Beloved and bestselling author Bob Goff provides you with a year's worth of inspiring, unexpected, thought-provoking teaching that will prepare you for the day ahead.
Bob Goff's first two books, Love Does and Everybody, Always, spent dozens of weeks each as New York Times bestsellers with their unique combination of entertaining, witty storytelling, and challenging, surprising perspectives. Now Bob is back with a year-long devotional made up of his distinctive, entertaining, deceptively profound reflections on what it means to live every day in light of the grace of God.
Built on Bob's trademark storytelling and unique way of helping us to see things in a new way, Live in Grace, Walk in Love takes us through an entire calendar year of meditations on how we can step out in love and confidence in every aspect of our lives. More than a tweet, less than a blog post, these devotional readings--accompanied by Scripture--will inspire and galvanize you live a more liberated, love- and life-giving existence than you ever thought possible.
First off- I adore Bob Goff. Starting my day with a motivational message from him is fantastic! His main message- love people. It’s that simple and that hard. Love everyone and you’re set- promise.
Doing this devotional in the mornings sets the positive tone for my day. He breaks down life into such easy, simple steps. It’s uncomplicated and pure, just like the love of Christ.
This devotional is fantastic, highly recommend! Thank you to the publisher for the advance reader in exchange for my honest review.
I’ve just finished Live in Grace, Walk in Love by Bob Goff. He’s written at least two other books, and, if you are a person who needs Christian inspiration and you haven’t already found him, I hope you will find him now. He is funny and spontaneous (he greatly reminds me of some of those wonderful ADHD kids I’ve run across at school) and he is filled with love, overflowing with love, determined to live a life modeled after Christ. His books are inspiring reads.
This is Christian Living/Nonfiction. I loved this one. Well maybe not at first. It was a little annoying in the beginning...and I can't pinpoint the exact cause for that. However, the author's enthusiasm soon became infectious. I loved his use of scripture and I loved his stories. Very inspirational. I can't wait to listen to this audio again.
Having read Bob Goff's books, I was excited to read his devotional, Live In Grace, Walk in Love.
Each day starts with a scripture verse, followed by a short story or anecdote. While there was original material in the devotional, there were also stories that he had told in his previous books.
I love that Bob's main message is to love people and love God. Each day's reading will take less than two minutes but will start your day in a positive way. I highly recommend the devotional (and his books).
I LOVED starting each morning with Bob. He reminds me of the father I always wanted. The one who loved people but loved the Lord too. He is the bees knees and it was a gift. He helped me realize that all these failures I have had as a teacher are not defining my life. I can choose to find love. Love those around us.
Technically I finished this book but honestly I missed some days here and there so I will be running it back in 2025 round 2. Great devotional though big fan
Almost two years ago, I used an Audible credit to purchase this 365 day devotional. I would listen to one a day (usually) on my drive to work.
Bob Goff is one special, radical, love-filled human being. I am forever motivated when I read his books. I catch myself going, "Okay, it's great that you can do that, Bob. But I... I can do a version of that too, I guess. Fine! I suppose can do it. I can do it too, Bob. Happy?" And he is because...he's Bob.
But more importantly, I think his message is a more accurate, true depiction of God than we Christians like to admit. Because God is love and grace. And we're known more for the things we stand against than what we stand for. God stands for love, mercy, and forgiveness. Yet that's not the picture churches and Christians often portray. We lean very heavily into the "stand against" attributes. Yes, God is a God of justice. And He is so very much more.
I couldn't wait to read this day-by-day for 365 days. Instead, I read it over a period of three weeks. I absolutely LOVE Bob Goff and his message of love. I filled several pages of my journal with quotes from this wonderful book.
Thank you Bob for inspiring me since love does. I called and emailed you before and both times were magical lol I want to be like you when I grow up, I’m 25 is it too late lol
A 365-day devotional that was recommended to me by a dear friend. They were short and to the point, always with something to highlight. Bob Goff sounds like he is the happiest, most generous guy around; his message in each devotional always seemed to circle back to love, but there were other insightful words along the way. One of which was incredibly timely for me “We tolerate jobs no longer meant for us. The truth is, too many of us are a job or two behind who we’ve turned into”.
I’ve read all of Bob Goff’s books and just loved them. His devotional was no different! I loved the short but impactful daily reads. He keeps drawing you back to what does love really mean? I loved the verses that accompanied each day and the questions that bookended the reading. It’s the perfect way to start out your day instead of a 3-minute scroll through your phone- get centered with a verse, a mini-story or thought, and a question to focus your day. I highly recommend this devotional and think it would be perfect for teens, recent graduates, and young moms. I think it’s a great fit for many stages of life, but these groups stuck out to me as to ones who could really benefit from the short, but insightful daily reads. Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with a copy. My opinions are my own.
I'm a huge fan of Bob Goff and all of his ministries. I follow him on social media and have heard him speak in public and he never disappoints. So I was anticipating the release of this book and excited to get my hands on any copy. I purchased the hardcover copy and then also received this ecopy through Netgalley.
And like all his other publications Goff delivered. This book starts with January 1st and each day you read Bobisms... Biblical teachings are tied into daily life stories about Bob and his family and are intertwined with how Jesus wants us to live. Each day ends with thoughtful questions and Bible verses are scattered throughout. I enjoyed this set up because the book itself does not offer you a space to write but instead I have a notebook that I plan on keeping with the book to journal while I read. I have read through the book as a novel, and now as the year begins in 2020 I plan to open this book daily and use it in the way it was written. I appreciate the normalcy and humble way that Bob writes. He doesn't try to blow the readers' minds with big words and fancy ways to love and live, but instead, he simplifies Jesus' teachings to guide them in their journey with Christ. I cannot recommend this book enough and I have already added copies to my Christmas shopping list. This book would benefit anyone; no matter their relationship with God. I also believe it is heartfelt and honest and gives great insight into His word.
This book was my devotional for the year. I actually finished a few days early because I really enjoyed it. This book is typical Bob Goff full of encouragement and love. I really enjoyed it.
Wow 😳 😯 🤩! What an awesome devotional. Highly recommended. Truly was a treasure to read. It’s a year long daily adventure to gain rich deep nuggets of wisdom.

This is my second year reading this daily devotional. Bob Goff's ability to think outside the box inspires and intrigues me. He does not fit the mold of your typical devotional writer. He is a tad quirky and daring. His openness, honesty and passion for all people is evident through his actions. Each day, he shares personal experiences that bring the scriptures to life. His witty and daring stories offer encouragement to love everyone as we live our lives in God's grace.
This obviously took longer than the year for me to finish. But it was good. Repetitive at points, but overall did ask some good questions for further thought.
