The complete series. All five books in one collection.
Book 1: First Wave Just another Friday night. Or is it? Homeland Security Agent Dakota Pierce is in the Washington backwoods to sniff out domestic terrorism. DEA rookie Josh Weber and his dog show up to uncover a mystery of their own. When a young woman’s body is discovered, everything points to a local militia.
Book 2: Second Chance The agent left behind. Stuck on probation with nothing to do but busywork. Niall’s case points to a research college hiding more secrets than the local police. He meets Haley, who is looking for her missing friend. The former Navy sailor won’t stop until she’s figured out what the disappearance has to do with the Russians in Portland. When the two collide, a bigger plot is revealed. One that puts hundreds in danger.
Book 3: Third Hour Hiding from her enemy. Talia takes an assignment at a bank, where she meets a dashing Secret Service agent. Before anything can happen, the NSA analyst is implicated in a cyber-crime. Mason knows there’s more going on, but Talia won’t tell him what happened to her. When the hacker closes in, and the Secret Service office is targeted, the only way to uncover what’s really going on is for them all to trust each other. But with their histories, that’s a whole lot easier said than done.
Book 4: Fourth Day A dead woman returns. The trap is set. Allyson can’t get caught up in feelings. Not when there’s work to do. The night her phone rings, the voice on the other end changes everything. Drawn into the latest Northwest Counter-Terrorism Taskforce case, Allyson has to figure out where her loyalties lie. Sal knows things are changing with the team, but he isn’t sure what’s next for him. As soon as he clears this one last investigation he’ll figure it out. Trouble is, finding Allyson might be the hardest thing he’s ever done.
Book 5: Final Stand A vendetta. The biggest case of her life. Victoria Bramlyn has been a spy, a State Department Director, team leader and friend. But there’s one role she’s never realized. The woman in Mark Welvern’s life. When the capture of a corrupt FBI agent and one of the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted is finally within her grasp, Victoria has to make one last choice between the people she loves and the score she needs to settle. Mark has loved Victoria for years. But there just might be too much history between Victoria and Mark for them to make a relationship work. When the truth about everything she's done comes to light, his loyalty to her is tested and he is forced to decide between duty and having what he’s always wanted. Will he give it all up for her? Love meets obligation head on in this explosive conclusion to what readers are calling, “a five-star series!”
The Northwest Counter-Terrorism Task Force is on the case.

This is an excellent series and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It is Christian, and the author does include God in it, but I could wish there was more included. All the books are about the people on the Northwest Counter Terrorism Taskforce. Each book puts a different member in the spotlight. I loved every one of them and never wanted to put them down. If you like Christian suspense, mystery, or romance; if you like books about spies, military or police dogs, technology, or terrorism, then you'll like these books because they have all of that and more! So grab up the box set, curl up on the couch and enjoy!
First Wave: So, I did this series a bit backwards. I read the second book and then this book. I definitely recommend reading them in order. I loved this intro to the series. Getting to see all of the members of this team and getting a feel for their personalities and how they work together. I liked the murder investigation, the terrorism angle, and this sweet slow burn romance between our mains. There is danger, a military working dog, and their pasts coming up to affect their present. This was a Christian romance and I liked how that was worked into the fabric of the story. It shapes our characters and their worldview. I can't wait for the next book in this series to release and I'm excited to read more from this author.
Second Chance: This was originally my first book in this series and I could tell I was missing a lot of backstory. After some months I went back and started the series at book one and then came and reread this one. It was even better that time and I noticed even more connections to book one. There is an ongoing mystery in this series. It was a thorough adventure that kept going on. I was definitely fooled by the mystery and the whole interwoven saga.
Third Hour: I am absolutely devouring this series. It is definitely best read in order, though each book can stand alone, there is an overarching mystery and all of the characters in this team reappear to a high extent in each book. I love this series. The idea of a task force with characters from different lettered agencies is fascinating. I'm liking the law enforcement expertise involved in each book and the interesting and different crimes and criminals that they come up against. These stories are new and fresh and I'm kind of hurrying with this review because I literally can't wait to go start the next book.
Fourth Day: This book was intense. It was different from the first three as this whole mystery ramps up and comes to a head. I enjoyed these characters and their teams. It was interesting to have these characters come together with a history that I don’t remember hearing anything about previously. It made me wonder if they had cameos in a previous series. That aside, there was plenty of action and danger to keep me enthralled. I’m excited for the conclusion to this series.
Final Stand: Whew. This was a whirlwind book. Crazy and so many pieces and emotion and turmoil. The past and the present and all of it a tangled web. Based on our views of Victoria these past books.. wow, Phillips definitely did not give her an easy time in this one. I don't even know what to say. This was a top notch thriller with a terrorist bad guy with a huge arsenal of possibilities. I loved our hero and his soft heart for our heroine - his childhood friend. FBI and CIA grow up together and face the world together. Friends hovering on the cusp of more for so long. This was sweet and intense. A great Christian romantic suspense. I'm sad this series is over, but I'm thrilled to head over to another of Phillips', she's got me hooked.
I really enjoy stories where the reader or watcher slowly learns the big picture and this series does that so well. A well thought out storyline over the series though each book has a wonderful story of its own. The characters are a diverse bunch with growing relationships with each other and God, also growing in themselves. They are funny and clever people who grow into a great team while saving the 'world', though actually the USA, though that was fine for me a reader from the bottom of the world.
Lots of action Implausible romance. Little substance.
I have several problems and I've stopped in book 3. The boy meets girl/girl meets boy at work during crisis is cloying. The failure close, using epilogues to skip actual logical resolution. And the fact I don't seem to care half way through the series. It was free. So I got my money's worth.
You absolutely have to read this final book of the series!! No spoilers here. Only want to say I have never read a better book as the finale. You won’t want to put it down.
This will be a series I can enjoy reading over and over. There’s so much that happens in each book that I could never retain all the details. And each is written so well!!
This was a captivating series. Once I got started I just had to keep going to the next book. Each book told its own story but the characters evolved and developed throughout the series. The action just kept on coming and not always in the way you expected. It was refreshing to read books of this genre without language and off-putting scenes. the Christian influence was there throughout.
I bought the set after reading the first book. I loved the characters and found the plot quick, surprising and impossible to put down. These books are real, yet with a satisfying ending, as all fiction should supply.
I really liked this series. Well paced and we'll written without the use of foul language. Lots of action. I would suggest this series to anyone who likes detective and romance novels. This is a must read.
If you are looking for a fast paced series that won’t let you sleep at night until you’ve read the next book, with characters that draw you into their stories - look no further! The Northwest Counter-Terrorism Taskforce series is all that and more!
Characters that come to life, bigger than life stakes, fast paced action! This series has it all. Drama and romance. If you love a clean, well written story line, this series is just for you!
This five book series has cost me too many night of very little sleep. Enjoyed it even though it pushed the boundaries on believable for Victoria. Well written and proofread.
This is a very exciting Series. The Characters are well developed and very enjoyable The plot is very exciting and easy to follow. A Good series of books all in collection!!! A Very Good Read! Santa Mike
It was great having thrillers with a faith element, but what many people say is true about the disjointed nature of internal monologues and conversations. It gets better with each book, but I found it hard to get through the whole series.
This series has it all. Edge of your seat action, teammates and friends taking down the bad guys, romance, and a clean God centered focus. I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend the whole series. I can't wait to read more of this author.
I am amazed at Lisa Phillips ability to grab you and keep you on the edge of your heart. This series is my favorite. I've read it more than once and will read it again. The faith deposited in the storyline makes me smile. Thank you.
This was an endurance through ups and downs of the underside of this world. Held together by friendship and love, the bad is conquered with God's help.
