What a beautiful book and amazing story! Amy is a pharmacist and an adventurer who visits healers in the rainforests of the world in search of medicinal plants to help humanity. She visits the Amazon, New Guinea, the Congo, and Madagascar in search of healing plants. The Congo is quite the challenge with arrests and insatiable bees. Highly recommended!

Amy Greeson is a very talented writer whose true stories are very enjoyable to read.  Her insight into the cultures of indigenous villages reveals her sensitivity towards people of differing backgrounds.  Her book suggests that people should not remain silent and should instead speak up.  This book is a powerful example about the beauty of all living beings as well as every human being in the world.

The title and cover got me. Then I realized the subject was using indigenous knowledge for the development of medicines which is a huge interest of mine. What could go wrong? Well not much. It was just pretty boring. I feel like it was 50% complaints about travel logistics or third world bureaucracy. Meh.
