Leger - Cat Sleuth #38

Leger's Gratitude

Rate this book
Leger's lifestyle has finally caught up with him and he is now living in hiding in the highlands with Annabella and Nicole. Life in the wilderness has many benefits but Leger finds it difficult to adjust to his new, temporary home and gets lost one evening. When he is rescued by a kindly American lady and her son and returned home by them, he is filled with gratitude. The visiting Americans invite their new Scottish friends for Thanksgiving dinner the following day, but Annabella has a bad feeling about this woman. Leger decides to throw himself into the celebrations until he accidentally disturbs a thief at work while everyone else is downstairs at dinner. He is assaulted and then the thief vanishes, almost as if he had never been there at all. Leger is confused, questioning his own memories. Amber thinks there is more to this than meets the eye and his new American friends are somehow involved, but Leger desperately wants to believe the best about them. Can he work through this confusion, discover what really happened and who was involved?
