Stolen Magic

Bitter Enemies. Stolen Magic. Inescapable danger . . .
Aria Renault was sure of three things: she is one of the best magical protectors there is, she gets cranky when her assignments take her too far from the beach, and she hates Damian with a fiery passion that will last throughout time.

Damian Faustus has done some stupid things in his long life, but the worst by far was leaving his soul mate, Aria, at the altar all those years ago. Three hundred years later, they can't be within a mile of each other, or sparks will fly, and not the good kind.

Now, an evil mass murderer, who was responsible for Damian walking away from Aria, has escaped from a high security magical prison. The Legacy Council is forcing Aria and Damian to team up to capture him. They say time heals all wounds, but bitter disappointment and heartbreak are still burning strongly in both of them. Can they put their differences aside long enough to capture a powerful killer who is threatening the entire supernatural world?

A slap to the face may be quite continental

I would very much appreciate it if authors stopped suggesting that abuse is the same as affection.

For this book, the author had the mmc, Damien, go out of his way to deliberately humiliate the fmc, Aria, in front of her entire family and the whole town. For the next 300 years, he never once apologises or tries to explain and instead chooses to continue berating, insulting, and harassing her.

I love how strong and independent this author's female characters are. Though they reluctantly accept help, they're never on the sidelines but always in the mix.

Aria is one of these women. She works hard and loves her home close to the ocean. She had her heart broken a long time ago by Damian, and if she never sees him again, it'll be too soon. But neither of them expect to have to join forces in search of a supernatural killer. The excitement begins, and emotions run rampant as they struggle to not only work together but to decide whether there is anything left of connection they used to have.

It's relentless action and mystical adventure from the beginning with an enchanting romance that crosses the ages. It had everything I wanted from a supernatural novel, and I especially recommend it for young adults.

Want a magical adventure and romance that will leave you hungry for more—literally! After all the amazing foods and desserts described, I’m left craving more of everything. I loved the magical world Webster created but the chemistry and tension between Aria and Damian is what kept me turning the pages. It was so easy to get swept up in their history, knowing how deep their connection truly runs. I adore Julie and Aedan and their additions and developments didn’t disappoint. They provided expert comic relief and support to the main characters and story. Hurricane Ember added the perfect balance. The story was well-developed and kept me easily engaged, making for a great, quick read. I can’t wait for the next one!

I read this book as two parts, one in "The cursed lands" box set and the other in "Shadow and Sorcery" box set. I loved every moment of the story as it was a very easy read. I loved the main characters of Aria and Damien as both of them were humorous and entertaining. They were lovers to be married to two people who can't stand each other.
Still there was lot of adventure, enlightenment, clearing of misunderstanding and humour which you may not expect in that particular situation. That kept the story interesting and light for me. Looking forward to their next book together.

I bought this book at an author signing. The cover is just stunning! It drew me in instantly. Then, of course, the story itself is so easy to get sucked into! It was such a good read. The main characters were very likable. I found myself rooting for them and wanting to smack them at the same time. I think the two main characters best friends stole the show! I loved their banter back and forth and their chemistry was great. I can't wait to read more in this series. I definitely think anyone and everyone should pick this series up!

I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed reading this book. I was full of adventure, love betrayal, friendship, family, and of course the evil mastermind it had everything a book should have. I loved Arias character and her spitfire personality. There was so much about this book that I enjoyed, I am really looking forward to the rest of the series

I've read this authors books before and loved every one of them. This one is no different. Although some of it was very familiar to me, the story expanded on the original characters. Great read!
