Fierce Family #3

Fierce: Drake

Rate this book
Drake Fierce is the most chill dude in his family. Nothing stresses him or ruffles his feathers. So it comes as a massive shock when an employee of his family’s firm makes his blood pressure rise and the snarkiness come out in full force.

Kara Winslow’s life was anything but neat, tidy, or perfect like the Fierce family. Dull, boring, and stable were words often used to describe her. Then why does Drake get under her skin and manage to break her unflappable control so much?

GREAT FAMILY SERIES WITH NAUGHTINESS

Mizz Natalie gets my top score of 5 fingers up &10 toes for this Fierce series. I love the 2 battling parents trying to marry their kids off, but picking their future spouses. Lots of Fairy Godfolks sprinkling love dust when the kids aren't looking & even when it's blown in their faces. Plus Mizz Natalie writes a different heart wrenching romance that made me UGLY CRY!!

The books are written and edited well and that’s why they get four stars. The characters are somewhat interesting, but the storyline is becoming extremely repetitive. Mom and dad get involved and introduce their child to someone they’ve picked out, then there are issues and and drama, then happily ever after. It’s just the same story with a different characters in a few little different tweaks. I might read one more in the series, but if it turns out being the same, I’m probably done.

Drake and Kara

Well thought out story of a woman, Kara, and Drake. Kara did not have a good childhood with a drunk father and s mother who left her when she was 14. Drake had a childhood filled with god memories and a big family. These two with machinations from his family end up together.

Opposites

Attract. Kara & Drake are such different people. She is quite and tried not to stand out, Drake being the oldest has been a hard worker but loud. They fight like crazy but the attraction is even hotter.

Best of the series

I've read all of the Fierce books to this point, and this is the best yet. Good storyline, good character development and enough intrigue to keep you turning the pages.

Love this series

Loved Drake and Kara's story. Totally opposite childhood up bringing but both hard workers. Once again like the rest of this series, the sneaky parents are behind the connection!

Childhoods

This story didn't seem so over the top. It came across more real. It felt like Drake fell in love too fast....I believe there should have been more of a build up. But the story was entertaining.

It is from this quote which made me like this author's work.
"He had a great family. A good job he loved. He wasn’t poor, but he sure the hell wouldn’t say he was rich. Not like multi-millionaire rich. His family had the money, he was just earning his now."

Another winner by Ms. Ann! Drake and Kara are co-workers at the company owned by Drake’s family. Drake is from old money and Kara has had it tough in life. He is a very easy going entertainer Kara is straight-laced, they are ideally opposites attract couple. I loved both of these characters and their interaction. Drake’s family thought Kara was a good match for him and did some matchmaking!

The book has a good storyline and kept me captivated from the beginning, I was LOL when I read how Kara took on Drake’s bills on entertaining clients and Drake winging to his parents about it! It was hilarious! I really love these two as a couple and rooting for them from the first chapter! Ms. Ann has done a wonderful job on character development.

Can’t wait to read about Noah’s story

I voluntarily read a copy of this title in exchange for an honest review**

One more offering about the Fierce family, interfering, but good intentioned, parents and grown up children who fall in love without figuring out their parents are setting them up.

Drake and Kara are fire and ice at work, he spends and she's the accountant. When Drake's father decides Kara is the one for Drake, he sets them up with a project so they have to spend time together. Hint: it's just possible father knows best.

Each book in this series can be read on it's own, but all of the series by Natalie Ann are easy-to-read, happily ever after, and each story is different than the others, except for location and recurring characters.

Very enjoyable, this story will keep you reading until the last page.

I have spent so much time with the Fierce families! I just love taking my time with them! The stories give me a warm hug each time I read about a new Fierce! Ms. Natalie Ann knows how to write heart-warming romances. Her characters are real and relate-able. Kara certainly did not have an easy childhood; whereas, Drake's you might say was ideal. Is it possible that these two opposites can attract? I had fingers and toes crossed that they could. Their parents did too! LOL

I received an advanced reader copy, and this my honest and voluntary review.

I thought it was funny Kara got excited over spreadsheets and budgets. I'm an accounting-finance person, so I get her nerdy passion. Drake knew his going over budget and not giving her receipts on time got on her nerves and he liked riling her up. I loved their first date of walking through public gardens and creating paintings and mosaics to bring color into her life. She had an awful life growing up with selfish abusive parents. I was happy to see how warm and welcoming Drake's family was to her. I especially loved his sister Jade who encouraged Kara to have more color in her life. This was a sexy romance with plenty of sweet and funny moments.

Oh my!! You could feel how the sparks were going to fly in this book with the heat and animosity between Drake and Kara. I loved how his Dad put them together on a project and then it made Drake realize how he was drawn to Kara and they came up with the 3 date rule!! Great book. I will say I'm trying my best to keep the cousins straight but it gets slightly confusing at times. Of course I know the Fierce Five no problem and just have to keep these cousins straight with who has been "chosen" for them.
