The second instalment in this series was a good quick read.

Nathan has returned to his home town hoping for closure for his parents, after six years running from the memories of their deaths has become the norm but after taking leave from the Army he’s decided the time has come to let the past go. Avoiding returning to his family home he stops at the local diner and once he spots Annie he realises he was always meant for her. But she’s engaged and he has no way to find her will fate step in and help him find the love of his life?

Annie was struck dumb when the handsome man came to defend her from some rather handsy patrons, no one had ever done that for her. She’s aware of how attractive he is but knows he’d never look twice at curvy girl like her well that’s what her fiancé tells her. Things on her life need to change is Nathan the person to show her that?

Ok so there is a kiss between the two main characters whilst she is with her fiancé and there was a violent scene. Short read. 3.5🌟

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Nathan and Annie. Nathan returned to his hometown while on leave from the army and he saw Annie at the local diner. Nathan was very attracted to Annie and he knew she was the one for him. When customers harassed Annie, Nathan stepped in and came to her rescue. Annie then fled, she had to get home to her fiance after her shift. Nathan tried to find Annie, but he couldn't, he did learn she was engaged though. Nathan didn't want to give up and when he was out running, he found Annie. Annie was crying over a fight she had with her fiance and she didn't know where to go. Nathan stopped to talk to Annie and told her she could come back with him to his place. Annie was attracted to Nathan and they had a connection, so she went with him. Nathan wanted Annie and when he kissed her, she remembered her fiance and she fled. Nathan wasn't going to give up so easily and went to look for her again. I liked this quick and steamy read. i liked how protective Nathan was of Annie and how he knew she was the one for him. Good one. .

A enjoyable story. The story will keep you interested to see what happens next with Nathan and Annie. The story is faced paced steamy read. The characters fit well together and have great chemistry. This is the second book in this series. Looking forward to see what comes next.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were interesting and the story line was good. I couldn’t put this book down until I finished it.

"I saw myself with Annie during our middle-aged years, happy and laughing as we walked on some beach together. I saw us sitting two rocking chairs, still holding hands even while we’re old and grey, smiling wistfully as our little grandkids dot our front porch, playing some game that’s peculiar to their time. And like the first moment I saw her, I acknowledged that she was my love and we’ll be together. Forever."

Luckily Nathan came to the rescue just in time. For his efforts, he was able to claim his woman.
