For Leo Meyer, being the Dom in residence at The Club has been a perfect life. A strict daily routine free from emotional attachment has been safe and comfortable. But when the only woman he ever loved walks back into his life, his world is turned upside down.

Wolf Meyer has been restless since an injury ended his career in the Navy SEALs. Hoping to reconnect with his brother Leo, Wolf accepted a job with Julian Lodge. His first assignment is to train Shelley McNamara, a gorgeous sub with a troubled past.

Shelley came to The Club to forge a new life and heal her wounded heart. She never dreamed that exploring her dark fantasies with her new Master would leave her caught between two brothers.

4 STARS

This series has a formula that just does it for me each and every single time. It just works. Lexi sure knows how to write one deliciously sinful menage, and this one definitely didn't disappoint. I also loved the crossover of series here between the Texas Sirens and Bliss. For those that love Bliss like I do, you'll be excited to see Logan make an appearance here. But of course the stars of the story are Leo, Wolf and Shelley.

Leo has always had a thing for Shelley. Unfortunately Shelley has always been the woman that he wanted but couldn't have. Shelley may not be happily married, but she's still taken. When he finally puts his heart on the line and takes a chance, she turns him down and changes the course of their relationship. Now her husband is out of the picture, her life has been tilted on its axis through everything she's been through, and she's still desperately in love with Leo that looks right through her. Enter Julian with his solution; a Dom to introduce her to the lifestyle...who also happens to be Leo's younger brother.

I love the relationship development in these books. There's always the one man that's all in and then there's the broody one. Wolf was all in the second he laid eyes on Shelley. He knew she was the one and he's determined to make things work. He also knows that the only future they have is if his stubborn brother finally sees the light. Shelley was a wonderful heroine. She certainly gives as well as she takes. And with two Doms like Leo and Wolf, let's just say she takes a lot. Uhem.

There's also the added element of suspense with the plot against Shelley's life and plenty of action to spice things up. That made this already deliciously addicting read a quick paced page turner. Another fantastic addition in what's now become my guilty pleasure series. Huge rec if you enjoy a well written MFM.

I am HUGE Sophie Oak fan. I love her books. I was a bit surprised when I read this book and it took more than one sitting. I love Wolf and Leo and was eagerly anticipating their story. Plus, I enjoy the Bloom series for their BDSM. Specifically, I find Julian so bloody hot. His attitude, the way he runs his club and specifically his Dom-ness. (Is Dom-ness even a word?)

It was a huge shock for me to hate the first 25% of the book. I was so damn irritated. Wolf was a good guy. Leo had his head up his ass, but I could understand. Julian's manipulation drove me batty. What really killed it for me was Dani and Finn's comment when they spoke with Shelley. They perfected the art of "topping from the bottom" and implied that it's something Shelley needs to learn. Anyone who knows me, knows that this is a hot button for me. I lost all respect for Dani and Finn. I don't care to read any scenes with them in there. They lost all credibility for me in addition to undermining my belief of Julian as a good Master or Dom. I no longer think well of Julian since he lets his subs top from the bottom. Oh well, there goes this series for me.

Since it's Ms. Oak, I plowed along through, getting more and more irritated. I wanted to slap Shelley upside the head. She is too stupid to live. What is her problem? Does she really think she can protect herself or others better than four former SEAL members? Seriously, what is wrong with her? WHY is she so f-ing stupid? I nearly gave up with the book at her stupidity. How could Ms. Oak create such a dumb ass character? Was this book going to end up with a 1 star for me? Is this the end of my love affair with Ms. Oak's writing? I was very depressed at this point because I completely count on Ms. Oak to bring me out of a reading funk. She's succeeded every time before. No one is perfect.

On a side note, I did like Kitten. She really did it for me in the book. I want to learn more about her. I like her. She's pretty funny and quirky. I hope there is a story, even if it is just a novella which we can learn more about her. I can guess that she's been either tortured past a point or she saw someone tortured in a bad way. Oddly enough, I find her 3rd person reference rather charming. Perhaps it's because when I'm furious, I refer to myself in 3rd person too.

Back to the story, the writing is very well done. I mean, this is Ms. Oak. Her storyline flows. The scenes are plausible and very believable. The dialog is spot on and of course, the sex is hot. The humour is all still there. I guess perhaps I just didn't like Shelley and it killed it for me. She's the type of woman I want to really beat some sense into and despair that anything positive would result in it. What I really don't get is why a handsome duo like Leo and Wolf would want her. This is what really bugs me. Here are two awesome guys who more or less have it together. What is so attractive about Shelley? According to Shelley, she's not beautiful and her body is overweight. She doesn't have any sense of logic I can tell. She's not even a good submissive. WHY THE HELL WOULD ANY IN DEMAND DOM want to have anything to do with her? I wouldn't.

Here's another thing about Shelley. She made a mistake with her first husband. I get that. Things happen. She was in a very bad way and in a vulnerable position. I mean, she nearly got killed and also pimped out to a Mexican brothel. Now, if someone survived this horror, wouldn't she want to do something about it? Wouldn't she want to make sure she would never be in a disadvantage like this again? Apparently people like Shelley don't think that way. Had it been me, I'd have taken self defense classes and learned how to shoot a gun. Shelley - nope. She doesn't do anything except look longingly at Leo from a distance and wonder why he won't talk to her. Really? Dumb bitch - he tried to help you and you turned him down. You picked your drug dealing, money laundering abusive husband instead of the white knight in shining armour. Gee, I wonder why he doesn't want you. You stupid C.U.N.T. (As Chef Ramsey would say. Yes, he says cow, but I know he says cunt and it is just bleeped out.) I'm not even going to go into her handling of Wolf's gun. I nearly demanded, "SHELLEY MUST DIE!"

I think we have now established that I can't stand Shelley. Now you all must be wondering why the hell I still rated this as 3 star. Is it because I'm a devoted fan of Ms. Oak? Is it because I'm bias? No. Actually, the writing is probably more a 4 star because it moved me. The humour had me a 4 star. This is probably a 3.5 star book despite my abhorrence to the train wreck, Shelley. What did it for me is the last 30% of the book. Ms. Oak turned the situation around. It was so smooth. Leo's epiphany and his talk with Wolf did it for me. Even though Wolf did a dumbass thing, I still forgave him. Word to the wise, if you are going to eavesdrop, listen to the entire bloody conversation. Taking words out of context is not going to help.

I did like one line particular in the story which had me loving Ms. Oak. Leo mentions about writing a book and tells Shelley she wouldn't be a heroine because she's one of those TSTL characters. O_o I thought, "No she didn't. Did she? Did Ms. Oak just call her character TSTL? She DID! W.T.H? This is all tongue in cheek, isn't it? We ARE supposed to despise Shelley. HAH!"

What it comes down to it, Shelley is a sensor. Her strengths are her feelings, emotions and her loyalty. She wants to help others. She doesn't have the personality, attitude or mental capacity to think logically. It just isn't in her. I can't really hold it against her. I know people like this in real life. They have no common sense or logic. They are nice people and I like them. I just don't want to be involved with them because they would drive me crazy. Shelley is like that. It's neither good nor bad - just frustrating. I recommend this book to romance lovers who are okay with TSTL heroine who need not one but TWO knights in shining armour to keep her out of trouble.

This was book 6 in the "Texas Sirens" series. Shelley McNamara is tired of waiting for her new life to begin. Shelley has been an abusive marriage and watching her husband die right in front of her goes to Dallas to learn about D/s relationships and to be trained as a sub. Leo Meyer is still nursing a broken heart after a year he has closed himself off to his friends when he finds out that Julian has found a Dom to train Julian he is upset and when he finds out who he choose he is really upset. Wolf Meyer has nothing to loose by moving to Dallas and working for Julian the ranch that he was working on in Bliss was bought by Trev McNamara. When he meets Shelley in person he falls head over hills for her he and Shelley have been talking by phone and email for over a month when he finds out that she is the same woman that broke his brothers heart he begins to think that maybe they can share her. When her laptop is stolen on the train she meets a man who turns out to be the same man Steve who served in the Seals with Leo and who knew Wolf turns out Shelley has something that Steve wants and the Senator that he works for. This was a good read each one of the character's has been hurt in the past Leo who grew up fast and had to take care of his brother and Shelley by the man she married. Wolf who was hurt while serving his country all he wanted to do was to go back in but due to his injuries. Shelley had her reasons for turning Leo down but when she told him that Bryce blackmailed her into marrying him I wanted to kill him. In this book we learned more about the twin Ben and Chase Dawson Ben served with Leo and they both were seeing the same woman who was killed. When someone tries to kill Shelley they will stop at nothing to keep her safe. Shelley is a brat she doesn't listen she tries to run twice trying to save the brothers. This was a really good read this book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling I am looking forward to reading about the twins and Kitten and the kind of master she will have.

Yeah, this is a 5-star read.
__
The Texas Sirens series is cousin to the Bliss series, but I definitely prefer the latter. This particular book is one of the only Siren books I actually like.

It's sweet, funny, romantic, has well-developed characters, and a great plot. There are some great one-liners too, like when Leo informs Shelley that if she were in a romance novel, she'd be called TSTL. It's always nice when authors show self-awareness.

This is AT LEAST the second time I'm reading this book, and honestly all my rereads of Sophie Oak books just get better every time. It's only 4 stars in comparison to other Sophie Oak books; on its own merits it probably deserves 5, because there's honestly almost nothing wrong with this book.

I have been waiting for this one. Ever since I realized that Wolf and Leo were brothers. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked Shelley in this one. I didn't really form much of an opinion about her in Siren in Waiting.

My full review is to come, but I'm really loving all the cross over between the series. This definitely opens up a world of possibilities. I'm really glad to see Logan getting his act together as well. The last few Bliss books were making me mad with him.

Sophie, you still are amazing!

Oh, this is one I have been waiting for! As the Texas Sirens and the Nights in Bliss, Colorado series have been moving along, I've been wanting to see what was going to happen to resident shrink, Leo Meyer, and knew his brother, Wolf, would be involved. But SIREN IN BLOOM was just so much better than I could have imagined. Every time I'm sure I found my favorite Sophie book, a new one comes out, and I'm positive that the newest one is the best.

So, like I said before, this book is about Leo Meyer. He's the Dom-in-Residence at "The Club" which is the premier BDSM club in Dallas, TX. He is also a psychologist and he has helped some of favorite characters in the Texas Sirens series with their issues through BDSM. We haven't really seen him attracted to or with anyone until the last book. He declared his feelings to Trev McNamara's sister, Shelley, but she was married at the time. She turned him down for reasons unbeknownst to Leo, and he's been in a funk ever since. Fast forward about a year later, and that's where we find them in SIREN IN BLOOM.

Shelley's total a-hole of a husband is dead, and she's moved to Dallas to reinvent herself. She's working for The Club as an interior designer, and she's doing ok...except she can't get Leo to talk to her. She is a submissive, so the owner of The Club has set her up with a Dom long distance. They've been talking on the phone but haven't met. But since she can't have Leo, she feels like she needs to move on. What she doesn't know is that this Dom that she has been set up with is none other than Wolf Meyer, Leo's brother (see where this is going?).

Leo and his younger brother Wolf have their own problems. Their relationship hasn't exactly been brotherly. But Wolf has deep feelings for Shelley. And when he finds out that Leo does too, he feels like the best thing for them to do is to share her. Now, he just has to get Leo on board with that. Enter bad guys who try to kill Shelley, and the brothers are suddenly working hard to keep Shelley safe...and in their bed.

SIREN IN BLOOM was so fantastic in so many different ways, I'm not sure where to begin. The characters were fantastic, but I loved how I got a great blend of new and old characters, AND I got some crossover between the Texas Sirens series and Sophie Oak's other contemporary ménage series, Nights in Bliss, Colorado. With the characters crossing over like this, my mind is just spinning with the possibilities of where the two series are going to go. I was also happy to see my favorite couples of the series again, now happily in committed ménages, having families, and living their happily ever afters.

The relationship between Leo, Shelley and Wolf was not an easy one, and I think that made me like it even more. There were a lot of false starts, miscommunication and pure stubbornness that gave them some problems, but it worked out in the end. The emotions truly outweighed any of the sex between them (really, did I say that?) in my opinion and it had me connecting with them in a way I don't think I have with characters in other books. I was also impressed by the growth of Shelley's character from the previous book to this one. She really grew into her own.

The plot was great. It drew directly from the previous story, SIREN IN WAITING, and continued that drama. But amongst all of the drama, Sophie Oak writes some of the funniest scenes that you'll ever read. I won't give too much away, but I'll just say the words: butt plug and ginger lube. LOL I'm sure you get the picture. Oh and there is also a place where Leo tells Shelley that she couldn't be a heroine in a romance novel because the readers would call her Too Stupid to Live! HA, too funny--I was thinking that exact same thing at that moment. Priceless, Sophie!

SIREN IN BLOOM is the sixth book in the Texas Sirens series, and while I recommend them all (and have on several occasions), I think that if you want to read and get the most out of this story, you have to read the previous book. There is a lot of essential back story in there.

Now, this is obviously a five star read for me. I completely devoured this story, and I can't wait to get more of this series. Now, my mind is turning over and over trying to figure out who is going to be next!

Ahhhhhhhh, I've been waiting a long time for this story and it didn't disappoint. Loved Leo and Wolf and Shelley but especially Wolf. He is just such a big, lovable, teddy bear with a big tender heart. I want him.
I wasn't sure how SO was going to bring them all together but she did it. I loved how she showed big, bad dom Leo's vulnerabilities and Wolf's insecurities and Shelley's brattiness but need to protect and love and how the only way they could be whole was to be all together.
It was great as usual to see past characters but especially Julian now that he is about to be a father. He made me laugh when he said his baby can't be a girl because girls scare papa so she better grow a penis fast. Also now that he was going to be a father, he insisted that all his friends better start having babies soon so his child would have playmates. Lol
Can't wait for Chase and Ben's story and what will happen with Log
Now that I've read this book, I'm a little sad that it is over cause I want to keep reading.
Just did a re-read and love Wolf.

Sophie Oak cannot write a bad book. I LOVE that she's bringing back characters and working them very effectively into the story line but NEVER lets those characters overshadow the main characters.
Leo and Wolf are brothers. Circumstances in their life had put a rift between them but each loves the other regardless. Enter Shelley. Will she cause these two to fight over her, or for her.....

Leo, Wolf, Leo, Wolf, decisions decisions. Oh, heck I'll take both. This series is addicting. I wait and wait for the newest book and then have withdrawal symptoms until I can get my hands on the next one. The book summary has been told indepth already so all I'll say is:

Thank you Sophie!!!!! Your characters have flaws, make mistakes, don't listen, and are generally a pain in the butt but that's why they're so loveable and deserve the HEA ending you write for them.

3.5 STARS!!

I was so excited when Leo Meyer have his own story. I already set my eyes to this Dom since book #2 and #3 because he's really fun and laid-back attitude. I mean, he's the voice of reason when his boss, Julian Lodge decided to distance himself from his subs. He's an ex-Navy SEALs also work as a therapist and Dom in Residence at The Club. He has very entertaining relationship with his boss. After what's left from Siren in Waiting, he decide to walk out from Shelley's life even he already fallen for her. Leo is the one who help Shelley's brother, Trev McNamara.

Not like in the other books, Leo is struggling with himself. He's not fun & flirty anymore because his feeling on for Shelley. When Julian decided to bring Shelley to The Club and paired her with Dom, Leo couldn't hold himself but didn't act either. He just shrugged it off like he didn't care. Despite his didn't-care attitude, jealousy eat him alive. I know how hard-ass Leo could be but he's one of my favorite Doms in this series.

Shelley already left her old life behind. After what happened with her death husband and his involvement with mafia and drugs, she decided to move on and explore her sexual through BDSM with a Dom from Julian's. But she couldn't just forget Leo. He haunted Shelley all the time but she couldn't forgive herself for drove him away. Sometimes I hated her because she's pretend to be strong. When some danger approach and try to take her life, she is difficult to deal with. She didn't think ahead and plainly egoist without discuss it any further.

Wolf Meyer isn't really welcome by Leo. They have some misunderstanding the past but never talk about it. When he set his eyes on Shelley, he took care of her very deeply. Leo know Shelly already fallen for this brother but he hope Shelley could accept him too and they could have menage relationship. Well, it isn't easy as his thought until the threat for Shelley and her brother's nightmare comes back. I thought Wolf is the brooding and hard man in this relationship, but apparently not. He's more relax than Leo right now. He could joke and be serious in another. He's really enjoyed the moment with Shelley and Leo although sometimes he could be self-sacrificing bastard.

Their relationship is quite difficult. Leo and Wolf are sibling with strained relationship. Both of them want Shelley and vice versa. Communication always the problem in all relationship. They have strong chemistry towards each other. I enjoyed when Leo and Wolf in Dom mode and they have very filthy mouth. Rawr! Well, everybody has flaws. Despite my issues towards Shelley and a wee bit for Leo, I feel pity for Shelley because it seemed trouble always follow her. Her death husband made her conflict of interest but luckily for Shelley, Meyer brothers wouldn't give up. Overall I liked and very entertaining how they pushed boundaries with Shelley.

*The funny part is Leo and Wolf's full name. LMAO! But bravo to Sophie Oak who made their name like a real Alpha male.*

Siren in Bloom is classic Sophie Oak. Expect to laugh and cry, and to fall in love with some great characters.

This is the second in the Texas Sirens/Bliss, Colorado crossovers. Wolf Meyer and Logan Green, former Bliss residents, have arrived in Dallas, Texas at The Club. Logan is there to work through his issues with Leo, the club psychologist, and Wolf is there to meet Shelley, the woman he intends to take as his submissive. What Wolf doesn't know is that Julian has been playing matchmaker again, and that Shelley and his brother Leo have a past that isn't completely settled.

It's good to be back at The Club again. We get to catch up with all the former Texas Sirens trios and are introduced to some new characters. Kitten steals the show as a submissive who plays the role to the extreme. Ben and Chase Dawson, the private investigators from Siren Beloved, are the super hot Doms assigned to watch over her.

Siren in Bloom is a wonderful addition to the Sophie Oak collection.

Sophie Oak continues to get better with each book as far as I'm concerned. I loved this one. Leo and Wolf are great. Shelley has enough self confidence that she doesn't put up with as much as she did when you first met her. (which was in another story).
Both Leo and Wolf try to make the ultimate scarifice but it is nipped in the bud really fast which is nice and not have a long drawn out wait for the HEA. Well written, good story, great characters.

Quote the I just loved made me laugh when I read it!
Julian walked over to the first dead guy, staring down with unabashed fascination. "Do you know how long it's been since I had to deal with corpses? It's been ages. I almost felt...legitimate." He said the word with a shudder. "You never kill anyone anymore, Leo. And Ben and Chase are far too lazy. Wolf, you're my new favorite. You get an extra waffle tomorrow morning."

I flipin' love this series. I feel like I've been waiting forever for Leo's story, and it was every bit as good as all that anticipation had me imagining.

I loved seeing everyone again -
Julian has to be one of my all time favorite characters, and he was in true manipulative form for this book.

I loved Wolf too. We got to know him some in the Bliss series, and I think this was the perfect triad for him.

Off to read Ben and Chase's book! Can't wait to find out more about them.

Shelley spent her whole life looking after the people she loves, she was blackmailed into marriage to protect her mother, she did everything she could to help her brother through his drug and alcohol dependence and she walked away from the man she loved to keep him safe from her dangerous and abusive husband. Now that her husband is dead she is finally ready to move on with her life and when Leo makes it clear he's not willing to give her a second chance she realises that she's going to have to let him go and find a future with someone else.

Wolf is Leo's brother but when he agrees to train Shelley has his new sub he had no idea that she had previously been involved with his brother. By the time he finds out about Shelley and Leo's history it's too late and he's already started falling in love with her himself. But Wolf was raised in Bliss so he doesn't see anything wrong with sharing Shelley with Leo, in fact he has spent years wishing for a closer relationship with his brother and feeling hurt that Leo keeps him at arm's length, so he decides to do whatever it takes to bring the three of them together.

Leo has loved Shelley for years but was heartbroken when she rejected him, instead choosing to stay with a husband that emotionally abused her. The attraction he feels towards her is still there but he's scared of letting her get close in case she hurts him again so instead he remains determined to keep his distance. That suddenly seems a lot harder when he sees Shelley start to fall in love with someone else though and when Wolf asks him to help fulfil her wildest fantasies he finds it very difficult to say no.

Leo and Wolf have been regular recurring characters throughout the Texas Sirens and Nights in Bliss series so I can't tell you how excited I was to finally get my hands on their story. I already really liked Shelley (we got to see quite a bit of her in her brother Trev's book Siren in Waiting) and if anyone deserves to find happiness after everything they've been through it has to be her. I really enjoyed seeing how these three finally ended up coming together. It's funny because Leo is a psychologist who is excellent at diagnosing others and helping them find love but when it comes to his own relationship he is a stubborn disaster. I enjoyed seeing Julian pulling strings to try and bring them all together and really liked how open Wolf was about his desires and wish to create a family for the three of them.

As with all the books in this series there was plenty of heat and this triad had fabulous chemistry as well as a much deeper connection. There was also a sense of danger as both Shelley and Leo's past starts to catch up with them and they find themselves under attack. We get to see a lot of familiar faces as most of the story is set at The Club run by Julian Lodge and I just genuinely enjoy spending time in this world with all of these characters.

Siren in Bloom is the newest book in the Texas Sirens series, and it is just as amazing as everything before it.

Leo and Wolf have been characters who sparked my interest in other books they've been featured in by this author, but getting to read their own book was worth waiting for.

They were so different from each other, despite being brother's, but they were both absolutely fantastic characters. Wolf was funny and yet self conscious and strong willed and just so many surprising things rolled into one. Leo was highly intelligent but closed off and while also strong, he was in need of the right people to soften and open him up. And bringing Shelley into the mix brought everything together as it should be. Her past with her ex was one that was pretty much nightmare inducing. But she was determined to find herself again and the love of the Meyer brothers was a dream she deserved but wasn't sure she could ever make a reality.

Reading this book made me want a re-read of the Texas Sirens and the Nights in Bliss series just to spend more time with these characters. Plus I'll need something to tide me over until the next book releases. This one is a must read.

“I would rather take a bullet than have you rip my heart out, baby.”

Siren in Bloom by Lexi Blake is filled to the brim with so much emotion, heart, and passion. It was so great to dive back into this world and rediscover the amazing connection between Leo, Shelley, and Wolf. This ménage is probably one of my favorites of the series. Wolf and Leo have a strained relationship as brothers, but it’s Shelley who ultimately brings these two back together, giving them a stronger bond than ever before. In turn, Leo and Wolf helps Shelley find her inner strength and beauty. The love they have for her, brings out the love she eventually finds in herself. This beautiful journey took me by surprise even though I’ve read it before. The new content was great and I love finding new gems that I may have missed the first go-round. If you are looking for a great romantic suspense laced with eroticism, beauty, and humor, you MUST read this book…you MUST read this entire series! Trust me, you will NOT be disappointed!

What can I say to do this book justice? Well, this is Texas Sirens 6, and it’s the best yet and that’s a big call because this series is already fabulous. Texas Sirens is one of the best series out there, irrespective of genre. I love ‘Nights in Bliss, Colorado’ but I adore Texas Sirens.

This time the Meyer brothers, Leo and Wolf, get the 'girl', Shelley McNamara, Trev's sister, and it's been a while coming, especially for Leo.

Shelley is still being dogged by her deceased husband’s criminal legacy. She is also missing contact with Leo, who she grew close to when Trev was working through substance abuse problems. Leo couldn’t stand Shelley’s scumlord husband, Bryce, and offered to take her away, Shelley declined. This book lets us in on exactly what went down, why Leo picked up his bat and ball and went home hurt and has remained distant. In the meantime, Wolf has been getting to know Shelley, at Julian Lodge’s evil, meddling behest, through emails and is raring to meet her and be her Dom, unaware that his brother has a ‘history’ with Shelley.

Leo and Wolf have not been close for a while and getting them together and sharing the woman they both love, who is in danger, is the main premise. Of course, because the two brothers are not on the best of terms, there are misunderstandings, there is a bad guy, there’s appropriate drama and obligatory SO shootings. Plus there is a butthead politician, sexy guys in the background, aka Ben and Chase, and Logan with his problems from his time as Deputy Sheriff in Bliss. Not to mention the fabulously kooky, pain slut, Kitten, who speaks in third person, loved her.

Siren in Bloom has a more ambitious style, in that there are quite a few storylines/characters being addressed or brought more to the fore, and it's done beautifully. The MC's are never overrun by the other characters, they're perfectly complimented.

Julian Lodge is a stand out in this book, for mine, his lines are clever, witty and impeccably written. After Leo/Wolf/Shelley's 'punishment scene' didn't quite work out in The Club, and Julian was none too happy, particularly when Leo told him not to pitch a fit Julian replied -

"Fit? Fit, Leo? You were supposed to publicly punish your submissive who created complete chaos with her disobedience. You were not supposed to allow her to turn into the BDSM version of Spartacus".

I’m not a quote junkie but between Julian, Leo and Logan, alone, I could have littered this review with lots of them, but I refrained.

I am, however, a character and characterization fanatic/obsessive. I want characters to be well written and psychologically appropriate. I laud any writer who can write a book let alone a series and keep their characters en pointe. I would implore aspiring writers to read Sophie Oak for her brilliant characterizations, not to mention her character-appropriate comedic writing. Her characters never devolve, they either stay true or slowly develop into what you know at heart is who they should be. Take Leo and Wolf, they are pitch perfect here, Leo as his Dom, psychotherapist self, Wolf as his crazy big hearted alpha but flexible, softy persona. Also, Ben and Chase, they have popped up previously, but in SiB more is revealed and it is just right. Their in-sync, twin bond is still there, Chase’s snarky, paranoid, stay off the grid mentality is ramped up just enough, and a little more is revealed of Ben’s past that makes his always potentially sensitive-self peak out. Then there’s Logan, he is perfect as the young guy who doesn’t want therapy but he’s appropriate to character - not rude about it - but is always trying to say it’s not necessary and does everything he can to ‘prove’ he’s a guy and he’s OK. That’s what happens in real life more often than not.

I must not leave without mentioning the love of my life, Jack Barnes. He makes a few appearances here and the speech he made to Leo about not giving up on someone you love had me so happy *sighs*.

If you love Sophie Oak you truly need to add this to your must read list, if you haven’t had the pleasure of reading one of her books, give it a go. You can read the books out of order, and there is certainly enough information in the book to catch you up but, seriously, read the whole series it’s a joy.

Sophie Oak is the Goddess of Menage. I bow to her mastery of the double dicked dance.

I waited until I got my chores done like a good girl before diving into this novel. I knew...rightly so...that I wouldn't be able to put it down.

Shelly is our heroine this time around. She has pined for the Dom shrink in residence at The Club for years. We do get some background, so if you have a horrid memory like me you will be able to follow with the class without a total series re-read. Wolf and Leo (Dom Shrink), are our heros. They are the son's of Mel's new woman.

My favorite part...the high-five after a scene in the dungeon. So awesome. I loved Wolf's sense of humor and his resiliency. Some may find the emotional problems solved a little easily, but personally I like a world where the ones with the most rope and butt plugs come out on top. Even if they sometimes do it from the bottom. ;p

The scenes between our trio were great. If you are trying to jump in on this series, all the talk about getting in trouble with their mom for not sharing...during sex...might seem odd. Their mom lives in Bliss. That is all the explanation you should need. And if you don't know where Bliss is you aren't my friend.

I could go on...but in the end it's another book that makes me realize why I love this author. 5 stars.

Psychologist Leo Meyer was once in love with Shelley McNamara, but she was married, and when her husband threatened Leo, she refused to see him again. Now Shelley's a widow, looking to explore BDSM at The Club, but Leo wants nothing to do with her. Instead, club owner Julian Lodge arranges for Shelley to be paired up with Wolf Meyer, Leo's brother.

Leo has been a fixture in the previous Texas Sirens books, so it's good to see him finally finding love of his own. The Leo-Shelley-Wolf relationship is complex, but Oak/Blake knows her way around a good menage story, even when her characters don't. The suspense plot, about the bad guys thinking Shelley had the material her husband was using to blackmail them, was suspenseful, with the solution being very clever.

Took a while to finish due to life but it was a good one. I am starting to confuse people so might take a break but I loved getting to know Ben, Chase and Kitten. Wolf was the most amazing human, and leo was sort of all over the place. Shelly is the brattiest Sub ever but it works for her! 3/5 because things were a bit more complicated than necessary.

Siren in Bloom started out a full 5 star read for me and started to lose stars for sheer aggravation, while gaining them back for sheer fun. I absolutely love Sophie Oak's quirky charactarization. Julian in particular (from Siren Enslaved) shined in this one - the manipulative but lovable king of his castle. We have met all three of the main characters in previous Sophie Oak books, Shelley and Leo from the Siren series and Wolf from Bliss. I particularly enjoyed the coming together of the two series and the way Ms. Oak has deftly begun to weave them together. There is BDSM in this story, but it is pretty mild and well integrated into the story line.

Back to the aggravations. All three main protagonists did stupid things in the name of "protecting" or "sacrificing for" one or both of the other two. This got old quickly. Shelley did a typical TSTL heroine move almost getting herself killed, while Leo and Wolf kept stepping aside for each other in the name of brotherly love. For me this pattern acheived the height of annoyance when one of my least favorite plot devices was used. The ol' "hear part of a conversation, completely misinterpret it because it was out of context, don't stick around to hear the rest, and run off making stupid - supposedly generous - sacrifices in response". It was difficult at times for me to see Wolf as a dominant alpha male while at the same time he is such an insecure little brother trying to make Leo proud of him. It was a very interesting dichotomy which was sometimes more succesful than others.

That is it for aggravations, I still greatly enjoyed the story because I cared about the characters. IMO, this is one of Sophie Oak's major talents, we really care about her characters and want them to find their HEA. Having gotten to know Shelley, Leo, and Wolf from prior books, I was very invested and interested in their happiness. I recommend Siren in Bloom to anyone who enjoys Sophie Oak's rich character driven, and happily sexy, novels.

Sirens In Bloom by Lexi Blake aka Sophie Oak is a sexy, steamy and slightly suspenseful romance that throws a menage into the mix that consist of two brothers and one woman. This book was another great installment to the series and most can definitely be read as a standalone full of hot chemistry.

Shadow's review posted on Guilty Pleasures

The more I read Sophie Oak’s books, the better I like them. She has become a must read for me and her most recent effort, Siren in Bloom sparkles with her wit and great characterizations.

She manages to combine humor with angst, and a rousing good story with hot sex. Who can ask for more? The siren in bloom is Shelley, who was married to a drug dealing thug. When she met Leo, the Club Dom and resident psychologist at The Club, they both fell for each other. However, she had just discovered the depth of her husband’s depravity and was afraid for Leo, so she sent him away. Leo went, but did not take the rejection well. Now Shelley has moved to Dallas and wants to explore the BDSM lifestyle.

Julian, owner of the Club, has an idea of how to fix things and brings in Leo’s brother, Wolf, to train Shelley in the art of submission-and puts a reluctant Leo in charge of both of them. Wolf has fallen for Shelley through her e-mails and phone calls, and it is love at first sight for both of them.

But Shelley’s husband has left her a legacy she is unaware of-in the form of blackmail tapes, and someone wants those tapes.

Can Leo and Wolf regain their bond as brothers and save Shelley? And can the three of them overcome their pasts to cobble together a family?

The story contains bondage, light spanking, and some other BDSM elements, but they are just part of the story, not the main theme.

Yes, I am a Sophie Oak junkie. So therefore, I love all of the Texas Siren and Bliss series. And I have waited a loooong time for Leo's story. The combination of Leo and his brother Wolf is perfect, and Shelley is the right fit inbetween them. Shelley is a little brat spitfire, who doesn't let them get away with walking away from her once she has finally made up her mind that they are all she wants. Wolf is moving in with Leo after leaving Bliss, and he has no idea the woman he has been talking to is Shelley, the love of Leo's life. But once he puts the pieces together, he plots to make sure that they all 3 start their family together. Of course, in true Oak fashion someone from the past is back to cause trouble. Someone gets kidnapped and/or shot at, but there is always someone on hand to do the rescuing. All the Texas bunch make an appearance and Julian is in his usual form of controlling behind the scenes. Logan has moved to Dallas with Wolf so he can get help with his issues from Leo, so his storyline is still in the making. Loved it!

Master - that’s not something Shelley McNamara would have expected herself to want to say or to experience as a submissive-in-training given her backstory with an abusive husband and her lack of self-esteem, but that’s exactly where she hopes to rediscover the woman she had once hoped to be and with the right Dom, perhaps she’ll feel freer than she’s ever felt - both as a sexual being and as a woman.

What’s most interesting about the dynamics between the three main characters is that there’s a less than stellar history for all involved, and it’s those hurt feelings and past experiences that pose the biggest problem for anything of significance developing between Shelley and the two Doms who can easily claim her heart as well as her body.

The wildcard in this entire situation, at least in my opinion, is Leo Meyer because he already laid his heart on the line when it comes to his feelings for Shelley and regardless of the fact that it was poor timing back then due to her martial status, Leo put himself out there and was rejected so being burned another time is not something that he wants to experience and now that Leo’s younger brother, Wolf, is in the picture, things are bound to be even more tenuous, which doesn’t bode well for this would be trio.

There are quite a few meddlers from the club - ones who push one or all of the main characters and/or offer advice regardless of its appropriateness or its helpfulness, and even though some of what was said and done was questionable, it shows how much the community cares for its members and the lengths they’re willing to go to, to help some of their own.

Like most of Sophie Oak’s other books, there’s aspects of suspense and action strewn throughout the pages of Siren in Bloom, and the fact that Shelley’s life is threatened brings these three characters closer together seeming to solidify just how good they are together, even if it’s taken them a bit to get things right.

I love when there’s a crossover between series because it’s always fun to catch up with past characters and watch them interact with ones just introduced, and readers experience those connections in Siren in Bloom, making it even more of an enjoyable read.

I have been waiting for this book since Leo Meyer, the Dom in residence at The Club was first introduced in the series. There is something about him that truly fascinated me. When I leant that his book would also be about Shelley McNamara and his brother Wolf I was so excited (I am equally enthralled by Wolf as I am Leo). I imagined that these two brothers when they could agree on something or someone, would be a powerful combination and one that would be hard to ignore.
Leo has the perfect well ordered life, without emotional attachments to the submissives he trains, little does he know that his life is about to explode. Escaping a bitter past, Shelly comes to the club to heal and hopefully find what is missing in her life. She had blossoming feelings for Leo and would love to exploration the potential but is too shy. When Wolf decides to try and reconnect with his brother Leo, he accepts a job at The Club; his first assignment is to train Shelley McNamara.
Shelley develops feelings for Wolf as well and finds herself torn between the two brothers, however when danger rears it’s head Leo and Wolf must put aside their feelings to protect Shelley. Can Leo and Wolf work together to save Shelley or will their past relationship get in the way?
There were times when I laughed, I cried and I worried that Leo, Wolf and Shelley would not be able to get the happily ever after that they all so richly deserved. I really enjoy Ms.Oak (Lexi Blake’s) style of writing and Siren In Bloom was one of those reads I could not put down.
Although Siren In Bloom is not a long read, I found myself reading well into the night. There was romance, danger and suspense woven into the story and the scenes were smoking hot.

Siren in Bloom by Sophie Oak

This was another winner in this series. With all the teasing glimpses of Leo in the other books, his story is one I was looking forward to reading. I enjoyed this story and Ms. Oak didn’t skimp on showing us characters for her new books. There were a couple of scenes that I think were overwhelmed with characters from the previous books so I would recommend reading this series in order. I’m also looking forward to Chase and Ben’s story. Chase in particular… “I’m perfectly satisfied with every one of my psychological disorders.”

This story did not concentrate solely on Leo’s point of view but added in equal measure Shelley’s who was introduced in ‘Siren in Waiting’ and Leo’s brother Wolf who I new very little about. These three fit together beautifully like interlocking pieces in a puzzle. This story not only gifted Shelley with two men to love but also brought together Leo and Wolf whose relationship was not the closest of brothers.

The funny lines were not as prevalent I think in this story as in the other books but there were a few that rated…

My favorite Dom in this series to date is Julian and he is still as funny as ever…

“And then I gave away everything to charity. This is our last day in The Club. It’s being taken over by the Society for Smarter Butterflies.”

“No. This child is going to obey me not some sonogram.” He got down and spoke directly to his wife’s belly. “You will be a boy. Girls scare Papa. Grow a penis and quickly.”

If Julian were to write a book… “The Dom’s Guide to Maternal Discipline or Getting Your Freak on With Child.”>

Leo…
“If you high-five her, I swear I’ll punch you.”

"Seeking candy-ass Dom who will take sub under his wing and into his heart?"

Wolf…
“You can learn a lot from books. College is nothing but having a guide to reading the right books.”

“Her name is Mine, asshole.”

“Sorry, Kitten. I have a sub. And the name is Wolf. Wolf Meyer. Though I do go by Mine where Shelley is concerned.”

And the names are explained…
“Wolf sighed beside him. “Our mom liked artists. She liked painters and composers. I was named after Mozart. Leonardo there was named after da Vinci. If she’d gotten knocked up again, we would have had a Giuseppe because she loved Verdi. I am so grateful she didn’t. We would have been defending that kid every day on the playground. Ma didn’t get that names are important when it comes to avoiding an ass kicking. Though I would probably be less tough if she’d named me Nick or Jake.”

You know after the last book I was waiting for something to happen with Leo and Shelley. I get why Shelley pushed Leo away and why Leo was done, even if I didn't like it. I could tell right away what Julian was up to, but thought it would back fire on him or at least end up hurting one of the parties in a big way. I didn't expect that Wolf would use the opportunity that Julian gave him to get closer to his brother.

I really liked Wolf and Shelley's relationship, there was a playful component to it that made me laugh. Of course Wolf still managed to pull out his Dom and put Shelley in her place when she needed it. I loved that from the start Wolf did what he could to bring Leo into their relationship.

I found the trouble that Shelley and Leo found themselves in to be a bit boring. The best part of it was how so many of the past characters were pulled in allowing for some great group scenes where the Doms worked to get the bad buy.

I loved it when Shelley pitched her fit towards the end. I thought it needed to be done, that the big bad Dom needed to be taken down a peg because he did the one thing that he promised he wouldn't, hurt her. I especially loved that she had people around her that supported her tantrum.

A new character shows up in this one, Kitten. I am torn with her, actually hated her at first. It annoys me that she talks about herself in the third person, that she had no boundaries at all and needs a keeper. But, and it is a big one, I realized that she does this on purpose. When the shit started to hit the fan she came through in a big way. So now I find myself intrigued by her, I want to know what happened to her that made her that way. I have a feeling it will be interesting to say the least.

Another tense part of the book was Wolf getting Logan to admit he was not fine. I loved Logan from the Nights in Bliss series, hated what he had to go through. Once again I find myself laughing at the BDSM therapy, but that is beside the point. The scene that Wolf set up had my heartbreaking. I knew no one was really getting hurt, but from Logan's perspective it had to be his own personal hell, but one he needed to walk thru. I look forward to seeing Logan back to being himself with Leo's help.

What do you get when you take Leo from the Texas Siren series and Wolf from the Nights in Bliss series and throw them together in one book with sassy, sweet, and submissive Shelley? A truly awesome book!

This book might just be my all time favorite from any of Ms Oak's series, so far. I loved this book. The past few books I've read by Sophie Oak, I really enjoyed but I just didn't feel a great connection with the story. She completely made up for it with this one. We got to learn more about smoking hot, funny, and sweet Wolf and then charming, sexy, but stubborn Leo. And, as brothers are wont to do, we got to watch them battle it out with each other and with spunky Ms Shelley. Since the book was based inside The Club, we were able to see and hear about the characters from the previous books. Julian was back in full form and was so great. The dash of suspense was perfectly mixed in while not being overwhelming. I must say that I loved the scene on the 14th floor.

This book kind of works as a stand-alone but I really recommend reading the series. If you're in a rush, you need to at least read Siren in Waiting as Leo and Shelley first meet there. This book does fill in a lot of what happened but you get more of the feelings reading it firsthand. Plus, I recommend reading the entire series anyway because it's just a great series.

Looking forward, I'm not sure who I am hoping will be in the next book. Kitten is a hoot, but I can't see her carrying a book. I'm not sure Logan will be ready for his story yet. Chase and Ben? Yeah, I'm thinking Chase and Ben. Twins, anyone?

This one felt shorter than the others, but maybe it's because I sort of blew through it. I loved that Sophie wrote a TSTL heroine (sort of) and then one of the guys calls her TSTL during the story, lol! I mean really... I can understand wanting to protect those you love, but seriously? You have two SEALs who want to get nekkid with you and at least two more on staff, and you still think you need to go martyr yourself to keep them safe? Duh! At the same time, I loved how manipulative Julian was. :-) I loved that he knew Leo wouldn't train Shelley -- and why -- so he recruits Leo's brother for the job. Wolf feels sort of like a fuck up, and I'm not sure there was really a good resolution for that. Sure, Leo told him to stop talking like he's dumb, but I don't know that they ever really had a heart-to-heart and Wolf realized that Leo really didn't consider him a fuck up. Or maybe I missed it. Like I said, I blew through it. Which means it was fun, it was engaging, and yup... sexy. I mean come on... two SEALs? One of whom Shelley almost turned down because he looked too perfect. I'm thinking Leo was kinda like that, too. In previous books, he always seemed kind of imposing and impenetrable, but this book made him more human. Oh, and I wanted to SMACK Wolf really hard with his initial jewelry choice. Argh! Men and their selective hearing. Sheesh!

Anyhoo... I wonder who we'll get next... Ben and Chase? Someone partnered with Logan? This one was definitely enjoyable, though for me, maybe not as enjoyable as the others so far. Still obviously good. :-) Hey... it's Sophie Oak!
