harper, Willow and Oscar thrust into the country life on family friend becks farm with beck and Tane. This book shows the immediate effect of death and how grief can affect people differently. How people cope is up to them however when you push people away it can have an even deeper impact. I 100% loved this book and after recently loosing my own father it was definitely a great way to help show me how other people grieve and that we are all different.

So good!

I cried. I laughed. All the feels. This book is the equalivant to season one of a teen drama and I can't wait for season two. Never a boring moment and now I'm so invested in these characters I will be racing through this series. I first discovered read The Boys of Summer series. Her book "Riptide" was amazing. I had to read more! I love Jordan Ford's books. I loved her Ryder Bay series and I know am going to love the Foverer Love series. City Girl vs Country Boy has amazing characters and their stories interwoven are amazing. I know if you like this book you'll love her Ryder Bay series!, and vice versa.
