I knew right away this was shot by a male photographer. The male gaze is overwhelming and honestly quite off-putting. Despite being labeled as yuri, it has little to do with actual yuri beyond the fact that there are two women in the frame. There’s none of the subtle tension or emotional intimacy that defines the genre. Instead, it feels like a fantasy catered entirely to a straight male audience. On top of that, the photography itself is underwhelming. The compositions are uninspired, and the color grading feels cheap and amateurish.
