I was really torn between three and four stars here so lets call it 3 and 1-2. I really like the beginning of this book, but the middle almost lost me, then the story was completely redeemed by the end. So it left me with a smile on my face which is always good. I got this book as a kindle freebie, so I was excited that it was a full length novel and not just a teaser.

By day Daisy is an accountant. She spends her time doing taxes, taking care of her slightly crazy aunt, and putting up with the mother who was never there when she needed her, but now always manages shows up when she is least wanted. By night, Daisy becomes Catwoman, a professional dominatrix. Where she spends her time in Mistress Minerva's dungeon spanking various men. And never the worlds shall meet.

Until Duran walks into Daisy's accounting office with a shoebox full of receipts and mutual instant attraction. Which is great until Duran also later walks into Mistress Minerva's looking to be dominated by none other than Catwoman herself. Luckily Catwoman is always masked. But eventually Daisy will have to reveal herself.

So yeah, I ended up liking this one in the end. I had seriously mixed feelings about every single character in the book, and there were quite a few of them, there was not a single character that I liked all the way through. In the beginning Daisy seemed genuinely happy with her life (except for her mother, which was to be expected) but through out the book she lost her sense of self. I didn't like the way that she referred to herself as though she had multiple personalities, as though Daisy was one person, and Catwoman was another. I liked the fact that in the beginning she was strong, and confident, and dominant, and I hated when she started to lose that halfway through the book. I was sure this was going to turn into every other bad BDSM book I'd ever attempted to read where the dominant woman "realized" that she didn't need or really want to be dominant and suddenly realized that she was in fact submissive if the right man came along to dominate her. I almost stopped reading because I felt it heading that way, and it actually did reach that point, but (hopefully i'm not spoiling anything here) Daisy snapped out of it, and decided to be who she really was. And was strong enough to decide that if Duran couldn't accept her then he wasn't right for her anyway.

There were so many weird peripheral characters in this book, and so many strange subplots. In total they were interesting, but certainly not all necessary. Overall I was completely creeped out by Duran's father and how he was connected to everything and everyone seemed forced. There was also some unnecessary conflict, but it all did add to the story.

Overall it was an enjoyable read. I would probably read it again, and suggest it to others.

I read Catwoman and Dominatrix and I was all over this story. Sadly, it bored me to death before it got to the actual story (aka dominatrix parts).

I liked the idea that the heroine used Catwoman as an avatar for her sexier, stronger alter-ego, but it was also apparent that Daisy/the author neither knew or cared about the actual character of Catwoman. Which bothered me, as a comic book fan who was looking forward to having a fun kinky tribute to one of my favorite fictional heroines.

Setting that aside the start of the books is a very information heavy introduction to the lead and her day to day life as an accountant, with slivers of her darker, fantasy life as Catwoman. But it felt like we got way too much information that I just didn't care about, like her accounting client Chole, who was a ridiculous cliche of an erotica/romance writer. (Side note: I felt Chole was supposed to be a tongue-in-cheek poke at the genre this book is from, but it wasn't funny and wasted way too much of my time.)

Also, for a woman who has embraced her sexuality and specifically her desire to dominate men I didn't feel like Daisy actually knew anything about the BDSM lifestyle or even what domination was like, much like why it would be appealing for a woman. The portrayal of dominance felt like an outsiders perspective, it amounted to playing dress up and shouting orders at men. That really disappointed me since when you put the name Dominatrix in the title of a novel I expect to see at least a little honest to god Domination.

Sadly, this book reads more like "How Stella Got Her Groove Back" with a VERY light BDSM theme, that has a lot more to do with dressing up and role playing as comic book characters (written by someone who know nothing of the actual comic book characters).

This is miss-packaged and very disappointing for me.

Mild mannered Daisy, CPA by day and 'Catwoman' Dominatrix at night. Daisy Dominatrix starts off at a gallop and continues at a fast pace through the whole book, wondering which way the story will turn next. A good dose of humour and intriging characters, make this book an enjoyable read. The erotica is tasteful and not overdone.
Despite a number of grammar errors, give me this book over 50 Shades of Gray anyday!

Zany, fun story of a domme

Breezy, chick lit style of writing that put a humorous spin on Daisy the Domme with an alter ego of being an accountant during the day. In the breezy style, there's a ton going in with drama from the mama, the aunt, a gay friend, a former boyfriend, the new boyfriend, the new boyfriend's dad and former fiancee, and a secretary. It's zany with a HEA.

The downside was the editing. If there was an editor, the author should demand a refund. I skim read and still got stuck on illogical sentences. And then there were the typical lazy typos: That/than, bare/pare, of/off.

This had a lot of potential and there were parts I liked
BUT
It was full of areas that dragged on about nothing much and had tons of typos/errors.
I can't say I liked it. But I didn't hate it either.
This is Erotica Romance but it just rambled way to much. The Cat Woman/Batman thing was a bit 'Tongue in Cheek' and Daisy never came off very domineering to me.

This is the only book I have read by this author according to my shelves. Though GR's constant breaking what works has been know to kick books off my shelves or rearrange them incorrectly.

This author is new to me. I really enjoyed her writing. The characters had depth and evolved. I appreciate the dysfunctional relationships and hurtful communication. Daisy and Duran are well suited for each other. I liked the BDSM integration. The author allowed the reader to understand the basic concepts of D/s dynamic.
Hollie Jackson did an outstanding performance of bringing this story to life.

PussnBooks.net Reviewing the darkest erotic novels we can find.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book is my favourite book by Jenna McCormick so far!
It was steamy and saucy, made me snort occasionally and also had me furious with the MC’s mother at several points, lol.
I love it when a book gets under your skin.

DAISY - Daisy is such a character. A bit of a quiet subdued soul by day but an awesome “Catwoman” dominatrix by night. Something she keeps as a secret.
She has a bit of a troubled past with her mum and I’ll be honest, I spent a lot of time getting pissed at her mother for her!
Anyway, Daisy meets a new client for her accounting firm and immediately dubs him as her “Batman”. Only later on she is blown over when the same dude comes into her other place of work looking for a session with the elusive Catwoman.
Of course, she recognises him but she has on her kink gear and a mask, so he doesn’t know it’s her.

DURAN - Now this guy is hot! He pretty much sweeps Daisy off her feet right from the first meeting. But wait! Turns out he has a few family issues of his own and possible skeletons in his closet. Also, when he’s alone with Daisy, he is nothing like the sub he is with “Catwoman”.
Will the real Duran Price please stand up?

This was an excellent book for those of you who are curious about the BDSM lifestyle and want to get to know the terms and feelings or personalities involved.

It was an emotional rollercoaster too, I mean the feels! Just when you thought it might be all sorted out, something else comes up and messes it up again. And who of us haven’t toyed with letting our “other” side out to play?

SEX SCENES - The sex between the two MC’s was hot! I love a dominant male but this also showed me how a submissive male can be a turn on too!

FINAL THOUGHTS - I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a bit of BDSM and some steamy sex. I didn’t find it dark at all but it certainly was hot!

I offered to review this audiobook because I am such an an avid reader but also almost exclusively audio due to my schedule. Because of this, and the fact that a bad narrator can destroy a great series, I can be very critical of narrators. Especially when books have a single narrator required to speak with different voices for multiple characters. Most cannot do it without having some errors where they use the wrong 'voice' for the wrong character. Hollie Jackson does a good job in narrating this book. It was a very enjoyable listen and I didn't have any issues distinguishing between characters.

As to the story, I am not one to give a lot of specific story details since I feel you should read the story for that. However, I will say that it is a romance that covers some intense issues in way that isn't too intense to enjoy. It includes the BDSM scene but not in a hardcore way. It has good character development, great story line that that has several twists I didn't see coming, and a happy ending. You won't be disappointed if you give it a try!

Durian Price walks into Daisy's Accounting firm in need of a bookkeeper and then into her other life where she is Daisy Dominatrix also known as Catwoman. Daisy keeps her two jobs and personalities completely separate until Durian joins her in both of them.

Switching from Catwoman in total control to Daisy the accountant and into submission to the alpha side of Durian comes slowly but naturally to Daisy. The switching from one to the other becomes more difficult with newspaper articles, the need to find a balance between both worlds and the responsibilities of her Aunt and Mother. Things get more out of control with the interference of her unknown half-sister and Durian's father.

Daisy Dominatrix offers a fun and entertaining look at one part of the BDSM lifestyle, keeping everyone safe, privacy guaranteed and with only consensual legal participants. The variety of characters, the witty dialogue keeps the laughs coming from the beginning to end.

This is an amazing read / listen! I don't even know where to begin to express my love for this book! It was the perfect balance of BDSM with out being over the top. I love Daisy's character! Her humor is infectious and her inner struggle is so real that anyone and everyone at some point in their lives can relate to some of her conflicts. Daily's relationships were so well written that I could totally see her being one of my best friends. I was totally invested in her as a character. I loved the family dynamic as well. Oh, and the narration - Hollie Jackson was perfect! Overall this is a perfect, wonderful romance read - great story line and great flow - I could not put this book / listen down!

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Sweet and spicy

Jenna McCormick is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. I’m lovin her latest: In Charge of You

I absolutely loved Daisy and her secret double life. She was smart, independent, witty and she knew exactly what she wanted

Duran was definitely swoon worthy. He was sexy, sweet, strong, and he also knows what he wants but are they the same things as Daisy?

I don’t want to give too much away with a summary. But what I will say is this sweet and spicy storyline held my attention right from the start. It was fun, It was funny, it had angst and drama, it was sexy and more importantly it had a great love story

If your looking for something fun to read, definitely give this one a try!

All accountants are not boring and wear pocket protector!!!

In Charge of You is the first book I have read by Jenna McCormick and I was not sure what to expect. The book description looked like it might be both interesting and funny and I was right. The author has written a thoroughly engaging story that is well developed with fun and interesting characters. Plus add in some really hot BDSM kink and you have yourself a really run book.
I look forward to reading more by this author in the future and recommend this book to anyone that likes a bit of kink with some fun.

I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

I'm not sure how I feel about this book. Daisy is a "boring" CPA by day and this in control Dominatrix by night. She's constantly disappointed by the people in her life and doesn't seem to have a back bone, other than occasionally standing up for herself with her mother. Duran is a Dom with occasional sub tendencies but refuses to acknowledge them when the woman he loves needs to be in control. I don't really have more words about this book. I just couldn't connect with the story. It wasn't bad. It wasn't good. It was just meh.

I'm wavering between 3-4 stars for this book. I don't understand why they needed to have two weddings, and I think the Catwoman reference was too over the top. My feeling is that the author could've done a better job by integrating the Catwoman traits into Daisy's personality, thus making her have more confidence, and believe in herself. Also, there were so many grammatical errors in the book. I can't believe the publisher let them go by unnoticed.

Riddled with issues and inconsistencies. Cannot recommend any one spend their time or money on it. Luckily, I picked it up for free during a promotional sale or I would be demanding a refund.

Disappointing because it had the potential to be amazing. A good editor and proofreader would have helped tremendously not to mention some quality research about the lifestyle. In the end, it was amateurish and too problematic.

I'll never think of catwoman and batman in the same way again...lol

This book is funny, tortured, tumultuous, brave and oh so much better than 50 shades of grey.
Daisy is my new hero it took her a while to find her inner cat woman was there all along and even though she love Duran Daisy deserved respect, trust and unconditional love, Duran is a big doofus who needs a kick up the butt it's a good thing Daisy wears 6 inch heels....lol

I am not a fan of books about the domme/sub relationship, but I am big fan of Jennifer L. Hart so I decided to give Daisy Dominatrix a try. I was pleased that while role-playing was an important factor in the relationship, it did not take up a large part of the plot. The book was about the developing romance between two intelligent people who had to learn to trust.

What a fun book. I enjoyed it very much. I loved how the main characters had to make a decision on who they read my wanted to be and how they fought over power. Love the many twist that took place throughout the book. Would tell anyone yo read this book! Nice job.

This story was just... ok.. for me. The writing honestly kind of annoyed me. The catwoman this and that.. I understand its her persona and all as a domme but it distracted me from the story. The plot wasn't my favorite and the characters were fun but slow. The guy was hott though so that's a plus.

Wow

I am not sure what I expected when I started this book, but I am very happy I did choose it. Daisy is not living her full life when the book starts; reading how she attempts to is very fascinating. Any one interested in the BDSM lifestyle should enjoy the book.
