The best part of shoujo manga? Getting to see a visual on hotties (and having fluffy feelings).

Miko, a high school girl, moves into boarding house with a bunch of young adult professionals.
This is a borderline three-star book for me because I like the art, the scenes between Miko and the women in the boarding house, and her desire to adapt and fit into this new setting. But her focus quickly settles on the temperamental book cover designer who presses her into service to teach him what girls find to be cute. Teenage girl crushing on twentysomething man. I never know if these sort of books are intended for a teen girl audience dreaming of a mature man or mature men with statutory rape fantasies. I'm left uneasy because when I have come across titles like this in the past, the couple always ends up getting together, which, ewwww.
I have two more volumes waiting for me at the library, and I'll read them hoping the story is going in a different direction than what I'm dreading.

Ho iniziato a leggere manga da circa un mese e quindi non mi sento assolutamente in grado di fare una recensione completa e soddisfacente (non che con i libri mi riesca, ma in quel caso l'esperienza mi aiuta a illudermi di poter mantenere una parvenza di professionalità).
Fatta la dovuta premesse e per non limitarmi a dire "mi è piaciuto/non mi è piaciuto" mi aiuterò con il cawpile review system (rivisto) valutando a parte varie le categorie.
Personaggi: 4/5, Sicuramente il punto di forza del manga, ben caratterizzati e interessanti. Forse per la prima volta in un manga devo ammettere di aver preferito i personaggi secondari ai principali.
Atmosfera/ambientazione: 3.5/5 nonostante l’ambientazione sia piuttosto ordinaria (la trama si dipana quasi interamente nella share house), la casa diventa un safe place anche per il lettore (bellissimi i messaggi alla lavagna).
Stile: 3.5/5 tavole piacevoli e dialoghi ben scritti e scorrevoli.
Trama: 4/5 molto lineare nonostante le sottotrame degli altri personaggi. Le relazioni sono sviluppate talmente bene sin da subito che non si sente poi il bisogno di grandi divagazioni, scorre tutto in modo molto naturale.
Intrattenimento: 4.5/5 il finale dei volumi è ILLEGALE, terminano tutti con cliffhanger e se nei primi voli non pesa moltissimo a partire dal quarto diventa una vera tortura.
Puno di forza, come avevo previsto sin dall’inizio, il found family che si crea tra gli abitanti della sharehouse; non a caso il finale mi ha fatta commuovere.
Menzione d’onore a gatta Sobako, i suoi pov magnifici.

Eeeeeeeeee! I think this is going to be one of my new favourite manga titles!! It reminds me of a slightly more ‘grown up’ version of Dreamin’ Sun which I adore!!!
Plus the title character is HOT and very swoon-worthy!!! I feel like a teenager again! HA!

If for a moment you could forget that the protagonist was only 16, a mere school child, then you’d find this manga infinitely more enjoyable. Unfortunately, you can’t forget that huge fact because it was constantly stated in the manga by none other than the male love interest himself.
The protagonist’s young age was also apparent due to her characterisation. Her uncertainty, her lack of confidence, her naïveté, and the way she would blush at every small thing all screamed of her childishness. She did have a great amount of drive for which she was rightfully lauded, but her version of working hard consisted of 1. making curry, and 2. doing the laundry, ad nauseum.
The plot was quite repetitive in that sense. We saw the protagonist make curry and do the laundry at least 4 times and the majority of the plot took place within the house. The few times the protagonist and the love interest ventured outside it was only them two alone. I’m pretty sure none of the other characters existed outside of the house like it had to be some sort of base surrounded by infinite space on all sides.
However, the interactions were still interesting. The male love interest was hyperbolic in his reactions and aggressively shouty but in a well-meaning and funny way. They made the conversations worthwhile and more of a joy to read.
To return to the elephant in the manga, the age gap wasn’t skirted around. Whilst the love interest’s age is never specified, he was clearly quite a bit older than the protagonist. So thankfully, it was nice to see that he never pushed himself onto the protagonist. If anything, she, in her infinite youthful wisdom, kept blushing and making every little moment a big deal so that her inner monologue was her constantly freaking out all the time over nothing. She was the one with a crush here and he was just an adult man going about his life, albeit sometimes shirtless. Nothing of serious consequence actually happened—yet. I’m sure as the storyline progresses in later vols we’ll have time enough to turn around and label it as problematic, but at this stage, it was technically still above board, and enjoyable enough.

I can easily see this series being addictive! LOL!
It's fast paced and kept me wanting to read rather than put it down to do something I NEEDED to do.
Reading this manga apparently became my NEEDED thing to do though. LOL!
This was a fun first volume! It's more "adult" than what I usually read, but it has such a fun, lively atmosphere in the story that's it hard to walk away from the story. I really really enjoyed it!
Miko is SUPER adorable!! I found her growing feelings for Matsunaga VERY sweet! Also, Matsunaga is an interesting character. I agree with Miko that he isn't as scary as I thought he would be based on the preview I had read a few weeks ago.
I really liked her fellow "roomies." It was so much fun seeing them all together!
Overall, I feel I'm hooked! LOL! Looking forward to diving into volume two!

DNF'd after volume 2 - I'm not fundamentally opposed to an age gap romance but the way the other adults in this series react to it and encourage it is a little weird imo and the romance and characters are not compelling enough for me to want to continue on.

Sesekali baca komik kayak beginian nggak papa. Tapi kalau sering-sering, jadi eneg juga. Hehehee...
Kayaknya 10 tahun terakhir ini Share House emang udah jadi biasa ya, di Jepang sono. Apa ya bedanya share house sama kos-kosan?
Ngomong-ngomong, baca tentang share house, jadi inget dorama 9 tahun lalu yang dimainin sama Mas Nishikido Ryo, Mas Eita, Ueno Juri, Nagasawa Masami, dan Mizukawa Asami. Dulu lumayan suka sama doramanya, karena dark-dark gimana, gitu.... Kelam-kelam khasnya orang Jepang, lah... Sayang, kayaknya sekarang dorama Jepang udah nggak ada yang semenarik dulu. Hiks. (Apa karena nggak lagi ngikutin aja, ya... Hahaha)
Tapi komik tentang share house yang satu ini nggak kelam, kok. Malah berwarna pink cerah, mendekati pink jablay. Kisahnya tentang siswi SMA bernama Miiko yang harus tinggal di rumah pamannya, karena orang tuanya harus ngurus neneknya (alasan yang aneh, ya... Tapi mungkin karena rumahnya sempit, jadi si anak harus tinggal sama pamannya). Nah, pamannya ini adalah juragan kosan, eh maksudnya rumahnya dijadikan share house gitu. Isinya ada tiga lelaki dan tiga perempuan (sama si Miiko). Salah satunya si Matsunaga-san ini, yang jadi judul komiknya. Si Matsunaga ini adalah desainer berusia 27 tahun, alias 10 tahun lebih tua dari si Miiko.
Komiknya belum habis, sih. Cuman, yah, udah ketebak lah ya. Dari judulnya aja udah begitu. Nggak tau sih, ini udah baca sampai volume berapa. Mungkin dua, kali ya. Kalau di manga onlinenya baru sampai chapter 7 sih soalnya.... Ceritanya manis, karakternya manis, tapi nggak bikin penasaran. Ya, lumayan lah buat nambah-nambahin target baca Goodreads... #eh

Esta historia la leí hace ya algunos años por scan y me hace muy feliz por fin tener la posibilidad de tenerla en físico en mi librero. Releer Matsunaga es como regresar a aquella niña de 14 años que amaba los shoujos con todo su kokoro y que ahora que tiene casi 27 se ha reencontrado con historias maravillosas de esta demografía que siempre ha sido de su predilección.
Ver como Miiko tiene que enfrentarse a una ciudad, un mundo nuevo lejos de su madre y conoce un grupo de personas bastante diferentes entre si que conviven en una misma casa es genial. Matsunaga es un protagonista muy explosivo, pero es un chico que se preocupa mucho por todas las personas que quiere y tiene un lado protector con nuestra prota que es muy cuqui de ver.
Amo a Sabako (la gata adoptada de la casa) y confieso que fue la verdadera razón por la que le dí una oportunidad a esta historia en primer lugar.
Ya quiero seguir reencontrándome con lo que sigue de esta historia.
Ver como Miiko tiene que enfrentarse a una ciudad, un mundo nuevo lejos de su madre y conoce un grupo de personas bastante diferentes entre si que conviven en una misma casa es genial. Look I know the guy doesn’t do anything and her crush is pretty much one-sided, but she’s literally a minor. She’s 17 and he’s 27, that’s wild and mad uncomfortable.

The 10-year gap (her 17 to his 27) was a bit icky to start with, but when he was acting quite honourably with respects to her age, my heart fluttered.
The final volume or two revealed some troubling aspects though, where their lack of clear communication lead to a lot of hurt and misunderstandings. I detested that, because on the whole, I loved the pacing and the slow-burn aspect of their relationship. There were lots of nuanced expressions, space for emotions to be aired and understood, and it was so sweet. The OM and OW stuff was a bit annoying, but understandable given their circumstances.
And while the epilogue was satisfying, it felt a bit rushed. Forgive my spoiler-filled rant, but
If it weren't for all that unnecessary cliché, I think that this would've been among my favourite shoujo manga.

Едновременно модерно и страшно класическо шоджо (артът, например, е малко като от средата на 90-те или там някъде). Всичко е предимно медено-захарно, съвсем-съвсем "каваи". Главната героиня не е от тези по калъп, които закъсняват за училище и тичат по улицата с намазана препечена филийка, слава богу. Но е някак бездушна, аз поне не успявам да я усетя добре, персонажът може би не е съвсем развит, както си трябва. За сметка на това, обаче, Мацунага няма грешка.
И, бога ми, това тяхното къри чаааак толкова лесно ли се готви, дявол го взел... Всяка по-непохватна и миличка аниме/манга героиня има Силата на кърито в себе си, а като вземат да дискутират рецептата с милионите продукти и етапи на готвене, лошо ти става... да взема и аз да пробвам...
И, бога ми, това тяхното къри чаааак толкова лесно ли се готви, дявол го взел... Всяка по-непохватна и миличка аниме/манга героиня има Силата на кърито в себе си, а като вземат да дискутират рецептата с милионите продукти и етапи на готвене, лошо ти става... да взема и аз да пробвам...

The story
Miku left her parents' house to live with her uncle, who runs a shared household, but her first meeting with Matsunaka-san was not good at all. . After that, she discovered that she had become one of her uncle's tenants in the shared house, and found herself surrounded by adults whose lives were different from her own.

I adored this! First of all, the main character Meeko is straight up adorable. I just want to pinch her cheeks! I love the different personalities of all of the people living in this boarding house and how they all come together. I also loved the relationship between Matsunaga and Meeko. It's really sweet and has some funny moments.
I can't wait to read the next volume!

Molto carino! I disegni mi piacciono tanto, così come i protagonisti.
Ci sono stati dei passaggi un po' frettolosi, o fatti percepire male nello scorrere del tempo, ma alla fine Miko è una liceale e quindi ci sta!

Ich LIEBS!
Band 1 konnte mich restlos begeistern und mitreißen.
Ich freue mich einfach darauf bald weiterzulesen.
Ich liebe den Zeichenstil und die Charaktere.
Der Artstyle ist feiner, klarer, etwas sharper, aber voller Gefühlsregungen.
Ich habe die verschiedenen Charaktere sofort ins Herz geschlossen.
Sie sind alle vielseitig und so liebenswert.
Die Geschichte ist einfach zuckersüß, echt und ehrlich.
Ich habe einfach mitgefühlt und gefiebert.
Die Storyline hat auch genau das richtige Tempo und überstürzt sich nicht.
Eine Reihe die sich mit Band 1 schon zu meinen Lieblingsmangas entwickelt.
Einfach voller Gefühl, Witz, Mut und Spaß.

Eine Reihe die sich mit Band 1 schon zu meinen Lieblingsmangas entwickelt.
Einfach voller Gefühl, Witz, Mut und Spaß.

IDK. I like the art here, story is fine, and the interactions are nice. I'll give it a few more volumes before I decide to continue or abandon this.
