Morgan Brenner isn't pleased to learn that an older man is moving into the other side of her duplex. She expects he'll be like the last one, whom she purposefully ran off with her loud music. She's sure she'll hate her new neighbor, just like she hates the sleepy town of Middlebury where she remains stuck thanks to her own poor choices.
But Morgan is about to find out she's wrong.
Gavin McLeod is no fusty old man, even if he is older. The handsome, dignified Scottish writer is an experienced dominant, and it's not long before he realizes his younger neighbor needs not only a lesson in manners, but a fulltime mentor to get her train wreck of a life back on track.
Morgan isn't used to having someone call the shots. She's not used to someone caring. And she certainly isn't used to going over a man's knee for a serious, bare-bottomed spanking that leaves her sobbing for mercy and shamefully aroused.
She never expected she could feel such burning desire for an older man, or such deep trust. For Gavin, who has always kept his dominant role formal, the affection of a young woman who so freely calls him Daddy has him reconsidering his solitary existence.
But the relationship is not without its challenges. While the age gap is exciting, their lives are heading in different directions. When they inevitably find themselves at an emotional crossroads, will their unique bond be enough to hold them together? Or will Morgan and her Silver Daddy say goodbye forever?
Ava Sinclair is a best-selling Amazon romance author who caters to readers who appreciate a plot driven book where the steamy sex complements the story, rather than overshadowing it.
A hopeless bibliophile, Ava avidly reads across multiple genres, and this is reflected in her varied body of work that spans contemporary, medieval fantasy, western, historical, time travel and sci-fi. She especially enjoys world-building and crafting interesting and relatable characters.
Because her books feature graphic sex and elements of power exchange, she gently cautions her readers to take her work for what it is – delightful, sexy escapism.
Ava lives in southern Virginia in a farmhouse tucked away on a wooded hilltop. The first thing she did after moving in was to rip out the dining room and turn it into a library/office. This is where she spends most of her days, writing and being ignored by her cats. When she’s not working, she enjoys roaming the woods around her house, or seeking the advice of Lucius, her Eagle Owl.
Morgan is a young lady in need of some discipline in her life. Gavin moves into the duplex and becomes her neighbor with the right skills and desire to help her. Morgan's life is on a downward spiral and as Gavin learns more about his cute young neighbor, he decides to step in and give a guiding hand to the smart, but confused little in need of a daddy. The nasty, nosy, gossiping landlady needs some straightening out too and Gavin is just the man to take charge with handling her too. Chloe, Morgan's friend is a questionable friend also, so poor Morgan just can't win, but thankfully, Gavin has the skills and enough interest and caring heart to help Morgan learn some responsibility with some stern discipline and loving care. I loved how sincere Gavin was and how very patient he was as he guided Morgan into becoming all she had the potential to be, while establishing trust and strength to succeed in life with her affectionate daddy. The relationship was sweet with the right amount of urging that Morgan needed and secretly desired. The age difference wasn't much of a problem, their compatibility overcame any potential kinks. The sex they eventually had was sweet and hot, and I really wished there was more. This couple do get to have their HEA, which I was happy to see they worked out in the end.
Morgan is getting a new neighbor, another old guy to complain about her all the time. Her music is too loud, her dog barks too much, she this, she that. Only Gavin isn't that way. He's more hands-on with his complaints. When Morgan first meets Gavin, she is surprised by how young he really is. Not the fuddy-duddy she thought he'd be. When he takes her over his knee, she is even more surprised at what kind of response he elicits from her. With his guidance, Morgan grows as an adult, into the woman she needs to be. Her personal life and her professional life are moving forward.
Gavin is struck by Morgan and her ability to call him Daddy. She likes what he gives her. He knows that she will eventually find a man her age and that hurts him. Yet he can't stop from helping and disciplining her - when she needs it. But all things come to an end. He purchases a house, while she signs a lease in the city. Their story has run its course. Or has it? Will Morgan come back to her daddy?
Normally I'm not a big fan of Daddy Dom books, but this one I liked. Daddy Gavin wasn't a big dick Alpha who ruled with an iron hand. He gave her what she needed and deserved. Not for just his pleasure, but for both of their mutual enjoyment. It was a quick and enjoyable book.
After reading that book, I wish I could find a man like Gavin. I'd like him to be my daddy too. Maybe I should do like her with my friends who aren't really friendly. I wish I could have someone like Gavin to hold me in his arms, who'd take care of me and teach me about some things that I don't know You should read that book. I'm sure you'll think like me, that you need a man like Gavin or a woman.
I’m always leery of a relationship age difference of 20 or more, but in this case it was refreshing. They took care of each other and fell in love without adding children to the mix. I love a good story without a pregnancy! How nice to have a Brit and an American together. And if she calls him Daddy, so what? Every relationship is different.
Morgan and Gavin's story is a little sweet, a little angst, and a little steam! A wonderful age gap story with light DDlg. Don't forget to sign up for Ava's newsletter, you can get the bonus Epilogue. It is super hot!
It was so f*cking cute and kinky. I'm thirsty for more silver daddy im not the kind of person leaves a comment but it was impossible to not doing it. My favorite story of this autor.
Silver Daddy is a surprising jewel of insurmountable value! I had a small idea of what I might encounter going into this story, but what I found left me wonderfully tongue tied and amazingly wishing for more. No one can prepare you for what you will find within these pages. Only you can peel back the layers until you find a treasure worth more then you can ever put a price on. This is a brilliant journey that will shock, mesmerize, and astound you every step of the way!
Morgan made one bad decision in her new adult life. That one choice has left her spiraling out of control. Barely hanging on, she is not thrilled to learn that she has a new neighbor. Not only is she not thrilled for the company, but it’s yet another older man. Just what she needs it another grump complainer who will make her life even more of a living hell. Gavin isn’t sure what to expect when he moved into the duplex next to Morgan. He as already been thoroughly warned, but he plans on formulating his own opinion. When he finds more to Morgan then anything else has bothered to see, he invites her to accept his help. Now, she must make yet another life altering decision. Attempt to trust another person, or walk away with the remnants of her life as they fall apart. This is not a no-brainer situation. Instead it is a choice to reach out for life or death at the hands of another or her own. We fear the unknown and sometimes for good reason, but help can come in all shapes and sizes. We just need to take a chance and see what happens.
I was honestly pleasantly surprised by what I found within these pages. There was beauty written and woven between these pages and words. Nothing was crass or forced. What was find was allowed to breath and grow naturally. I enjoyed the unique dynamic and the brilliant friendship that blossomed. It was healthy and helped both of them heal and move forward. This is a wonderful journey that somehow yet wonderfully flowed into a deep and awe-inspiring love. What a swoon worthy story!!
Ava Sinclair is a wonderful author who has deeply touched my heart. Her story was forever left its mark on my heart, and I will never forget it and its gently yet firm messages of love and discipline. What a remarkable set of characters! I loved watching them grow into the people they were meant to be, and it left me utterly breathless. I can’t wait to read more from this astounding author!
I'm honestly kind of shook right now because I honestly wasn't expecting this to be as good as it was. I genuinely really enjoyed reading this. It didn't have any of the creep factors that tend to come with both like this nor was I cringing so hard I was getting a cramp. This was fun, light-hearted, emotional at times but in the perfect amounts. Gavin wasn't creepy, he was actually quite sweet and Morgan was kind of adorable. I also really enjoyed how the topic of age wasn't you too young therefore we can't be together but instead it was because I'm older than you there's also a shift in the power Dynamic and I don't want you to think that's why you have to be with me. I hope I am making sense. The point of this was good haha.
My only complaint, and it's not so much a complaint as it is an observation, is the smut because of course it is. I was kind of expecting this to be more on the erotic side of a romance. I think that's a snap judgment to make because I mean look at the title and look at the other books in this author's backlist. I'm being fair and wanting to read hot smut does not make me a bad person. But the smut wasn't really smut if you catch my drift. The dirty talk was hot and the events leading up to what should have been smut was hot but the scenes itself were kind of vague and nowhere near the explicit NSFW scenes I've come accustomed to. Were they bad? No. But when I say I was expecting wanted things to be raunchier... well that statement will either make or break this for you.
Anyways if you like Daddy kink you won't be disappointed with this one. It's hot and sweet without being cheesy or annoying. Also it's super short so why not. 4 solid stars.
i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the older man/ younger woman romance between Morgan and Gavin. Morgan is a young woman who was in trouble and found herself on probation and struggling to find work and pay her bills. Morgan also had to settle for renting a duplex after her uncle asked a friend to rent to her, but her landlady liked to but in and make it known Morgan was close to being kicked out. When Morgan met her new neighbor, Gavin, she was expecting the older man to be mean and complain about her. Gavin realized Morgan needed guidance and a strong hand to keep her in line. When Gavin offered to help Morgan, he expected her to follow his rules and take responsibility for herself. Gavin was also willing to punish Morgan with a spanking when needed. Morgan began to feel attracted to Gavin and he wanted to be with her, but he thought she should find someone her own age. I liked this book. I liked Gavin and i think he really did care about Morgan and he wanted her to be happy and succeed. Morgan needed someone to care about her and show her one mistake didn't have to ruin her life. Good one.
Morgan is a young woman that is used to doing whatever she wants. She basically chased her old neighbor out because of her behavior and she thinks that she can do the same to the new one. However Gavin knows all she needs is some discipline and he is the one to give it to her. When he catches her stealing his WIFI password he knows that he needs to act to get her to see how bad her behavior is. Morgan is tired of being talked about over one bad decision and its worse when she learns how her one friend truly feels about her. When Gavin disciplines her for some of what she has done instead of being put off by him she is drawn to him and the sense of safety he gives her. Will Gavin be the one to tame this wild woman? Can they be together given all the talk the small town does?
This is a great story that will capture you from the first page. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The emotion in this story is just so amazing. The connection that Morgan and Gavin create is just something that is so beautiful and one that you can really feel. It really powers the entire book and makes you want to just kind of roll around in their connection and their love.
I like Morgan, and feel sorry for her, since I've been that person who is living right on the edge of everything and it's just exhausting and you don't even realize how bad it is until you get some kind of help. It's hard as all get out. I think that she does the best she can, but when you are that far down, even the best you can do isn't always enough.
Gavin is a good man, and I think that he has a huge heart and he wants to help the entire world feel better. I think that he does really well when it comes to Morgan.
I thought this book was perfection. I just loved everything about it. The entertaining story was a very engaging blend of emotions and steam. I thought Morgan and Gavin were amazing characters. Gavin was everything you could wish for in a daddy, plus he was simply a genuine good guy. Morgan had so much realism and rawness to her. My heart ached for her. I felt they were made for each other. Their chemistry was electric and their scenes were steamy. This is a wonderful read that pulled me in from the start and had me rooting for this couple every step of the way. This is a book that should not be missed if you are a fan of the older man/younger woman trope and enjoy daddy stories. Of my own volition I'm posting a sincere review.
Morgan has had a rough life. She is talented but she feels like a burden and is angry with the world. Gavin moved into this little town for the low crime and the quiet atmosphere. When these two meet, you don’t know what to expect.
I have to say I love older men, younger women stories. It’s refreshing. I do wish that my guy was more of a Daddy sometimes but that is beside the point. I love the progression of Morgan and how Gavin was there to give guidance. She was in such a negative space with everything. It took an older man to change that. I have to say though that older men are better. My opinion. This story was comforting for me, like being cuddled.
This was a great story! Morgan is a young woman who has made some seriously wrong choices. She embezzled from her employer and was convicted of a felony. Chloe is supposed to be her best friend, but doesn't always act that way. Gavin moves in next door in the other half of the townhouse Morgan lives in. He is an older man who has traveled the world. He has helped out a lot of women by being their mentor and sometimes their daddy. Morgan has dropped almost to her last and then Gavin comes to her rescue with discipline and help. I really enjoyed the relationship between the two. There is definitely a HEA, but the fun is in how they get there.
Silver Daddy is the first book I have read by Ava Sinclair and I thought it was nice. It was well written with interesting characters in Morgan and Gavin. They had the whole older man/younger woman thing that turned into a Daddy Dom relationship when he spanked her. He did take care of her but he also nurtured and guided her to being an adult.
I did enjoy the story and am happy that I picked it up. The one thing that I wish it had a bit more of were sex scenes, even though it was somewhat steamy for me it could have used a bit more heat.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Sweet, sentimental, so intimate, so exquisitely done. The voices and desires of both characters are captured so effortlessly.
This seems to be the silver unicorn of younger woman/older man romance where the woman isn't a virginal high school or college student, and the older male isn't what any woman over 30 herself knows isn't "old". We have the older male hero that honestly considers life trajectories, and is willing to lose what he loves in order to allow his younger partner to fly free.
This is an amazing story. I loved every minute of it. I loved seeing the growth in both Morgan and Gavin. I didn’t want it to end.
Morgan has made a few mistakes and can’t seem to get back on track. When her new neighbor moves in, she is determined to live up to miscomvice notions. Gavin is different from anyone she has every met. He maybe be the best thing to happen to her. Will he be able to help her get her life on track? Will they have a future together?
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is an older man/younger girl story but no one under 18. Morgan is ostracised from her family by doing something illegal to be with her friend. As she tries to scare away the newest Neighbour Gavin it seems that she needs more than just a friend who Lourdes her job etc over her head. Will she be able to be an adult who is confident under Gavin’s watch??? Will her so called friend always have the upper hand????? A good read and story although I didn’t like Chloe at all.
The dynamic in this one holds true to the progression of a real DDlg relationship where it's one focused on supporting the little in everyday life as well as nurturing their little side. Gavin boosted her confidence and her ability to adult in every aspect of her life especially communicating her needs. Not only was this one erotic it was seriously romantic. Plus I loved that this DDlg relationship didn't feel the need to end with marriage and a baby as so many of them do.
I really enjoyed this book, Wow, this was an amazing book that tore at my heart. It was sweet and tender and an emotional to read. Morgan and Gavin were the perfect older man-younger woman couple and their chemistry is off the charts. This book is part of the Who's Your Daddy Series. I loved the characters and the story was entertaining. I read an arc via Bookfunnell and voluntarily chose to review.
I liked most of the story as it was revealed. The commanding nature he had was clear as the author crafted telling scenes between them. Morgan was a great character as well - her past was interesting and I loved how he gave her control to correct her life mistakes. What I didn't understand was the family connection. There wasn't enough detail to understand why her family did what they did and the email from her father was never addressed so that was strange. It was a good story overall.
