This review is for books 4-5 on Audiobook.

Good but confusing
Good premise. Interesting characters but there were waaaaaay too many inconsistencies between books about past characters and the overall story arch.
Also, needs an editors eye for grammatical and spelling errors.

Listened to this on Audible. The only good component was the narrator, I’d give Austin Jay 5 stars.
Every character is either a doormat or a complete jerk. There is so much illegal activity (kidnapping, fighting, all kinds of illegal work practices) that is never fully addressed. I don’t know how Shawn (the worst personality in a sea of horrible personalities) has managed to keep his job, he has to have numerous HR complaints filed against him. If I had any of these people in my life, I would be cutting them and their toxic crap out of my existence.
I don’t think any research was done in preparation for these books. For example, in the first book one of the main characters, Mark, had polio as a child. Mark is in his 20’s. There hasn’t been a case of polio in the US in over 30 years. That took me a 5 second Google to research.
I continued listening because I kept thinking that it couldn’t get any worse, but the author kept surprising me.

December 31, 2020I was given a free audio verion by the author and the GRR arc team for review.
First I will say the narrator did a brilliant job. 5 stars. Nice voice, good pace, expresses all the emotions and differentiated the characters voices and they all were pleasant.
Book 1: DNF TOD 35%
-Uneventful plot
-Men acting like children
-Sooo many things offended me and I don't get easily offended
Book 2: 4 stars
Book 4: DNF TOD ch 8
-Uneventful plot though I did notice the author finally used the correct profession. Paleontologist vs Archeologists which would have been easily prevented in the previous books with a 2 second Google search.
-the first scene with Uriel and Sam made me already hate him and seeing how sweet Kenny was made me right away feel like he could do a lot better.
-Men constantly fighting and acting like immature children
- By this point I'm just wondering how omg these people are going to sit around and fight instead of looking for a new job and I'm not at all interested.
-Offensive derogatory language about disabled. No excuse for that even if the said character is a dick.

I really liked this series.
All the characters are interesting even Shawn (but only in his book)!
There are errors and inconsistencies but overall I like the writing style.
Rick and Logan's relationship came out of nowhere in Book 2. But they are the first "traitors". Is there a book I'm missing ?

I like the overall story and writing. Just too many inconsistencies and lack of character follow up in subsequent stories.
