A dragon-shifter trapped by fate.Must steal a heart to save his powers…But can love ever truly bloom, when caught within a lie?
As leader of the dragon-shifters that defend Prospect Falls, Adam battles demons and monsters on a regular basis—but he never guessed his greatest test of all would be finding love. Fated to lose his powers if he remains unwed by the age of thirty-five, Adam has little time to meet and court a woman who’ll embrace the man he is, and the dragon within.
When Molly crashes her vehicle and wakes up in the arms of a tall, dark-eyed rescuer, the world is a throbbing mess of confusion. She doesn’t know who she is, where she’s from, or how she got there. Worst of all, her handsome savior is a complete stranger—despite the fact they’re apparently in love, and happily married.
Molly struggles to understand how she could have forgotten the intense, charismatic man that tenderly nurses her back to health. Sparks fly between them, but Molly’s memories refuse to return…and something isn’t adding up. Her mysterious husband is keeping secrets and when the truth is finally revealed, Molly’s world will come crashing apart a second time.
This is Book 1 in the series "Guardian Dragons of Prospect Falls". All books in the series can be read as standalones with a HEA and no cliffhangers.
Adam is leader of the dragon clan in Prospect Falls. It’s his job to keep the demons away from humans. He’s a guardian. Centuries ago his clan was ordered to America to keep it safe, but something followed his family, a portal from another dimension opened up on the mountain, so his family can never leave, someone had to stay to keep the humans safe. There is also the matter of him losing his ability to shift (so losing his dragon and his strength) when he turns thirty-five, unless he’s mated! But it looks like fate might be in his favour when Molly lands in Adams lap!
Molly is on her way to Prospect Falls, when she’s in a car accident. (Why? We aren’t sure, but I think she was unhappy with her old life) Things are a little hazy, in fact when she wakes up she can’t remember anything, including her name and her past! Adam says they are married, but why is she not convinced? She can’t call him a liar, it’s just a feeling.
Molly and Adam feel the pull to each other, but Adam is trying to get Molly to fall for him before she remembers who she is. Because once she remembers she could leave him and take his heart!
First book in a four book series. This can be read on its own. Adam has been looking for a mate for a while, but living in Prospect Falls females have been in short supply. Although I do think that’s an excuse, he’s probably just left it too late! Molly seems like a god send, she could be the answer to his problems. Lying to her at first seems to be the logical course of action, but getting to know her, Adam wants Molly to fall for him for real. I Like the fact Molly hadn’t fallen completely for Adam, she does find him attractive, and if they are married then it should be right to find your husband sexy, but I like she’s not completely gullible. She’s keeping a level head.
And when Molly finds out that he’s lied to her about them, what’s in store for Adam? Oh and i dread at what Molly will think of Adam turning into a dragon, and that there are demons in Prospect Falls.
I enjoyed this first story of the Guardian Dragons of Prospect Falls. It was a good read with bursts of action throughout. I was a little surprised with the simplicity of the solution, but it was still a fun, quick read. Molly is running away from her old life, but runs into a demon on the way. Fortunately, Adam was following the demon and saved her, but then things get confusing, as he really doesn't want her to leave. So Adam creates this whole story to keep her with him. Twists and turns prevail. I can't wait to see what happens next in this series.
The fast pace keeps the tone uncertain yet hopeful and the storyline is character and action oriented with some steamy scenes. The characters are vibrant. The dragon shifters are different from other worlds. I enjoyed seeing this difference. Enjoy!
Wildly entertaining bit ot wasn't as captivating as it should be. The characters are alright but Molly and Adam are a bit dense for being so smart. Plus the majority of the story was about her amnesia and Adam lying to her. He laid it on a little thick and it was a little boring and there was little action with the demons. Plus you never get to know why they were after her her and then they just happened to disappear in the end. It seems kind of flimsy and not very satisfying. I'm not sure I like this one.
I love shifters, especially dragons that's why I have this book a chance. It's has a good storyline and good characters. However it is severely rushed. There's no character growth. No depth . No emotional connection to the characters. At least for me. If the author would have developed a deeper broader world this story line would have been a 5 star easily.
The idea that the lead female character could lose her memory after an accident and the lead male character lies to her saying he’s her husband is wrong on so many levels. This is a fated mate story. You don’t have to stoop to what is tantamount to assault to get these characters together. It’s not good drama. It’s a desperate man willing to control the life of a female for the sake of the story. It’s lazy. It’s dangerous. It’s disgusting.
This was a suspenseful story and I liked it very much. Molly and Adam were actually surprising. Every shifter author has different rules about their shifters and different descriptions for them. I think this was my first dragon with feathers instead of scales. Really good story.
Sadly I just couldn’t get into this book. I skipped pages, skimming most of the book and none of it made reading this any better. I typically can devour a book in one day, this one I’ve had since it’s release day and would only be able to read a couple of pages before putting it down. Very dry read, boring over all.
I enjoyed the storyline of the dragons living in earth all along to protect these people. I was a refreshing outlook for Dragon shifters life on earth. Sometimes the shifter books storyline from different authors seem to nippy one another . An enjoyable new outlook for Dragon shifters.
Interesting reading. I liked the characters and was glad when Molly got her man/dragon. However, the author forgot when working out the plot details that the flat tires on the truck needed to be explained so Molly could make her get away from the demon. The story was fast paced and kept the reader's attention to the end.
If you have not read this series, hop to it you won't be sorry. I loved all 4 stories in this series. There was action, love and suspense. Serena did a wonderful job with each of the people. Their stories separate, but linked. Read them in order for your best understanding of this series.
It was a good story..I thought it dragged in some places but on the whole it wasn't a bad book. The reading was a little slow at times trying to figure out exactly what was going on and what the role of the different characters was.
When Molly is attacked by a demon will Adam be able to save her? Will Molly's love be enough to save Adam in the end? Serena Meadows writes a compelling story about true love and mates.
This is a good, well written, shifter, action romance. The primary characters are well developed and future characters introduced. Molly hits something but loses her memory when Adam rescues her. Read their story and enjoy.
Holy shiznet!!! What a gr8 story. Ms. Meadows really knows how to weave an interesting story just like this one. I'm looking forward to reading the next book. I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs up
Dragon Savior is book 1 of Serena Meadows Guardian Dragons of Prospect Falls series. The characters are wonderfully written. The world building is interesting with a few twist. Looking forward to reading more of the series.
A wonderful story of love trust and a bond. Adam has to be married by his 35th birthday. He has to save Molly from a demon attack. Adam is attracted her and soon realize he feels something for her. With the help of his friends he courts Molly and deal with the demons.
This book is amazing, very fast paced, and filled with excitement from page one. Adam and Molly are fated mates. Adam recognizes this and save her from demons, but in doing so has to lie. He doesn't want to, but he needs her desperately in his life. Without her, he has no life. Throughout the story, you read how they battle their own personal demons while battling true demons to come out stronger together as one. Serena Meadows is a true storyteller. Her characters draw you in and keep you engaged in the story until the very last page. This is another great read to pick up and enjoy. I voluntarily reviewed this book for an honest review.
Adam and Molly are brought together by fate. He realizes she is the one for him and will do anything he can to keep her with him, even if he has to lie. When those lies are revealed, he has to fight to keep his mate by his side.
I enjoyed the story. Even though he lies, you know he doesn't do it to hurt her. He just doesn't know what else to do. His secrets are too big. I thought they made a very good couple and liked the ending.
"A dragon-shifter trapped by fate. Must steal a heart to save his powers. But can love ever truly bloom, when caught within a lie?" This is the first book in Serena Meadows new series. Really enjoyed meeting the four guardians. Well written.
I received an ARC copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving a honest review.
This is another wonderful example of Serena's story telling. It is well written and fast paced, with believable characters and a few different twists on the scenarios.
I enjoyed the book and the story of Adam and Molly. While reading I realized that I was so engrossed in the story that I lost track of time. I enjoyed the storyline and it flowed so wonderfully I almost felt like I was there. I look forward to reading your next book 😊😊
