Lily's is back home for spring break. Most of her college friends are partying in warm climates, but Lily has to stay home and help her parents pack up their house before moving day. She's nostalgic and miserable and to top it off, her best friend, Charlotte is having issues with her father and boyfriend and ask Lily for her help.
Linc, hates that his daughter Charlotte is dating. He hates everything about it, especially the thought that his little girl, is all grown up. The problem is that Charlotte's best friend is also all grown up and he can't help but be turned on every time she walks into a room. Now, recently divorced, the last thing he needs is to be tangled up in another messy relationship and nothing would be messier than falling for his daughter's best friend.
It was supposed to be a one-time thing, except these things are never just one time, especially since Lily is constantly flaunting her fantastic body in his face every time she steps out of her house and onto his driveway.

"We haven’t talked much, and I don’t know what kind of dangerous game we’re playing but I, for one, can’t seem to stop."
This was a good read! It could have been longer but I was okay with it because it was plotted and paced well. I really liked Linc and thought he was a good hero. He had a good mix of "this is wrong" and "I'm going to do this anyway" in his actions and attitude. I'm pretty sure I melted every time he called Lily "baby" and "sweetheart". He daughter was an annoying mess though. I'm glad that the author admitted charlotte was overdramatic within the first few pages or I would have thought, what is wrong with this girl? Does the author really think 18 year olds are like this? I'll be checking out some other items by this author now that I've finished this book.
Full disclosure... I didn't even read the blurb for this book before I picked it up. There's only a handful of authors that I'm going to read the book regardless of what it's about but Sidney Halston is one of them.
This book is so different from the series I've read but it was so good. There is so much heat in this forbidden romance I thought my kindle would catch on fire!! Linc and Lily shouldn't work but I loved that everything about them did. I definitely wanted more of these two!!
Wow! Hot guy, recently divorced and her best friend’s dad. Although this is really hot, think dirty, there is a decent story to enjoy too. It’s a pretty quick read, a little sass and laughs, and some stressful parenting moments. I received an advanced copy, review given voluntarily.
I really enjoy the older man / younger woman type of story. It is odd when the older man is the girl’s best friend’s father though. But this one was well written and I did enjoy it.
This was a scorching little novella! A taboo pairing done right. I don't mind an age-gap romance as long as the guy isn't depicted as a weirdo creep. Ms. Halston lured me in and kept me entertained. The best friend’s dad angle worked for me. I enjoyed the plot, and the chemistry between Lily and Linc was undeniably hot and believable. 4 solid erotic stars!
I love the stories of older men and young girls. Linc seemed a little exaggerated to me with her daughter, like most parents, Lily, a very mature girl who knew how to handle the situation and that to me was what balanced the two of them together. Recommended
It’s about a divorced man who couldn’t get the fact that her baby daughter is already grown up and having a boyfriend, and his sexual frustrations towards his daughter best friend. It’s a quick read, it’s fun, but I don’t think I would remember much after finishing this.
This was good. I found both MC's to have great chemistry. I liked how forward and unapologetic the h was in her pursuit of the H. I did find his daughter to be rather annoying and bratty.
I loved the author’s Panic Series and really liked her Iron Clad Security books. So I knew her writing was good, but still went into this book without expectations and knowing only what the title gave away.
Only now, after I finished the book, did I read the blurb and must say that it sounds really good. I definitely would have expected a lot more from the story because of it.
It’s very unusual for me to give such a low rating because usually when I don’t like a book all that much, I dnf it. In this case though, the book was very short, still readable and not badly written; only the story fell too flat for me.
Lily was eighteen and an inexperienced girl. I was baffled when she made such a bold and slutty move on her best friend’s dad, Mr. bossy pants, and came on too strong on him. I can’t help it, it felt so inappropriate how she seduced him. I just didn’t like how she offered herself up to him like that.
I do enjoy taboo stories from time to time. But usually, despite the forbiddenness, they still feel right. In this case though, it all just felt so weird and wrong.
What bothered me most was how easy and fast everything happened. Considering that it was such a taboo with her being so young and the guy being an older, divorced father, it just didn't click for me at all. There was no built-up, no connection to the characters, no chemistry or even some giddiness. There was no affection and no growing feelings. Everything was thrown in so suddenly to move the story along at a rapid speed. Although I had no expectations going in, I at least anticipated some feelings to build between the characters, but it was all about sex. This would have been fine if made right, it wasn't though.
There were a few things that I didn't particularly like. For example how Lily gave the man, who was more than double her age, parenting advice. Ugh. Sorry, but she didn't even seem mature enough for me. It was more like a know-it-all teenager thinking she knew everything best. And how she saw it as a given that everyone would be okay with her relationship with this older man. *shaking head*
Since this book was so short, I can’t list all the other things I didn’t like because it would give the story away, but let’s just say that everything seemed unreal and ridiculous regarding Lily, as well as her annoying friend.
The book had potential and I think with a bit more story, development and well thought through processes, it would have made a much better story. Because the characters sure had their moments that I liked, e.g. their teasing ways. It was kinda cute really. But it wasn’t enough to make up for the not-so-good parts.

Quick, sexy, taboo romance due to age gap and situation, but holy hotness batman, these two, Linc and Lily, have off the charts chemistry, making this and undisputed 5 star read. Lily is best friends with and grew up next door to Charlotte who is Linc’s daughter. Newly divorced, Linc is a free man and finds himself very attracted to Lily, sort of suddenly, while she is home for spring break, and he denies it in his mind and beats himself up about it, however, their attraction just can’t be denied, and the story that follows is just WOW! I know I’m calling it taboo but it doesn’t really feel like taboo, it’s more like two people attracted to each other with some hurdles to overcome. Linc wasn’t around much when Lily and Charlotte where growing up, and he is a little grumpy pants here and there, but he’s basically the perfect book boyfriend, attentive and protective. Just such an enjoyable read! Grab this one, you won’t be sorry!
DILF by Sidney Halston is such a steamy, quick read. I am in nursing school so I have absolutely no time to read anything but when I saw another book by Sidney I had to grab it. I devoured this book, like, I picked it up and started reading and didn't put it down until I was done. Personally I feel like most short books, at least some that I have read, are so underdeveloped that I don't like to read them unless they are a novella because I don't feel as connected to the characters, but Sidney made Lily and Linc characters that I felt like I knew their whole story already. It was well written, super hot, and I love the fact that I could fall for a "Bad boy" dad instead of the typical young hero(s) that I have read about.
DAMN Linc is one SEXY DILF and catches the eye of Lily, the girl next door ;). Man I love a good quick sexy read and Linc and Lily give it all in this.
