So much for the American Dream. After twenty years of marriage, successful careers, and two teenage boys, Angie and Mac's relationship dissolves into disappointment and resentment. Overworked and underappreciated, the toll of their problems fizzles their dream of happily ever after.
Smacked in the face with failure, Steve "Mac" MacKey refuses to give up so easily, and strategizes how to win back his wife. So a plan to confront her by leveraging the boys backfires on him. In the most wonderfully unexpected way.
Angie's misery in marriage is topped only by her misery without Mac. When she confronts Mac in his office, she learns just how fine that line is between lust and anger. And when she thought her husband couldn't care any less about her, he sparked a new fire inside her she didn't know existed . . . that felt so damn good.
Sex may not solve everything, and it's a far cry from making any real changes, or fixing her emotional rollercoaster. Can they last that ride long enough to save their marriage, or are their rifts and broken promises too deep to cross?
There are massive issues here. 1. H claims he loved his wife SO much and knows her body inside and out and yet didn’t realise that she has been faking it for a good part of their marriage? 2. He has dismissed the idea of counselling over and over with blatant disrespect. 3. Now comes the cheating. He has been a “travelling salesman” for almost 20 years, has had his shares of drunken nights in bar, has seen women’s cleavage, no urge to cheat but the moment he’s separated the first woman to flash her cleavage at him has his “anaconda” twitching in his pant SO MUCH so that he has a public semi-sex with her? Within couple of days of the separation? Yes, it is after the divorce is served but also after he boldly tells his lawyer that there won’t be a divorce if he has anything to do with it? And oh it’s just basic biology? How do you think our vaginas are build to react to hot guys? As the wife has pointed out SHE did NOT almost cheat during the separation. A separation caused solely by him. Yes, two of them had issues. But SHE addressed hers. He DIDN’T. He was planning reconciliation, she WASN’T. 4. On top of that this “wonderful” author has the H’s inner monologue, on how he’d have taken back the h if she cheated so that she never remembered who she cheated on with indicating that the h should do the same. *cue gagging* really? It’s MY job to make sure my unfaithful husband doesn’t cheat on top of doing everything else? Yeah nah, pass. I’d rather not keep that prize.
Also, let me make clear. I don’t call it “almost cheating”. Public make out sessions almost leading to having sex in semi public constitute as cheating. The kiss constitute as cheating. Anyone blaming h for not forgiving the zero immediately, good to know you have so low expectations of your own spouses where fidelity is concerned. HE wanted her back. NOT HER. HE had something to prove. NOT her. So the moment divorce was uttered and his going and kissing OW speaks VOLUMES which you are unable to understand. It tells me and the h that he is a cheater just waiting for the opportunity. And she wanted a divorce so it makes it ok? Great. Then why is he asking for a chance? It’s laughable how she’s his soulmate yet he has no problem kissing back the OW and somehow h is the bitch for not forgiving him immediately? Amazing how people’s priorities are all different these days. Wow. I am pissed at the h that she takes this piece of shit back at all.

This was my first book by Mia London and I truly enjoyed this romantic and erotic story about Mac and Angie, a married couple struggling to breathe life into a relationship that's crumbling. While giving up might be easier, both of them want to save their marriage.
What I loved about this story is how realistic it was. Relationships take work but the author balances this reality with lighter, tender and sexy moments.
This one’s a little close to real life. The wife admits that she loves him but doesn’t always like him. When she’s had enough of him taking her for granted she wants a divorce. He’s completely blindsided by this and wants her back.
Cheating is an almost. Femme fatale picks him up in a bar, he’s borderline drunk and stops things before they actually do it in her car, lots of guilt but no physical sex.

I absolutely loved reading this book. It was so real world and became addictive. Reading about what Angie and Mac went through in their relationship was hard at times but so real life that I couldn't put it down. I am enjoying reading this authors books and she is rapidly becoming one of my favorite authors. This story had its heartbreaking moments but also its hot moments, you will have to read this to see what I mean. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.

I just loved this book my main reason being, this could have easily been a true story in fact this sinario is so true to life. Mac and Angie could be the people living next door. With its highs and lows you wont be dissapointed. It was a treat to read a story from this age group. A well written book from Mia London, a book certainly worth a read. I was given this ARC to read for an honest and unbiased review.
I'm new to this author and I will be reading her other novels. It was well written with characters who had depth and were relatable. I enjoyed this book so much I read it in one sitting.
After twenty years of marriage, is it possible to still feel the passion and the attraction that started it all?
Life has a way of separating couples as obstacles arise and daily responsibilities erode the intimacy and care they once used to give each other. It is easy to inadvertently switch priorities as each spouse is focusing on their career, the children and the unending bills to be paid. At the end of the day, exhaustion drives both to sleep and the intimate bond they once felt so strongly suffers.
Feeling neglected, Angie realises she must do something to change her life of unhappiness. Divorce sounds like the easy answer. Only those who have gone through it can really appreciate how hard it is to break up a marriage into which both of you have poured your efforts to succeed. Even if you do not love each other any more, separating and destroying the relationship still takes its toll.
Mac is bound and determined not to lose his wife. First of all, he must explore his feelings and reconstruct the last years of his marriage in his mind. Then, he must determine what went wrong and if there is anything he can do to save their relationship. And most of all, is it worth the extra effort?
I highly recommend this book to all of you who have been married for a while and find yourselves in Angie's predicament. Actually, those of you who have recently entered into a relationship would benefit from reading this book too. I know you hear this all the time... "marriage takes work and effort from both partners". Believe me when I say this is very true and one of the biggest reasons why so many marriages end in divorce.
I am voluntarily reviewing this book. Thanks to the author for sharing a copy with me.
I enjoyed this book. You dont often find this theme, where the couple has been together for a long time. And the make up sex was spot on! But for real, stop with the mons and juices in the book. ick!
With that said, I often feel the way Angie does/did in this book but what i had a hard time with was her blaming everything on Mac. He was also at fault too but it takes 2 to make a marriage work.
Wow, this book is more than just a story it so raw, truthful, honest, realistic it could have been written about any married couple. But this book was about the marriage and life of Angie and Mac and how their relationship is falling apart after 20 years together. Mia London has nailed this one out of the park with so many tender heart-wrenching moments but so many hot and sexy moments with true honesty.
Angie and Mac both have a professional and successful career, two teenage sons with busy lives they have been married for twenty years. Sounds like life is wonderful but no it not. This has been getting worse the fighting has increased and Angie is feeling that life is just mundane work-kids-house- work- kids etc.
When Angie lets something slip things get worse before she finally asks for a divorce. Mac is taken by surprise and shortly moves out of the family home.
Mac at first does not understand but after a few short weeks, he can see where they went wrong and his part in all the drama. Angie is still his wife and Mac will do anything to keep it that way.
This is a story of a couple that has let their marriage be taken for granted with a lack of communication and the feeling of resentment full themselves. Can they find there way back together all is this the final nail in this marriage?
I think many people need to read this book. It could be very beneficial to those who are having problems in a relationship, whether the relationship is 1 year or 30 years, it can help anyone. It is full of the little things that I believe many relationships forget about. Mac fucks up in the beginning. He forgets about his focus and commitment he made to the relationship to begin with. Mac is imperfect just like every other man. Although, he redeems himself when he does everything in his power to make things right. Angie has been taken advantage of for too long. She might have jumped the gun with the D word, but she has every right to feel the way she feels. No woman should be taken advantage of the way that she was. Although, she has a lot of forgiving to do if they plan to make it work.
Angie and Mac really should be living in bliss. Happily married, healthy children, fulfilling careers. But Angie has been far from satisfied or soem time. And Mac...well he's stressed too but when their life together begins to unravel he is not as ready to call time on their marriage as you might think.
Mac truly loves Angie. They suffer from a real lack of communication, both harbouring resentments and unfulfilled needs. Mac could so easily fall into the usual trappings of mid-life crisis but what I love about this book is that neither WANT to be apart, they just don't see a way of both getting what they want without compromising too much of what they see that THEY need.
Mac and Angie truly deserve to be happy and I'm so happy to have been on their tumultuous journey with them!
Mia London is a new author to me and Accidental Tryst is the first book I have read by her. It is a wonderful romance that offered a determined father fighting for his twenty years of marriage he took for granted. There is family, friends, forgiveness, and love as Mac and Angie try to learn how to reconnect their forever story. They are both loving characters along with all of side characters that are well written. Their attraction was strong and their chemistry generated lots of sparks. The storyline was engaging and fun but offers a solid amount of drama and emotional turmoil as this couple relationship evolves into more than they ever imagined. Can not wait to read more from this author.

I received a copy of the book for an honest review. Absolutely loved reading Mia London's approach to a marriage that could happen any and everywhere. It was absolutely real and raw to read Angie and Mac's story--a marriage that has gone stale. Each chapter---beginning with an amazing opening--brings you closer and closer inside a story that gives layers and emotions to each character. Truly a great read, and a wonderful HEA.
This was an eye opening and real read. Too often do I read HEAs without thinking about what happens 2-3 decades later. This book shows you what's happens when life takes over and you live on autopilot. The reason I gave it 3 stars is because it seemed way too neatly packaged for us.
Angie and Mac’s story is a must read!! It shows what can happen in a marriage if you both do not talk to each other and are there when the other person needs you to be. A very good story that I would say read I don't think you will be disappointed that you did. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Mac and Angie feel like their marriage was coming to an end. Mac did not want a divorce, he looked into what he can do. It was worth reading. Thank you for allowing me to review your book.

This book should come with a warning: do not read on airplanes. Not just for the hot bits (and oh boy, they are hot!) but also for the heart (see what I did there? ;-) A great story of second chance love.
The great plot was well written and the characters were so well developed that as I turned each page the chemistry between the characters kept me totally hooked until the very last page!

Angie, 44, is not willing to tolerate her husband ignoring her needs anymore and decides that she wants a divorce. A hard decision that is not sugarcoated in the book. She is distraught, and he is angry at her for kicking him out. I do enjoy after the HEA books that show that romance is more than just the wedding; it is also about the marriage falling apart years later and whether they manage to get it back better than before. As they navigate being "single" and figuring out how to handle custody, there is an "accidental tryst" that changes everything for both of them.
What I enjoyed the most was that by Angie speaking up for herself and no longer being willing to be the neglected wife who works all day and then has to take care of the kids and home too, she finally has had enough and demands more. She sets everything in motion and disarray, and I admire her for it. I liked the support she got from her friends.
Mac was one that took me a bit longer to warm up to as he had ignored her for a long time, being wrapped up in his job. He was clueless when it came to his work colleague, but he started to get it when Angie does the something out of the ordinary that sets off a chain of sexy events.
There were a couple of twists that could have been a bit more, but were effective. Still there was an HEA that worked. This is the first book that I have read by this author.
Note: I received a review copy, and this is my honest review. I enjoyed it enough to be interested in other books by this new-to-me author.
Intense and steamy The opening chapter reminds me of a James Bond movie. The first 10 minutes are so full of action that I need to catch my breath before the title screen and opening song appear. In Accidental Tryst, the first chapter starts with a bang (actually three of them), which sets up the problem the rest of the story slowly solves.
Angie and Mac are two married professionals who are raising a family together. Mac is just trying to juggle the demands of business traveling with the needs of raising two active teenage sons. Angie equates a level of physical intimacy as a measure of a successful marriage, and lately, she’s found more intimacy within the pages of her erotic stories.
Recently, Mac no longer travels for his job. Despite the fact he spends more time at home, he still doesn’t realize all Angie does to keep the family functioning. Angie is convinced he never will, and divorce is their only option; Mac isn’t buying it. While she tries to adapt to a life without him, he plots ways to reignite the sizzle they once craved.
Ms. London puts a titillating spin on a second chance romance. This story is engaging and frightening relatable. Accidental Tryst is a heart-wrenching, heart-pumping, and heart-warming story.
I really enjoyed reading this story, especially the second half. Both of the characters were mature in their 40s, married for a long time and probably taking each other for granted. He was pretty self absorbed, they both had careers and yet she did everything else around the house and with the kids. Their relationship is crumbling but he's in denial and needed a wake up call. You know that line from "Friends", " we were on a break" that's what came to mind when he had a drunken moment. I enjoyed more so from there after, he knew what he had to do and how to make it right. It wasn't without set backs though, she was hurt and it just was not ok. Plenty of high and low moments in this book, I really enjoyed it.
This was a super cute erotic romance, I found that it showed the perfect real life issues facing relationships all the while keeping a light romance feel.
This does have a trigger warning for infidelity in my opinion, so if this affects you please be aware.
Captivating, rocky marriage second chance romance story with lots of drama. Enjoyable well-developed characters. The well-written book kept my attention, I enjoyed reading. I have voluntarily chosen to read and review this book.
Well written. Some accidents are meant to be a wake up call while others are just what they are. He learned form it and made sure that she would not doubt him again. Good man.

Got to page 180 and dnf for now.Just not feeling it,them, their relationship.Storyline seems contrived and I feel nothing but annoyed. Could be me,moody reader that I am! 8\21 Re read and completed. Still felt a bit contrived, but somewhat appreciated. Remains 3 stars.
A Surprisingly good read. I didn't expect much going in but this couple left me pleasantly humming. The ending should have been much much better but otherwise it was all well done. It all developed organically, like nothing was forced, so it appealed to me. I have this itch though to let Angie know that he hadn't gone all the way. I didn't like what he did but it wasn't as bad as they made it to be. He was drunk and he had stopped; there was no true intention behind it. He stopped the OW many many times before something happened and then even at the peak he did manage to stop it. And boy am I glad for that. I think he's a good guy who made a mistake, plus they were separated. I guess I can forgive him.

Hey y'all! This story has been years in the making, and one that many can relate to. It's about a couple on the verge of a divorce. Married 18 years, together twenty, the fizzle dies between Angie and Mac. Angie feels taken for granted, and the two argue a lot. Finally, she doesn't think she can take anymore and blurts out that she wants a divorce. Well, it's not as easy as she thought it was going to be. In the style y'all have come to expect, it is laced with heat. Oh my! And you know, there is an HEA. Enjoy! Happy reading!
