Allen may have been top dog in his hometown, but to climb the corporate ladder he will have to submit to the authority of more powerful and experienced men. At Stoneset High, Allen McFall was the guy everybody wanted to be. Good-looking, charismatic, and well-liked. As the captain of the football team, he was comfortable calling the shots on and off the field. The only exception to that was Brandon Talbot, but that’s another story. Enter the real world. Nobody cares how popular Allen McFall was in high school. There are bills to rent, electricity, car payments, food. Lucky for him, a friend of his father, the partner at a sales company in a nearby city, can guarantee him an entry-level position with commission and a large benefits package. With little more than one nice suit and a wad of cash from his unused college fund, Allen hightails it to the city to take the job. Navigating the confusing politics of an office job proves more difficult than he could have expected. When Allen's ego starts to get the better of him and he accidentally reveals the questionable way he landed such a great entry-level position, his on-the-job performance comes under scrutiny by coworkers. One coworker, in particular, turns up the heat. Fortunately for Allen, he has some experience working under pressure.
