Find out if Dakari and Baylee can bounce back in Everything is Love.
First and foremost i'm here for this crimson and cream love ❤🐘🔺️. This book gave me the right amount of feels and kept me turning the page! The couples all were adorable and I think the author does such a good job at siblingships! Also with descriptions! Dakari and Baylee both had messed up pasts but at the end of the day love conquers all!! Recommended!
Amazing storyline from beginning to end. Aubree can take any kind of story and turn it into something amazing. I loved these characters. Wynter.....please drop her off at the nearest insane asylum. That chick was a piece of work. Mama Marci was a whole handful too. She was a momma bear in its' rarest form lol. The friendships between the men and women were absolutely amazing. Dakari and the fellas were a trip. I loved reading about these couples and seeing them overcome their obstacles.
Wow. Just wow talk about an emotional roller coaster. I wanted to beat the brakes off both their ex's. To have a close knit crew like that to hold you down and call you on your ish is what we all need. This was a great read but I didn't expect anything less.
The story took me through the fire and back again. I don't know if I could have forgiven my man for his poor thinking. But, we all know, love is love. A good love story.
Let me tell y'all something. This was the most bipolarish az sheesh I've ever read, lol. I'm so serious. When I say these characters had me losing hair, ripping edges, and wanting a cigarette when I don't even smoke, I'll pay you! I will be taking a hiatus from all BLP reads because these authors play too darn much. Their stories will give you a migraine, and have your hair turning gray. I just cant deal. This book right here though, takes the cake this far. I don't know what in the living world this author was thinking about as she wrote this book, but I believe it triggered something in the depths of her mind. She wrote the heck out of this book though. She did that...but uuhhh this here ain't working for me. Go on and read it if you're bad. Don't come commenting under my post about your hair loss and addictions. However, it's worth it! 😂
Aubree Pynn did a great job intertwining love and friendship to expose readers to the wonderful complexity that is Black love.
Not only did her main characters Baylee and Dakari have a depth that made them noble and imperfect enough to endear them to readers, but all of her characters were also equally engaging.
The main love story in this multifaceted romance was both compelling and comical. Dakari and Baylee had me laughing, crying, and gushing over how much in love I was with their love. I look forward to writing a full review on my blog and reading more from this author.
This book is five stars, hands down. The author created well developed, multidimensional characters with a carefully thought out plot. This book is one of a kind. On top of creating a smooth story that flowed seamlessly, the characters were unique. You could hear each person's voice, and you could feel the emotions they felt. I found myself laughing out loud at Dakarie and Baylee, and their group of friends. You truly felt the friendship between the cast of characters, as well as the blossoming love between Dakarie and Baylee. This was a book about true love, and this is literally only the second author that I have read so far that actually captured love in her characters. Well done.
Baylee's mouth was what got her Dakari lol That man didn't know what to do with Baylee because she was not what he was used to. They both gave each other what they needed and said that they didn't want. They helped each other grow. I wanted to fight Dakari because he was being dumb and wasn't thinking with the good sense God gave him
I loved Camilla, Akil, Fayven and Xavier! They were a great support to Baylee and Dakari.
Can a sista get a spin off of Fayven and Xavier? Do they get their family? Does he throw anymore of her make-up out?? Does she keep beating him in games?
This was a great placeholder until my boo Indie is back lol
Dakari and Bailey were the perfect match for each other. Not because they were perfect themselves, just perfect for each other. They both had serious heartbreaks yet found the love that was meant specifically for them when they weren't technically looking. I loved the relationships between all of them honestly. I loved the SC State references since they are the sister to my alma mater, Claflin!! This book was a breath of fresh air too for me especially considering the week I have had!! Loved it!!
Oh this book started off with a shock factor and ended with love. I honestly couldn’t put this book down for I wanted to keep reading, even when it was over.
Dakari and Baylee went through it all to finally get and genuinely receive love. They had examples in n their parents and friends but never personally. They both ran from in and rejected it. They loved to see it for everyone else but themselves. She locked all hopes of ever opening up to love away. He was never going to be in the vulnerable place love placed him again. Love won’t let you wait, it makes things happen and you just never know when, where and who.
“Love, it was tricky. It would beat you up and break you down, just so it could piece you back together again. It got uncomfortable when you transitioned with it, but even still, it conquered all. Love was everything, and everything was love.”
Whew! These two were reckless with their mouths! Dakari and Baylee were destined to be together. There was just so much dislike, that turned to like, to lust, to love! The relationships between the guys and the ladies was just everything! The way they all were there for each other was beautiful. I really, really liked Dakari, and felt bad for him after what he went through. But, I wanted to slap the ish out of him for allowing that mess to happen! Ughhh! Baylee, felt real love with Dakari, and couldn't walk away if she wanted to. She loved him that much. Enjoyed it. Another winner AP! Great job!!
First things first, shout-out to Aubree for representing my HU, the best university out there! Hampton University Class of 2016 🙌🏾
I loved the relationships in this book. From the romantic relationships, to the friendships, to the sibling relationships. Each one was special. Being able to have people around who hold you accountable and love you unconditionally is amazing. Although Dakari and Baylee were our main focus, the previews we were given into the other characters kept me equally engaged.
The biggest thing I took from this was you can’t allow transgressions from previous relationships to completely change your outlook on life and love. Relationships are going to get bumpy, even the best ones. But if they’re worth the ride, then patience, communication, trust, and even forgiveness are a must.
AP consistently brings well written characters with great chemistry, funny banter and entertaining family/friends with enough hood and class. My one beef with this story would be that it seemed Bailey immediately forgave Dakari’s infidelity. Accepting and embracing DeAndre I got - it preceded her but him lying and getting head from Wynter was another kettle of fish altogether. It just felt like she got over that super quick and their convo about it didn’t really flesh things out for resolution IMO. But other than that, I really enjoyed this story.
DNF - chapter 2. I all of a sudden have major issues with the teeny tiny heroine trope. I stopped reading as soon as I read "Oh, I didn't see you down there". Being 5'10" I'm over it. Give me normal sized characters. Not every woman is 5 foot nothing with "curves in all the right places" ugh. Annoyed. Done with rant. This may be a good story, but I'm just not in the head space to find out. Reason why no rating.
I’m seeing all of these 4 and 5 star reviews and am wondering if I read the same book. This book was pretty bad - a rushed storyline, the predictability, little to no character development, etc. etc. Some of it just didn’t make sense, or felt really unnecessary. It was like a poorly written soap opera. I finished it because I hate to start a book and not finish it, but this… yeah. I hate to rate it so poorly because this is someone’s work, their craft, but it left much to be desired.
Dakari Summers and Baylee Alexander have been through it with their ex’s and given up on love...Until they meet, their relationship starts off rocky but eventually they become friends to lovers. When everything is going good Dakari’s trifling ex comes into the picture stirring up trouble. This is a bumpy ride of love and forgiveness.
Aubree keeps coming up with beautiful stories. This one will not disappoint you!!! Loved it!! 😘😘🏁💙
Not only did her main characters Baylee and Dakari have depth that made them noble and imperfect enough to endear them to readers, all of her characters were equally engaging.
I loved the plot and characters but could definitely do without reading from the POV of ALL the characters. That isn't typical and really threw me off. The POV would also change each paragraph even though each chapter had a character's name and should have been in their voice. That was really weird.
Wonderful story of family, loyalty, friendship, and love There is drama but it fits in the storyline Black love is precious and this is another great one by Aubrey one of our great writers to pen stories of black families This was a very enjoyable story and you will definitely enjoy it Get your copy and be blessed
Good read! Baylee saw everything through. I don’t know if I could be that forgiving that quick. Wynter was crazy. Just like a person to do dirt and expect a pass
Had me from the 3rd page. Loved how fast paced it was. Loved that Kari didn’t let Baylee’s stubbornness get in her own way. Loved that he loudly admitted to and apologized for his wrongs.
I have become such a big fan of Ms. Pynn's work and this book is an example of why! This was such a great story. And I like how we got a little of everyone's viewpoint, though mostly Baylee & Dakari. Those 2 definitely put us through a ride, but it seemed necessary. They both needed to work on their communication, but I really liked them for each other. They definitely balanced each other out. Great storyline and progression, from start to finish. I ended the book with much hope and promise for all of them. Another great job, Ms. Pynn!
This story deserves 5 stars but the errors got it 4. I loved the bond between the girls and the guys both friendship and relationship wise. Im good Wynter got what she deserved and it was refreshing to read a story about love, relationships and trials & tribulations without a whole lot of drama and craziness it was just enough. I look forward to reading more from this Author
Emotional rollercoaster does even begin to explain the plethora of emotions I felt reading this book! I was rooting for Bailey and Dakari because I knew they could heal each other and that they would be a good fit. I'm so mad with Wynter because women like her make me sick you had a good thing and you lost it move on! But I digress this was an amazing story and you did an amazing job as always Aubree!!!
