A Timeless Lovestyle

Rate this book
Can love really be timeless?

While taking a cooling stroll alongside the river, on a hot, summer’s day, Molly Smythe stumbles and falls in. Unable to swim, the strong current pulls her down into the deep, murky depths. The year is 1860. When Charlie Rowland comes to Molly’s rescue, and pulls her from the water, she finds herself in the twenty-first century.

Charlie knows there’s something different about Molly and gains her trust, whereupon she shares her new secret with him. Molly needs to prove she is telling the truth but no one can find any record of her, or her family’s, existence in the nineteenth century. With Charlie’s help, she sets out to find what happened to her family, while not knowing if she will ever see them again.

Unfortunately, neither of them anticipated falling in love and now Molly must decide between saving her family or staying with the man she loves.

How do you choose between love and duty?

Kiltie Jackson

Kiltie Jackson spent her childhood years growing up in Scotland. Most of these early years were spent in and around Glasgow although for a short period of time, she wreaked havoc at a boarding school in the Highlands.

By the age of seventeen, she had her own flat which she shared with a couple of cats for a few years while working as a waitress in a cocktail bar (she’s sure there’s a song in there somewhere!) and serving customers in a fashionable clothing outlet before moving down to London to chalk up a plethora of experience which is now finding its way into her writing.

Once she’d wrung the last bit of fun out of the smoky capital, she moved up to the Midlands and now lives in Staffordshire with one grumpy husband and another six feisty felines.

Her little home is known as Moggy Towers even though, despite having plenty of moggies, there are no towers! The cats kindly allow her and Mr Mogs to share their home as long as the mortgage continues to be paid.

Since the age of three, Kiltie has been an avid reader although it was many years later before she decided to put pen to paper – or fingers to keyboard – to begin giving life to the stories in her head. Her debut novel was released in September 2017 and her fourth book was a US Amazon bestseller in Time Travel Romance.

Kiltie loves to write fiery and feisty female characters and puts the blame for this firmly on the doorsteps of Anne Shirley from Anne of Green Gables and George Kirrin from The Famous Five.

When asked what her best memories are, Kiltie will tell you:

1. Queuing up overnight outside the Glasgow Apollo to buy her Live-Aid ticket.

2. Being at Live-Aid.

3. Winning an MTV competition to meet Bon Jovi in Sweden.

(Although, if Mr Mogs is in earshot, the latter is changed to her wedding day.)

Her main motto in life used to be “Old enough to know better, young enough not to care!” but that has since been replaced with “Too many stories, can't type fast enough!”

All books are available in ebook & paperback through Amazon.

First up although this is Book 4 in the Lovestyle series and reading the first 3 would be great as they are as enjoyable you can easily read this as a stand alone

Time Travel
Something that interests me and enjoy reading about it yet rarely do tbh and so this the 4th in the series had my interest on the offset, however to ‘do’ time travel it has to be good.....this is, really good

Molly goes from the 1860’s to the present time via a ‘shinmer’ after she falls into the local river, she wakes to find herself in the present day and the arms of her rescuer Charlie and there the adventure begins

I loved how Charlie realises Molly has time travelled and Molly’s reaction to the world now and how she coped with things we take for granted, also loved her time
in London and her going shopping and her horror at ‘unseemly’ items such as bathing suits

The story progresses and we find out if Molly travels back to the 1860’s to see her family again or stays with the man she now loves....and well, you need to read the book to find out

Glorious rich descriptive writing that make these books nothing more than reading pleasure, always a great lifting story and as always reading a Timestyle book leaves me feeling good

Just as an aside but with the current life we find ourselves in reading about time travel seemed even more appealing than ever!

Well she did it again! This book popped into my kindle at the stroke of midnight, and 14 hours later it’s been read! I just could not put it down! It has all the elements that I enjoy in a book, some fabulous characters, sassy ones at that! ( I love love love Maggie/Frank!) always some good timed humour, lots of twists when you are not expecting them and of course a good dose of romance!
I love time travel themes in books, my favourite book being, The Time Travellers Wife demonstrates this, and I can honestly say that I was not disappointed with the storyline in this one at all. It was brilliant seeing Molly comprehend life in the twenty first century, especially the names she gives to the many modern appliances that she encounters.
I liked the character of Charlie in An Artisan Lovestyle, you had the opportunity to see his deeper personality when climbing with Elsa and in this book you certainly see that he is very capable of deep feelings. It was also fabulous to catch up with old friends too, Elsa brings much needed support to Molly, as well as finding a shopping buddy and drinking partner in the process. Sukie is as down to earth and feisty too, keeping Charlie on the straight and narrow!
All in all I relished reading every page, and already I’m counting down to book no 5!
I do love a Lovestyle book

Here is my 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 review of
A Timeless Lovestyle by Kiltie Jackson

The Lovestyle Series is unique and always a real treat to read. With descriptions so detailed you feel like you are there, immersed in the fictional characters lives. It was so perfectly written, I wanted to devour it all in one sitting. Unfortunately for me I started it just before bed so had to sleep in between reads.

I loved the beautifully written storylines between past and present that distinguished the two time zones. The description was wonderful and I really felt I was immersed in the lives of the Ditchley village residents.

From the village green to the beautiful windmill, the historical elements and contemporary life, I was transported into a timeless masterpiece! The revisiting of favourite characters who always make an appearance give the familiarity to the series and ties it all up in a neat gift of writing wonder!

Absolutely beautiful once again and now I have another long wait for book five!

A wonderful escapade of a book!

This was an absolute gem and a joy. I loved Molly's character so much and thought the author delivered a fabulously realistic timeslip element that packed a punch. The Lovestyle series continues to be a triumph and it was lovely to see some of my other fave characters return. Highly recommended!

Once again, Kiltie has pulled out all the stops. A beautifully written, heart warming love story from beginning to end. Like with all of Kilties books, I shed tears of both laughter and sadness.
I have read other books set in different time eras but this is the first book I have read with actual time travel. Kiltie describes both times so well, it was so easy to imagine myself there. I really liked how well spoken Molly is. It definitely added to the story and made her character more believable.

I always love re-visiting the characters from the previous books. It's like checking up on old friends. Even though each book has new characters, it feels like the stories are still not over for the others.

I am not the big romance reader I used to be but I will always make an exception for this series!

First thing I'm going to say is that I highly recommend readings books 1, 2 and 3 of this series before reading this the 4th book to the series. I read the series out of order but really wish I'd been patient and read them in order lol.

Anyway this book A Timeless Lovestyle has been an absolute delight of a read from start to finish. I loved getting to know Molly and to be reaquainted with Charlie (as he is featured in book 2).

I really enjoyed how the story switched from 1860 to present day and back again throughout the story. All of which was so very well written and the story flowed seamlessly and came together perfectly.

I was all set to give this book 4 stars but then an unexpected twist/revelation took place within the book which I so wasn't expecting, but I loved it and it literally sent my rating up to 5 stars because of it. And no I'm not going to give you details, you'll just have to read the book yourself.

There were a few funny scenes/elements throughout the story, like Molly's special unique names that she gave to televisions and telephones and other things, certainly gave me a giggle.

Lastly, I loved getting to be reaquainted with previous characters also from books 2 and 3 (and no doubt book 1, but I've not read it yet) such as Elsa, Sulkie and Jeff.

Finally, I absolutely love the book cover to this book, so colourful and beautiful which made me want to read the more even more.

A wonderful story mixing time travel and romance, “Can love really be timeless?”
In 1860 Molly Smythe falls into the river whilst taking a stroll, sadly she cannot swim and the strong current pulls her under. Charlie Rowland rescues a drowning women, Molly Smythe but when Molly comes round she discovers she’s now in the twenty-first century. Charlie knows that Molly is different and once they have gained each other’s trust Molly shares her secret, but when they start to research Molly’s family back in the nineteenth century there is no trace of her family. Wanting to prove she is telling the truth and concerned about what could have happened to her family Charlie helps Molly find out. However Molly and Charlie had not planned to fall in love and soon Molly must choose between her family and Charlie, and between love or duty. I loved this novel by Kiltie Jackson and although part of her ‘The Lovestyle Series’, it can be read as a standalone story. The characters were likeable and relatable and the chemistry between Molly and Charlie really came through, I was cheering them both on hoping they would get their happy ever after. This was a heartwarming novel and I definitely recommend it as a lovely romantic time travel story.

Well Kiltie has smashed it out of the park once again with A Timeless Lovestyle! From Death playing poker in Artisan Lovestyle to time travel in this one, where will she take us next enquiring minds wish to know?

So, our main character Molly is literally stuck between a rock and a hard place when we meet her way back in 1860, for the time, she really is way ahead of her time in her way of thinking and acting and so when she's flung forward to present time although things are very very strange her solid determination and strong will see her smashing any obstacle that she faces. Now, the lovely Charlie really is a knight in shining armour, and with the additional help of Sukie and Elsa, Molly really does fit in with her surroundings like a pro.

Wonderfully rounded characters all weaving their way through each of the Lovestyle books as always, along with new and colourful beings to happily guide us through Kiltie's amazingly far flung, yet down to earth at the same time, beautifully written pages.

An absolute delight as always, keeping me page turning and my children feral! Cannot wait to see where we will go in the next brilliant Lovestyle installment.

My first read by this author and I really enjoyed it.
Missing a bus stop and ending up somewhere unfamiliar is bad enough, so imagine the plight of Molly Smythe who trips and falls into a river in 1860 and finds herself in 2020 when she is pulled out of the river by Charlie Rowland!
While she is lucky to find friendly and helpful Charlie and his friend Sukie who manage to suspend their disbelief and trust that she has indeed time traveled, the village of Lower Ditchley is completely changed from what Molly knows.
Struggling to comprehend the advances and changed mores and values of a time that is vastly different from her own, Molly also has to deal with not knowing what happened to the family she left behind.
With Charlie's help, she manages to make a new life in the new century she finds herself in but what will happen when she has to go back?
I loved Molly's words for the inventions she sees all around her...talkyvision,touchy button thing, flapartment... her attempts at making sense of these were really cute.
All in all, I think was a light read that was very apt for the uncertain times we live in where anything can and does happen!

What can I say? Only that I'm sad to reach the end of The Lovestyle Series (unless there are other books in the pipeline)?
I do recommend you read them in order (which I didn't). I finished An Artisan Lovestyle just a matter of days before starting this one, and the bar was already set very high. But the quirky – in a very different way – nature of A Timeless Lovestyle captured my heart from the start.
The premise of a young woman slipping through time and dealing with all the developments of the 21st century was handled beautifully, with a fine balance of pathos and humour. Molly is a feisty and hugely likeable character, and I adored her 'naming' of modern-day inventions such as computers and televisions. Charlie, her rescuer and stalwart supporter as she navigates her way through the vagaries of a strange new world, is also a delight. Again, we meet other characters from the previous books, all with their parts to play in the unfolding of the story.
Love, devotion and loyalty are at the core of the tale, and my heart was thumping towards the end, wondering where it was all leading. Needless to say, the author produced a pitch-perfect finale. A truly delightful read.

In this installment of the Lovestyle series, Jackson - much as she did in book 2 - asks us to suspend our disbelief as she ventures this time into the realm of time travel. Main character Molly accidentally travels from 1860 into the present day, where she tries to find out the fate of her family whilst dealing with the reality of the advancements made between her time and the 21st century.

Molly is a very endearing character and as we get to see more of Charlie, returning from An Artisan Lovestyle and appearances in An Incidental Lovestyle, he also grows on you. I would have liked to see more of the extended cast of characters that we've come to know and love although I did enjoy some of the new creations, especially Tallulah! I also liked the way the relationship between Charlie and Elsa was handled.

This is another cracking book from Jackson, who really knows how to weave a tale that will keep you reading well into the small hours (as the bags under my eyes this morning prove!) Looking forward to the next one!

I think, although I’ve loved all these books, that this has to be my favourite. I’ve always enjoyed a touch of fantasy/mystery as well as romance, and this one has both. No point in saying it’s unrealistic, that it can’t happen – well, thank goodness that in books anything can happen! I loved the mix of the modern lifestyle along with the Victorian lifestyle that Mollie comes from. I enjoyed finding out more of the history of the village through Mollie’s eyes. I enjoyed ‘discovering’ modern life with Mollie and was glad to find that Charlie has become more of a real person and a man fit for loving, as we saw him in An Artisan Lovestyle being less than inviting as a possible lover, although he did try hard with Elsa. But being with Mollie showed Charlie that what he felt for Elsa was but a shadow of the real thing. I loved it; I’ve loved the whole set-up and community of these books and am sorry this seems to be the last one. Thanks for the lovely hours I’ve been able to spend with your characters, Ms Jackson

I am really mixed on this book and I know I will find this review difficult because I have loved Kiltie’s first two books of her series. (Not read book 3 as yet). I absolutely adored Artisan, and I think due to that, this one just didn’t hit the spot for me. I loved Charlie, and have done since reading Artisan, and I love how well written Molly is as a character as she shows such strength. For me, I’m sad to say I just didn’t fully connect with the whole storyline. There were some great elements too it, and parts that I really did enjoy which made me smile, especially when Molly stands up for herself throughout the story.
I know I’m in a minority with this review, which is great that so many have loved it, I just have to go with my honest opinion and personal taste in what I like in a book.

Utterly Brilliant!!!

What can I say everytime I read a Kiltie Jackson book I fall in love and not just with the leading man... I fall in love with the locations they are set in, the landmarks or places they visit and most of all the people you meet along the way of her creative and brilliant stories!
This is the fourth book in the Lovestyle series and although you can read this as a stand-alone you would be missing out on three other fabulous books so I recommend starting with the first which is A Rock & Roll Lovestyle.
The stories of Charlie and Molly is beautifully written, it is adventurous, it makes you laugh and it breaks your heart. All of those things wrapped up in one book is just perfection to me!
I highly recommend this book and the rest of the series you will not be disappointed!!!

When you read one of Kiltie Jackson's books you know you are going to get a beautiful love story with ups and downs, witty banter, a slapped face or two, and a happy ending that leaves you purring.

Let me tell you, I was seriously concerned for the direction this book took at about the three quarter mark because I didn't know how things were going to turn out. I needn't have worried because, well, this is Kiltie Jackson and I should have had more faith! Even allowing for all the twists and turns we expect in a book, this unique love story doesn't run the way I was expecting at all and I loved it for its unpredictability.

I don't want to give anything away except to say I was left feeling deeply satisfied and smiling.

Absolutely loved this book! Even though it is book 4 in “The Lovestyle Series” I think you can get away with reading it as a stand-alone, as long as you acknowledge there are one or two references to past events that are not fully explained. I have not read book 3 in the series but this didn’t stop me enjoying this book.
The style of writing is such that you are immediately drawn into the world between the pages and become involved in the characters lives. The time slip element is genius, the love story is uplifting, the characters are like family and the element of peril and the unknown is compelling.
I raced through this brilliant book, would highly recommend it (and the rest of the series) to everyone and rated it a solid 5⭐️.

This is the 4Th book in The Lovestyle series. I have not read all of the books in the series but I have read The artisan Lovestyle which contains some of the same characters from this story. I absolutely loved this book from the beginning to the end. There where a few times that it made me cry because there are some emotional parts in it. There is a great romance story that you honestly can not really guess if it will work out or not because the couple are from different time periods. This book was well written and everything flowed together and even though it tells a story about two time periods it was easy to follow. I would highly recommend this book to those that enjoy romance and women's fiction.

The thing I love most about Kiltie Jackson’s Lovestyle series is that each time you read one, you get the joy of returning to the familiarity of characters you know and love, but at the same time, with the focus shifting to a new pairing in each book, you also get to discover fresh new faces. Each story, and with it, each heroine, is vastly different from the one before.

Kiltie Jackson creates female characters who are strong, and fiercely independent, and whilst a man falls into the “nice to have” category, they in no way require one to save them – no weepy, damsels in distress in the Lovestyle series, thank you very much (apart from when Molly quite literally needs rescuing from the river, but that’s completely different).

In Molly, we meet a truly wonderful character and one who is so far ahead of the time in which she was born – both in spirit, and at times physically. Her discovery of all things 21st century is a pure delight. Whilst we can look back in time and see just how much things have changed since the 19th century, it is unimaginable how it would feel to suddenly have all the changes thrust upon you, and yet Molly takes it all in her stride. In fact, she thrives on embracing all the changes with barely a flicker of nerves.

In time travel tales, the sudden disappearance of a loved one from their own time is often overlooked, but Kiltie Jackson deal with this skilfully and dramatically, and at the same time uses this to inject intrigue into the present day story.

Although this book works well as a standalone, I would highly recommend reading the whole series, a) because it’s great, and b) because then you get the added joy of seeing your favourite characters pop up in the other books.

Well what can I say, but Kiltie you have once again written a truly beautiful story.
I absolutely loved the way you bring the characters to life, in their own unique story. I just loved the time travel, and felt as though I was there. With lovely places, which you can just picture with your imagination. I love how each book follows on from the previous one. A story of unexpected love through Time travel.
I thoroughly recommend The LoveStyle Series. But you must read each of the books in order, to see how the characters blend together with their lives.
Massive congratulations Kiltie, and bring on Book 5!

I adored this book. I thoroughly enjoy stories with supernatural happenings, so when I saw that Molly goes through time, I was intrigued. Then due to the excellent writing, interesting characters, and suspense, I was hooked. I like the way the book was written in first person, it feels more real than having a narrator of the story. There were enough twists and turns that I was wrong in guessing what would happen next, so it really kept my attention. I could see the characters in my mind’s eye, even though the story is British and not American. Some of the terminology is different, but I liked that. I highly recommend this book.

I have read all of the Lovestyle series and fell in love with each and every one of them. This one is no different.

I'm not massively into time travel but this is no ordinary book about time travel, I can tell you. The minute you meet Molly Smythe, you instantly know she is going to be your friend for life. We already know Charlie so are absolutely rooting for them both all the way through.

Once again, Kiltie has created a book full of characters you know you are going to love and find yourself never wanting to leave Lower Ditchley.

Roll on Book 5!

Another beautifully written, heartwarming love story from Kiltie Jackson. This one was a bit different to the others in the series as there are two time periods. Kiltie describes each very well and makes you feel like you’re actually there with the characters.
Catching up with the characters from the previous books was like visiting old friends or family.
And once again this story has both tears and laughter mixed in.
A fantastic addition to the series. I would highly recommend this, and the previous three, to anyone who enjoys a good love story that’s not overly sweet and sloppy.

Where to begin? Thank you Kiltie Jackson for such a beautiful story. I don't give out many 5-stars, but I couldn't give A Timeless Lovestyle anything less. This book was perfection, from the gorgeous cover to the last satisfying word.

This felt like a modern fairytale, but with a sweet, sassy, and smart Heroine. We are reunited with many of our old friends from the previous four books. Along with meeting some new ones, who I look forward to getting to know in future Lovestyle books. Thank you for the romance and the love!

This is book 4 of the series... I have pretty much skipped through the series literally, reading books 2 and 4 so far. I am sure it's a great idea to start from the beginning, but it's possible to fall in love with the characters as you meet them wherever you start. This is the wonderful story of Molly and Charlie. They are lovable and their's is my favorite story so far. I love time slip/travel books and am used the backwards travel... so this was really fresh and different to read. For once, our heroine gets to ditch the stays rather than put them on! Well written and fun to read.

A timeless masterpiece

After reading the first three books in this series I was looking forward to reading this. I was having a tough time (just lost job small and had a small car accident) I just couldn't get into the plot. I promised myself that once in a better place I would start again. I'm so glad I did. There was a strong story which not only carried itself through this book but you remember the previous novels as the characters intermingle. The characters are believable and you want to jump right in the pages and be with them.

My usual genre is crime fiction and the gritter the better but from time to time, I like to read something different and have a couple of authors that I read for escapism and Kiltie has joined this small group. It's a charming warm funny story with some bittersweet moments that had me hoping for a happy ending which normally I don't usually like. It's the fourth book in the series but like the rest, it is original and slightly different. Definitely a series worth reading.

I have totally fallen in love with this series and the characters. Enjoyed the telling of Charlie and Molly’s story and the time travel element was a stroke of genius as we discovered how Molly coped with things we take for granted. I loved her descriptive words such as talkyvision for television and talkyphone for telephone. A cleverly written storyline which came together so beautifully, sorry it’s the last book in the series.

I read this immediately after Artisan which I think detracted from my enjoyment of this book as they are both very similar in style. Some of the same characters feature in both books. Most of Kiltie's regular readers have rated this a lot higher than me so perhaps look at a wider range of reviews than just mine.

I’ve been meaning to read one of these books for a while now and I certainly wasn’t disappointed.
Although this is the latest in the series it really doesn’t matter. I was hooked from the first chapter and invested thoroughly in the main characters and their story.
Short chapters kept me turning the pages.
