What happens when the school’s quirkiest band geek starts a rock band with three of the hottest guys in varsity football royalty? Well, pretty soon, I’m not just “with” the band. I’m with the band. The whole band… What could possibly go wrong? You know, besides everything.
They’re panty-meltingly gorgeous, cocky, and three of the biggest stars on the varsity football team. I’m the dorkiest, tuba-playing music-geek this side of band camp. In a school full of rules and clichés, Anders Teller, Griffin Reeves, Carson Lafayette and I have nothing to do with each other.
Except, I’m about to have everything to do with them. With all of them.
They’re the last thing I expect when I sneak off campus after curfew to audition for an up-and-coming rock band. Neither is finding them mostly naked when I show up, or falling—yes, literally falling—into their arms…
Everyone says to keep clear of crazy-hot musicians. They say the same thing about totally beautiful, ridiculously tempting football jocks, too. So what’s a girl to do when she comes across a stupid-hot combination of both?
There’s three of them, and one of me. And before long, it’s not just the practice room that’s rocking and rolling…
One never-been-touched nerd, three huge, utterly tempting jocks, and three whispered words that make my toes curl: “we’re gonna share.”
As The Bard says, if music be the food of love, play on.
Well, something tells me we’re about to play all night.
Each of the Winchester Academy books are completely standalone stories, with no cliffhangers.
This mfmm romance is all about her - no m/m. Safe, no cheating, and a HEA guaranteed.
#1 bestselling contemporary romance author Madison Faye is the dirty alter ego of the very wholesome, very normal suburban housewife behind the stories. While she might be a wife, mom, and PTA organizer on the outside, there’s nothing but hot, steamy, and raunchy fantasies brewing right beneath the surface!
Tired of keeping them hidden inside or only having them come out in the bedroom, they’re all here in the form of some wickedly hot stories. Single-minded alpha hero, sinfully taboo relationships, and wildly over-the-top scenarios. If you love it extra dirty, extra hot, and extra naughty, this is the place for you! (Just don’t tell the other PTA members you saw her here…)
I love reading Madison books and this one was awesome!!!
3 hard football jocks who love to rock and roll and 1 band geek who merge together and take on battle of the bands!!

If you need quick romantic fixes with a hint of erotica with a setting of a high school then Madison Faye's Winchester Academy series is for you. If you thought that high schools only had a small amount of scandal, then Winchester Academy will blow your mind as this school is filled with scandals behind closed doors and everyone covers for everyone as they each have secrets worth protecting that they don't wish to have revealed. In Banned we meet Zara who is a music prodigy and a band geek. Her dreams though is performing in front of a crowd and winning the Battle of the Bands. However, in order to do that she needs to find a real band to play with - not an in-school music group as they don't get the recognition. The book starts with Zara sneaking to an audition only to learn the three guys in the band are also three of the Winchester Academy football stars - Anders, Carson, and Griffin. Embarrassed, Zara heads back to school but not before a quick stop in the music room where Anders catches her. Eventually Zara who was a virgin and a prude will have three guys all vying for her attention. Who will she pick or even better as it is the 21st century, who says she has to pick when she can have all three and start her own Reverse Harem? What will happen though when the band gets into the finals only to have it happening the same time as their football finals? Will they choose sport over music and leave Zara in the lurch or will they make it up to her last minute? Find out whether Zara will have her threesome a little bit longer or was her threesome a brief encounter and high school experience in Book #4 Banned by Madison Faye.
My absolute favorite Winchester book so far. Zara, Anders, Griff and Carson are absolutely amazing together and of course their sex is absolutely hot AF. Another amazing read, with amazing characters that everyone must read.
Book 4 of the Winchester Academy series. As of right now, this is my second-favorite book of the four I’ve read so far. (Broken being #1 for the moment.) I’m not really big about reversed harem themes because of the ridiculousness in the concept that more than one alpha male can get along with additional alpha males over the same female! Just not biologically possible because testosterone does that to the male brain no matter the species. (Don’t get me started on bull moose or rams!…) Three alpha males not related by blood (or from the same uterine rental) are able to do so, but Madison Faye does seem to make a plausible argument that between Carson, Griffin, and Anders, it’s possible because these three have been blood brothers since elementary boarding school. (I guess if you can survive there with your two best friends, anything is possible!) At least that excuse worked for me in this case of suspension of disbelief. Or maybe it’s because music can transcend a lot of hormonal barriers and social obstacles. Let’s not call it jock rock. It’s still rock and roll by most standards.
Zara is a geek. Plays first chair trumpet, lead guitar in jazz band, AND tuba in the marching pep band. (Gotta give that much to her. After all, I was flute AND concert tuba myself in school, so I know this is entirely possible as it takes as much wind to play a flute as it does to play a tuba!) But she also has a phenomenal voice with all that and has always wanted to be in a touring rock band as the lead guitarist and lyricist. (Oh! She does that, too! Now we’re getting close to the edge of unreality but not quite yet…) She’s managed to get an audition for a new band Chasing Glory, and she’s determined to be accepted… only to find out that the other three band members she’s auditioning in front of are the three high-ranking varsity jocks for Winchester Academy whom she’s had a crush on for a gazillion years!… Okay, only four, but it’s felt like a gazillion. But who on the team would ever even notice a bulky-rimmed eyeglasses-wearing band nerd like her?
Apparently, they do and have for about the same amount of time. And they want her badly… to join their band, for starters.
From that point on, it becomes more than just the music.
Length and pace: It’s a longish novella, I suppose. I only wished it could had been longer, but I’ll talk about that in the realism department coming up. The pace was “practical” as we say in the copy editors’ club house. It wasn’t too rushed towards the end where it’s mostly commonly done.
Characters: This has to be my second favorite reversed harem story. (My all-time favorite is The Dark Side series by Kristy Cunning. Prepare to have your mind blown.) Though Madison Faye does a little better job in character development here than in Brat, she still could had done better. Carson and Anders suffer from poor differentiation from each other whereas Griffin, being the giant that he is, can’t be mistaken, but it’s all height (and length), not other redeeming attributes, that make him stand out. We don’t even exactly know who has which c*ck that looks like what? (Well, you know what I mean.) At least they were sympathetic characters to know. As for Zara, I certainly was sympathetic towards her, especially how she doesn’t spend too much of her time “angsting” over whether or not she should have a nontraditional relationship with the guys, thus using up way too much time when she could be having fun with them. (At least Madison Faye saved us from that!) And she was willing to listen… to an adult, and she was quick to forgive (after that). You’d think the three guys would have been more orally agile and explained things in a quick manner for women to assess and determine their next move. (Speak up and quickly, guys! No tripping over your tongues, for gods’ sakes!)
World-creation: This time, we get wind of secret passageways, ritzy dorm rooms even more glamorous than what is to be expected in a trust-fund children’s academy, and wonderful, back-alley rock venues (plus bar) available for bands to play at. We also get a hint of storylines from books past and those yet-to-be-published, promising more naughtiness in our futures! We also learn more about special… say… understandings between faculty which makes me wonder who owes whom favors? (Wouldn’t you want to know!)
Continuity and editing: Strange word combos making you think that somewhere, somehow, something should had been deleted but didn’t. Even standing on my head, I couldn’t figure it out. Continued punctuation errors that would have earned me an F in English composition class. Continuity is still decent, considering the timelines of several books needing to be considered.
Realism: This is where I run into problems. I’ve read this book now twice in the last few days, and I still can’t get over my cringing nature over the realism of the situation these characters face. I will give Madison Faye for not falling for the usual template of the band being saved at the last possible moment, and the members walk off with the award and the recording contract. (How many movies can I say I have seen use this plot template?) Oh, I’m sure most writers would have allowed the three guys to sneak out of the football game that would have had them qualify, but Faye didn’t. Instead, she did allow realism to keep these guys from attending because that’s how water would have flowed. (That’s the theorem that in writing, realism is following the pathway of least resistance, the most possible direction of action to occur. No magic nor fairy godmother needed.) Not only did the guys had to play the game to win, they couldn’t even tell their ringer/lead singer that they weren’t showing for qualifying for a battle of the bands show. Well, if your band apparently abandons you, how would you react? (Would you believe their coach confiscated their cell phones? I probably wouldn’t have.) I would have seen most writers avoid this because this possibility would had been hell to writer your way out of. However, I felt Madison Faye took the right way out of this mess despite the fact it would had been the most unpopular choice for a writer to make. My problem was with the whole idea of the band. How do you write a story about a band? You can’t add the actual music to the text (though I’m working on something like this!), and most writers aren’t lyricists, either. So it’s like: Yackety yackety-yak. (The BAND plays here now.) Back to Yackety yakkety-yak. Far too much like “and now a miracle happens here” as part of a chemical reaction pathway on a chemistry class chalkboard. It just doesn’t make sense, nor does it exude any sense of truth and trust on behalf of the writer. In other words, we’re assuming she knows how to write a rock-and-roll novel without discussing much of the usual process and has done little to research that process so that we have a well-rounded picture. There isn’t that balance present, and that really bothered me.
But I did like this book. It made me fantasied about what it would be like for one girl and three guys to a national five-week tour in a tricked-out tour bus without any parentals as chaperones present! (That vehicle would smell like a sperm bank near Frat Row after a good night of playing, I’d think.) I would hope that the four of them would find a means to survive as I know what it’s like to travel the backroads in the archetypal RV in the late 1960s with a bratty brother. And as mentioned before, I must have liked it enough to have read it twice! (And isn’t the band name Chasing Glory a great name??)
Madison Faye keeps doing it and we love her for it. That insta hookup with a bit of taboo and a lot of durty durty going on. It's her style, it's what makes Madison Faye, Madison and one of my fav go-to authors.
We're at Winchester Academy again, a spectacular series the newest book to join the series Banned. Hmmmm. Now see we have the typical 'wallflower band girl' and three jocks, wait what? yeah that's right count them up.. Anders, Carson and Griffin.
Band practice will never be the same let me tell you and blowing a Tuba takes on a whole different thinking. *smiles* I love Madison's books they feed my addiction. This one I liked it just seemed to be missing something, *laughs* 3males and 1 female yes just something. I enjoyed each character for themselves and what they brought to the story. It was fun and entertaining. Again on of her quick easy reads. Enjoy
Banned is why I read Madison. I have to say though that since Madison has been banned from Amazon (for whatever reason), Madison is writing with her heart. This series is kick ass! Banned is a heart filled story about three boys who everyone loves for their football glory. But if these people only knew that they have rock in their heart also.
Zara is a band geek that knows how to work about every musical instrument she can get her hands on. When she shows up to be the newest singer for a band she can't believe the band is the three most prominent football players in Winchester.
Can the band geek and the football players get along long enough to win the big band contest?
Banned is a hot MMMF story that Madison brings to us! So worth the read.
This one didn’t work so much for me. I felt tired while reading it. lol I also felt that a little m/m/f/m action would’ve been better in this book! Way better. The sex scene I think would’ve been better.
Zara had to put in some work! To give everyone pleasure!!! lol Too much! That’s why I said I felt tired while reading it. It kinda felt like it went on forever! Too much taking turns. It just didn’t feel natural. Like everything should just flow.
It wasn’t a bad read! It was hot. But I needed more.
As for the story.... meh... it was a little out there.
I’m really looking forward to the next book in this series!!! It’s going to be good!
what leaves the author's books wanting, is that all the heroines are virgin, and too innocent. And the heroes are all prostitutes having sex with each other, while the heroine has to be a virgin. This book was more of a porn than a novel. the author's next book will give her the chance to evolve, if it is for H. Being a prostitute, it is good for Heróina not to be a virgin and not too innocent. come on this stereotype with virgin heroin and H. who is a prostitute, then he meets H. Suddenly he will change because of her. it makes everything superficial. leaves a lot to be desired, there are already several books by this author that I ended up jumping in the middle, I stopped reading. because it’s very repetitive.
Every book in this delicious series has been naughty and hot but, OMG, this one really took things to a whole new level. You could not help swooning over Anders, Griffin and Carson. These friends are big, strong and intense. They share a talent for football, a craving to play music and a passion for Zara Bateman. Zara was fun, gifted and quite honestly, one very lucky band geek, that will leave you totally jealous. The storyline is filled with heat, humor, drama and emotions. A real scorcher of a read!
Three hot guys, and their girl...yes please! This book is steamy, and it builds. You will find it hard to pick a favorite guy for Zara, but really, why should you have to. They’re all pretty fracking unbelievable. I am really enjoying this series. Each story gives you a little something familiar, with a little something new. I love this school! The scandals are hot, and makes normal just seem down right boring. Definitely a must read!
WOW 💋💋💋💋💋 just wonderful naughtiness & sweet! Most Fav of the series, I re-read this once quite a bit, it’s just amazing how mind-blowing they care for her and how wickedly amazing they made her first time be🎤🎸🎸🎹🎤
Banned is Book 4 in the Winchester Academy series 🎓 and comes with a why choose (MMMF) dynamic and a virgin FMC. It keeps the same academia setting as the earlier books, with plenty of sneaking around, forbidden tension, and a bit of drama woven into the plot 👀🔥.
Her “crazy moments” in the beginning were a bit confusing for me, and I didn’t really enjoy the pot part — it felt out of place. But overall, it’s still a pretty good quick read, especially if you’re here for the steam and the academy chaos 💋.
What I do enjoy is how the last three books drop hints about the upcoming couples — honestly, that’s what’s keeping me reading at this point. I love following the breadcrumbs to see who’s next 💞.
OMG! She did it! Madison made a book with equal parts smut and GOOD plot. Did I need the plot? Nope! But it didn’t feel like an afterthought either. Loving this series and looking forward to the next one 🤓
