Frontier by Chris Turner worked well overall and I was engaged with the plot overall. It had everything that I was looking for in a scifi novel, and the world was well done. I enjoyed how good everything worked together and that the characters were perfectly written. It was a great start to this series and I look forward to more.

Pioneer worlds & space rogues In typical Turner fashion, you never know where the story is heading and are pleasantly surprised where it ends up. The story builds, there is a quest to solve a century-old mystery culminating in the discovery of what could be alien tech. This is the first book in the series featuring the two main space mercs, Yul and Regers. The beginnings of their strained association before the mission to the Dim Zone.
It reads a little like a western but with phasers I'm die hard SciFi and this was fun. Authors please get them to stop mandatory titles and the like in these reviews let us write the review how we want you'll get more Honest feedback
