Their marriage didn’t last. The last thing he wants is to relive it.

From USA Today bestselling author Jan Thompson comes this second-chance romantic Christian women's fiction blended with contemporary Christian romance with a side of suspense!

A divorced single dad with full custody of his son made a promise he now has to keep: invite his ex-wife to enjoy their son’s birthday gift: a seven-day cruise in Alaska. Can two people who have given up on each other put aside their emotions to make their five-year-old son happy for a week?

Wait for Me is the the third novel in USA Today Bestselling author Jan Thompson’s Vacation Sweethearts Christian travel romance series celebrating the immeasurable grace and undeserved mercy of God. These novels are a spin-off of her Savannah Sweethearts coastal city and beach town series.

Love has left him…
Successful businessman Logan Urquhart regrets promising Jonas that he will give him anything he wants for his fifth birthday. The fortune he has inherited enables him to buy whatever his son desires. But all Jonas wants for his birthday is to be with his mother. “Dad, you promised.”

Logan has no choice. Then again, it can’t be too bad. It will only be for seven days. After that, he’ll go home to Georgia, USA, and she’ll go home to Paris, France. End of story. Or is it?

Love has returned…
Undercover INTERPOL agent Marie Bouchard would love to see her son again, but not her ex-husband. Their lack of trust for each other destroyed their marriage three years ago. When he asked for a divorce, she gave him everything, including their son.

Well, the reunion will only be for one week. The problems that have followed her around for the last three years are all in the past, aren’t they?

But love is trouble…
All seem peaceful, until Marie notices extra security onboard the ship. When her ex-husband becomes slightly paranoid about their son’s safety, Marie begins to wonder if it is a mistake for her to be onboard the cruise ship in the first place.

A little disjointed but good

I really did enjoy this. Very clean and chaste. It has bible quotations in it but that doesn't bother me but they were just random and didn't flow smoothly. Also neither of them dated but a little bit later there was a couple of sentences about he almost married Lexi Parker just to give Jonas a Mother. Confusing and then one time a criminal was in custody and then they hadn't caught her yet. And Said who was he anyway? Just alot of confusion but I still really liked it. It was espionage and everything you would not expect from a Christian romance novel. Jonas, their son was spoiled and very annoying . I would have thrown him overboard. lol Not really. But he did need discipline. And she left her son for three years??? That seemed a little too much. But I will read this author again. See if her writing gets smoother.

Wait For Me by Jan Thompson is a contemporary Christian romantic suspense. It is the third book in the Vacation Sweethearts series but can be read as a stand-alone.
Jan Thompson has created a cracking story that entertains the reader. She reveals the heart of God to love us and to be in control of all our situations. “Did we forget that God is ultimately in control of our lives?” When our world is in turmoil we need to remember that nothing surprises God. He knows our ending from our beginning.
Prayer is important. It should be as natural as breathing. “Praying was an automatic thing.” We need to make prayer our default setting and not our last resort.
God is the God of second chances. Whatever we threw away in the past can be resurrected under the loving care of God.
We need people to keep us safe. Within the novel there is fast paced action fighting to keep characters safe. The reader is reminded that God fights for us. His weapons are prayer and His Word.
We see sacrificial love in action within the story. Characters do what they need to in order to keep loved ones safe no matter what the personal cost – financial, mental and physical.
Jan Thompson has created well rounded characters. Her five year old was realistically portrayed with his me-centred life. I loved the banter about him between his parents.
Wait For Me was a perfect blend of romance, suspense and family. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Why not grab yourself a copy today?
I received this book for free. A favourable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.

Wait For Me ( Vacation Sweetheart Book 3 )
By; Jan Thompson
Wait For Me is book three in Vacation Sweetheart Series. Ms. Thompson writes a good , clean Christian Romance with some suspense. This is a family love story and a cruise to Alaska. I love the story and the characters, both are well written. A single dad divorces and makes a promise to his young son. Can he keep this promise? Should he have made it? I was drawn in at the start and did not want to put it down.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book, but was not told that I had to give a positive review. All opinions are my own.

A Second Chance

Logan and Marie were married to each other about six years earlier. They had a son,Jonas, together. Logan received full custody of Jonas since his mother was traveling all over the world as a Translator for many countries and businesses. Logan promised Jonas he would take him on an Alaskan Cruise for his birthday and would invite his mother. Marie accepted the invitation, so the "Family" had a four day cruise to reconnect. With Marie's education and having been trained by the CIA and TMI5 units she was a Secret Agent. One entity discovered she would be on a cruise and planned their attack to find her and kill her. Enjoy the trouble Jonas can be t into and find out if Marie and Logan tied the knot again.

In my opinion, five year old Jonas was the star of this story. His parents had divorced, his dad had custody, but Jonas wanted them back together. His birthday wish was for all three of them to go on a week long Alaskan cruise. Logan was rich and not only had a nanny for Jonas but also spoiled him rotten. His mother Marie recognized this and stated her disapproval several times. A week long cruise sounds so nice but with Marie’s secretive job so much could go wrong.
I enjoyed the romance interwoven into the story but the suspense added the “icing to the cake”. I was held captive right to the very end and learned the ins and outs of this unusual family.
This book was a personal purchase and my review was my own thoughts.

I never read this author before, but I gave her a try and liked it pretty well in spite of not being overly crazy about the main characters. Logan seemed awfully self absorbed and too obsessed with wealth and work to be the father he should be. Marie let work take precedence over family. I know it is fiction, but it is dumb to not be able to tell your spouse what you really do, and if you can't...quit the job.

Jonas....a spoiled brat.

But the plot was good and well done, especially with the suspense angle, and the main characters did improve some towards the end of the book.

What an amazing book. The people and hint of danger are so wonderful. I was annoyed by Jonas, but I also appreciated their description of him as a spoilt child, as that was exactly what he was. Second Chance romance is something I adore as well. Excellent work, Jan Thompson. This book is one I wholeheartedly endorse.

I purchased a copy of the novel Wait for Me: Family Vacation in Alaska... Inspirational Second Chance Christian Travel Romance Novel with Suspense (Vacation Sweethearts Book 3)by Jan Thompson and this review was given freely.
Divorced wealthy American single father Logan Urquhart must risk his heart and his son Jonas's safety to honor the promise to include his Parisian undercover Interpol ex wife Marie Bouchard on Jonas's Alaskan birthday cruise. Some prayerful self examination is intermixed with family dysfunction as well as danger and intrigue containing violence. The plot is excellent but the delivery is a little awkward.

Logan doesn’t know how he can grant the promise he made to Jonas. Marie is surprised when Logan tells her about the promise he made to their son. Can Logan and Marie make it together for a week? Jan Thompson is a amazing Christian author. She will have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next with Logan and Marie. I am honored to be part of the beta team for this amazing author. I would give this book a higher rating than a five star review if I could.

This is a good second chance romance & mystery. Also good about a father that doesn't refuse his son whatever he wants. Loved the mystery & how Logan & Marie get back together. It's just a good book all around. I received an ARC. This is my honest, voluntary review.
