Right from the start I was hooked into what Lacey was running from & why she was hiding out on Colts family's farm. She just happened to be in the right place at the right time. Little by little her tale unfolds but let me say when you find out it wasn't pretty & not what I expected. So there is a warning there for some who may be disturbed by it.
Colt has had a difficult time coping after a breakup with an ex & finds solace in numerous women. However overtime & getting to know Lacey his attitude changes. There is this slow burn & lots of sexual tension between the two.
I loved how Lacey started to let down her guard & was warmly welcomed into the family. She started to come out her shell & lead a more normal life but as is the case her past comes back to haunt her & she makes some silly decisions.
You also catch up with Blue & Josie from Forged in Love however they don't play a major part in this story.
I like a story that keeps you vested in the characters in the tale & this is one of them.
I so glad after all the trials & tribulations this couple found their HEA.

Oh my cowboy, I was not prepared for this book. There were so many different emotions running through me at one time that I wasn’t sure which way was up sometimes. From the first page I was on the edge of my seat waiting to find out who Lacey was running from and why exactly she was so broken. Then you have sexy Colt with his jaded feelings about love and relationships which left me with questions about his past. However, there was no question about the sparks and chemistry between Colt and Lacey. The fact that the two of them could forget about their pasts while they were together was something they couldn’t deny. Oh and Amber with her sweet and sassy attitude must be mentioned because I absolutely love her. Such an awesome read, I literally couldn’t put this book down until I had answers! I can’t wait until the next one, this series is amazing.

This is book one in the Studs in Stetsons series. This is new series and a new author for me, I look forward to reading more. I enjoyed reading Lacey and Colt's story, it is not an easy one but well worth the fight it takes to get there. Lacey has a past that will not let her go even though she is determined to more forward. Is Gunner Ranch, Lacey's future? What a great story, there is so much feeling and visual triggers in this book that you just feel like you are there and apart of the story. I love that and cannot wait to read more. Enjoy!

Lacey is running from a motorcycle gang and she runs out of gas close to Colt's family ranch where they take her in to help with his ailing mother who loves for her to read romance books to her. She knows she needs to move on but no one has ever been so kind to her before and her attraction to Colt is more than she expected. Colt is running from love and is the playboy of the town but when Lacey ends up at the ranch looking all scare he thinks his playboys days are over. What will happen when the motorcycle gang finds them?

This is the 4th book I've read written by Megan Hethington; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

I loved the chemistry between the characters.

I enjoyed Lacey and Colt's story. It is one heck of an emotional roller coaster read that completely grabbed from the very beginning. I could not put it down until the end. Colt and Lacey had chemistry and attraction that can't be denied. Their story is nicely developed and well written. The action, suspense and danger definitely keeps your attention. Great twists and turns as well as passion and love.

I have really enjoyed reading this book, the author did such a great job developing the characters, that I feel like I really know them, and not just the major characters, but the minor ones too.

Also, it caused me to lose quite a bit of sleep while I was reading it, because it was so hard to put down at night.

This is an awesome book that I really enjoyed. The story , characters and plot pulled me in form the beginning and I couldn't put it down. I loved the characters, and their story they were very hot and steamy. The story has plenty of action, drama, suspense, twists, turns, adventure, danger, and a great romance. It's a definite must read for any fan and I can't wait to read more from this author.

Falling in love with a cowboy

Colt is the cowboy every woman dreams of having her heart lassoed by. Once again, Hetherington writes a sexy, romantic HEA story that pulls you in and doesn't let you go until you turn the last page. Loved the secondary characters and eager to read their stories. Well written, which is important to me as it keeps me engaged and eager for next book in the series.

Finding cowboy love

Lacey (Hanna) is escaping her past and stumbles into Colt and their ranch where she ends up getting a job to care for his mom. The family instantly falls for Lacey and she’s fallen for them too. Finding happiness and love for baking. Her past comes back to haunt her and it’s a fight to break free to a loving future. I wasn’t sure about this but it pulled me in and I couldn’t stop reading. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to read book two in the series.
