Fascinating! If you like any cooking game show, you had better read this story.
PS. If you used to watch MasterChef (Australia or any other country), I am quite sure that you will be familiar with all challenges stated in this book.
One of those stories with a perfect protagonist who really want cool points. The way he alludes to having supernatural powers and knowing the future really showcases his stupidity. However, it’s difficult to say that this protagonist is bad because his entire characterization lacks of consistency. We also have character goals that are reversed and remade repeatedly and a lot (a lot!) of pacing issues in the story. A big reason for these flaws is that the author loves drama and suspense (or padding word count).
The only upside is that, unlike many similar stories, none of these things are very overt. The story just reads as boring and contrived for the most part.
Combining cooking and going back in time with a game system sounds interesting. However, the execution is pretty dull. Who gets eliminated one by one each round is also predictable. It simply lacks the excitement a cooking competition should have.
