Dit boek biedt het broodnodige (én genuanceerde) tegengeluid in een maatschappij waar het geijkte huisje boompje beestje nog altijd de boventoon voert.

Fijn dat er meer aandacht is voor het thema, maar het was te veel herhaling, te weinig structuur en iets te zweverig voor mij.

Book about people who don't have children for various reasons, some didn't want them at all others couldn't get them.
The book is split into the four seasons, adding years to these, to tell about the seasons in somebody's life. that makes it better to read.
Unfortunately having kids is still the "norm" in life at least for woman in the eyes of the world.
This book tells about women who make the choice for various reasons not the bring a child into the world and what reactions this gives.
Nice read, also gave me some inspiration for this topic

Leuk geschreven, met veel verschillende inzichten en verhalen. Wel vond ik het storend dat stukjes quotes van geïnterviewden op willekeurige plekken in de tekst staan, terwijl ze niet aansluiten bij de inhoud van de tekst en verhalen ook vrij abrupt onderbreken.
