This audiobook doesn't even weigh in at an hour and a half, and it contains two stories. I honestly believe that short-form fiction is much harder to write well than longer-form fiction. I definitely had issues with both of these books. The first novella/short story was more told than shown, always a disappointment. It didn't just have a prodigious initial information dump, but information dumps seemed to alternate with actual scenes throughout the entire story. If you need more room and time to tell the story, well … take it! The second book had some charming moments, especially when the hero and heroine sang together, but again, it simply was too short to show anything meaningful. I didn't like the narrator at all. Her voice is so flat that it is mostly monotone, and at times I thought her dialogue sounded as if it were spoken by a robotic voice, not a human one. Seriously! As you can tell, this set didn't quite do it for me. These two authors have written wonderful stories, but neither of these could be termed that.
I received a promo code for this audiobook, but that did not affect my review.
I listened to the audiobook version of this duet of short stories and enjoyed each story written by Dawn Brower and Amanda Mariel and narrated by Claire Nicholls. Each story embraces a snapshot into Fortuna's Parlor, a gaming hell for women, and the one night of the year when men are allowed a glimpse behind the mystic of the parlor. It is Christmastime in Regency England and each short story is a perfect listen (or read) during a lunch hour or short commute into the office around the holiday season.

I enjoy the sweet clean holiday romance from the past. A prince. A dukes daughter. A seamstress and a bodyguard. Love was in the air for thaws couple that have loved from afar and find the courage to open up and say so.
Nice to be introduced to Claire. I found clean clear bouclas but would have liked the accent associated with the land.

This title encompasses two short stories, of Christmas magic, for two different couples, each with attachment to Fortuna's Parlor. Each are of attraction that each person has felt, but up until this period, has failed to voice. It is wonderful and romantic, with a special touch of Christmas magic
I was able to start and finish this all in an afternoon that was filled with interruptions a plenty. These are 2 separate love stories. One about the muse of a prince, who couldn’t imagine he actually liked her. The other about a woman who waited too long to get married - focusing solely on her business - until it seemed too late to find love.
They are both set around the holiday, and the couples live in a time where spontaneous decisions to wed were a common occurrence and you got what your got. Both stories were fun, endearing, and chaste, with very little innuendo, while still maintaining a romantic feel.
The narrator Claire Nicholls did a great job. Her accents were understandable from one another. Her voice is pleasant.
I was given a copy of this book by the author, narrator, or publisher in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.
Any visit to Fortuna’s Parlor is worth the effort. Two amusing short reads by two amazing authors. Love and Mistletoe by Dawn Brower was my favorite of the two. I love the antics of the Duchess of Clare. And I was glad Evelina got her happy ever after with Luca. Love and Holly by Amanda Mariel was a sweet quick love story. There wasn’t a lot of build up to the love aspect it was more of a mutual feeling between Josephine and Samuel that had been simmering for awhile.

Two talented authors together. Two of my favorite authors have joined together to create this lovely book. Love and Mistletoe by Dawn Brower and Love and Holly by Amanda Mariel were both charming and very entertaining reads. I love Duchess of Clare, Evelina and Luca's happy ending, then there is Josephine and Samuel and they were fun too. Great twists in these sweet and clean historical romances. This one will put a smile on your face happiness in your heart. I hope you take on a chance on this charmer. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
A quick Christmas themed book composed of two very short reads that revolve around a ball for family and close friends only held in a very unusual setting. These are both sweet clean historical romances that help set the tone for our own upcoming get-togethers with family and friends in present-day celebrations. Delightful!!

This book is two very short stories and almost as much time spent on reading the teases for their other books. That being said, both stories are short and sweet. Even though the stories are written by two different authors, they are set at the same location at the same time. A great half hour with two simple love stories.

Two great stories in the Scandal Meets Love series a well written set that once I finished reading the Arc I had to have my own copy. The stories are Love and Mistletoe by Dawn Brower and Love and Holly by Amanda Mariel. I recommend this set.
Book 1 was really good except I would have liked the Prince to have put all those who hurt her in their place! Second book was GREAT! Shows what you can accomplish when all pull together but love finds its way even to servants!
How can it get much better than 2 stories from two of the best authors in historical romance! Both are entertaining and delightful and you will fall in love with the characters and not be able to stop once you turn the first page!
Two novella bundle featuring Love and Mistletoe and Love and Holly. With a big helping of spice just so its not all sugary sweetness. It is taking place in a den of inequitity after all.
Two great Christmas stories. These will put you in the holiday spirit. I received a free copy of the book. And am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
