This is a box set containing the first three stories in a mini-series that is fast-paced, action-packed, and full of magic, romance, and emotion. In the pages you'll find dragons from another planet, a wide range of magical creatures, and an evil entity known as The Devourer that wants to destroy the world. Here are my reviews for each book in this set.

Betrothed to the Dragon - First book in a new mini-series set in a fascinating world. You've got the Shen, a magical race with a great variety of gifts, dragons from an alien planet, and of course the big bad enemy in the Devourer. Sophie is a Shen who never manifested a gift of her own despite a powerful lineage and has adapted to living as a human. Her life has been shaped by the deaths of her parents at the hands of the Devourer and all the running she has done since then. When her Grandmother tells her she's been betrothed to a dragon since she was an infant, she doesn't know what to think. When she meets a drop dead gorgeous man at her work, then literally runs into him again, she never expects that he is her betrothed. But the Devourer is making moves again and when Sophie runs, this time she has some unexpected help. Fast-paced and filled with action, this short story will have you glued to the pages to see how things turn out.

Belonging to the Dragon - Second story in the mini-series follows Lana and Lucas. Once again the story is fast-paced and action-packed with plenty of surprises and twists you won't see coming. In the aftermath of the first book, human friend to the dragons, Lana, finds herself changed both emotionally and physically from her encounter with The Devourer. While she's found a way to cope with her new normal, a certain hunky dragon from her past just won't let their connection go. Lucas isn't going to let Lana get away this time, and will use everything in his arsenal to make sure she is his. Bonded to the Dragon - Third book in the mini-series and this one is a little bit different than the first two bringing some new faces into the story. Val was the friend that Lana was trying to save in the last book, but ultimately had to kill to save her from The Devourer. But the Fairy Queen Titania uses her Shen magic to resurrect her to serve as a vengeance demon and then barters her away to a dragon to use to get his sister back from The Angel of Death. Grant is a very old and very powerful dragon set on revenge. When he meets Val, her inner strength and view of vengeance not to mention the attraction her feels towards her begins to thaw his heart. But Val isn't exactly what everyone thinks she is, and she just might end up being the key to defeating The Devourer once and for all. If you read the previous stories in this series you'll see some familiar faces in this story in addition to Val and Grant. It's full of action and fast-paced with some surprising twists plus a sizzling romance full of a wide range of emotions.

Three dragon shifter lover stories in a nicely bundled box set.
All three books give us action, suspense and hotness!

BETROTHED TO THE DRAGON (Book 1)
This dragon shifter story pleasantly surprised me. We not only get a dragon but we get much more. Sophie has no idea what game her grandmother is playing with her future and she is about to get enlightened literally. Her grandmother wants to make sure Sophie is safe and Hunter is just the man errr dragon to do it.
We get action, and the characters and chemistry are perfectly done

BELONGING TO THE DRAGON (Book 2)
We met Lana and Lucas in book one and well things for these two ended on a bad note.
Lana has always thought Lucas beautiful but she was warned off him by his mother when she was very young. Lana had something happen to her by the Devourer and she is trying to use to find her friend Val who is missing.
These two lead us on an action-packed mission and that nasty Devourer will keep them on their toes/wings and much more.

BONDED TO THE DRAGON (Book 3)
A Fairy? or is she? Holding the Angel of Death hostage?
And the big bad Dragon comes to the save the day? Well maybe not.
I loved Grant and once he gets Val to open up she is likable.
You get a bit of everything from high impact action, suspense and oh yea a bit of hotness too... Everything a paranormal book lover loves to read. Grab it and find out.

This box set includes the stories of three couples and the adventures they have while trying to hunt down and destroy the devourer, an entity that destroys life to analyse it. Each of the three men are dragons while each of the women are different, one is a shen or Faery, one is a human with a kick butt suit of dragon armor and one is vengeance. Each story is a stand alone but all three are tied together by the theme of destroying the devourer. I loved each story and would love to see more. If you like hot dragon shifting men and women who can stand up for themselves you will love this box set. The characters are believable and their actions make a lot of sense. The world building is incredible and you can imagine men shifting into dragons and breathing fire. I read the entire box set in two sittings so make sure you get comfy before you start. I also recommend not starting the books before bed because you will lose sleep. I did because the stories are so intriguing and interesting I couldn't stop reading. Loved, Loved, Loved all three books.

Betrothed to the Dragon
I was able to read this in one day. It was fast paced and had some interesting twists in it. I would have liked a bit more background into the escape to earth for the dragons and shen. I wish we would have been able to meet Sophie's grandmother. I bet she was a hoot. I was a bit disappointed in Sophie's total lack of trust in herself. She spent a lot of time feeling sorry for herself when he could have been actively learning about herself and her species. Hunter was my heart throb. I can see why he had the attitude when he first met her, but she just flaked out. I was really proud of her when her when she finally gave in and let Hunter help her.

Belonging to the Dragon
We are focusing on Lana and Lucas after The Devourer. Lucas says Lana is his mate and after trying to kill each other following The Devourer's mind-controlling experiment, she says no. Plus, while being held captive she was changed and she is afraid of what she now is. Lucas, however, is not giving up on her. She is determined to save her friend, Val, who is missing and Lucas agrees to help. They will also encounter another piece of The Devourer and hopefully live to fight another day. There is plenty of action and fighting and drama. Oh, don't forget the fireworks that always accompany a dragon and his fated mate.

Bonded to the Dragon
This one for me was a bit harder to get involved in. However, once I figured out where I was and what was happening, it was enthralling. I loved this story. The internal conflict Val was constantly fighting was what made this so interesting. Grant seemed to understand Val more than she understood herself. The closeness they shared once she realized he didn't want to just use her for her powers was heartwarming. I loved how she used her powers and Grant was amazed with it as well. This was a wonderful addition to the Dragon Lords series. I can't wait until she runs into her friend Lana after being dead and all.

I received an ARC of this book set in exchange for my honest review. I absolutely enjoyed being thrown into and around this story that was full of action, adventure and even love.

Book 1: Bethrothed to the Dragon - we meet Sophie and Hunter in this book. They were thrown together with the odds stacked against them. I love how Ms. Lockharte developed these characters. I could close my eyes and just picture them in front of me. I love reading how Sophie came into her own and found out who (and what) she was. There was a lot if action and good fight scenes.
Book 2: Belonging to the Dragon: This book picked up where book 1 left off as we learn more about the relationship between Lana and Lucas. Man, there is so much history between them, and so many secrets. The tension builds between these two as they are trying to find themselves both individually and together. Sacrifice and love were strong themes throughout their story. We learn a lot about the value of family and friendship as both Lucas and Lana fight for what they feel is right.
Book 3: Bonded to the Dragon - This book continues the story and fight against an enemy who keeps getting worse. Val and Grant...... wow. Val has so many struggles to overcome and Grant enters the picture, she begins to second guess herself. He has so much patience with her and trys to help her discover what is meant for. Sophie and Hunter are back and we get to see how their life has changed since book one. Wow the fight scene towards to end of the book.

I can't wait for book 4! There are some graphic sex scenes throughout the 3 books which may not be appropriate for all readers.

Sophie is of a race, called the Shen all of her family has been destroyed except for her grandmother who spirited her away to America to keep her safe. When she meets Hunter she is attracted to him until she learns her grandmothers secret part of keeping her safe was betrothing her to a dragon and that dragon is Hunter, When the Devourers come to kill Sophe will Hunter be able to keep her safe and will love blossom between these two. This is a wonderful way to be introduced to a wonderful new world and I am looking forward to further books in this series
BELONGING TO A DRAGON
She may have been the housekeeper's daughter while he was the son of the house and a long living dragon they should have had nothing in common and he did break her heart but now she is so much more This is a super steamy read that have you turning the pages and the epilogues sets us up for the next great adventure
BONDED TO THE DRAGON
She was brought back from death by the shen but now she has been handed over to a dragon to repay the loss of his sister by that same Shen Queen that saved her. Val should have nothing in common with Grant other than the fact that his sister Aurora who was missing was kind to her while she was a slave. But as they search for Aurora emotion start to build between them Do they have a chance at a HEA

This is a great fun read each book is a relatively quick read and it is great to have them all together

Awesome Box Set. I read these three individually, and am glad to see them in one collection. These books are action filled and are extremely hard to put down. Well worth the read.

Betrothed to the Dragon
Action filled book with intrigue, betrayal, mystery, danger, suspense and romance. Sophie knows nothing about being betrothed as a child until the day she meets Hunter. Without knowing who he was, she was immediately enamoured, but when she discovers his identity all bets are off. However, when danger threatens her, Hunter comes to the rescue. I enjoyed the battle scenes with the Destroyer’s minions and the banter amongst Hunter’s team. The story was well written and encouraged the reader to feel empathetic with the characters, both main and secondary.

Belonging to the Dragon
Lana has had a crush on Lucas since childhood. Since encountering the Devourer in the previous book, Lana has become something other than human. She and Lucas must work through their problems before they can even think of a happy ever after. Will the devourer win after all? Well written story with action, danger, intrigue and a twist at the end I didn’t see coming. Great characters both main and secondary. This was a very exciting book and I found it hard to put it down.

Bonded to the Dragon
Action galore in this tale of dragons and magic. Grant wants revenge against the Angel of Death who took his sister, and thinks to use Val to get it. Val just wants out of Titania’s control, but gets more than she bargained for. Great storyline and strong characters make this a book to remember.

This is my first book by Kara and i like to say she did a great job.

I started reading the book on my lunch hour and I finished it on my break that's how much I enjoyed this book. The characters were just a tad different which was something that I liked now the dragon Hunter he's a little common but the female Sophie, she was something new something called a "shen".

Love the fact the story contained a little Rebellion, a dose of lust, a great fight, and something so evil stink and a common ground for them to fight for. So the story had a little bit of everything so I don't believe you could go wrong by reading it.

Coming into the storyline by reading the second book before the first one was a chance I took. I will go back and read the first book in the series just to catch up on the characters.

Lana and Lucas a lifetime come on in 15 years worth of separation we'll see anger and longing come into play.

I will say that these 90-plus Pages definitely kept my interest centered on what was going to happen next and has made me curious as to what happened previously and makes me anxiously await the next book in this Saga. If that doesn't mean I don't know what else will.

After her presentation she is approached by a tall broad-shouldered man who would like to ask some questions about the presentation but does not have time so he leaves. As she walks home she is still thinking about her grandmother’s news when she bumps into something and looking up she recognizes the man from the Museum.
BELONGING TO THE DRAGON (Book 2)
After Lana and Lucas were saved from the Devourer Lana despite being given the all clear from his magic finds there something new inside. Lucas has been worried and is trying to protect Lana but she keeps pushing him away. When he finds out what she was left with he takes her to see an elder Dragon as it is an ancient Dragon weapon. While there the Devourer attacks.
BONDED TO THE DRAGON (Book 3)
Titania brought Val back from death but is attacked by a dragon who claims her as part of restoring balance. Titania gives him a ring to control her leaving her still enslaved. Dragon shifter Grant is trying to find his sister and hopes Val can help but he has no control over her powers so he must use the ring to limit what she does.

Val & Grant............... she had to die to find her soul mate, and she wants to stay dead? Really, I think not. Vengeance is best served cold, and these two are anything but cold.

The best thing about a box set is that there is no cliff hanger and you don't have to stop reading after the first story is done! That is SO TRUE with this package, because, after volume one, you get to keep reading! This was an introduction of this new to me author and I was amazed how fast I got into it. Fast-paced and emotionally charged stories full of magic, romance and action, suspense and twists and turns that demand your interest and attention at the swipe of every page. Don't forget HOT and SASSY! OMG! The stories follow and develop different characters, so the momentum doesn't slow, while still following those characters you were previously introduced to. First, I have to say that I had previously read book 3 then 1. I'm going to have to adjust my reviews. They didn't do the series justice. When they are read in order, everything just kinda clicks. That is exactly why you should buy this. It will seriously end up in your re-read pile. Dragons, magic, conflict and romance. While each book is focused on an individual couple and their journey to a HEA, it is a series. An amazing one. Every male was all alpha, but had a soft side. The girls, strong women that could make you feel more than you would think they were capable of. Action, suspense and mystery mixed with the history we love. If we get lucky, there will be more to come. Chloe and Daniel need a book. Nope, not telling you why. The unanswered questions definitely leave it open for more. Like I said before, you can't go wrong with dragons!!!!!

Each book is a stand alone story featuring a specific couple but all three books are part of one overall incredible story. These characters are unusual and the individual books are so compelling, I couldn’t put them down until I finished them all. I fell in love with every character in this series while reading it and especially loved the way all the characters that were featured in the first book continued to be part of the overall story throughout all the books. This book is a wonderful read that anyone who enjoys reading about magic, magical creatures, and dragons will love. Dragon Lovers is an amazing set of books full of magic and romance.

I read this set in one day and was sad when I got to the end. Each story was entertaining with interesting characters. Book One is Sophie and Hunter’s story- poor Sophie has had such a rough life not to mention having a surprise arranged marriage suddenly presented at her lowest point. Book Two is Lana and Lucas’ story- Lana has loved Lucas since they were kids but as the housekeeper’s daughter, he’s out of her league, or so she thinks. Book Three is Grant and Val’s story- when it comes to sucky lives, Val gets the trophy, then she’s given to the mysterious Grant and everything starts to change. I’m so excited for the next book.

Three books that can be read as stand-alone dragon-shifter- romance stories, but connected by a common enemy and in chronological order, with a few characters from former books popping up again. The common enemy is the DESTROYER, an alien AI, that developed into something it was never meant to be.
Three women who seemed to be ordinary humans developing special gifts to help fight the Destroyer and stand by their men .
Well-written, with women full of spunk and a heart at the right place, the books are entertaining with a wonderful blend of adventure, fantasy and romance.

I adore box sets ! And this author has provided a great one ! If you are like I am and love reading about DRAGONS then grab these !! Each story seems to flow so smoothly into one another but have no worries each is a standalone but if you want to read about the others that show up in the stories then oh yes ! First you will read about Hunter and Sophie . Even with everything going on these two find that life is ever so worth it !! Next is Lucas and Lana and boy oh boy does this one just take off !! And last in the set is Grant and Val . This one is more intense and oh so good too !! I do wish I could give more than 5 stars on these !! Well written and recommended to all !!

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Dragon Lovers Box Set Vol. 1 by Kara Lockharte contains the first three books in the Dragon Lovers series. This is my first Kara Lockhart read in a long time and it was intensely amazing! Here are reads that are action packed with well developed characters, yummy dragons and their fated mates. These books were made to be read and re-read. I loved the snarky interactions, kickass heroines and the rollercoaster ride of emotions. Everything you need for hours of "Don't bother me" entertainment, just add your favorite beverage and a comfy chair!

This is a well written set of dragon stories with strong characters and entertaining story lines that will give you hours of reading pleasure.. The author does a great job bringing tons of action along with the romance. I was glued to the pages reading and left with wanting the next book now! They move quickly and smoothly and I enjoyed reading. Highly recommend to all the dragon lovers out there!

**Belonging to the Dragon**
Shows the meaning of a mother's love. While they don't take a dominant position in the story, they do make a big part in it. Wonderful read! Characters have great chemistry that is hard to deny.

**Bonded to the Dragon**
This is a good read where Sophie figures out who and what she is. This is a exciting read with wonderful characters. Sophie's struggles are well described and easy to be sympathetic about. How much would you give up for your freedom?

The book series is loosely linked by the relationships of the characters. My favorite of the three was the second. The first book sets up the characters and the relationships amongst them. It explains Shen and the origins of the dragons and the “immortal” monster that is killing them all off. The second and third follows a new couple and their attempts to permanently kill the monster and it’s parts. This was a great fantasy read with just the right amount of romance thrown in.

I really liked the first 3 books! The first book’s chapter 13 (end battle) was a little hard for me to follow but I caught it the second time I read it. I felt the following 2 books were even better. It seemed like the author had gotten really comfortable in the world she created as the books progressed. All books are quick reads. I almost wished they were a little longer as things were happening quickly that I felt could have had more detail in them but if you like fast pace this is your book!
