Who would have ever thought that flower essences could be so powerful and healing?! Well they are and this book will show you exactly how. It’ll show you the actual physical steps on how to create your very own flower essences as well as how to use them in your life to transform your world and facilitate your healing as well as the healing of the collective.

It details how to work with flower essences for connecting with nature such as the moon cycles and Mother Earth, how to use them with balancing your chakras, working with trauma & systemic oppression (how flower essences can support multi-generational, intersectional healing), and certainly last but not least how to meditate with flower essences for ritual, protection, and grounding. I really appreciate the amount of helpful information the author has put into these pages. She has given us a guidebook that we can use over and over again with recipes and healing techniques that hit our senses and open us up.

The illustrations by artist Chelsea Granger, which are ethereal and detailed, are used cohesively throughout the book to beautifully display an array of flowers and other concepts. It’s definitely a book that is pleasing to the eye for a quick browse as well as for a more detailed read.

Thanks to Netgalley, publisher and author for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The Bloom Book is much more complex than i expected. More than just about flower remedies, the author goes into ways flower remedies can be used in conjunction with other therapeutic modalities such as Reiki, or allopathic medicine. It's quite insightful for those new to spiritual concepts such as intuition or chakras but those well versed could just as easily skip halfway through the book.

This wasn’t what I expected. I expect if I had been brand new to flower essences, divine feminism and other topics relating to balance, emotions etc then I might have had a different opinion.

As a herbalist though, this book didn’t offer me any new information.

The art is gorgeous, and that was what I enjoyed the most, but it won’t be one that joins my reference library.

I love a good homeopathic book and this one is full of information and guidance. I can’t wait to see what else Heidi Smith comes out with. I received a free review copy from the publisher in exchange for my honest unedited feedback.

Excellent discussion of all things flowers and healing. It is a reference book, to be read over and over again. The author has a profound and comprehensive understanding of flowers, plants, and healing. I loved it!

Highly recommended for gardeners, holistic practitioners, and people who are mindful. This is a very provocative, but beautiful book about flowers and colors and flower essences. Highly recommended!
