HEPATITIS A
Detailed Study on Hepatitis A, Causes, Symptoms and Treatment
Hepatitis is a very deadly disease; its contribution to the current death toll is increasing, and even more so devastating. The reasons for this deaths and loses as it relates to this disease is majorly because of the level of awareness among people.
In most cases, when the list of diseases or health situations are mentioned, people forget about this silent killer for the already very popular health issues; this gives the epidemic even more spaces and opportunities for exploitation.
Hepatitis is an inflammation of the liver, and it has the ability to stay that way or escalate into other conditions like fibrosis (scarring), cirrhosis and even cancer of the liver. There are five (5) main hepatitis viruses and they are A, B, C, D and E.
For the sake of this work we will limit ourselves to hepatitis A. This is caused by the Hepatitis A Virus (HAV). It is a disease that attacks and affects the liver.
The functionality and duty of the Liver in the human body is no new subject; but when attacked by these diseases, the liver becomes incapable of performing its designated function and in turn the all body system is put in serious risk of dilapidation.
This book is intended to bring some level of sensitization to people, telling them almost all that they need to know about this silent killer, its causes, symptoms, managements and treatments.
It is therefore recommended for all and sundry and hopefully a campaign for sensitization will be organized to take this information to the parts of the world where it is needed most.
