There is something beautiful about reading a raw and intimate collection of poetry written in one's teenage years. This collection is as earnest as it can get and the only reason I don't rate it higher is because it is a little rough in format and content (meaning grammar tidbits that were frequent enough for me to make a note of it). As for formatting, I wonder how the paperback looks/feels. The eBook had divisions that were a bit wonky and that did knock me out of reading once or twice, though I always came back. That's because I shall always appreciate honest writing from the heart. I absolutely think a variety of people could benefit from reading this collection if only as an invitation to capture those raw intense emotions. It could even be for a character study for something you're writing because the text within has a lot of soul. I've seen people rave over poetry collections that to me do not move the needle or miss the mark. This collection, even needing a bit of polish, is definitely worth a read.
