The maniac John Brideaux is dead, and every member of his Supreme Council is in custody. General Thomas Hayden's attempt to subject America to a dictatorship where he reigned supreme has been well and truly defeated by the Rossler Foundation, leaving Daniel Rossler as President of the United States.

Finally, there will be peace.

But all this time, the Russians have been watching. When the young, inexperienced, Daniel Rossler becomes the new American President, they know they've been presented with their best opportunity to make a move for world domination.

Even worse, within the first few days of taking office, Daniel is confronted with another threat--this one much worse than the Russians.

Remnants of the Eighth Cycle calling themselves the Re'an have for decades been building up a race of superhumans with one goal in mind--to take control of the world. If their leader, Viktor, and his Re'an get their way, the Eighth Cycle would make John Brideaux and his Supreme Council's reign look like a Sunday School picnic.

Billions of people are about to die and there seems to be nothing America, the Rossler Foundation, or anyone else can do to stop the Re'an.

Has the Rossler Foundation finally met its match?

TERMINATION is a full-length novel, the sequel to The Rowen. It is a stimulating dystopian techno-thriller, the 8th book in JC Ryan's Rossler Foundation Mysteries which began with The Tenth Cycle followed by Ninth Cycle Antarctica, Genetic Bullets, The Sword of Cyrus, The Skywalkers, The Phoenix Agenda, and The Rowen.

this was a sad disappointment

I really enjoyed the first 4 or 5 books in the series but the last few and especially this one just ruined it for me. It became because the series became a expanse storyline to build on with each book but it was better has there own unique territories to build not this 3 book nonsenses. The series lost it way went it never gets back to the plot-lines where some chacthers wanted to go to the moon to look for previous cycles tech, why every 26,000 years the cycle ends, or what was the fist cycle that started it all. In option this lack of forethought annoyed me and then the last book over used the application of 8 and 10 cycle tech to solve the problem like using lowdown use parts of nan-nukes to EMP weapons when EMP grandes where already be use by military’s already at time just seemed lack to mugh work when already had the tech.

Another hit book

Ryan has written another book in his Rossler series that is full of sci fi mixed with characters that are like my friends next door. From Daniel, to Rebecca we have men and women who know the difference from right and wrong. Robert is back with all his Aussie intelligence. There are cliff hangers throughout the book. Cannot wait for the next column in the series.

Like the previous 7 books in this series, JC Ryan kept me on the edge of my seat. He has well-developed characters. He also appears to have a crystal ball since this series introduced cataclysmic events which would be real-life events within 10 years from when they were published.

My one frustration is that this book ended with several cliffhangers but no clue if there will be any further books in this series.

I hope there is since I need resolution.

Poor plot shift in story

Historically, I have loved this series. But now, the leaders of Rossler Foundation are now all men.(and drin pplking buddies) This is a huge plot shift and there are really no strong women characters anymore. This is something that made this series unique. Note: I have read 8 books in 10 days, so clearly I previously enjoyed the series.

Book 9?? Or more?? Please??

So, I've pretty much read **almost** (LOL) non-stop through the series. Went to see if there were more than just the 8 books. I feel like I've been left hanging off a cliff with the ending of "Termination." I would so enjoy having this series continued!! It is a fantastic, action-packed series with well developed characters that draw you in.

These Guys Can Never Catch a Break!

When you put out one fire, two more break out and such seems the rule of thumb for the Rossiters and the world. Now even Mother Nature seems to be against them. One more time, into the fray, troops, but this time even the knowledge of the cycles and the Earthbound geniuses may not be enough to circumvent disaster.

Another fabulous book! With his research and development of the story, the characters flow together seamlessly. I would recommend Ryan's books to anyone who enjoys a good reading experience.

Amazing series. Please don’t stop!

Mr. Ryan does great character development so I can see each person clearly in my mind. His mixture of science fiction (or is it?) and human behavior kept me going through all 8 books. I need at least one more! Please?

I really liked this book and the series of books on the Rossler Foundation. Characters continued to deliver page turning action. Surely there will be another book to wrap it up. It ended abruptly and leaves you hanging. Great read. Big D

This is book eight in the Rossler Foundation Mystery series and carries on from the events in the Oval Office in the last book, with the ousting of General Hayden and also the downfall of the maniac John Brideaux. Daniel Rossler has been sworn in as the President of the United States after the death of his female predecessor by Hayden. Brideaux and his thugs are all in US custody and the President has secreted them onto a submarine to keep them out of the hands of all those that want them dead before justice can be served.

This is however, not his only problem. He was wishing that the end of Brideaux’s world conquest would bring peace, but this has just left the world open for a new arms race and a new world power to advance. And it seems the Russian’s want to take advantage of the young and as they see it, inexperienced new President and make their move. The survivors of the secret compound in the Eighth Cycle mountain lab, who revived Robert and his memories, have a need for him to pass on a message to the Americans who discovered the knowledge of the ancient libraries. The Rossler Foundation.

They have news of a remnant of the Eighth Cycle soldiers, who now call themselves the Re’an, and since being awoken due to problems in the complex volcanic compound, they have killed and reanimated an army of super soldiers, forcing the peaceful scientists to do this work under pain of death. They are now ready to start their World Order plan to take over the world. Each soldier can easily take down over a hundred and fifty normal soldiers and their weaponry can kill others from over a mile away and take down planes and tanks from great distances.

This sequel to The Rowen leaves a big question mark on whether the Rossler Foundation can actually overcome the Re’an. Could they manage to create enough new technology to overcome the advantage the Re’an have or stop them in their tracks? They have the advantage of hundreds of years advantage in technology and advanced biological experimentation, making their super soldiers better in every way possible. Increased strength, better vision, hearing, advanced weapons. Every advantage possible. Their plan is to kill all those who will be of no use to them and then start making more people into soldiers to continue to grow their forces.

Daniel has problems to deal with in regards to the prisoners, the Russians and then natural disasters. The events taken in the depths of the ocean and also in the midst of a volcano, are soon to create more problems, of a much bigger danger to people all over the world. An interesting mix of new nano tech, good old human perseverance and determination even when against the odds, and good prevailing over evil. All it takes is one man to do something and this makes all the difference, as readers will see in more than one occurrence in the book.

Another great read in this series, leaving you with events still ongoing. One huge danger has been thwarted, but now a natural one is coming. It leaves you wanting to read the next book as soon as possible, to see what will happen next. I loved reading this one and was just sad to get to the end of it. They are not exactly short books at well over four hundred pages, but they are complex and have a lot of different strands of interweaving threads forming the storyline. I can’t wait to read more! I was lucky to receive an ARC copy of this book from Hidden Gems and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

AN ABSOLUTELY HEART POUNDING READ!!

The Rossler Foundation, can't seem to catch a break, until the next danger arrives. Another ancient area has woken up and decides to take over the world! Not quite recovered from the damage done, with take over of America by the man who made himself President and also wanted to take over the world.
A book, the reader won't want to put down, until the very end!!

Wow! The world hangs on a thread- AGAIN! Only those of the Rossler Foundation can stop the madness!

I love the characters, action, and kinetic energy found in J. C. Ryan's books, and the Rossler Foundation Mysteries fulfill that need for action and intrigue. Attention to detail, plausability, sustained tempo- all contribute to a satisfying read. Readers empathize with those who struggle against insurmountable odds, and know that triumph or death, for the human race, are the only possibilities.

Global in scope, yet focused and as real as fiction can get, "Termination" the eighth work in Ryan's superb Rossler Foundation Mysteries is a fantastic read. Forget sleep or rest- finish the book! You won't rest until you do!

Five out of Five Stars! I heartily recommend J.C. Ryan and all of his writing!

It's been a while since book 7 and in part due to the sheer number of characters, I struggled a bit trying to remember who was who, and who belonged in what series (I kept expecting Carter or Rex and Digger from Mr. Ryan's other series to show up.) I highly recommend not waiting over two years between reading books 7 and 8. Once I had everything and everyone back in the right series, the action keep my attention and moved right along at nice pace.

(X) Termination

Over half way through the book, I finally understood the cover. Extremely cool!! I was wondering if this would be the last book in the series, but I can happily say (cliffhanger) that it won't be. Exciting! I love all of the Rosslerites. It was all just sooo high tech that it was almost unbelievable, but I believed every word of it. This would make such a wonderful TV series, one season per book. Can't wait for book 9.

I have long been a fan of the Rossler Foundation books. This wasn’t my favorite. Nothing wrong with it, I just don’t think the story was a deep as the first few books. Fabulous characters, but they didn’t seem to be the MCs of this story, they were more like side notes. Still a good book, just doesn’t rank as highly as the first bunch in the series. #StillAFan

Another great book in the Rossler series. Wish he could write faster, I've already ready everything he has written. He is a good storyteller, makes me think and opens my imagination to a lot of what if's.
