Willow I've always felt incomplete. It could simply be those two years I lost after my fall, but I'm certain it's more than that. I always feel as if I'm missing something important. And the niggling feeling won't go away no matter what I do. In fact, the older I get, the worse it becomes. My friends think I should get over myself. Go to a bar and sleep with a hot stranger. But I can't. My soul won't let me. Even when I'm so drunk the whole room is spinning I can't go home with a hot stranger, because a little voice in my head whispers, Wait Willow. Wait. So I waited...And one day the mysterious Caleb Wolff breezes into my life. He is tall and broad, with steely blue eyes, and full sensual lips. He captivates me, and awakens all the desires I'd put on hold. It's the strangest thing, but everything about him, his smell, his taste seems almost... familiar to me. The little voice in my head stops telling me to wait. When I am with him I no longer feel as if I'm missing something, but then I look into his veiled eyes and I know he is hiding something. A secret. Something terrible. I just want the truth. Whatever it may be. But do I dare dig deeper and risk destroying this beautiful thing of ours? A Heartfelt Emotional Standalone Story That Will Have You Anticipating The Turn Of Every Page.

***4 STARS***

“I’m going to protect you. From now on, I’m going to be the one protecting you. No one will dare hurt you on my watch. I swear it. I fucking swear it.”

This was an absolutely beautiful story. Covering multiple tropes (second chance, amnesia, tortured hero)the author blends them effortlessly.

Caleb is everything you look for in a hero. A lover, a protector, a real man. He cherishes Willow and although she cannot remember their connection he plans their future together. He protects her at every turn, physically and emotionally and you are just drawn to them as a couple. You definitely root for their HEA because they both deserve one.

The author also gives us two epilogues to see how they fare. I don’t want to go into more detail to avoid spoilers but just know this is a charming and lovely story. And the sex if off the charts hot.

I highly recommend this one!

Caleb, you won’t forget me, will you?”

His eyes flashed. “What kind of stupid question is that? Forget you? I would die for you, Willow. Are you planning to forget me?”

I shook my head vigorously. “Never. I love you, Caleb. More than I love myself.”

His face softened. “Then let’s swear it in blood.”

This book seemed a sure winner, with a heart-wrenching, beautiful start like that.

I adore these coming of age young love/first love/true love stories. It's addictive to an eternal romantic like myself.

I knew there was a huge trigger, because I'd found one review, from Lenna Wright-Berry, that revealed the heroine had been raped by her uncle. This happened after she was orphaned and he became her guardian.

But I still persisted because I loved the prologue. It's so heartbreaking and romantic, in a sweet, innocent way. Basically, the 15 year old H, Caleb, helps the 12 year old heroine, by taking the blame for her uncle's murder. At the end, we discover that Caleb hadn't even murdered the pedophile, but had covered for the little girl he loved.

This guy is the most wonderful of heroes. He spent 12 years imprisoned, just to save Willow. And the saddest part is that Willow, hurt her head soon after her uncle's death and developed amnesia.

How could I not read this book to see how these star crossed lovers eventually got their HEA ?

Plus, it had the added advantage of both MC's staying celibate during their 12 year separation. The heroine, despite her amnesia, just found it distasteful whenever men tried to get close to her. The H, meanwhile, refrained from engaging in any erotic back room conversations with other prisoners.

When the H's released from prison, the first thing he does is to visit the heroine's flower shop. The author built up the angst superbly, up to point and I was hooked. He still loves her, but he's afraid of what might happen if she remembers the truth about her childhood rape.

Everything was going well and I loved how the author injected an element of insecurity within the H. Caleb was the perfect combo of the tough alpha male with just the right amount of realistic sensitivities. It was adorable to see how scared he was, that she might refuse to date him.

In many ways, it was realistic, because he'd just been an adolescent when he was jailed, so he's lost out on a lot of what normal young men experience.

Why then, am I just giving this 3 stars ?

Well, these are the main reasons:

🎯 The sex ruined it for me. Don't misunderstand me: I love well written erotica. But it just didn't seem to fit into this specific storyline. The consummation of the MC's relationship, lacked that special emotional tone that I would expect from a couple who's been through so much.

🎯 For one thing, the heroine seemed far too eager, for a young woman who had experienced horrendous sexual trauma. She was kinda sexually aggressive and I would have preferred more tender love-making. I wanted something that reflected the coming together of two souls who feel true love and all that kinda cheesiness.

🎯 Instead, I was treated to some extended erotica, where the H did his due diligence, worshipping at the altar of the heroine's lady parts...

I also wondered where the H had even learned about stuff like that 🤔. Do they get access to Porn Hub, in jail ? 😂.

If it had been another novel, with a different storyline and different MC's, I'd have been celebrating:

But I didn't appreciate the way sex overtook their relationship and their emotional bond started to play second fiddle.

🎯 The minor storyline, about the H's crazy plan to escape entanglement with the mafia's newest Ponzi scheme, was what ruined things for me. It felt like filler and it detracted from what could've been a beautiful love story. Plus the H's loss of all his money, was also a big bummer.

🎯 The ensuing conflicts and the use of an attempted rape as a plot device to hasten the return of the heroine's memory, were also kinda eye-rollingly predictable.

Anyway, the epilogue was cute enough. Maybe I fussed too much. But the prologue had set such a high standard, that I was disappointed when the second half didn't deliver on my expectations.

Safety: No cheating, no OM, no OW and both MC's are celibate during their 12 year separation. The heroine was raped, repeatedly, from the age of 10, by her pedophile uncle.

What a beautifully well-written love story!

My heart ached with the characters and soared with their hopes. I enjoyed both characters. Caleb and Willow have depth and qualities that blend into amazing personalities. They are two soul mates who are deeply, passionately, completely in love with each other and are meant to be together. I absolutely loved Caleb and fell hard for the journey he had to take. This is a story about the power of true love, life, loss, perseverance and the gift of second chances. Overall rating : a solid 4 stars!

Ugh, tears. I loved this book. Caleb was everything. ❤️

Without any spoilers... Caleb is 15 and Willow is 12 when the story starts. They burned her uncle’s house down with him inside (for reasons you’ll have to read about). They make a promise to each other to not talk about what happened and meet up after they were 18. As Willow is running away, she falls and hits her head on something and loses her memory of the last 2 years - and of Caleb. *cries* 😭😭😭

Caleb goes to prison and gets out after 12 years. He’s always watched over Willow somehow when he was in prison and now wants to re-enter her life again, but she doesn’t remember him. He doesn’t want her to gain back her memories (because some of them are horrific) so he tries to win her over without telling her who he is to her.

I’m so glad this had both POVs because I fell in love with Caleb from what I read. He’s been protecting her for years, never gave up on her, never wavered and had no resentment of being in prison due to what they did. All he kept saying/thinking/narrating was that he loved her, was in love with her, she was the love of his life, he wanted to marry her, have kids with her. Swoon.

The ending was beautiful. This hit me in all the feels. I know some people mentioned the storyline and the sex were off for them but it didn’t make this book any less for me. I absolutely loved it.

What an absolutely beautiful love story!
I cannot tell you how much this book hit me right in the feels from the beginning. I'm usually not a second chance romance fan but the way this was written was amazing, the gap wasn't by choice and no there is no other woman or men during this time and for a really good reason!
Caleb is possibly one of the most amazing man characters that has ever been written, I absolutely adore him and what he did for Willow. He's just the right amount of alpha with a sweet side only for his woman.
Willow...she was ok but not my favourite heroine, I felt like she was too easily influenced by her friends and a little too naive for my liking. When she did grow a little it was just ok. The ending defiantly helped me feel better about these two though. I can say that they are have some amazing chemistry that you feel from the first page and the sexy times are great!!!!!
The reason for only 4 stars though is that there is a little inconsistency in the book that got to me and I'm a stickler for those kinds of things.
Will keep reading books by Ms Le Carre though!

This is my honest and unbiased review.

Willow and Caleb were young loves when they were 12 years younger. A lot has happened in those 12 years. Caleb was convicted and sent to prison at the tender age of fifteen for the murder of the local minister and burning the house to the ground. Willow had spent time in the hospital due to a fall that left her without the last two years worth of memories, she had fallen down and hit her head the night of the murder and fire.
Twelve years later Willow is still not remembering those two years, she's now got a small flower shop and works it with her high school bestie. Caleb, now a mysterious stranger comes to town.
I adored these characters and the story had me lost in it.

Wow, This was a great story with wonderful character development, mystery, suspense, tears, joy and of course steamy sex scenes. The storyline has Caleb staying in the background and guarding Willow the woman he loves and has been protecting for years.

Saint & Sinner by Georgia Le Carre is the story of Caleb and Willow.
Caleb has always cared for Willow even at a young age which lead to him to protect her. Caleb made a sacrificed to help Willow from an early age. But something happened and in their present day she doesn't remember him. Caleb feelings are still strong for her and Willow is drawn to him...is this their second chance? Enjoyed their story.

Caleb is love

I really can’t say enough about how much I loved this story. The characters are complex and both pretty amazing. Caleb never faltered on his love, but one time in twelve years. He gave up everything for her and would do it over and over again. Both characters were celibate since they were kids. She had been raped, but other than that was a virgin. When they have sex he states that he “hasn’t had sex in 12 years” but it felt more like the author was playing it safe and bit having him admit to being a 27 year old virgin. He was 15 when he went to prison for her and had been obsessed with her for a year before that. When did he have time for sex? No other woman or other man drama. There is a little subplot about a man interested in her, but it’s unrequited. This story is completely about these two, and it’s one of my favorite things about this book. Too many authors aren’t confident enough in their books and start throwing in random gratuitous sexual etc to I guess make it interesting? But it really makes the characters look disloyal and the author dumb. None of that here. The are definitely steamy scene but they are between the H/h only.

Georgia Le Carre did a wonderful job on this story. Saint & Sinner was a great story. The story was written well, the plot was strong, it filled with so many emotions, that'll leave your jaw dropping several times. Caleb and Willow were strong characters that have been through so much in their lives, their lives have been rough since they were just children. Nothing about their lives have been easy.
Caleb would have done anything he had to protect Willow, she was his world.
No matter what happened, Willow and Caleb's bond, their connection, it was strong. They made a strong pair, they were good for each other, they completed one another, healed each other in a way that both of them needed.
This was a great story. I'd recommend reading it. I really enjoyed it.
Thank you, Georgia Le Carre. Wonderful work :)

Caleb and Willow are in love with each other and know they are meant to be together, despite being young. When Caleb goes to prison and Willow ends up with a head injury that removes all of her memories from her time with Caleb, their lives continue. When Caleb gets out of prison 12 years later, a very wealthy man because of his talent with numbers, his only goal is to reinsert himself into Willow’s life. He’s more than happy for her not to remember the circumstances that she was living in during that time. Unfortunately his prison life follows him into his fresh start. Willow runs a small florist which Caleb frequents to get to know her. Slowly but surely their relationship begins to flourish with Willow having strange feelings of familiarity. But when a jealous friend intervenes and tries to get Caleb out of her life, things begin to spiral. A fantastic story from start to finish. Both the plot and the characters are interesting and entertaining. Caleb and Willow’s relationship emotional. Superb.

Once again Georgia Le Carre has given us an incredible story. Caleb gave up a huge chunk of his life protecting Willow, but a freak accident leaves her without any memory of his sacrifice. Caleb is definitely not a quitter and his love for Willow is not a juvenile infatuation. This story is so powerful and so heart wrenching at the same time. I wanted to cry for Caleb and then shake him and make him tell Willow about their past, but that would have cut out a whole lot of the storyline so it’s probably a good thing I’m not the author. Amazing story by a totally fabulous author, thanks Ms. Le Carre for sharing your talent with us. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Caleb is the most incredible hero. Even at 15 he understands unconditional love. He gives up everything for Willow, to protect her, to keep her safe. Everything he does, all his actions- they are for her. She doesn’t remember him, and he doesn’t want her to remember the events surrounding why he sacrificed years of his life for her. At times I was screaming at him to tell her, she’d rather know the truth, no matter how ugly. But he didn’t, and even when it came to losing her, he still refused. I cannot say anymore without spoilers- but Caleb is a true hero- one I wish there were more of. In him Willow finds her missing piece, her safe zone. It’s such a beautiful, incredible story.

I received this ARC from Bad Boy Update. This is a tornado or emotions, both good and bad, that make this second chance romance suck you from the first chapter. Willow knows something happened when she was younger but she can't remember. She only knows that deep in her soul something, or someone is missing. When Caleb strolls into her flower shop she can't understand her pull towards him, or why he would see anything in her. She doesn't remember that he is part of her past, but she will soon enough. Their story is emotional, tragic and so passionate that you can't help but want them together.

Willow and Caleb's story will capture your attention right at the beginning and keep you page-turning. A second chance romance unlike most you've read. Emotional, heartwarming, heartbreaking and full of twists. Once you begin reading, you'll find this book hard to put down. A story of unconditional love and amnesia. Caleb is the hero of all heroes but I found myself saying, please just tell her. No spoiler here, but this is a great book with amazing characters and an engaging, emotional story line. I read an arc via Bad Boy Update and voluntarily chose to review.

I knew this book was going to have a good heart-wrenching plot when 15-year-old Caleb tells himself he did 'good' while the detective is accusing him of the murder of Willow's priest uncle. Caleb keeps faith even though Willow has lost her memory of the two years she knew him. He learns to play the stock market, gets his broker's license, and becomes rich while serving twelve years. Now released he has plans to reintroduce himself to Willow and capture her love. He soon learns he has worse problems than being a stranger to his one and only love! Lots of tears equal lots of stars.

“It was terrible and awesomely beautiful at the same time. Like a saint who turned into a sinner right before your eyes.”

Timeless devotion, limitless patience and a never ending love that endures all obstacles. This story is tragic, magical and uplifting all at the same time. It’s poignant and heart breaking but filled with the purest love that it makes you smile and wish you had a Caleb in your life. Bad things may happen but he’s there to make everything right again even when you aren’t fully aware of him. He’s in it for the long game and he has quite a brilliant mind even when things don’t go to plan. This second chance romance stole my breath away and I literally could not put it down until I was finished. Will Willow remember her past and all the torment she has forgotten? Will she be able to accept the stark truth? Can Caleb keep her safe? I really don’t have the words to express how much I got lost in this story and it’s pages. Another wonderful story from a very talented author that never fails to sweep to me off my feet.

A five star saint and sinner read.

What a beautiful and very emotional second chance that has it all and will consume you. Caleb has such a big heart and is focused on one thing and that is Willow 12 years later they meet again as strangers but something's there and he proves his devotion.
Love and commitment after so long and with such a struggle is truly amazing and so so beautiful, you could feel it all as the writing is perfect and very detailed and I thought the characters were strongly written with such a good plot some you won't see coming. I Loved It.

Georgia has written a story about everlasting love in Saint & Sinner. The story is wrapped around 2 main characters in Caleb and Willow. Willow has always been waiting for that someone special. But with twists and turns she doesn’t meet him for 12 years. Great storyline that doesn’t disappoint. Will Willow get her happy ever after. She opens her flower shop and works hard. Her best friend wants her to chill and to party but Willow is adamant that she is waiting for that certain person. Enjoy!

This is a second chance romance.

This is the story of Caleb & Willow. They know each other since they were kids. He was fifteen and she was eleven when there was a traumatic incident. They separated, she fell and lost two years of her memory. Now it is twelve years later. Caleb is back, and Willow still doesn't have her memories back from that two year period. They had claimed to love each other, always, back then. Caleb now owns a brokerage firm. Willow owns a florist shop. With Willow not remembering two years of her life, she doesn't remember Caleb. Caleb is still in love with her. Willow doesn't understand the pull towards him. There are things that are revealed in this story, from the past and the present. This is a great story. I love the characters and the story line. Once I started reading I couldn't put the book down. I'm looking forward to more of Georgia Le Carre books.

Once again Georgia wrote an amazing book. Caleb and Willow's story is an emotional, amazing read. Caleb is a little softer hero than the previous Georgia alpha heroes but what he did to save our heroine on only 15 years old is remarkable. Everything he does in his life is for Willow. I liked Willow a lot, she is a great heroine, the writing is amazing like always and the story is captivating and addictive.
