Reads more like a self-help book than a proper religious text.

Religion is dead on arrival without a rich mythology. Compared to the Catholic or Hindu religion this is pretty slim pickings.

De afgelopen jaren heb ik talloze keren gehoord over de Tao Te Ching van Lao Zu. Verschillende mensen spraken erover en vooral Michael Pilarczyk had het er vaak over. Beetje bij beetje werd ik steeds nieuwsgierig naar de wijsheden uit dit boek en toen ik het voor de derde keer in handen had bij mijn favoriete boekhandel kocht ik het (tweedehands) boek.

Het is niet het origineel, want het is opnieuw vertaald, maar de boodschappen blijven hetzelfde. Ik moet wel toegeven dat ik de hele geschiedenis en niet heb gelezen, want dat interesseerde me gewoon niet zo veel.

Veel van de wijsheden- die ik de afgelopen jaren heb gelezen - van Lao Zu vond ik hier weer terug. Aangevuld met mooie foto’s en illustraties.

Short read interesting at times, but also the known author is likely not the actual author of this work and Dallas Scriptures are massive compared to this core work of their faith

Foundational text for all the sorts of philosophy and religion. Excellent for certain groups; Taoism of course, occult druidry.
Also an excellent self help book.
