I liked this emotional second chance romance. Artie and Rose fell for each other in high school and then Artie loses his best friend in a car accident. He pushes Rose away and then just leaves town and gets involved in some bad stuff. Now ten years later, he is back but can he be the man she needs? Fast-paced read with plenty of drama and steam. I really liked it.

Dreams Lost and Found
Artie Wilson and his best friend, Lee, faced the future after high school with excitement and anticipation. The plan was to go to college, get degrees, and after graduation, to start their own business. For Artie, the plan was sweetened by the affections he shared with his girlfriend Rose Smith. But every hope and dream came crashing down when Lee, leaving the graduation party, was killed in a car accident. Suffocated by grief, Artie’s life went off the rails and he lost himself in the haze of grief and depression. For the next 10 years he existed in a parallel world of an MC club where he allowed his despair to numb him to life and to the activities through which he floated, both legal and illegal. But now, Artie was beginning to see through the 10-year fog that had surrounded him. He appreciated the acceptance he had found in the MC which had allowed him to grieve, but now, with his vision not clouded by grief, he recognized that this life was only existing, not living, and it was not really who he was or what he wanted.
After Lee’s death and Artie’s disappearance, Rose had carried on with her life, and now 10 years later, she had become an honored member of the business community where she had begun to rise in a world often dominated by men. But she never forgot her young love, Artie. She missed him, and grieved for the lost dreams they had shared, but she moved forward with life, relocating from the town of their young love. She never found a love to replace Artie, but she was satisfied with her life. However, there were times when she had thoughts of those sweet, youthful days of young love. And, when she was asked to meet with a client in her hometown, her mind once more drifted to thoughts of Artie. And, as fate would have it, she and Artie end up in the same bar in their hometown and the old feelings re-emerge.
But, fate doesn’t allow second chances without a price. Both Artie and Rose face forces from the present that will challenge the love of the past, and place barriers in their paths that only true love will allow them defeat.
In her second chance at love romance, Brenda Ford once again challenges her readers to explore the perils and triumphs of love. The love of Artie and Rose, even after a 10-year separation is strong, but the forces working in the present are equally strong and motivated to separate the more matured lovers, but a HEA ending is possible.

Will they get a second chance together?
Tempted was an good second chance love story about Artie Wilson and Rose Smith. They were high school sweethearts who had plans for college and then afterwards. But everything got thrown off course when Artie's best friend Lee was killed after a high school graduation party. Artie fell into despair and basically withdrew from his life and future. For the next ten years he was in an MC where he was able to hide and drift along. But now things are starting to change for him. Rose in the meantime had graduated from college and was building her career. But she never forgot the boy who was her first love and when their paths cross again Artie has become all man. But now that they have very different lives will they be able to rekindle their love and have a second chance?

Rose and Artie were sweethearts when they were younger but the death of a friend sends Artie into a tailspin of grief. During this time Rose tries to be there for him but he ends up leaving. Now years later she is on a business trip and runs into Artie at the restaurant her business meeting is ending at. When Artie sees his Rosie again after so much time has past he knows that he needs to talk to her. He follows when she goes to the bathroom and then asks if they can talk after she's done with her meeting. Anxious about seeing him Rose agrees but once they start talking its was like it had been between them before. They end up spending a heated night together but Artie knows that he needs to fix his life before he can be what she needs. Will the MC let Artie go? Will being with Artie put Rose in danger?
This is an emotional story about two people getting their second chance. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

What a sensational new second chance romance from Brenda Ford filled with heartache, grief, healing, forgiveness, passion, and love. Artie and Rose were high school sweethearts with so many plans for a future, until a tragic accident changes their lives. Now years later they are reunited but will Artie and Rose be able to overcome past mistakes and put presents problems to rest in order to finally find happiness together? Tempted is a heartbreaking yet heartwarming new book with characters readers will fall in love with. I loved this book and can't wait to read more from Brenda Ford.

Tempted. A great read about two high school sweethearts that find their way back to each other after tragedy. Artie falls into hard times and turns to gang life until he runs into his ex-girlfriend that he never stop loving. They rekindle their love with a price on their head that nearly kills them. The author has given us characters that we can care about. Rose and Artie were serious high school sweethearts until Artie loses his best friend in an auto accident. He does not know how to handle the grief, he pushes Rose away and tries to escape his grief by leaving town. Ten years later they find each other again and would like to pick up their relationship. But will Artie be able to leave his bad boy life behind?

I thought this was a good romance read. I enjoyed the story line and the flow was pretty good as well. Characters, Rose and Artie have not only a strong past but chemistry as well, even after years apart. Artie is the one who is struggling with inner demons and Rose sees only the good in Artie even though he's broken her heart. How many chances at a forever love will these two have?

Interesting story of how a guy, Artie, goes off the rails and joins a motorcycle club in a distant city when his best friend dies during the summer after they graduate. He drops his high school girlfriend, Rose, whom everyone thought he would marry. They reconnect about ten years later but sometimes love just isn't that easy. It has some action and a good plotline. Good read.

This is a go to author for me, no matter what. You cannot go wrong with her and this story is no different. I love when characters in the story were high school sweethearts and now they see each other again. A perfect read.

Tempted by author Brenda Ford. This is a sweetheart of a second chance tale. Ok maybe not all sweet- there is some moments when it’s gritty - that’s what makes it more intriguing. That little bit of darkness makes you want more- and Brenda delivers!!

Tempted is a second chance love story between Artie and Rose. They were high school sweethearts separated by tragedy who are reunited years later. This is a good story with likable characters and an HEA. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
