How does one go on after they have lost everything?
I had protected and cared for Lilly since our parents died. It had always been the two of us. We did everything together. We were best friends—us against the world.
They had taken her from me, and I would sacrifice everything to get my sister back—including my mate.
Lilly had embraced the darkness. How could I save her without turning dark myself? What if there was nothing left to save?
Vis is Book 2 of the Nephilim’s Savior trilogy New Adult/Paranormal Romance/ Dark Romance. Approximately 66k words full novel Trigger warning. Also, contains violence, foul language, and consensual adult scenes.
I loved the story I thought it was really good some parts left me a little confused. I liked the characters and my heart broken to finally find happiness but have to feel true lost at the same time. Great story.
Vis is the second book in the Nephilim's Savior series, and since it's a continuing story line, YOU HAVE TO READ Fortis (Book 1) FIRST! The crazy twists & turns are ever present, as this story goes on, and I'm still not quite sure who all the players are as things are moving quicker along with all the prophecy going on surrounding Gabby, Alec, Lilly, and the Nephilim as a whole. Gabby has only wanted to protect her sister, Lilly from the paranormal world, but unfortunately, she couldn't, and it appears that Lilly had gone dark. Now it's a race against time to figure out everything coming, while trying to rescue her sister, and she's willing to give up everything to rescue Lilly, including Alec. And that's all that I'm going to say about that, as there's a ton going on, with more on the way as well. I'm obsessed with this new series dealing with light & dark, nephilim & fallen angels, and I CANNOT WAIT for more! P.C. Benson is simply brilliant at catapulting me into this exciting story which is otherworldly, so hit those one click buttons! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
“Vis… book #2 in the Nephilim’s Savior series is finally here!!! Yes!!! I was so ready for book two and it was everything I expected!! I’m so in love with P.C.’s writing style and her world is something you can’t miss!
If you read Fortis you’ll get what I’m saying and if not I highly recommend you this series specially if you love Nephilims as much as I do.
As expected the plot was fulled of twist and turns that kept me on the edge. The story was a little bit confusing to be honest. Things happened really fast and between the prophecy and Lilly’s darkness.
Alec I loved him. Cannot go without mention him!!! My heart broken at the beginning with them being apart and the running against the clock.
P.C wrote a magnificent second part!!! This series is a must read, trust me!!!”
The book needs heavy editing. The sentences are mostly very short, so the sentence structure reads choppy. There are some spaces missing; things are repeated several times. Even worse, words repeat from one sentence to the next: "I had to do the paperwork. I did the paperwork." Some details are missing, like what hair colour has Alec (and other appearance details)? What is their financial background and who is this Mrs. Wilson? This could be explained in a sentence, but not mentioning it brought me out of the reading flow. The writing jumps. "We decided to go home. We drove in the car. In my house, ..." Even when the reader is in one scene, it feels like the author jumps from thought to thought. There is a lack of sentence connections to make the reading flow smoother. The general idea is good, but it's a DNF in chapter 3 for me due to the writing style.
Gabrielle is leading a very ordinary life when it is turned upside down by the awareness that she has powers that she didn’t know she had and a purpose she could never imagine. I actually found her to be hard to take; as she keeps questioning those who are training her; even when they prove their cause. I didn’t like the way she pushed Alec away her protector and love interest.
