*SPOILER-ISH*

I really enjoyed this lil' novelette! With the exception of a few typos, it was well-written. And for such a short work, the characters were well-developed. I just wish that the h - Nikoletta - was older than her 22 years of age. 25 - 26 would have been better at the very least, IMHO. Still, she was a surly and likable individual...even when she was stealing shit.
Note that for me, the sex and violence wasn't gratuitous. The sex - which didn't take over the story - was hot, and some of the violence was kinda' funny.
And the H, Oliver...I fell in love with him! He claimed to be a D.A., but there was something else going on with the man. I LOVED his whole elegant, refined, take no shit he could be a mobster persona, and he had me laughing, with his deadpan humor. Cases in point:
*When Nik asked him if he ran over a particular asshole for the second time, his reply is: "What is it with you thinking that?" Oliver leaned toward her. "I love that Maserati. I wouldn't dent that car."
* When Nik comments on his big ol' slong, Oliver just says "I told you that I was Hungarian."
For me, Oliver was a gift that kept on giving.
I'm really hoping that the author writes more about this couple-in-the-making, as this book appears to be a jumping off point for an awesome series. I want to see Nikoletta grow, and I want to know who/what the hell Oliver really is.

I wonder if there is more to this story, I felt like it ended with a question mark.
