I really enjoyed this book, you do not need to have any experience with tarot to use it. Grab a deck and start to play! I followed along for just over a month as although I wanted to do it daily there were missed days. And it was always interesting to see what new insights the journal prompts and the card pulls gave me for those skipped days.
If you are a beginner or advanced oracle deck user it matters not, this is a great book for helping you dig deeper and get out of your own way!
Concise, straight forward, and utterly useful for an artist/writer with an interest in integrating Tarot more fully into their life while digging into the dark roots of their creativity. Thoroughly enjoyed going through this book.
Wonderful book, that did just what it said. Since reading it, I managed to start writing poems, a novella, I have started working on the covers for my series, found my cover artist, I started and finished a painting, in time for the event it was meant for, something I was proud enough of that I could gift it to the person I intended it for.
Mariëlle has this magic, she manages to phrase the questions in such a way that you pick up the cards that make you question yourself and your stars/cards/crystals or whatever it is you are using to find the answers, if you are willing to do the hard work.
I am grateful for such a small book that packs such a powerful punch.
I already had this book and was part way through it when Sacha Black had Marielle on her podcast.
I find tarot interesting - not magic - it is often a way to get at things you know but do not want to see, if that makes sense. You ALWAYS filter things through your own blinkers.
As usual, books by Mariëlle are very powerful tools to shatter any misconceptions you may have held onto. I took longer than a month to finish this challenge, but the results are astounding. Somewhere around 2/3 of the book, something broke free, and I started working again at my manuscript, freer than ever, words flowing, my vision clear on where I want to go.
I cannot recommend Mariëlle's tarot books enough, and this book in particular.
