Meet the Blackthorne men, each one as hot, fast, and smooth as the whiskey that built the family fortune, and the yachts and race cars that bear their name. From proud Scottish stock, Blackthornes never lose. But, one by one, the seven sexy men in this family are about to risk everything when they fall for strong and beautiful women who test their mettle in life…and love.

ROSS

Ross Blackthorne likes his cars fast and his women faster. As the third son, he’s accustomed to living his life without the pressure to succeed that his older brothers face. But when he crashes his race car during a public event, his father decides enough is enough. It’s time for Ross to step up and join the family business.

Holly Brooks has her hands full running operations at the Blackthorne Distillery in Lexington, Kentucky. The last thing she needs is to babysit an unrepentant playboy who doesn’t have any interest in learning what it takes to make world-class bourbon.
Ross only intends to stay for as long as it takes to convince his father he’s better suited to driving fast—but working in close proximity to Holly is more interesting than he expected.

Can daredevil Ross convince good girl Holly that he’s worth the risk? Or is their budding relationship doomed to crash and burn?

4.5 "Strap in for the ride… It’s gonna get intense." Stars!

Race car driver Ross Blackthorne is up next in the 7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes series, and you know you are onto a winner when you read something in one sitting.

"Are you always this direct..? Or is it just me that brings out the best in you..?"

After one crash too many finds his father refusing to allow him to drive anymore, Ross is told it’s time to step up and become a part of the Blackthorne family business, the Liquor making part of it, something he has absolutely no interest in, and which he makes very clear when he starts his training with Holly Brooks.

He was from a different world… A world he’d go back to just as soon as he got the chance…

Having had the Blackthorne business juggernaut buy her family legacy out from under her, and still reeling from the reasons as to why they had to sell in the first place, put’s Ross firmly in the ‘dislike’ column when it comes to showing him how the business works, and what distilling entails. Her pre-judgement of him as a playboy womaniser who would not understand responsibility if it whacked him upside the head, is initially realised when he rolls up on his first day in a car worth millions of pounds. But as they get to know each other she realises that what she found out about him on Google, may not be the complete picture.

"I don’t want to like you… but I do."

Really easy reading, you can tell what’s going to happen quickly, and the author didn’t disappoint with charmer Ross and ornery Holly. They both bring out the better parts of each other, and you will them to find a way to stay together whilst both realising their completely different dreams for the future.

"You make me feel things I don’t understand…"

Philip is up next, and I hope he is given a story as enjoyable as this one. I also hope we get to return to King Harbour because the story-line that started there with The Blackthorne parents has still not been resolved.

ARC received from author

After a horrific crash on the race track, Ross is given an ultimatum by his father. Quit and go home and learn the family business. He meets Holly again (although he doesn't remember the first time). He learns the business and falls for Holly, but doesn't want to work the family business. Will his dad relent when he hears Ross' true business desire. Now what is going on with Ross' Mom and Dad. I'm pretty sure that isn't all cleared up to the last book in the series. On a side note, it was really weird to read a book by Ms. Harris and Ian Black not make an appearance, hahahahahaha

4.5 Star Review of Ross (7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes # 3) by Lynn Raye Harris

Lynn Raye Harris is a new author to me and I have no idea why I have not heard or read her before. This is the third book in an exciting new series from multiple authors and is Ross and Holly Brooks’ book. Having read the first 2 books in the series I was intrigued with Ross and how his story would pan out.
The Blackthornes own a diverse range of businesses and Ross heads up a racing team sponsored by the Blackthorne empire; that is until he crashes and his father refuses to continue supporting his racing, wanting Ross to learn all about the Blackthorne Distillery in Lexington, Kentucky.
Ross drives fast and plays even harder so the last thing he wants is to learn anything about the business, all he wants to do is race. However he doesn't count on Holly Brooks who runs the operation at the Blackthorn Distillery and his attraction to her.
The chemistry between Ross and Holly builds, but the question is will it be enough to keep Ross or will the lure of the track be to much for him? Will Holly be prepared to take a chance on Ross, or is her heart destined to be broken?

A well written, romantic, sweet and at times passionate read that kept my attention from the start. The characters were strong and I enjoyed Lynn Raye Harris’s style of writing. I am loving this series and cannot wait for the next book which is Phillip.

This is a fun story I read in one afternoon. It’s easily a standalone, but also a nice introduction to previous and future characters in the series.

What I got from the book is a story about two independent people struggling with what they want for their own futures but becoming stronger together. I liked Ross from the first page. Holly... a bit of a prickle bear but I warmed up after Ross did his magic. Once they were a couple, I enjoyed the ride to their ultimate HEA.

I loved being immersed in the worlds of stock car racing and whisky making. Sadly it was easy to picture the fire that hurt Holly’s barrelhouses after the real world fire at Jim Bean in July 2019. Overall, it was a new and fresh setting and reminded me of Kentucky’s beauty.

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

Ross by Lynn Raye Harris is book 3 in the series 7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes written by six other amazing authors! Each book is a standalone but has an underlying story that connects to each book...

Ross Blackthorne a NASCAR driver and heads up a NASCAR racing team that is sponsored by the Blackthorne Whiskey Distillery. When he has a fiery crash his father decides its time for him to give up racing and run the Blackthorne Whiskey Distillery in Lexington, Kentucky. Not fast enough for him but he thinks a few days there and he will be back racing...not. What he doesn’t expect is Holly Brooks, the woman running the day to day operations.

He’s a playboy with a fast paced life while she has patience, tells you like it is...will these two be able to work together, dig deeper to the real person underneath all the hype, share a love for the whiskey or will it all just crash and burn?

Phillip by Cristin Harber is up next but we still don’t have any answers to the underlying story...

Ross Blackthorne is a race car driver but also a Blackthorne. After a crash, his father insists that he stop racing and start learning the family Whiskey business. In this latest addition to the Seven BRides for Seven Blackthorne series, Lynn Raye Harris does a great job in this 3rd addition to the Seven BRides for Seven Blackthornes,
Ross is forced to go work at the Whiskey/ Bourbon distillery outside of Lexington. While there he meets Holly (whose family originally owned the distillery until a fire force them to sell to the Blackthorns). Ross doesn't want to be there and Holly doesn't want him there but as they come to know each other you can feel the attraction grow.
The characters are great and interesting and you can't help but pull for them to find a way to be together and get their Happily Ever After.

Oh so sweet! Ross is an unbelievably sweet man who loves to make the people around him happy. He and Holly were so perfectly matched from the very start. I love a strong heroine, and Holly is definitely that. There was such a beautiful feel to their growing relationship; the way they cared for one another’s feelings and didn’t question their feelings for one another once they realized them was perfect!

Ross is the 3rd book in the 7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes series of books. A different author writes each of the 7 books, yet all are on the same timeline. Ross is by Lynn Raye Harris and I read it as a stand-alone initially, but do plan to go back and read the first 2 books in the series.

Ross Blackthorne is a gear head. He loves fast cars and is extremely blessed to come from money so he can feed his love of cars. While a member of the Blackthorne family, his love of cars has always superseded the family business of distilling bourbon. However, when he crashes his race car, his father demands Ross learn the family business at the Kentucky Blackthorne Distillery.

Holly Brooks has only ever wanted to work in the Bourbon industry and grew up working in her family's distillery until they had to sell their business following a fire. The Blackthorne family bought the location and allowed both Holly and her uncle to remain with the distillery. Holly is a master distiller and as the best at the Kentucky location, it is her job to teach Ross everything about the business from the ground up.

It was so much fun to watch Holly and Ross interact from the moment they met. Holly was bitter about having to take time out of her already insane schedule to teach Ross the ropes, and he was bitter because he wanted to be racing cars and was forced to learn the family business instead. I really felt like Ross was a bit more open and less hostile in the beginning and I loved that he was such an open and generous individual. He totally and completely melted my heart when he was letting kids sit in his fancy cars and talked to them and took pictures just to make them happy. I really felt like Holly started to thaw about Ross being there when she witnessed this happening over and over again.

I felt the chemistry and attraction between Holly and Ross from the beginning. I loved that Holly was so career minded and loved every moment of what she was doing at the distillery. You could feel her joy as she talked about the process and growing up in that area. Yes the attraction was always there, but I felt like Ross and Holly really became friends the more time they spent together and it was a natural progression to lovers. I get there could have been some sort of enemies to lovers description with this story, but I never really felt it, but did enjoy the progression of their relationship.

I broke one of my cardinal rules by reading the 3rd book in a series without reading the first 2 and while I think Ross and Holly's story read well as a stand alone, I do think I would understand more of the family dynamics and history if I had started with book 1. I plan to read all 7 books in the series as each of the authors contributing to this series are favorites of mine. With this being the first book I've read in the series, I was pulled into the family and want to know more.

Although this book takes place over the time span of just a few weeks, it feels like a slow burn mixed with a bit of enemies-to-lovers.

Ross Blackthorne (third brother, and somewhere in the middle with all the boys) loves fast cars and is living his dream as a NASCAR racer with his own team under the Blackthorne brand. That is, until he crashes during a race in a most spectacular way. His father decides he’s had enough danger, and summons Ross to the recently acquired bourbon distillery in Kentucky. He reluctantly agrees, hoping his father will soon see reason and allow him to go back to racing.

Holly Brooks loves her family’s distillery and has a passion for bourbon whiskey. She was heartbroken when a fire ravaged their business, resulting in them being bought by Blackthorne and her family breaking apart. However, she enjoys running the distillery and hopes to take over from her uncle as master distiller in time. When Ross is assigned to the distillery, she worries he will overrule her position. She also knows his heart isn’t in it, unlike hers, and she holds that, as well as online gossip, against him.

Holly being less than impressed with Ross is a breath of fresh air for him, and he makes it his mission to make her like him. That proves to be easier than expected, as Holly is loath to admit, because he is a genuinely nice guy. It takes an ill-fated girls’ night out, though, for them both to admit their growing feelings.

I like how Holly is passionate about her work and doesn’t let Ross’ fame and fortune give him any advantages in their interactions. So when she warms towards him, it’s based on his actions and who he is as a person, not his name and bank account. It was nice to see her kind of struggle with her feelings, not wanting to admit to them.

As for Ross, could he be any swoonier? Sure, he’s a bit of a billionaire playboy, only dating women casually, and valuing his car collection above anything. But he also likes to give back to those less fortunate, even if it’s just by having a chat with him or letting them take a picture with one of his cars. Those things can be coached in front of camera’s, but when someone does this outside of the lime light, it’s much more sincere. He is definitely a book boyfriend to enjoy!

Although it’s a bit of a whirlwind romance, it still feels like a slow burn, because they don’t fall into it straight away. They get to know each other through work and spending time together, which allows for a solid connection.

4.5 Stars for Ross book 3 in the 7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes.
Lynn Raye Harris is yet another new author to me and that is one of the things I love about this great series, I’m getting to find new authors along with getting to know the Blackthornes and the love of their life’s well that’s when each of these boys realise they have meet the one they are destined to be with. The Blackthorne men are all hot, fast and very smooth just like the whiskey that built their family fortune but each one of them is so very different from the last one we have read about and this is Ross Blackthornes story and he is the one that lives in the fast lane !!!!
Ross Blackthorne racing driver by day Playboy by night but a crash on the racetrack has his father demanding he comes back to the fold because it’s time for him to take his place in the Whiskey business but not in Maine he needs to be the Blackthorne presence at the Lexington Kentucky distillery. Holly Brooks is busy running the day to day operations and the last thing she wants to do is babysit a Blackthorne who has no interest in the business, this distillery is her heart and sole after all it belonged to her family first !!
Will Holly take a risk on Ross and will Ross decide Holly is worth staying around for .... guess you need to read the book to find that out.
Another great read in what is becoming one of my favourite series, it’s unique because every book so far has been written by different authors each putting their own spin on this family of individuals finding love. Every book so far has given me all the feels I want and to be honest it’s hard to tell each book has been written by different people. I love Ross and Holly, I love the chemistry and the banter that they share and I can’t wait for book 4. I will certainly be looking at other work by this author as soon as time permits because this story captivated me and I was up half the night reading it in one sitting.
Great job by a very talented author.

Although this could be read as a standalone, I'd agree that you'd enjoy it more read in order of the series. There is a reason it's called 7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes. However, each author has done an excellent job catching up on the overall theme, so if this is your first book in the series and you fall in love with it, which I know you will, you will have no trouble going back and catching up with the other Blackthornes.

Ross is seen as the playboy brother within the family. As a NASCAR driver, although driving under the Blackthorne name, he isn't taken quite as seriously as his other family members. His father wants him to quit driving and join the family business of Blackthorne Whiskey, and when Ross has an accident his father finally puts his foot down. Begrudgingly Ross heads to the Kentucky facility, the heart of whiskey country to learn all he can, or more like put his time in before he can get back behind the wheel, he never intends to stay, that is until his fast paced life begins to slow down.

Holly Brooks has grown up in the whiskey business and hopes to one day take over as the master distiller. Her dream crashes and burns when she hears that a Blackthrone is coming to learn everything she knows. She's been in this spot before where a man thinks she knows more than she does. It didn't end well. Unfortunately, her name isn't on the building, the floor, the barrells, the letterhead, etc...she doesn't get a say on what happens, but she also never expected a man like Ross to speed his way into her life and under her defenses. She's not normally into flings, but perhaps given his lifestyle, she'll allow herself this one time thing, something quick to remember.

Holly and Ross has a great back and forth with sizzling chemistry. The worlds they bring together are sweet and eye opening. Lynn Raye Harris brought a great addition to this wonderful series!

I truly enjoyed this entry into the 7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes series. This story focuses on Ross, one of the middle siblings and cousins in the Blackthorne family, and how he and Holly find common ground even though the initially are at odds with one another.

After a horrific and fiery crash of his racecar, Ross is ordered by Graham, the Blackthorne patriarch, to go to their distillery in Kentucky and learn the whisky business. There he meets Holly who begrudgingly shows him the ropes of the business. Holly is frustrated by the fact that she had hoped to be the master distiller in her own family's distillery until her hopes went up in smoke when their warehouses caught fire and all of their whiskey was destroyed. The Blackthornes bought the last distillery remaining in her family.

Sparks fly when Holly's preconceived ideas of Ross get turned upside down. He turns out to be nothing like she imagined and, as they work more closely together, she also draws him in even though she is nothing like the women he is normally drawn to.

Ross befriends a teen named Billy whose muscle car gives Ross the push he needed to pursue his dream of providing transportation to people who otherwise could not afford it and to create a place that would teach technical skills to those interested in learning auto-body and auto mechanics in a hands-on environment. And, along the way, Ross discovers that he does have an interest in the family whisky business after all.

Kudos to the author for wading into the NASCAR fan base to get racing terms, rankings, and the fan obsession of both the sport and drivers on point. I also enjoyed that Holly had a healthy circle of friends who supported rather than competed with her.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I simply adore this wonderful, heartwarming and very well written story. I connected with the characters from the very start and as the story unfolded I couldn’t help but fall in love with them more and more.

Ross Blackthorne is a filthy rich, sexy as sin race car driver. When he’s involved in a near death experience, while racing, his father pulls the plug and decides it’s time for Ross to learn the family business and sends him to work at one of the whiskey distilleries. Ross’s passion is fast cars not whiskey but he reluctantly goes, knowing he will be bored to tears and hoping his dad will change his mind soon. But the one thing that he doesn’t expect to find is Holly, the sassy, beautiful distiller who seems to hate him before he even opens his mouth. Challenge on!!!!!

Holly loves her job at Blackthorne Whiskey Distillery and making Whiskey has been in her family’s blood for generations. Holly is very passionate about her work and doesn’t want to be stuck teaching one of the infamous Blackthorne brothers the ropes. Especially not Ross who would rather be racing and partying than learning what goes into making Kentucky Whiskey. But when Ross doesn’t turn out to be anything like what social media portrays him to be, can Holly keep her head and heart in the game?

I found the storyline to be delightful and very entertaining. It had laughs, romance and was full of good old fashioned fun. I highly recommend Ross, and the Blackthorne series, at least the ones I’ve read to date, and this reader is anxiously waiting for the next brother to fall. 2 Thumbs Up and 5 Stars.

Loved it! 5 Stars. My first read by Lynn. Ross and Holly are great characters. From the start there are flames that bring Ross to Holly.
Ross is a racecar driver and during the last last his engine blows catching the car on fire. His dad decided it's time for Ross's hobby to end and Ross to become apart of the family company in Kentucky. Ross not happy does as he wishes only to bide his time because racing is his passion not whiskey. Holy who had whiskey running through who blood work for the Blackthornes at the distillery in Kentucky that was her family's until it burned years ago and was bought by the Blackthornes. Unhappy about Ross coming to learn the business she comes off kinda mean towards him. Ross not wanting to even be at the distillery is caring of guard by Holly and her meanness towards him. Can he change her mind about her perception of him? Can she change his mind about what might matter more than racing?
Lynn this street was easy to read and follow. The chemistry between the characters at times comical and passionate. Sass and fiesty describe Holly and sexy, sensitive and strong describe Ross. It grabs you in and keeps you interested. You won't go wrong reading about Holly and Ross. Two characters that have nothing in common to start but find their passions actually are in common but in different ways.

Ross by Lynn Raye Harris is book 3 in the 7 Brides for & Blackthornes series. I’m quite used to reading this author’s military romance books, so this was a big detour for me. But, I love her writing and decided to give this book a shot. And I’m really glad I did! There’s a bit of NASCAR in this book, along with whisky making. Which could potentially be a combustible combination. So…will Ross make the right decision regarding his future with Holly, or will they crash and burn?

While I would love to tell you that all of these books are true standalones, there’s a bit of a mystery woven throughout each one that you won’t really understand unless you read the entire series in order. And so far, I haven’t been disappointed in the books, so I can definitely recommend that you grab book one and commence reading this series now!

NICUnurse’s Rating: Ross by Lynn Raye Harris is a good read. Ross does a lot of maturing in this book, although he was never the spoiled brat Holly thought he was in the beginning. Maybe a tad selfish in some aspects, but he’s an all-around decent guy. And Holly does some growing up, as well. She isn’t so opinionated and stubborn (mostly) that she can’t change her mind about Ross’ true character as he gains some mature perspective throughout the story.

These Blackthorne men are beginning to live up to their true potential, so buckle up! It’s still gonna be a crazy ride! I give Ross by Lynn Raye Harris 4.5 out of 5 stars!

Fantastic!

What a very exciting addition to the Blackthorne series! I was hooked from the very beginning.

An intriguing combination of race cars and whiskey to introduce you into the world of the rich and famous! I got a kick out of Holly’s attitude towards Ross on their initial introduction. He discovered that red heads can be kind of prickly and fierce! I loved the various cars that Ross owned and how Holly grudgingly adored each one.

I appreciated the different descriptions of the whiskey making process and how the location of the distillery changes the flavor of the beverage. This family has made its fortune with distilling whiskey for generations and now one family member has a need for speed which has the family expanding its reach and lending its name to owning a race car team.

This story is heartwarming in that Ross may be disgustingly rich, but he doesn’t have the ego that one would think goes with it. He is kind and caring of others even though Holly wants to hold on the “Player” persona the tabloids depict of him. He helps those less fortunate of him in ways that keep his name out of the spotlight and where it helps the most. A sweet love story where neither Ross or Holly are prepared to fall in love with each other. They are completely different and come from totally different backgrounds. They each have plans for their future that doesn’t share the same life path.

A very fulfilling and romantic love story - with a kick! I loved it!

Fantastic read! Equally sweet and steamy, Ross Blackthorn is one hot read. Holly is a third generation bourbon distiller who has been overlooked by her family. She is both feisty and self conscious. She isn’t keen on the idea of having Ross Blackthorn, sexy race car driver, underfoot and having to show him around his family’s business. Ross is forced by his father to take his place in the family whisky business, specifically the newer Kentucky distillery. Ross is intrigued by Holly and her honest dislike for him and disinterest in his fame. He likes her and finds her fascinating. Holly sees how likable Ross is and his willingness to interact with his fans, offering them more of himself than she expects of someone with his fame.

Daily togetherness at work, leads them to quickly discover they are attracted to each other and things soon get hot and steamy between them. The romance is balanced with them spending time together talking and really getting to know each other. This isn’t an insta-lust story, but definitely one with insta-sparks of attraction. Ross and Holly are both characters with depth. This is a fantastic read, and can be read as a stand-alone - I haven’t yet read the prior two books in the series, but I’m definitely interested after reading this book and getting some hints of the other Blackthorn’s.

Transitions

Lynne Raye Harris has created a dynamic, fast paced yet measured story for Ross Blackthorne and Holly Brooks. Both their families make whiskey, Holly has loved distilling her families Kentucky whiskey, Ross has run from his, preferring driving the fast cars of NASCAR. When Ross is forced from the track to the family distillery he feels adrift. When he learns Holly will be his mentor, things start to change for him. Holly doesn't like Ross, or at least doesn't appreciate his playboy image, but he's determined to show her he's really a good guy. It becomes apparent they have more in common than they first thought. Their passion, determination and goals are ingrained in their psyches but they begin to help each other understand and realize their true dreams. The connection they make through honest dialogue helps them transition from living in the past with old dreams, and nightmares, to where they truly want to be. The excellent descriptive writing of Ms. Harris provides clear, loving explanations of not only the whiskey and NASCAR worlds but of the charismatic characters of Ross and Holly and the family and friends who make their world special. Beautiful conclusion to their story.

The third Blackthorne heir, Ross, is banished to Kentucky by his father after his race car gets into a near-fatal accident. Having to hang up his suit doesn't sit well with him, so he's decided to simply bide his time for a few weeks until he could change his father's mind. He, however, doesn't count on Holly Brooks.

A descendant of whisky brewers herself, Holly already has her life goals in sight. She works hard, hoping to succeed her uncle as the Master Distiller. Having a Blackthorne interrupt is not in her best interests. Hoping that Ross gets bored quickly and goes back to his fast cars is her newest prayer until she gets a glimpse of the man behind the gossip headlines.

I liked the story. Though it moved quickly, I felt the connection between Holly and Ross, enjoying as their relationship grew and changed from enemies to friends, then to lovers. I liked Holly's backbone, and her determination to succeed, but I also admired that she knew when to accept help. Ross is a gentleman with a good heart. I really liked him as a hero.

I look forward to more from this family, and recommend this book.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book.

This is book #3, in the 7 Brides For 7 Blackthornes series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader enjoyement, and to fully understand the series, I recommend reading this series in order.

Ross is thrown back into the company business after an accident that almost ended in tragedy. He is not happy to be there, until he meets his mentor. She is fiery, sexy, and everything he never knew he needed.

Holly wants nothing to do with a playboy who couldn't remember he already met her! It's a crime that he is even there in the first place. Too much has already happened to her family, and she wants to make the most of her position, so she will teach the unteachable.

This story was a pleasant surprise and not at all what I thought I was going to get. This series is already turning out to be great. I love these characters with the heat that sizzles between them, as well as the banter that just makes me laugh out loud. Overall a good pace and a terrific read.

5 stars, Ross will get your heart racing!

I really loved this book! This was a light(I’m used to her HOT series😊), heartwarming sexy romance.
Ross is a race car driver and your typical rich playboy. After a close call on the race track, his father forces him to quit racing and learn the family business(which he has no desire to do). Enter Holly to show him how it’s done and show him what he’s missing in life! Holly is smart, independent, down to earth and not the least bit impressed with this rich playboy. It’s certainly not love at first sight but she soon sees the kind generous man beneath the image.
The character development is well done. The story goes deeper into Holly’s backstory than Ross’. But it’s his conflict and change of heart that plays out seamlessly through this story that makes it work so well.
I love the way the characters and scenery are so vividly described that I can see a perfect picture in my mind and feel the emotions of these characters. Another great book for Mrs. Harris!!

Ross is the first of the 7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes that I have been able to read. Ross is written by Lynn Raye Harris. Just like the other two 7 Brides Series, each book is written by a different author. Each brings their own unique writing ability to the series but still are able to esh the series seamlessly. This one should be the same since these authors have worked together before.

Ross is book 3 in this series with also being the reckless son in the Blackthorne family. A major mishap was bound to happen. Enjoyable bad boy story as Ross finds his place in the family business and the love of his life.

This is not related to the HOT Series in any way but is simply part of the 7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes. Ross would never make it in that military team. That is okay, he is likable as a Blackthorne trying to win Holly’s heart as well as finding his place in life.
The publisher/author gave me a complimentary ARC of the book which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

From the minute Holly realized Ross Blackthorne was too be the new thorn in her side, Holly vowed she wouldn’t be swayed. Wrong. Without missing a beat, Ross and Holly’s story continues the 7 Brides for 7 Blackthorne’s saga from another brilliant author who knows how to handle self-assured, living on the edge leading men. Ross definitely meets this criteria and gives Holly a hell of a lot to think about as she tries to fight not to melt like every other woman crossing Ross Blackthorne’s path.

Exciting from the start, this was a brilliant third book and even though I enjoyed Devlin and Jason’s love stories, Ross’ story was awesome. Holly was a prickly cactus and Ross’ charm knew know bounds, yet both found the best in each other. I especially loved when the reality strikes that they were working towards a singular goal that had nothing to do with what they first envision for themselves. Like all of the other works from this author, the easy going yet fast paced read kept me entertained throughout.

Philip’s Book is next up and I’m looking forward to it.

4.5 🌟

Oh Ross, this guy is super freaking sweet, a sexy race car driver, and a genuinely awesome guy. *SWOON*

Ross gets into a huge accident and his dad calls quits on his career and basically forces him to take interest in the family business at Blackthorne Distillery. He knows nothing about creating bourbon, but someone definitely does. Holly has been working at the distillery for ever and is shaping up to be Master Distiller, the last thing she wants is one of the Blackthornes to come in and hinder that for her, especially such an egotistical guy. But what happens when she finds out just who Ross Blackthrone is? Would that change anything?

This is a fairly fast read, but it did nothing to hinder the story! I am freaking loving this series and adore that they are done by different authors so you get the feel of the different characters. This is super sweet and a great story, I totally recommend it!

PS: I received an advanced copy to read and review honestly.

Ross has been following his dream of racing cars even if his father would rather that he was involved in the family business. After his last accident his father has rescinded their sponsorship, so he has no choice but to work at the Blackthorne Whiskey Distillery.

If it wasn’t bad enough that the Blackthorne’s own the Whiskey Distillery that used to belong to Holly's family but now she has to teach their entitled son everything she knows about the business. She knows that he is only here out of obligation so she will pass on her skills, but she doesn’t have to be nice while she does it.

Although they are complete opposites they are drawn to each other in a way that neither expected and they learn that there is much more to each other than first appears.

Sweet and sexy this story had the perfect mix of humor and romance that leaves us wanting more of the Blackthorne family.

In this third book, we get our chance to know Ross better! I have been trying to be patient, waiting for our handsome race car driver! Who is Holly Brooks? What about Evan Brooks? What do we learn about the Brooks family? What is HOlly's job within Blackthorne Enterprises? What happens out on the track during Ross' most recent race? Who is Martin Temple? What does Ross accuse Martin of? Graham has me as angry as Ross just pages into the story! While I drooled over Ross' LaFerrari, I'm more of a girl that is into his F-150. Dang! Man, I'd love to be Holly when she got to ride in that with him driving! What will happen with Holly and her family? Will Ross get to race again? Do we ever learn what is going on with his mother? Read and see what we learn!
