The Dark Ones Saga #5

Darkest Sinner

Rate this book
I've always known pain. Existence. Night.
Made a sinner.
Without a soul to keep me tethered to the world I so desperately want to be a part of but am damned to rule…
Life isn't living.
Not when everyone sees you as enemy number one, King of the demon race and yet something much more… powerful and sinister pulses beneath the surface of my skin.
It started when I met her, the power surging under my fingertips like the cruel universe was finally answering my screams at night for something more.
And just like that, the memories come, only I don't know if they're mine or someone else's entirely.

Long ago, I made a bargain with a god.
A soul for a soul.
I spent thousands of years without this awareness and now?
Everything I touch turns to ash.
Even my own immortal friends fear what I am.
Everyone but her. The day to my night.

Part of me doesn't want to know what I am.
But it's too late, too all-consuming.
Darkness is coming.

That darkness, I'm afraid. Is me.

"What happens if the darkness pulls the borrowed soul first?"
description

Darkest Sinner is the fifth book in The Dark Ones Saga. Each book in the series is integral to understanding the full scope of these characters and their plight. I highly recommend reading each and every magical story in this series. Darkest Sinner features Timber (King of the Demon Race) and Kyra. Something unexplainable brings them together and the physical attraction draws them in like two powerful magnets.

description
"I'll find you."
Told in dual POV, Darkest Sinner offers a mythological twist on a passionate forbidden romance. As always, Rachel Van Dyken offers well-developed characters and an intricate plot. The Dark Ones has been a series that I have enjoyed most in part to the diverse characters and the way in which they interact with each other.
"We fell together. We made the same choice again!"
Overall, Darkest Sinner will appeal to paranormal romance fans who enjoy a darker hero and sweet counterpart (for him to devour). I adore this series and Timber and Kyra certainly didn't disappoint!

Kissing Timber was like experiencing hunger and thirst all at once, only to ever feel satisfied when he kissed me back, giving me small morsels of what I needed, what I would kill to have.

👀 Can we just take a moment to appreciate the guy on the cover? 👀

Ok.

And...

I'm done now. 😍

There is something so addictive about Rachel Van Dyken's writing and humour. RVD is SO funny. Once I start reading, I can't seem to put her books down. There are just so many quotable passages. I loved every moment of The Darkest Sinner. There's a running theme in the series in which everyone seems to have a suppressed past/identity but it never gets boring. RVD manages to always keep me on my toes. I love that she's able to intertwine mythologies to create an exciting world of gods and other creatures.

I definitely wasn't expecting to love Timber so much because Mason has always been my favorite. But now... I think they're both tied for favorite Heroes in this series! Timber is a mysterious and tormented bar owner. He has a bit of a rough personality but I couldn't help but crush on him (sorry Mason!). Kyra was also an interesting heroine. She's sweet and it's impossible not to like her. The tension between Timber and Kyra was frustrating at times but well worth it when they realized who they were to each other.

It was so good to see all the other characters again. I'll never get sick of the banter between the guys. There's something so heartwarming about found families. Tarek, a werewolf, was also a great addition to the team.

Sure the writing isn't perfect, but hey, I don't care, I'm here for a good time. My only major criticism is that the book is too damn short! There's a lot of information jam-packed together. Often times, things needed a lot more elaboration. I wish there were more modern-day Timber/Kyra scenes.

All in all, if you're looking for a series with humourous banter, time travel and fated-mates. Look no further. I can't wait for the next installment!

Gosh did I enjoy reading Darkest Sinner.
Darkest Sinner is most definitely NOT a standalone because the secondary characters who do play a key role in this book are from The Dark Ones Sage and I don’t think you would truly appreciate the true characteristics and charisma of those characters if you haven’t read their story.

Darkest Sinner - Teaser 1.jpg

I am a sucker for mythology and this one played right into that genre. Kyra and Timber’s story was such an entertaining read! With a storyline that captures the essence of destiny and soulmates, from adventures that thrilling to time traveling that excites you, Darkest Sinner is a definite must read!

I love that Rachel Van Dyken has written contemporary romance books that have different tropes to paranormal romance books. She writes them all so very well and I have loved every series written by RVD.

It is never a waste of time to read a Rachel Van Dyken book so grab this book ASAP!

You know, I just finished this series because I didn't have any other in mind to read but it was alright. Nothing great, not a lot of depth, we see all the characters in every book but the interactions were not enough for me. I don't know how to explain, the series was nice just not great.

Let me begin by saying that although this one is billed as "the next stand-alone novel" in her Dark Ones series, it is not. In fact, I have read each previous book in this series, and I was still horribly lost with this one.

I think I know where the author was trying to go with this. And honestly? I am IN LOVE with the idea of soulmates. Of two people destined, or cursed, to roam the earth forever searching for their missing half. I am also down for having one of those people be "reborn" time and again until the link is completed.

I remember the first book in this series. It was intriguing. It was page-turning. It was AMAZING. And then somewhere, the lines became blurred. And instead of it being a pretty straight forward story, we started getting mixed blood. Now this person wasn't what we thought they were, they were really this spoiler. And this person was a spoiler mixed with another spoiler.

What started as one of the best paranormal series' I had EVER read.. became something unrecognizable. It became so confusing that I oftentimes found myself utterly lost. Forgetting who was what.

This, unfortunately for me, was the case when it came to Timber's novel. He was freaking fantastic as a demon. There was the potential for redemption.

And then

***SPOILER ALERT***

SERIOUSLY DO NOT READ ANY FARTHER UNLESS YOU WANT IT SPOILED FOR YOU.

THIS IS YOUR LAST WARNING.

***END SPOILERS***

It's obvious that I am going to be in the minority here, and that's fine. What didn't work for me will no doubt work for someone else. And on the whole, I don't think this was a badly written novel by any means. For me, it was just entirely way too confusing and too out there for me to fully enjoy.

DISCLAIMER 1: There seems to be some confusion as to why the low rating. It wasn't just because of what I mentioned in the spoiler section. It was because there was so much going on, and so many characters that were crossed with this or that, that I honestly didn't know who was who or what the heck was going on some of the time. It isn't that the author is a bad one - not in the least. It was just this story (as with the last couple in this series) has created entirely new species, but so many of them that it's impossible to keep track of them. Instead of a cohesive story, I'm left trying to decipher who, or maybe more accurately what, this character is, and how they relate to the story being told.

DISCLAIMER2: I received a complimentary copy of this novel in exchange for my honest review. This has not affected my review in any way. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are 100% my own.

The Darkest Sinner is part of RVD's The Dark Ones Saga but it can easily be read as a standalone.

I have enjoyed all the books so far in this series because each story is so well developed. Timber and Kyra's story I felt wasn't as fully developed as the others so I was a bit letdown with this one. However, it's still a great story and one I thoroughly enjoyed.

RVD does a great job of explaining the backstory of who Timber and Kyra were and came to be, but I felt that their present day story wasn't as fully developed. I wanted more of interactions between them and banter before everything came to a head.

RVD really knows how to keep her readers engaged in the story and keep things not only interesting but highly entertaining. Timber is trying to figure out why he's suddenly having changes to happen and no-one has the answers. Kyra's on her own since her parents have once again gone off another trip and she is working at Timber's bar.

There is a lot of attraction between these two but that also creates a lot of tension between them. This is where I wanted more depth in the story because it felt that things quickly moved to the next phase of the story and this tension is never truly expanded upon. It is in that next phase where RVD excels and has her readers enthralled with the plot and characters.

Overall, I did enjoy this story. I did want more of certain aspects, but I still blasted through this story quickly and loved the majority of it. I am really hoping we get to read more in this series.

Such a quick read but entertaining from start to finish. The characters are always so lively and crap me up, and their love stories see always filled with destiny, fate, turmoil, etc. - I can’t help but get lost in their word.

The Darkest Sinner brings back all of the past characters from the previous books but the main characters is one that was introduced at the end of the previous book. Timber is like a lost soul whose wandered for centuries looking for something he can’t quite find. Until he meets Kyra. Then it all starts to fall into place.

Their love has spanned centuries as their souls fought to find each other again. What an epic love!! I was thoroughly entertained. I can’t wait for more of this series.

Darkest Sinner by Rachel Van Dyken is part of The Dark Ones Saga. This is the story of Timber and Kyra. I have read some of the other books (and Loved them!) but feel this could be a standalone book. Timber is King of the Demon Race, and for some reason has a mysterious tattoo that has started growing on his hand. Timber has a bar called Soul where Kyra happens to walk into to get a job. Kyra has always felt something was missing from her life which starts to change when she meets Timber. Timber's friends have been trying to help him deal with this mystery that has invaded his life but no real leads, then he meets Kyra who may unknowingly have the key. . A mystery lies there between them, which they both start to acknowledge.
Another great and exciting read by Ms. Van Dyken.

Let me start off by saying paranormal is not my go to genre. That being said, I could read Rachel’s all day long. I may even have a crush on Timber. Ok, I totally do. The twists and turns kept me flipping the pages, holding my breath and freaking out. The unexpected devotion this couple has for each other just gets bigger and better as the story continues. The sexual tension is through the roof. You will have a new appreciation of light vs darkness and it’s not what you might think. Darkest Sinner is full of power, intensity and unapologetic love that nothing or no one can extinguish.

OMG, this book was freaking amazing. I have no idea how Rachel does it. Timber was everything and more and his story has been so worth the wait. I'm not saying any more than that as I don't want to spoil it for anyone but if you've read the other book then you really really have to read this. I would recommend reading the other before this as from other reviews I've seen people were getting confused, I've read all and found I following everything that happened.

Two souls separated for hundreds of years as a curse for breaking the rules. For loving one when you were promised to another. But when your souls are apart they search for one another to be made whole. No matter the time nor the distance, the search continues until their hearts are reunited.

Timber is searching for his soul mate. She may be the only one able to save him...in more ways than one.

Kyra meets Timber at her job. She feels something immediately for him. She has no idea how or why. It’s just there, like she’s drawn to him.

Timber feels that pull as well. However, he needs to concentrate on figuring out about a curse that is slowly killing him. Kyra is ignorant of their world, except for the dreams she’s been having. It may all be connected.

A Demon, angels, gods, a vampire and a fairy...this story encompasses all of your PNR favorites. Timber has lived for a thousand years without love, so he’s not the happiest of demons. Kyra has found her place where she belongs. Both their worlds will be turned upside down. They will have to fight both the past and the present to get the future they have been searching for.

Wow how did I enjoy Darkest Sinner! I read most of the books of the Dark Ones series (which can be read as standalone) and it was a bit of hit and miss for me.
I was so pleasantly surprised by this opus and Timber/Kyra story. I don’t want to spoil the story but I was very impressed about the back story linking the two characters. It was a fresh take on mythology which I really enjoy and by doing so Rachel opened the door to a new character who I would love to read more about.
This book was not re-heated paranormal background but as I said took a very original outcome on how Timber became who he is and I loved it.
In usual Rachel ways the chemistry between Timber and Kyra is scorching and while sex is not central at all in their relationship it is still very hot.
It was a really emotional book and even if I laughed a few times with our Dark Ones I di get teary eyes a couple of times.
The story really flows nicely and I almost devoured it in one sitting.
All in all it was a great book and I would definitely recommend it to any paranormal romance fans!

Fantastic😍

I have waited for Timber’s story for a good two years now and even though the characters weren’t as fresh in my mind and I didn’t have a chance for a reread like I had hoped, it didn’t take me long to pick it up again😁

Timber and Kyra are the main characters of this fantastic story and without giving anything away, he meets her at Soul, the club he owns when Tarek gives her a job as a bartender. Timber is not pleased with this, but allows it and the preceding domino effect that cascades this decision💕

I love this series and seriously hope it’s not another two years before we get the next one, as there are at least another two books that could be written based off the characters I read here❣️

Timber sometimes has issues with his woman's fashion choices, "Timber stopped at the door and very slowly looked over his shoulder and barked. “Wear more clothes tomorrow.” I looked down at my jean shorts and crop top..." Kyra has some great comebacks “maybe you’d get laid more if you understood them!” It's never boring in this series all the men love to agitate each other with their teasing and I loved seeing the characters again.

Copy kindly received for an honest review.

Timber's was a story that I wasn't sure how I would react to. We've met him in previous book, and he definitely grew on my as I read along - but his actual story was definitely more than I expected. As all the bits and pieces come together, things slowly start to make sense and I liked how everything played out. Enjoyed this and looking forward to the next book.

Darkest Sinner can be read as a stand-alone book, but you’ll be missing out on some great backstories and a lot of humor if you don’t read the first four books in the series.

Vampires, Angels, and Demons, oh my! Yep, the paranormal gang’s all back! And while I’ve loved all of The Dark Ones Saga books, I think this one is my favorite. Yes…I realize I said that about Mason’s story (Darkest Temptation), but dang it, Rachel snuck in this really hot demon king, and she had me hooked and HAVING to know Timber’s story. But it so did NOT go where I thought it would go based on the last part of Mason’s book. Nope. Not one bit. She did not take it in the general direction I thought the story would go. Instead, she took it in an amazingly twisted journey that had me reading well beyond my bedtime. You’d think after reading so many of Rachel Van Dyken’s books (and honestly yet to find one I would NOT recommend), I’d know better by now than to start one of her books after 7 pm. Yet, I did. And I didn’t put it down until my iPad smacked me in the face when I literally couldn’t keep my eyes open any longer. But I quickly picked it right back up the moment my eyes sprung open the next morning, refusing to get out of bed until I was DONE! And what can I say other than Timber has my heart and soul. *Sigh*

NICUnurse’s Rating: I would not call myself a huge paranormal romance fan, but when it’s done really well, I can absolutely lose myself in the other realm for hours on end. Unfortunately, not all paranormal books and authors appeal to me. But as a long time RVD fan, you had to know I was gonna love––and be totally invested in––this series. And Timber’s cover?! I think that’s what made me fall in love with him even more. Hello, hot stuff! OK, OK. I’ll chill. I’m totally a cover whore. If the cover doesn’t appeal to me, I’m less likely to pick up the book and give it a try. Sorry, not sorry! (Actually, I’ll still pick it up if it’s one of my auto 1-click authors but maybe more grudgingly.) I digress…

Anywho…Timber and Kyra are now my favorite Dark Ones couple. With a love beyond the bounds of time and space, their story is definitely not one you’ve read before. It’s the ultimate second chance romance, and I give Darkest Sinner by Rachel Van Dyken 5 out of 5 stars!

I think I've started every single one of my reviews just being in awe of Rachel Van Dyken and her ability to write such fast paced yet meaningful romances. No matter the genre it seems they'll all be up to my tastes.

Darkest Sinner is the final book in the Dark Ones series and it does not let you down. It's like the greatest finale episode to your most awaited TV show.

Timber we meet throughout the series but finally he gets to shine. He's the king of the Demons and has been for so long. He doesn't need a mate because he's fine to roam alone. Yet when a seed starts to grow ingrained in his skin it causes questions as to where his place really stands.

Enter Kyra hired at Timber's Demon bar called Soul, without his acknowledgment. He's not too happy to see her there and then more so as her touch triggers his body in ways he's never felt before.

With the help of the immortal council and his friends, which are fellow Vampires, Warewolf and angel and ah Rach just does an amazing job of encorporating such a diverse paranormal universe.

Timber and Kyra are in for a hell of an adventure that ends with a lot of hidden pasts uncovering and truths coming. A lot of fun action and drama. It's seriously written like a freaking TV show and I couldn't stop turning the pages for a single moment!

Rachel Van Dyken writes books that read like film reels and I live for that. As the characters wrap around your heart and the plots tug you in for more and more until it hits you with that explosive end. There's always a happy ending too and romance which is always a plus.

No one writes like Rachel and that's all I can say. So do grab Dark Ones from book 1 and all the other Rachel reads I continue to recc because she's truly awesome!

Timber. Wow. I don’t even know where to start with him. He shocked me, in the best way possible! I fully expected him to be the full-on ass that he starts out this series being and honestly he wasn’t at all. I first read the rest of the books in the Dark Ones series about a year ago now and have been so highly anticipating Timbers book ever since and RVD did NOT disappoint!!

I think this book is intended to be able to be read as a standalone, and while I do think you can- I’d honestly recommend starting from the beginning of the series. You will get so much more out of it and it will make more sense. I really was hoping to be able to do a re-read before reading this one and I just didn’t have time, and I will say for the first about 30% I did feel pretty lost and confused. I don’t know if thats because I was trying to remember, that made it more confusing or not. Maybe if you have no prior knowledge of this world it may not be as confusing. Either way, Id still recommend starting from the beginning!

One of my favorite things about the Dark Ones books is the amazing and detailed story in every characters past. They’re just so beautifully written. I promise you will fall in love! Even if these types of books aren’t normally your style (they’re not mine), I still think you’ll enjoy it! It’s a quick, keep you on your toes read that will suck you in and leave you wanting more!

also, I think Timber might be my new fav- sorry Cassius!!

Oh be still my heart for I am having ALL THE FEELS. Timber's story was 100% worth the wait. Darkest Sinner was absolutely tantalizing, rich, complex, and left my heart swelling with happiness. I never anticipated the plot twists. I have actual goosebumps as I finished the story and the best part is...there are more books to come!

Timber was delicious! I have been low key keeping an eye on him since he was introduced and watching his story unfold had my heart racing. I loved how his journey was a puzzle and a race against time. Timber's character arc might just be my favorite yet. His missing history is pieced together, he learns who he truly is, but most all, he falls in love. *cue the swoon*

Kyra was a fantastic character, I loved her quirky attitude and her natural draw to Timber, even though she doesn't know why...yet. She grows so much throughout the story, learning her inner strength and her own heritage. I adored the undeniable chemistry between Timber and Kyra, they were sizzling and there was a delicate balance with enough tender moments that this love didn't feel instantaneous.

The gang is all back and causing chaos, as to be expected and I was obsessed. Filled with laugh out loud hilarity, smart remarks, and utter sass, I couldn't put the book down. There is just something about a love story that spans the length of time. I will just be here floating on a delicious book hangover if you need.

Rachel Van Dyken’s storytelling abilities just keep getting better and better. The care she takes in building these worlds you can’t help but get sucked in and fall in love with the characters.

Timber has always been an interesting character – if you’ve read the previous books (unnecessary, though to enjoy Darkest Sinner). Is he evil? How did he get to be the demon he is now? Basically, who is Timber and what is his goal?

All these questions and more are right here in Rachel Van Dyken’s fabulous new story. Timber’s character has a depth I didn’t know was there, and RVD’s words wrapped around my heart and made me fall in love. Kyra is an interesting character; She’s a little lost, but something is brewing just under the surface. Watching Timber and Kyra’s story unfold felt like I was enjoying a good movie – the chosen words helped me envision the scenes and that kept me turning page after page to find out what happens.

The original characters (Cassius, Mason, Alex, Ethan, etc.) are all there to give Timber a hard time and watch as lives are once again about to change. The character I adore and want more from is Tarek – he’s funny, sarcastic, witty, and has a huge backstory that I’d like to read.

Darkest Sinner is an epic love story and is a must-read for any RVD fan.

Absolutely no spoilers or hints :)
I came into this series with a blank slate - I just knew it was paranormal with action and romance - Heck yeah!
Darkest Sinner can be read as a standalone so that is what I did
I fell in love with the cast within the first few pages! Each one was so vibrant bringing their own quirk to the table. And the way they complimented each other only fed into the feeling of comradery (it was like the show Friends but a bit on steroids)
Timber started out as a real horses backside. Grumpy and pushy and thinking he was all that. That was until one tiny little slip of a gal that he had to tilt his head down to glare at handed him his arse on a plate!
Kyra set him off as nothing else could - Lawd I loved that girl's tenacity and the honesty in her fear but acceptance was refreshing.

I do not want to give to much away because if you are going into this blind as I did there are so many OMG moments and revelations that make this story the book hangover that it was.
I had so many questions pop up while I was reading this - heck as soon as I closed the last page I hit my local library and grabbed the series from book one - Yes it was that entertaining
The copy I read was comp

I'm in love with a Deamon and his name is Timber! I thought my favorite book was Mason's but I was ohhh so wrong!

All the gang is back to help Timber find the source of this mysterious tattoo that is growing in his hand. Timber has no real memory of his past until he comes face to face with a beautiful girl named Kyra.

Kyra is all alone her parents are off chasing the mythology, that has been drilled into her head sense she was a baby. She has no friends so when she comes to Timber's bar for a job she becomes friends with Tareck and weather she realizes it or not her life is about to change for the better.

Can Timber and Kyra find out what's happening to him and help Kyra remember why she has such a strong pull to Timber?

Rachel has a way of pulling us readers in and making it seem as if your right there along with them. I love this series just as much as I do the Eliete series and I'm hoping sense we've been introduced to two new characters that we will get a book for Tareck and Horus!

One of my favorites

I have loved this series since the very beginning. In fact, it is my favorite of everything that she has written. This author has created a world that is unlike anything else. Her world-building, her storyline, and finally the characters set up a dynamic that is spellbinding.

The bantering between characters, the diversity in the characters, and their connection to one another somehow works. For lack of any other word, they are magic. I love the back and forth in the characters as they traverse though being immortal Gods to where they are in the here and now.

I've loved Timber since he was first introduced. Kira was yet another amazing woman to be introduced to the mix of woman that are the yangs to these amazing men. This book made me laugh at both Kira's naivety and Timber's begrudgingly acceptance to the notion of having friends.

I cannot recommend this series enough. I hope that the series continues as I need more about Horus and Tarek.

**I voluntarily read an early copy of this title in exchange for an honest review**

I will be the first to admit that I'm not a huge fan of paranormal romance, but I am a huge fan of Rachel Van Dyken and so I wanted to give this book a try. Turns out I really enjoyed it and it has definitely made me curious about the other books in this series. While this is part of a series, you can definitely read it as a stand alone.

Darkest Sinner had me hooked from the very beginning. There was so much that happened and when you thought you knew what was happening and why, that got turned on its head. Timber and Kyra were such great characters. They were both tenacious, fascinating and strong. This was a story where you really found out what someone is willing to do for the person that they love, regardless of what the consequences might be. It was the story of true sole-mates.

Kudos to RVD for another amazing story to add to all of the others she has penned!

Having read all of The Dark Ones books I’ll say I was interested to see how Timber’s story would pan out. He was not my favorite and as usual Rachel Van Dyken took a character I wasn’t too fond of and turned him into one of my favorite characters. And as usual the conversations in this book had me laughing with the different personalities conversing.

Timber and Kyra’s story is different than the others and I never knew what was coming next. I was captivated from the beginning trying to figure out how Kyra was going to fit into the story and what was going on with the seed tattoo on Timber’s palm.

This book as all the others in this series can be read as a stand alone or as a series to have more of a backstory. I haven’t read any books in this series since Darkest Temptation releases almost 2 years ago and had no problems following along and not feeling like I had missed anything with remembering some but not all of the previous stories

First off let me say I am IN LOVE with the Dark Ones series. I love the detail that Rachel puts in all the past chapters. I love the intricate way the stories intertwine. I love seeing the other characters mentioned because this series would not be the same without their humor. My heart will always belong to Alex and I cant believe I am about to say this but Timber is fricken HOT!! From the first day she walks into Soul needing a job Kyra is one of my favorite females. I love the idea of soulmates. That there is that one person in the universe you will find across different lifetimes and some how manage to remember their heart and fall in love with all over again. Even though Kyra is unsure how she feels about her boss she still feels the overwhelming need to help in any way she can. Unsure what she is getting herself into she dives into a past that she doesnt see coming and isnt prepared for and I loved every second of it.

TIMMMBER!  I have just fallen in love with another of Rachel Van Dyken's characters.  Darkest Sinner is book 5 of the Dark Ones Saga and tells the story of Timber the King of Demons.  With familiar characters from the previous books, Timber must find and fix the cause of the tattoo that is growing from the middle of his palm and slowly taking over his body.  With the help and of course love of a beautiful woman named Kyra, Timber's friends risk everything to try and save him before all is lost.  All of the Dark Ones Saga books are 5-star reads and Darkest Sinner is no different.   Rachel has once again created a magical world that will pull you in and never let you go.  Oh to live in the imagination of Rachel Van Dyken must be quite a trip and her wonderful talent never disappoints when she puts her words to paper.

Y’all. Ya know when you see a cover and it fits the story PERFECTLY? This is that cover.

Eek!! What a story!! I’m a big fan of PNR and this made me very happy. Timber has the most wild backstory that will throw you for a loop. He has suffered for YEARS and when this tattoo appears and starts growing over his skin he fears the worst. Things die around him. He doesn’t understand what’s happening or how to stop it. Then she walks into his life and all things change.

While this is the 5th book in the Dark Ones series it can be read as a standalone. I read the other books but with my ridiculous memory, I was still able to enjoy this, so you will too. And of course it leaves you wanting more and perhaps a small glimpse into a future book, which I can’t wait for!

I received an arc and this is my honest review.
