Prior to his first professional work, Tynion was a student of Scott Snyder's at Sarah Lawrence College. A few years later, he worked as for Vertigo as Fables editor Shelly Bond's intern. In late 2011, with DC deciding to give Batman (written by Snyder) a back up feature, Tynion was brought in by request of Snyder to script the back ups he had plotted. Tynion would later do the same with the Batman Annual #1, which was also co-plotted by Snyder. Beginning in September 2012, with DC's 0 issue month for the New 52, Tynion will be writing Talon, with art by Guillem March. In early 2013 it was announced that he'd take over writing duties for Red Hood and the Outlaws in April.

Tynion is also currently one of the writers in a rotating team in the weekly Batman Eternal series.

Interesting and complex «new» (at least it was to me, not sure if it was anywhere else in the Batman universe but I never heard of him) villain. A bit slow on the action but a good story evolution. Tynion hold on good so far!

Hmm... I hate to be a killjoy but is that it?

Things were going so well and now after months of waiting, Selina’s ‘big reveal’ is pedestrian at best. I’m sorry but the world’s greatest detective should have been able to deduce what was actually taking place 3 issue ago.

I will say that Jorge Jimenez’s art is incredible. I’d been looking forward to seeing him come aboard and join the Bat ranks for some time; needless to say he didn’t disappoint.

He has drawn what is easily the greatest Joker page in the last 5 years in Batman #90.

Since there was very little Batman in it, the book was better than the others. But the writing is stilted and archaic. Also, the issue opens with Selina talking about how her early criminal days were dangerous because she’d get a bruise that couldn’t be hidden. I... have no ruddy words to say. Literally no one on the planet, especially not a woman, would think in such basic superficial terms. Are you kidding me! Most female representing folk have horror stories linked to innocuous moments and you’re telling me Catwoman, who grew up on the streets, was worried about looking good! What crap.

Did the art just… completely change? It was my favourite thing in these comics by far. There was also a lot of explaning, which for a comic noob like myself wasn't the worst, but I expect it would be annoying to anyone else. It did have some good one-liners though. Nothing happened in this issue.

The Designer first full appearance. Randomly picked this issue up and wow, the intensity involving it was fantastic. I’m going to have to pick up the prior issues of this arc and continue it. The Designer was a cool character.

2024 - Year of The Bat (366 Days of Batman)

Day 171: Excellent way to deepen the mystery while taking the story to a new level. I’m sure The Designer is another of Bat’s main villains but we will see soon enough. Perfect art for this tale.

Good fun.
Other than X-Men this is the best looking comic right now for me.

Catwoman takes a trip down memory lane that actually contributes to the story. The art is amazing.

V short, cinematic, beautiful. Perhaps something is off plot-wise to someone paying more attention, but it would make a good movie to have the Designer.

I liked the story, but that headline is awful and promises yet another arc of miserable Bruce loosing Selina. I'm not here for it. It's old and boring. Hopefully, it's not what's gonna happen, it's just DC being their usual dickheads... but I don't have much hope.
