I read the blurb, I saw all the 5-stars reviews, I saw that it was related to the Trident Security's series, and I jumped into it. All the ingredients for it to be amazing were gathered....
Maybe my expectations were too high, I don't know, but what a disappointment this book was to me!
I wanted to love it so much :(

This is the firs book I read from Deanna L Rowley . She wrote this book as part of Samantha’s Suspenseful Seduction World. This book took my by the throat.
The things happening to Sophia were heart breaking. The story is emotional and suspenseful. The group of people becoming friends are wonderful.i immediately got in to the story when it started and it never left me until I finessed it. This is a great read.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have been a huge fan I’d Samantha Cole’s Stories, so when I discovered Sinful, Seductive World was kicking off with other authors taking on some of our favourite characters into new storyline’s, I was so in. Bourbon Blaze was my first read and a first read for Deanna. Have to say, loved it.

I loves strong alpha men in my books, but there is a lot to say about strong leading ladies too. Sofia Swanson held this role perfectly, she’s damaged and badly broken but the inner strong woman takes her on a new life path, and a new life. After being beaten and attacked by her ex and his dog, she leaves her home and job in Florida, to move across the country to Iowa to live with her cousin. Almost immediately her past haunts her, with a huge dog finding her in a truck stop. Fear takes over, leaving a very confused sexy man and his dog. It’s not until she starts her job as a designer at HALO Customs, she finds face to face with the same man and his dog, lighting up more than fear inside her.

Major Sean Kilduff and his partner Kilo work together at the local sheriff department. As members of the force, Kilo is a very well respected member of the county. Where Sean goes, Kilo does too. But when Sean finally gets a call from HALO to have his bike seen for its custom design, he is struck by the sane gorgeous woman that took off like a bat out of hell at the stop earlier. Their chemistry is off the charts from that first meeting, but his huge German malinois puts the fear of god into her.

Sofia is not sure she will ever be able to have any sort of relationship with Sean, but she certainly wants to try… The man is sexy as sin, and definitely an alpha in other areas. If she can open up about her past, those scars , both emotionally and physically she might just get the future she wants in Bum Fuck Iowa 😄

This is the first book I've read by Deanna L. Rowley. I was thrilled to see she was going to write Sean Kilduff's story. Sean is from one of Samantha Cole's books in her Trident Security series. We would just get bits and pieces of Sean so I'm happy to get his full story. And what a story it is. Sophia has been badly abused enough to where her boss sends her to his brother Curt Bannerman and his wife, Dana. Curt and Dana have their own story, Whiskey Tribute, in Samantha's world. My heart broke at what Sophia went through and with Sean having his partner, K9 Kilo, you know there are going to be issues to be worked through. I honestly can't say a lot without telling the story or giving stuff away but this was a wonderful story of overcoming things standing in your way of living a full and happy life. Very well written, there were a few hiccups at the beginning of the story but I'm sure those will be taken care of. Sean is very patient of Sophia and I just fell in love with Kilo!!!!

WOW! This book was amazing! From the very first page it had me hooked. I felt every emotion that Sophia went through from terror, pain, fear and love and a few more. Her relationship with Sean how he helped her with her PTSD. You will love this book, I am a new fan and will be stalking her! Can’t wait to read more from her!!!!!

I don’t know who my heart ached for more in this story, Sophia or Dawg, and that’s a measure of the author’s ability to make you feel even for the apparent aggressor. I fell in love with a character, though, and I defy any reader not to do so – and the character is Kilo. When he knocked at Sophia’s door to show he was a friend, my eyes may have leaked.

This story has a great reconnection with the Curt Bannermans (with Dana and her kids, and their new baby girl – although no longer a baby), and we see Connor again, the little boy whose birthday party Ian and co. set up in Whiskey Tribute. I loved this book, and I’m struggling to convey how much and why, without saying too much. I felt that the aggression in the abuse was well handled; it is mostly told in Sophia’s words, rather than the reader “watching” the blows fall, and so it becomes about her experience of it and its effect on her, rather than a more sensationalist voyeurism. And there’s Sean, Kilo’s handler, and a character that is built on his deeds, not flowery words. I see that this is “Stormville Book 1”; I look forward to many more in this series.

I received a copy of this book from the author, and I am reviewing it because I loved it.

Seriously I am not surprised that this woman ended up afraid of dogs and suffering as she did, the way she deals just shows how strong she is. I love that she found friends to support and help her. The bulk of characters are easy to love, one I found slightly confusing a couple of times but maybe that's for a future story. Obviously I didn't like the bad guys, they were seriously messed in the head. Fast flowing story that pulls your attention and then holds it, it is a good length though so didn't get to sit and read in one hit. It has excitement and some suspense in a few places, just when things are going great you somehow know something will crop up to throw a spanner in the works. I will be looking out for more by this author, I was impressed with the quality of her writing as well as the use of the borrowed characters. I was very taken with Kilo as well such an understanding and intelligent dog.

This book was my first introduction to Deanna Rowley. I believe this may have been her first book ever. I chose to read this book because it brought in characters from another of my favorite authors. Ms, Rowley integrates characters from Samantha A Cole's Trident Security Series and does it seamlessly. The author creates a story that is so believable what the circumstances that surround Sophia you cannot help but feel for her. Her strength and ability to create a wonderful relationship with Sean is just awe inspiring. What Sophia overcomes both by herself and was in the relationship as well as the suspenseful moments I make this a must-read! You won't be sorry. Can't wait to read the rest of the books that she chooses to put in a series, there are lots of great characters to learn more about :)

I am loving this suspenseful seduction series of books, New to me authors with stories that both tug at your heart and leave you wanting so much more. This intense story takes you from Florida to literally the middle of bumfuck nowhere as we follow Sophia as she struggles with PTSD due to domestic violence. A story full of surprises and a depth of understanding that will leave you wanting to read more by this author

You know when the book is connected to another series your in for a treat and when it’s SamanthaA Cole then double the treat your in for. This is the first book by Deanna I’ve read and can say she did this story justice in the way it was written and how well she told the story. Sean and Sophia are ideal for each other but Sean has the only partner Sophia is afraid of his dog Kilo. What follows is nothing a true love story and how if you want something it’s worth fighting for.

An amazing book that will keep you on the age of your seat. My cause triggers for some, so if that bothers you, don't read. Sophia had a tragic past, Chris, her boss, sends her to his other buisness in Iowa, she's a painter, designer and detailer for a motorcycle shop. Sean is a deptuty sheriff in the small town she goes to and he has a K-9 partner named Kilo. There's plenty of danger, suspense and secrets. HEA.

Bourbon Blaze

The title makes sense near the end of the book. This is a fine romance between a strong woman and protective man. Lots of bad stuff happens, is overcome. PTSD is discussed, both military and civilian causes.
This is the second time I've read this story and it only got better.

Great book!

I loved reading this book! The story was very entertaining and had some old book friends from Trident Security! Sophia is afraid of dogs and Sean has a dog he has for work. It is a long road for them but worth every bump in the road!

Kilo

The dog was the hero for this story. Kilo was so awesome. Story was good but there were some issues with some things repeating that were hard to ignore.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It started out with a terrifying, brutal attack on Sophia. Her boss is Chris Bannerman, who we met in Samantha Cole's stories. He sends her to his brother, Curt, to work for him, and also to be safe. She meets Sean and his K9, Kilo, and things don't go well. Kilo is patient and so understanding. I think he was one of my favorite characters in the whole book! The way he understands what she needs is amazing! This is a must read story! It has it all, romance, suspense, twists and turns, and best of all, a HEA

Take one traumatized woman who has suffered through immeasurable torture and pain. Add in one solicitous, caring and sexy county sheriff whose K9 is not only his partner but is family too. You've got the makings of an enjoyable romance with just enough danger and suspense to keep things interesting. Sophia Swanson is one tough lady who is determined to start living her life again despite her PTSD. Sean Kilduff is more than willing to walk with Sophia each step of her journey and Kilo, Sean's Belgian Malinois, adopts Sophia long before she's ready to be comfortable around him.

Oh wow! I’m just loving each and every one of of the Suspenseful Seduction World! This gem featured on the Bannermans bike Shops. The detail artist Sophia moves to the Ohio shop from Florida.
After all the truama she has been through, she needed a safe place to go. Before she even gets there an incident occurs at the rest stop with Sean a sheriff’s deputy and his K -9 partner Kilo. This book draws you in at page 1. Loved it!! Great job♥️

I reviewed a complementary copy of this book.

I'm going to start out saying this book absolutely took me by surprise and once I started reading it, I was absolutely enthrall and couldn't put it down. This book does have some triggers if you been in a abusive relationship or afraid of dogs, but once you start reading it you are in for one hell of a ride. Sophia Swanson was in abusive relationship until her boss stopped by and saved her life and got her far far away from Fl. Now she is in small country town ,but when a dog comes near her she freaks out. Deputy Sean Kilduff and his k9 partner are on there way home and stop at rest stop but when Sean hears blood curdling screams he comes face to face with a woman who is freaking out over his dog. Kilo doesn't understand why and neither does his handler, but he does have a good idea what happened to her. When feelings start to happen can they make it work or will her past catch up with her? We get to see Nick and Jake from Trident security and woohoo swoon. This was absolutely a Fantastic book. Plus we got to see our hot Trident men ❤ I'm so wanting more from this author and I'm gonna be buying more of her books.

Sophia has moved to Iowa to work for her boss's brother. She is a detailer. Sean is a deputy for the sheriff's department. Sophia is scared of dogs after being attacked twice. She really likes Sean but doesn't think it will work due to her fear. She is now in counseling.
Sean is willing to take all the time it takes for things to work. While he is away helping with a man hunt, Sophia is taken. Can Kilo track her? Will this set back their relationship?

Bourbon Blaze is part of Samantha Cole’s “Suspenseful Seduction World”, it’s written by Deanna L Rowley and has a some of Samantha’s Trident Security characters in it. Deanna wrote a great book for Sophia who works for Chris and Curt Bannerman, and Sean a Sheriff Deputy and his K-9 Kilo. I was sucked in from the very first page and couldn’t put the book down until it was done. I loved seeing Samantha’s characters again and meeting new characters from Deanna that are just as intriguing. Having never read her writing before, I was happy to find a new to me author whose books are now on my TBR list, and I seriously hope she continues with the new characters she introduced in the book.

This is an exciting new book in the Suspenseful Seduction World. It starts off with a heart stopping scene and then ends with one. We’ve met the Bannerman Brothers in the Samantha A Cole’s Trident Series. They own and operate HALO Customs, a motorcycle repair and detail shop in Florida and Iowa. When the Sophia, a retailer for Chris in Florida is viciously beaten by her ex and attacked by his dog receiving over 400 stitches, she is sent to work for yet in his Iowa show. Sophia meets a local Sheriff’s Deputy and they click, only problem is he’s a K9 Officer and is very attached to his partner Kilo. It turns out Kilo really likes Sophia to. Can she over her trauma to give these two a chance?

How incredibly moving!

Beautiful novel!
This is not your normal suspense, but is definitely comes with it!( Suspense)
Sophia is such an amazingly strong woman, and so much more. Sean is truly her perfect match, he sees beyond the immediate.
Together they pack a powerful punch.
Add in secondar characters that are not simply one dimensional and you have a truly moving novel, it will make you tear a bit, and want to fight more, and certainly cheer!
Beautiful book!
