Jeff always had a passion for writing. When he was about 12 or 13 he would write many poems and give them to whoever his crush was at the time to try and win them over. People used to read them and compliment him on how good he was as a writer. Jeff realized his writing talent even more at about age 15 when he would go on and write song lyrics for Rap songs. He would go on to use his own lyrics to record his own Rap demos and mix tapes and he also ghost written lyrics for other local Rap artists.
He went on to make rap music until about age 21 and then life circumstances happened causing him to lose interest. As Jeff matured throughout the years he decided that he really wanted to write and publish his own books instead of being a rap artist. Jeff began writing his first book at age 27.
Jeff is a strong advocate for Mental Health Awareness.
This is the first memoir I have read in several years! A great read! I love how real the author is, using his authentic voice! he talks in the voice as I imagine he does in real life, he doesnt sugar coat anything and he doesn't use "prettier" words. I laughed a lot, I got angry a lot, and I was on the verge of tears a few times. Touching. Raw. Real. And being that I was born in Philly and I have lived near the city all my life and I also was a case manager for 5 years in Philly and I am familiar with most of the sections of the city, that just made this even more enjoyable of a read for me because I knew most of the places and streets that he mentioned. Thank you, Jeff, for being so honest. In my days of case management I had many clients who went through the same or similar struggles in life that you went through but rarely have I seen people turn themselves around and pull them out of their circumstances. I commend you for that! Your daughter is gorgeous, by the way! Love the pictures at the end of the book!
In this fine memoir, Jaskolka recounts his teenager and adult years as a white Caucasian male in a predominantly African-American area in the harsh city streets of Philadelphia, PA, as he faces harsh criticism for indulging in interracial dating.
Jaskolka’s confession is well written and candid as he talks about his alcohol dependency, his delicate mental state prone to severe breakdowns, his attraction toward African-American girls, and his conversion to Islam. Filled with both boyhood adventures and heart wrenching moments, the memoir captures the struggles of a young man dealing with constant mental health issues while trying to find his place in the world.
In revealing prose, Jaskolka tells a bittersweet story of perseverance that will inspire any youth struggling with mental health issues.
This isn't my normal fare to read but gave it a shot. I found it well written and commend this young man for opening his heart and ultimately becoming a positive influence. I am glad you conquered your demons and rose up to succeed. Kudos.
I must say, I have lots of respect for Jeff. Anyone who can pull themselves out of that kind of personal hell and remain sane. You have to have the will of the gods, the backbone of Ironman and the strongest coffee around. I found a bit of myself as I read these pages. You never know what each of us go through in life but yet so many people judge us before they know us. Well done and I am deeply impressed and hold much respect for you.
Wow. I enjoyed reading this memoir because this particular story contains elements of my heart in more ways than one. Jeff tells his life journey with both great detail and passion. He bares his soul. As a poetic author myself, Jeff truly paints a portrait with words. I can truly say Jeff's life story is a Mona Lisa! You will laugh and cry reading TWO ONE FIVE.
Have you ever read memoir? This is the first time that I have read one.
Two One Five is a memoir about the life of a Caucasian man who was brought up in Philadelphia. The book gives a sneak peek into the life of author as a teenager and a youngster. Jeff has narrated how he went into relationships. He also told about the things that didn't worked. He narrated about his different girlfriends. The author has shown his true self in the book which is not something that can be done by everyone. He hadn't tried to project a false image to his readers.
Jeff has grown a lot from being naive to a matured person. Whatever he has went through has made him stronger day by day. His love for rapping is something I really appreciate. We all should have some passion that makes us happy from inside. Read this interesting story to know how Jeff came out from whatever he was struggling with.
Have you ever read memoir? If not, then you can start with this. The story is set in Philadelphia, PA. This is not a made-up story. Infact, it is real. It is the journey of author itself. Life gets pretty hard many times. Same happened with the author Jeff.
He had faced so many failures and obstacles in his life. Inspite of facing all these issues and going through trauma, he ultimately defeated all the problems and is a winner today. Even though stress, failed relationships break us sometimes but we should leave everything behind and should move forward in life like Jeff.
What was the miracle that happened in Jeff's life? This miracle is related to the title of the story. Read the story to know the mystery behind the title.
The main purpose of writing this memoir by Jeff was to give hope to hopeless. I really appreciate author for sharing his story with all of us.

Reading about the life of someone else is what I always love. Reading about someone else life always enriches my knowledge and experience. The mature content in the book was much and was hard to take sometimes. Sharing such a deep, dark and personal story with the world requires actual guts. Go ahead with this one.
Two One Five is a memoir written by the Author Jeff Jaskolka. The book is a collection of sixteen chapters that shows us about the life of author, to what all he had to go through in his life.
When the author got a black girlfriend, it was almost indigestible for his friends and people around him. They didn't believe that how he could get a girl outside of his race. But some people complimented Jeff and Jada as a couple. Read the story to know how far this relationship went or what happened next in the story.
Since this book has much mature content, so it is advisable for only adults. The book has sexual content, racism, love, breakup, etc. So, if you are comfortable reading about these topics, then go ahead with this. Overall it's good to read about such a bold topic.

It is basically a memoir, a heady ride where different version of truth from author's life are presented.
There's something about the author, something that makes you feel that he is honest, sincere and brave, and you can relate with. There is a lot to absorb and process, as the story moves forward. It manages to ground its soaring ideas of love, loss and betrayal in strong emotionality. It gives the way to approach the situations & value things. Basically to understand what, why and how the situations were.
I must say, first few pages were totally thrilling as well as heartbreaking for me. I hadn't expected such things there. Narration is good but I think it could have been much better. The amount of thought, refreshing perspective of a totally different culture and certain aspects of author's life that author puts in his book is largely appreciable. To be honest, the book has lots of thrill, chills and suspense, even though some parts are unnecessarily dragged.
As this book is a beginner friendly young adult book, I would recommend this to beginners only.
I found that this book was very interesting. It had me laughing from the beginning to the end. It also made me sad to hear of the tragic deaths Jeff had went through. Jeff had a long battle of depression and tried to get over it by gaining a newfound addiction. I could put my feet in his shoes as he went through the battles of life

💖Two One Five💖 In this memoir, you will dig deep into the mind and life of a young Caucasian man who grew up in a predominantly African-American area of Philadelphia, PA. Despite the obstacles in his path, this man would finally go on to become a social advocate for today's troubled youth. . 💖It's always amazing to read about someone's life and struggles. This is author's story, he has been unfortunate and has faced a lot, the way he described things were heartbreaking, the book basically focuses on his life in his teens and how he dealt with the problems and crisis in his younger age. How he learnt and eventually grew up gradually.
The person he was to the person he has become, is such a big change, the book deals with all the women, his girlfriends, the ones who held him, the ones who didn't made him feel good, I actually can figure the naive teen from whom the smaller life problems could appear huge. I liked the way he didn't hide, he was bold, the book has confessions and basically we can't judge anyone's life but the writing it was definitely good. I am happy for the person he is now. I did enjoyed the book much, it takes so much courage to talk all about this because people might judge it. It has mature content which might not be appropriate for all. I did feel a bit dragged, yeah I will definitely recommend it. So raw. . Ratings: 3.75🌟
Have you ever read a memoir? __ Basically, a memoir book is based on the personal life and historical events. __ I have just finished this book by “Jeff Jaskolla”. He has poured out all his heart and events of his life in this book. Book has “Mature Content” and specially written to devote his love to his beloved daughter. __ At a very early age, he was experiencing something very traumatic. He lost his cousin, who was very close to him, and that impacted him. He was a very cool guy in his childhood. He has a massive interest in rapping and writing poems. Since his childhood, he was usually attracted to girls and had many girlfriends too. Unfortunately by that time nothing worked out for him. That eventually, he became alcoholic and depressive. He had a lot of ups and downs in his life. He had so faced racism because he was white and have complex color friends. But one day with the grace of God and his faith in lord changed his life. ( To know that you need to purchase this book) __ Half of the book is based on the girls and women he chased, his hangout parties, rapping, chatting online, and making hookups. But later he realized what he wants and had it. His life changed by getting dark skin women and now happy with his daughter. __ The writing style of the author is Narrative. Language is really simple and in a subtle manner. At some point, there is a use of bad words. __ I would recommend this book to the people who want to chase life but also to make out something meaningful at a certain age of your life. The book can be considered having a “Young Adult Content”. __ Rated ⭐⭐⭐⭐.2/5
This book is a memoir of author as well as the very first memoir I have read so far.
How do you decide if your journey can inspire anyone or it can not? We think too much about our struggles that we decide not to share them with this world even if they can inspire any single soul.
This memoir takes us on a journey where Jeff is so confused about his love life as well about the purpose of his life. He meets so many girls and gets along with them. Not only this but he shares phases where he was so depressed because of deaths he saw very closely of his beloved ones. It's extremely hard to see your closed ones passing away in front of your eyes. All of these depressing situations led to PTSD ( Post traumatic stress disorder)
I feel that this book majorly shared the phases when Jeff was either depressed or was with girls and definitely got his heart broke by every other girl. The main and the positive journey of his life starts when he reads Quran and from there he decides to take control of his life and to be honest, I loved this book majorly from there only. I believe in single God and every day this faith increases.
He shares his journey of meeting his love of life finally and how they are able to have a baby girl despite having age difference and severe problems is something worth reading.
Writing style is perfect for a book like and narration is done properly. However I feel the narration could be more better especially when he was sharing the phases with different girl friends.
I liked the honesty and bravery with which author wrote this book as it's not everyone's cup of tea to share their darkest phase of life.
The book revolves around the life of author. He had to go through a tough phase of life where he never gets the person he wanted to spend his life. Book clearly shows the relation he was in and what was the outcome. Incidents happened in his life and again he was back to the same place as before. Here, we also see about him what things he had done in life including his bad habits which affected him a lot.
16 chapters showing different stages of life where he meets something and which results that hurt him a lot. Throughout the book most of the part is about the girls he was in relation. What happened to them and how much deep change it takes place in his life. Book shows about the life of the author when he was child and when he become adult. I like the way author speaks about his life which is filled with pain.
How much relationships can affect you can be seen through this book. How one can change after going through lot of tough phase is shown here. Language of the book is very simple to understand. Cover of the book is amazing. Also talk with god is shown which makes it an amazing read.
Publisher : Jeff Jaskolka Pages : 242 Genre : Self Help
Its An Amazing Book Maybe Because I Liked Reading About Peoples Personal Stuff. Its A Story Of A Person Who Had Faced Many Hardship Early On In His Life. As He Is A Caucasian Man & Living In A Area Of Black People. He Could Find Himself On Either Of Side. Author Has Talked About His Relationship With Many Womens & How That All Had A Great Impact On His Life.
Its A Decent Read As Author Has Put Many Things Which Is Unnecessary And Can Be Cut Downed. Thoughts The Story Is Very Engaging And You Can Still Read It At A Fast Pace.
Author Has Talked Alot About His Girlfriends & Hooked Ups And It Play Major Part In His Life. So Its A Mature Content. The End Of The Story Is Amazing & Inspiring.
The Vocabulary Of This Book Is Amazing & Author Has Narrated This Story Very Nicely & The Language Of This Book Is Also Very Easy So Even If You're A Beginner, You Can Read It Easily.
The Cover Of The Book Is Very Decent & I Don't Liked That Much. If You're Looking For Something Like That You Should Definitely Read It. . . . . My Ratings 3.8/5
Two one five by jeff jaskolka is a memoir. In the starting of a book one scene took place and from that point my curious mind wanted to know more and I was absorbed into the book.
The book talk about anxiety how it can create a person alcoholic, religion, racism. Author is a white guy who is attracted to black girls. we get to see the feelings of the author when he hear rumors or gossips about white guy dating black girls. we get to see the feeling of author when he was pulled out by cops for no reason other than he was traveling with his black friends. The most of the book revolves around girls, girls and girls!! The history was repeating itself. He was facing rejections over rejections cuz of this he became a alcoholic. We can almost feel the anger of the author through this book.
The positive and supportive nature of author's family is very heartwarming. Author's life is a example of true love. True love does not discriminate between skin colour, religion, age and the best part of this book is a picture at the end.
I would recommend this book to those who want some motivation to life their life. . . Rating: ⭐⭐⭐.4/5
Recently I have read so many memoirs and Two One Five is another Memoir that I have read. The title of the story is very significant for the author and is close to his heart. The book is about how a Caucasian man who grew up in predominantly African-American area of Philadelphia had to face many ups and downs in life.
I love reading memoirs because it gives me a sneak peek into other people's life and I learn a lot from their good and bad experiences. This is the memoir about author Jeff's life. The most part of the book is about the women with whom he has been involved and the failed relationships he had been into.
Jeff even went to depression. But the good thing is that his passion for rapping pulled him out of depression and helped him to have a good life. There is much mature content in the book and it is so raw. I suggest this book to those who are comfortable reading about mature content. Overall a nice and bold read for me.
This book has total sixteen chapters where author has penned down about his feelings and whatever he had to go through in life.
When he was thirteen years old, the incident of his cousin Brendon being shot in his head impacted Jeff badly. His academic performance dropped and he started seeing a psychiatrist as he was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
As the story progresses, we get to know about Jeff's relationships with girls. So this book revolves around Jeff's life as a child and as an adult.
After going through so much in life the author didn't gave up. That's really impressive. Finally God blessed him on TWO ONE FIVE. You must be wondering what Two One Five is. Grab a copy of this book and read the story to know what it is. The story is written nicely and overall I loved it.
Two One Five is a story of Jeff that shows his personal experiences. It starts from his teenager life when a tragic incident made him suffer with PTSD.
Everyone brag about their achievement but no one talks about their failures. As we read, we see that author has talked about the bad experiences of his life. Doing this definitely requires a lot of courage.
Since this book has mature content so this is not for the children. Jeff's relationship with his girlfriends, his crushes and the hookups all this is there in the story further.
My favourite part from the book is Jeff's love for rapping. Since I also love rapping, I could feel the connection how rapping can make a person happy.
This is a well written book and it gives a strong message. The best way to learn anything is from the experiences of others and by reading this book we can learn a lot from Jeff's experience.
Disappointing Stream of Consciousness Lacking Substance
"Two One Five" by Jeff Jaskolka is a frustrating read that ultimately fails to deliver a compelling narrative or meaningful message. The novel presents a mundane, unfocused stream-of-consciousness narrative. While the author implies he is a role model, the text lacks evidence to support this claim. The book meanders, offering little structured wisdom. A significant issue is the hypocritical use of language. Despite positioning himself as a social advocate, the author employs offensive language. This double standard undermines any claim of being a positive influence. The book attempts to address complex societal issues, but it fails to offer genuine insight, rehashing commonplace observations. The concluding element about converting to Islam felt like a red herring, an abrupt shift that confuses the reader. In my opinion, this book is not worth reading. It is an unengaging effort suffering from a lack of clarity, a meandering plot, and troubling hypocrisy.
Warning: Mature content. 🦄🦄🦄 For the many times that I got behind a wheel completely hammered, it’s only by the grace of God that I am still alive or that I didn’t kill anyone! 🦄🦄🦄 Two One Five is a memoir written by Jeff Jaskolka. At an early age he faced a tragedy that impacted the rest of his life. As a Caucasian man he finds himself struggling to live in a predominantly black area during the early days where he is constantly questioned by both sides on his choices. He talks about his failed relationships, his love for rapping, his failures and also the emotional trauma he had to go through while growing up. All of this led him to a beautiful Angel that made it worth it. 🦄🦄🦄 Now I'm someone who loves reading memoirs, especially those that show the impact if God in a person's life of how the overcame challenges which this book has. BUT! When a major part of the book is about crushes, girlfriends and hook ups, the book is more focused on the girls in the author's life. Yes they played a role in his life and his dilemmas, but was it really necessary to know what they did and how many times they have hooked up?? It's only the first chapter and the last 2 or 3 chapters that were the ones that did not make me cringe while reading. Yes he has probably matured over time but while reading this book I hated the younger version of who he was for materialising women. There few instances that we touch up on the topic of what is actually going on in his life and those moments were the saving grace of this book. The ending of the book was the highlight because THAT is what is more important. 🦄🦄🦄 After reading the blurb I had high expectations but it was a let down. I urge the author to please think about what he actually wants to put forth in this book instead of things that go on behind closed doors. 🦄🦄🦄 Rated 40/100 Melina L.
