This book SHOULD BE IN EVERY BLACK/LATINO PERSON'S LIBRARY!!! I am usually not the type of person to sit through and read a book, but this one here kept my full attention. I kept reading and then stopping because I was working or getting sidetracked, but something kept telling me to bring the book wherever I go and read it. Shaneequewa is hilarious, compassionate, and you can tell that she is for the black community. Reading this book allowed me to readjust my eating habits, stop drinking, and research foods that I have never even heard of. There is a reason why the western diets and Europeans specifically target black people. Reading this book, it makes absolute sense as to why we attacked mentally, emotionally, and physically. Eating healthy IS expensive, but would you rather shell out over $100 to keep you looking young, mentally, emotionally, and physically sharp? Or would you rather shell out over $2000-5000 dollars on medical visits that the doctors tell you to take medicine to mask the issues and not get to the root of the problem? I am just starting this road, and I know it will be one of the hardest things I do, but once I do it, I know my life will change tremendously. I want to say thank you so much, Shaneequewa, for this book. Much love :)
