After waking up from a four year long coma, so much has changed around Pedro. His best friend sacrificed his life to save their unit. And Pedro can’t understand how Jason’s omega fiancé, Charlie, seems to be over the loss. To make things complicated, the more time Pedro spends around Charlie, the more he sees what Jason loved about him. But would it be a betrayal of his best friend to claim Charlie for himself?
Charlie is ready to live again…
Charlie has spent four devastating years lamenting the death of his alpha fiancé, but he’s learned how to handle his heartache and he knows it’s time to move on. So, when newly awakened Pedro insists on consoling him over his loss, he’s done. He’s worked hard to heal, and he won’t let anyone drag him back down. But it quickly becomes clear that there’s more to Pedro than meets the eye and as attraction blooms between himself and the wounded alpha, he wonders if he’s ready to love again.
Pedro and Charlie might be at different places in their grieving, but they both have wounds that no one else can see. And as these friends become closer, they find comfort in one another. But an unexpected complication will make them question just what they want together. Are they ready to move forward, or are their hearts forever trapped in the past?
Book #4. Another non-shifter, Mpreg tale in this incredible series of wounded warriors and their true loves. Omega Charlie was Jason's fiance when he died from the IED explosion that brought so much pain, like Pedro's nearly 4 year coma. Now, Alpha Pedro is awake, realizing all he's missed during this time. Charlie has spent the four years overcoming his grief and finally moving on. Each man needs some space from the hovering friends and family, so when they meet, they decide to get an apartment together.
Charlie has problems with his "heat" meds, which leads to Pedro's help in a sexy night to ease his pain and discomfort. We see all of our couples and kids, the doting family and crazy well-meaning friends once again. The "heat" meds turns out to be a nationwide issue, that is either cruel, or just a mistake. Our men all must deal with the consequences.
Pedro admits to Charlie his love, and tells Charlie his mental problems left over from the TBI, Traumatic Brain Injury, as a team they handle it together. Everyone rallies for them and the surgery. The amount of births nationwide is a big surprise.
This is wonderfully written with compassion and interest. As always, we get super sexy times, filled with intense emotion, raw and sizzling scenes, also filled with true love and warm hearts.
This series has been a joy to read, with wounded warriors, an Mpreg world, hotness, true feelings, plus lovable, fantastic and flawed guys who deserve their HEA. ENJOY !
Well, this one was more focused on the romance than the mystery about the tainted pills, which was a little bit disappointing.
But the romance between Pedro and Charlie is nice and sweet. Both characters are very interesting, and I love Pedro and his family :D
A very fascinating point in this story is the difference between Pedro and Charlie's perception about the time they both had to grieve over Jason. Pedro's four years in a coma let him feeling his friend's death is a fresh wound, but Charlie is ready to move on.
The consequences from Pedro's wounds and coma are also an interesting plot point, and another way to show that the damages made by war are long-lasting,
4.5 stars. Honestly I didn't see Pedro and Charlie connecting until the very end. I believe that they did need each other though to heal. They were both in very different stages of grieving over Jason. And so their union is what I think was best for them. I about cried every time either of them thought about Jason. He was a presence throughout the series but I think in this book specifically, he was an even bigger presence.

This story makes you Cry! Its very heart-warming with the Characters all from the three previous books. Its a love story that is well worth reading. Thanks Aiden for telling this story about two great characters.
This is my favorite book in the series, followed by book 2. So much emotions especially with memories of Jason. Pedro and Charlie fought hard for a future together and a well deserved HEA. A great conclusion to the series!
Oregon author Aiden Bates began his writing career in journalism (his degree is in both journalism and creative writing) but his fascination and passion for writing romance erotica won him over and we are the grateful recipients of that decision.
This is Book 4 in his Omega’s Under Siege series, and for those for whom this is the first visit, Aiden capitalizes on the theme of Alpha men and Omega men – alphas being the assertive partner and omega the submissive – and joins that with the military dynamic. The story is complex, in a good way, but Aiden manages to outline it as follows: ‘: He shouldn’t want his best friend’s fiancé…After waking up from a four year long coma, so much has changed around Pedro. Charlie is ready to live again…Charlie has spent four devastating years lamenting the death of his alpha fiancé, but he’s learned how to handle his heartache and he knows it’s time to move on.
A bit of the book’s opening hints at the drama to unfold as Charlie enters first: – ‘”Zimmerman, your prescription is ready.” The tinny voice interrupted me as I contemplated soaps. I liked drug stores. They were always so neat and organized. Any time my life seemed to be in shambles, I’d come here and wander the aisles of tidy boxes and rows. In the last four years, There’d been more than one time I’d needed that distraction. It made me believe, for just a short time, that my own life was together…Remember, breathe. Accept reality. Acknowledge the grief, but don’t lose yourself to it. One, two three…Therapy was a trip.’
Aiden continues to create unique books that take a twist on what appears to be a familiar setting and theme and in doing so he keeps his talent polished to a fare-thee-well. Very strong book to continue this series!
Very good read. Not all readers will agree as we are all different. One of those series for me that kept me reading. Once again I will not be doing any spoilers. But suggest you to read the series

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the fourth book in the Omegas Under Siege Series.Int his book, Charlie is ready to move on with his life after losing his fiance Jason four years ago while Jason was serving in the military. Charlie has been living with his fathers and is ready to move out. Pedro was a soldier who served with Jason and was left in a coma for four years because of the same incident where Jason died. Pedro has been living with his brother and his omegas. but he wants some independence back in his life. When Pedro sees Charlie one day, they both mentioned wanted to move out, so they decided to be roommates. Pedro was still recovering from his come and had issues, but he never told Charlie about them. Charlie was an omega and when he got his heat, he begged Pedro for help. Pedro was an alpha and when he saw Charlie desperate, he couldn't help himself. Charlie was attracted to Pedro and he wonders if he is ready to move on from his loss and have something with Pedro. I really loved this story. It was so emotional dealing with Charlie's loss and how Pedro helped him move on. Pedro was also mourning Jason, he was friends with him and to Pedro, it was still fresh. I think Pedro and Charlie helped each other and i think they were great together. Another great one from Aiden.
If you wait, he will come. After mourning Jason's death for four years, Charlie decided it was time to step out of his depression and start moving forward with his life.Pedro a few months in physical therapy after being in a coma for four years is still trying to adjust to his time lapse. They begin a friendship they didn't know they needed. Their common denominator, Jason almost seemed to serve as the glue that keeps them together. The men are ready for the adventure that draws them in. Are they ready to open themselves up? How will their friends react to them being more than housemates? Can Marcos take a step back? Can Charlie really let Jason go? Will Pedro feel guilty once he makes that leap? Is Pedro's memory okay? They face a few scares, they they handel it? Great story! You are pulling for Pedro and Charlie. I didn't want the story to end. Charlie and Pedro seem the most real, down to earth couple. There is laughter, fun and drama to shield you from the times that aggravate your allergies. Well done! In many ways a typical Aiden Bates story, but this one is also more, deeper than the others. If you have read any of the author's books, you will know, that most stories are not about the falling in love and a happily ever after. They are about the challenges of living together, of overcoming baggage from the past and insecurities. Each couple struggles and finally finds a way to cope. In this way - the book is typical. But, to my knowledge for the first time, he picks up on the topic of war and the damages are done to the ones left behind. This story is about a young omega, who loses his fiance in a battle, trying to cope with a life on his own and an alpha, a soldier, who had been wounded and wakes up to find out that 4 years have passed. Interesting, intriguing and full of understanding, it is a great book to enjoy. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The last 4 years have been vastly different for Pedro and Charlie, they have suffered greatly but they are survivors and are ready to move on with their lives. Deciding to become roommates will deepen their friendship and further their healing but a shocking event turns up the heat and has their connection growing. These sweet, funny men soon discover a deeper understanding of each other and an intense passion that leads to love and HEA. The wonderful characters, emotional storyline, and well written descriptions of the various aspects of grief, passion, hope, fears, and new love will keep toy reading straight through. This story deals with a lot of feelings, emotions, healing, and adds a few twists to keep things interesting. I would definitely recommend this book.

Aiden Bates has delivered another wonderful book with Omega's Secret Heartbreak. Charlie has spent so long mourning Jason's death and finally he feels ready to start living life again and tells his dads that he intends moving out. He bumps into Pedro, one of Jason's squad buddies, who has just woken up from a four year coma and is still dealing with the emotional and physical fallout from his injury. Pedro has had enough of living with his brother and his brother's two omegas and being hovered over and he also wants to move forward. The two decide to be roommates but when a heat suppressor has adverse side effects the two end up as a lot more than that. I just loved their story, both characters have depth and are incredibly likeable and their story is entertaining and melted my heart.

This series has been amazing, and this book has to be my most loved but also most painful to read. We have met both characters in previous books. Pedro is Marco’s brother that spent four years in a coma after coming back from the IED that killed Jason. Charlie is Jason’s fiancé that has spent the last 4 years learning to live with out him. But after becoming roommates find live in each other. But we all know it’s not that easy and these two have a mountain of trials and tribulations to surpass. It won’t be easy but when they find love and a new life with each other nothing will make them crumble. This book was sweet, and so full of love. I loved it from beginning to end.

This is the story of Charlie and Pedro. Charlie is finally getting back on his feet after losing his fiancé in a war accident. Pedro, after waking up from a 4-year coma, is finally taking one step in front of the other and moving forward with his life. Both are looking for a fresh start without too many hovering family members around. What are the chances that they both need a roommate? What to do when the medication fails and the side effects are crazy? The characters are strong, determined and willing to hurdle over life's obstacles. The storyline only reinforces this with its twists and turns, moments of passion and moments of health events. Great read!

This book is the fourth in the series Under Siege by Aiden Bates. Pedro wakes up after a four year coma caused by the same accident that has affected all of the rest of the couples in this series. Charlie has spent the same four years mourning his fiancé Jason who died in the same explosion. Pretty generic...well not in Aiden’s hands. He weaves together these two hurting people and the characters from the other books in an excellent book. Heartwarming, heartbreaking and ultimately full of love (and babies).

Touching story of heartbreak, loss and how survivors find love. A strong and complex story-line dealing with a wounded soldier, a man done with grief and finding love. i enjoyed the twists and turns of the plot.
Pedro and Charlie have lots of steamy chemistry and are strong characters. A impactful story about how war touches all the lives it touches. I love the laughter and watching them both heal from a devastating loss. Watching them fall in love was a balm for the heart.
This is the fourth book int the Fort Greene Novel Under Siege series. It can be read as a stand-alone story.
I was gifted this book from the author and i freely give my honest opinion and review.
Alpha Pedro spent almost four years in a coma and now he wants move out and be on his own so that he can start living his life again. Omega Charlie lost his fiance and has spent four years trying to get over that loss. Charlie and Pedro agree to get an apartment together and try to move forward with their lives. When Charlie ends up pregnant, how does it effect Pedro? What does Pedro handle the stress of having a baby?

This was by no means a straight forward romance. Most of the team sustained injuries, of various degrees, in an bombing in Malmur, but Jason lost his life. Pedro only learned this after he awoke from a coma that lasted four years. When Pedro met up with Charlie, Jason’s ex fiancée, both were looking to move out from living with family and decided they could rent something better if they pooled resources and became flat mates. An unexpectedly strong heat moved them both to a place neither expected.

Charlie thought he lost his chance at love when Jason died in Malmur saving his unit. It's taken him four years but now he was ready to start living in the present and not the past. Pedro was in a coma for four years and just wanted to get on with his life. He was here alive because his friend Jason gave his life for him. I really liked this book. I like how Charlie and Pedro grew to love and trust one another. How they were there for each other and realized they had a life together,
Omega's Secret Heartache by Aiden Bates is a sweet second chance after loss romance with a surprise mpreg. Charlie and Pedro are great characters both healing and learning to live again after a devastating loss. I loved them together, reading their sweet, funny and sexy interactions. The story has some suspense, humor, and romance. Loved it.
Pedro and Charlie both lost Jason, a fellow Soldier and fiance. Their roads to recovery from the injury and loss are as different as they are. Both are ready to move forward in their healing and find solace in one another. An interesting read of recovery and love. The reporter thing was strange with no follow through. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
The story of Pedro and Charlie is the most perfect way to end this series. Pedro and Charlie both are learning how to live again. Roommates to lovers to family. I love how you get to see their story blossom and get to catch up with all the other guys and see how strong their family of brothers (by choice) are. Excellent series Aiden Bates!
This book had all the feels that I was hoping it had. The author made sure that the readers would and could relate and feel everything that the characters were going through and feeling. The characters were so well developed, and the storyline was intriguing and well written. It was an amazing read.

Timing is always a thing when it comes to life, change, romance. Pedro has been in a coma for years, and the best friend who saved his life is now dead.
How can Charlie, fiancé to the deceased, be ready to move on?
Love - simply, easily maddening and amazing!

I finally read this complete series and have to say absolutely loved it. Each story goes through each characters heartache and how they survived through it all. This book was the most heart wrenching of them. I cried through out thank goodness for tissue. Well done to Aiden.
I chose this rating because of the content of this book. Aiden has written about a subject that many can relate to in everyday life. Being injured during war, losing a loved one in that war are things that happen all the time. Charlie and Pedro are survivors in this book. A must read.
